The entrees (beef carpaccio and croquettes) were amazing but the mains were pretty awful. Squid ink pasta (fresh pasta didn't seem fresh) and $40 duck breast (skin wasn't rendered properly) with dried potatoes and a corn cob!?!?was not worth the money. We asked them to be done again. Basically, when you're charged this kind of price, you expect a great plate of food but we didn't get that at this restaurant unfortunately. However the staff member who looked after our complaints was very responsive and we were very appreciative. The professionslism of the Chef is clearly below that of the waiting staff, which makes it difficult for them. Also what's really disappointing is they do not have a toilet onsite!! This is not acceptable for a (fine dining) restaurant. As there are numbers of very competitive restaurants nearby, I'd rather go there than come back here.

First time at Wharf one, liked the sister restaurant (Bella) and really liked it... I was not too impressed with the menu at What One, at the moment.. the food was just ok... We are in a pandemic, so I was not expecting to have a lot of staff at the restaurant (and they looked understaffed), but waiters were great :)

This restaurant is fabulous. I loved the views, the ambience, the wine and of course the food. I think the price tag may have been up there but nothing was too expensive. You don’t mind paying a couple of dollars more for your meal as long as its presented in an innovative modern way and tastes delicious. As it did. Oh and that brûlée expresso martini dessert made the experience even better. On the day we were there we didnt get the best wait person. In fact we had someone who was still learning the job. I felt she should have had way more training before they let her just find her own way and throw her into the deep end. It was as if they were trying her out, to sink or swim. But as i am one who has had a lot to do with hospitality in my life I’m possibly a bit more critical than others. I’m able to detect little faults easier…But once again she should have been shadowed, or at least checked on. A new waitress should never mean an experienced waiter get out of work. And at the time the restaurant was not busy….but I enjoy eating in restaurants where my husband and I are left alone to discuss the important matters in our world. I just want my glass kept over 1/4 fill. Hubby’s beer was left empty for a good 15 mins….its ok. We are good to just go order our own at the bar….but restaurant could have made a LOT more money out of us if you had kept tabs on our drinks…in the end we went to another pub for drinks

Had a pleasant evening at Wharf One. The gin-cured salmon, duck breast and pork belly were delicious, well presented and very-well proportioned (albeit could do with more sides for balance). The staff were very friendly, helpful and pretty attentive despite being busy (on a public holiday). The view from the alfresco outdoor seating was lovely, however those tables further out from the canopy lighting really need some sort of table candle/light, as we (and other guests) had to use our phone lights to read the menus and see our meals/not sit in darkness. Overall, a lovely evening.

8 times the waitress came to ask us of we wanted to order when our glasses were full, and we had already said that we will not eat here. It's annoying to be disturbed every 5 minutes. "The service" is not like that .. after 3 times trying to understand that for the customers its not pleasant. But please just come to the table when you see the glasses empty. We were staying at a hotel on the waterfront and had scouted out Wharf One when walking around the waterfront. The views are spectacular and the testing menu looked appealing. We were at the end of the season and some of the staff were backpackers preparing to move on, so the service was a bit so-so, we had to ask for more water, I had to signal for more attention at our table (clear plates after we had been finished for half an hour, more water, more beers - empty for 20 minutes, dessert menu etc) It wasn't bad per se, but it took away from what was otherwise an excellent experience. I highly recommend the tasting menu, it is fantastic with enough that there is no way you will walk away less than full!. The quality of the seafood was remarked upon several times by my wife. The location is fantastic and the views spectacular. I've included day pictures so you have an idea of what you are looking towards at night. Recommend the tasting menu Definitely worth a stop.

We had a great time at this restaurant, even on a Monday evening it was packed and we can totally understand why. Even though it was full, the staff was very kind and attentive to everyone. Our food was delicious and portions were generous. This is definitely the best option to have dinner at the Darwin waterfront!

We ate at Wharf One on our last night in Darwin! It was one of the best service experiences we have received through out our entire trip!! Josef our waiter was absolutely amazing, we was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!! We got the seafood platter which was absolutely divine with a lovely bottle of pinot grigio followed by espresso Martinis and creme Broulee which were delicious!! If I had to nit pick the fish spring rolls were slightly fishy but other than that a 10/10 from us!! 🙂

Waitresses were very attentive. Frequently checking on us and replacing water. The food didn’t take long to arrive, we had a table of 13 people. The bartenders took a while to make and deliver drinks, waited about 20 minutes for drinks and the restaurant wasn’t busy for a Tuesday evening. The Pimms cocktails were terrific, full of a variety of fruit which I like to see! Ordered the BBQ Beef Ribs, it fell right of the bone. My guests ordered the Gnocchi and Spaghetti, the Gnocchi was good but the Spaghetti needs improving. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Salami and Crème Brûlée. Crème Brûlée was yummy, the Chocolate Salame was not what you would expect, it’s like a flattened chocolate ball without coconut.

