A really good Asian fusion hotpot place with Japanese Shabu shabu hotpot style and a variety of sauce bases ranging from mild to spicy. I would say the best highlight here is that if you don't want to add your meat/veg into the hotpot soup you can add it into the grill. This concept is a very good one and an interesting one depending on your taste. Would definitely recommend this place for awesome Asian hotpot. And even the prices are way cheaper than some other hotpot places.

Vegan. Heaven. This is the best soy ‘meat’ I have ever tasted in my five years of veganism, and three out of four broths can be made vegetarian/vegan. Don’t delay, just visit. Unbelievable shabu

Loved it. Went with a mixed group including young and old, vegetarian and not and it was fabulous. Super personable waiter who explained everything and helped make the meal a great night to remember. Seafood platter with scallops, salmon, prawns and squid (with noodles and veg) was great value. Vegetarian mock meats were some of the best the vego's had tried. Fun. 10/10 recommend.

This place is the best!!!!! The guy who served us was so nice, and was very attentive throughout the evening. The food was next level! We have done hotpot and Korean bbq a bunch of times before but I have never come across somewhere with such great veggie options. The soy “duck” is phenomenal and goes so well with the soups and the housemade dipping sauce. Portions are very generous, we spent $60 and left so full! Definitely a must have when you are in Hobart!

Good cook-your-own Shabu Shabu or Korean BBQ. Relatively pricey, and you end up smelling like the cooked food! But great fresh food, and loads of vegan and veggie options.

Amazing way of dining out. Super friendly and helpful service. We had a great time, loved the food, the choice of spices in the dips and in the broth in which you boil your choice of food is incredible. Amazing!! My Aunt and I came in today (10/02/19) for lunch and we were not disappointed. The gentleman who served us was so friendly and helpful. The food was so yummy, not to mention the unlimited soup was delicious. Totally would recommend to anyone looking for some tasty fun food.

It is a pretty good restaurant. Their hot pot and gill are wonderful and the price is not expensive. I also like their sauce, very unique and tasty. Actually, When I stay in Hobart, I tried many Asia food restaurants, and I think it is one of the best one. I found other people also thought so. It is very obvious if you compare Shabu Shabu with other restaurants in the same street, Shabu Shabu's business is much better. Strong recommend!

Foodwise, I must say that it is pretty good. Good food presentation, and portions are reasonable. Just remember that soup base are CHARGEABLE, PER PERSON! So dont be fooled that the price you pay is only for the food (vege, meat etc.) really a great place for visitors, seafood is very fresh !!!! truly a great place for all visitors!!!!banquet platter is very delicious for 2 people !! !!!

I LOVED Monsoon! The staff are really friendly, attentive and helpful and the food is amazing. Greatest shabu shabu outside of Japan. They do a Tom Yum soup base as well which is so delicious....I'd live there if I could. Majority of the menu is gluten free which is an added bonus 😍

Love it! Hobart’s MEAT Paradise! Platters have variety of veggies so it’s quite balance in nutrition. The soup in the middle of Grill pan really warmed me up in the freezing night, but the “Lao’s soup base” was too hot and spicy for me LOL. Really enjoyed the experience, except for people coming up to open window area to see what I was doing. I think they may have thought they could order at the front window where they have the individual hot pots. 🤣 very enjoyable... I think probably it would be helpful for others to have more clear instructions if they have not had hot pot before though.

Staff were so accommodating to squeeze us in on a super busy Saturday without a booking. Food was fresh and tasty, and the place is licensed. Definitely a great place for a fun dinner for two or a bigger group of friends.