Wharf one had a great atmosphere down on the waterfront in the stokes hill precinct in Darwin. Food was really nice, a great selection on the menu including some specialty items like black pudding and lambs brains! Service staff were also nice. Extensive drinks menu tops of a pretty solid experience. Highly recommended in my book.

We like this place. Cocktail Darwin Sea Breeze was very refreshing, worth to try. The pork belly was also very good. Slow cook beef was better than average but overall we were satisfied and are happy to come back.

The restaraunt was beautiful and the lighting was quite low creating a nice ambiance but that's as far as I would go with perks for this restaraunt. For the price paid for the food, it left quite a bit to be desired flavour wise. I decided on the pork belly as they had no chicken dishes and the pork had no flavour, it was tough and the crackling, well it wasn't crackling. There were 4 squares of pork on the plate with wilted silver beat that tastes just like wilted silver beat. Maybe a bit of garlic or a seasoning of some kind may have gone well with that? My fiance had the slow cooked beef pot and while it was nice the flavour was very mild. When you first take a bite you expect the flavour to increase with each mouthful but it just teases the taste buds almost as if someone was too scared of the spices again. Beautiful restaraunt with a lot of potential but unfortunately the food left a lot.to be desired.

We were a group of 5 men in Darwin for work, who decided to have a drink while we waited for our table at another restaurant as we didn't have a booking. Our waitress was the lovely Anna, her table service was so outstanding, we decided to eat here instead. Everyones meals were great, in fact all of us said it's the best food and service we have had in Darwin in two weeks of eating out every night. With a few months to go, we will be back there for sure.

Ate here last night if there is one place that is head and shoulders above the competition in Darwin it is Wharf One. The food was delicious Jose the waitor we had was extremely helpful and well manored. The food is of such high quality yet this restaurant is very affordable. Has an excellent location with both inside and outside showcasing a great view of the water. Take your wife, mother or grandmother here

Called in for dinner without a reservation, but friendly staff found us a table for two, albeit inside. We had been to Wharf 1 on previous trips to Darwin and it had always been very good, but this time it was excellent. Menu offers plenty of share plates. We had the croquettes, vodka cured salmon, grilled octopus, and griiled barramundi. All were excellent and the octopus was superb. Really friendly and efficient service capped off a great dinner.

Just had a lunch outside at this beautiful restaurant, stunning weather and a nice light breeze followed by a seafood platter with a choice of two sides. Just a perfect amount for three adults for lunch. The potatoes are to die for and the seafood all beautifully cooked. Loved our lunch so much we have booked to go for dinner tomorrow night being our last night in Darwin.

One of the nicer spots to enjoy a meal in Darwin. The view from the deck is lovely and the staff are always accommodating. While we were waiting a while for food on a busy night, the quality made up for it. Will be visiting again!

Started out good Though the Maitre'd seemed a little disinterested, the rest of the staff were very friendly. The $24 antipasto which had 4 olives was stingy to say the least. It took 15 mins to discover our plates were empty it took another 15 mins before some one realised we appeared to be waiting for something it took another 10 before we got the drinks we had ordered when they cleared the table. If you do go at night and sit outside make sure phone as a flashlight app as you won't be able to read the menu One other thing that concerned me was the split in the bread board our charcuterie was served on had a split not sure how heiginic this is

Wharf One offers some very unique experiences like the suckling pig. Personally I wasn't hungry at the time and ended up ordering the grilled burger. The char grill was sensational. This place definitely hits Darwin's top ten but a is outclassed by a few other locations when it comes to a total dining experience.

Has to be one of the best restaurants in Darwin. The staff (Jose) was absolutely exceptional, constantly giving us new sparking water (free) and cleaning the table. Could not fault one thing about the food. Would go back to this restaurant any day of the week. Has a great vibe with music and lighting suitable for any occasion.

My two experiences with Wharf One have both been quite large functions through our sporting club. Every time it has been fantastic, the staff are fabulous, the service is top notch and the food was delicious (due to it being a function the food was of the finger food variety) The staff put a lot of effort into making sure everything ran according to plan. It is also accompanied by a fabulous view of the waterfront. From a purely functiin prospective, this is the place to be.
