K. K.The food in this restaurant is magnificent. I had the champagne oysters for entree and eye Fillet steak for dinner which I thought was the best steak I have ever had for 20 years. Perfectly cooked and seasoned . And breakfast the following morning was special and delicious
A. G.The food is absolutely delicious! My favourite dishes were the breakfast pizza and the chocolate rocher. The service was also very friendly. The only downside is that they are always busy so you need to book ahead.

The oysters with granita are fresh (I think they are bruny island) and very clean. The cured salmon had nice flavours and was not fishy. The asparagus truffle entree was good too. We were blown away by the size of the brussel sprouts. The sirloin the as cooked perfectly and the jus worked well with both the steak and the mushroom main. The mushroom main is very nice, but I don't think it would be filling enough by itself for a main.
Loved the accorplus dining benefit and as Accor elites staying at the hotel, we were able to use our complimentary welcome drinks with our dinner to pick some nice wines.
Y. L.Tried the road trip course. Oyster was delicious. Then there were 5 veg salads with too many repeated ingredients. For the long waiting main, scallop was well cooked but fish was dry and flavorless. Need more protein then veg. Deserts were ok but a bit too sweet.
Overall, below expectations.
Tried breakfast the next day and it's much better. Plates were well presented and delicious.

T. C.Above our expectations! My husband and I stayed in Hobart for 3 days and couldn't resist eating at Tesoro for breakfast and dinner each day. Waiting Staff were outstanding - extremely attentive without being annoying. Food was exceptional. Can't wait to visit again.

R. M.Steak was really nice and very tasty. Well cooked although due to its size and the grill it had cooked at slightly different consistency across the meat. If I am honest however the chips could have been cooked a little better.

S. S.Very disappointed here. Waiter seemed incompetent.. trying to order food and drinks was hard. My friend asked for Shiraz and I asked for whats a good recommendation on gin, he said he will provide a taste test. He comes back with two Shiraz wine to try thinking I too wanted Shiraz. He asked which I prefered and I said gin again, he responds with 'how would you like it?' I said with tonic, lime and no ice, then he disappeared for a while forgetting about my gin. Eventually he came back with a gin tonic, orange and ice!!! On top of that our food tool over 50minutes. Ordered the 550g rib eye cooked medium that came out so dry, could barely chew it. Entre and salads were fine. First time here and disappointed!!!

The food; the snack and starters where a mouth full of goodness but when it came to main it lack whole lot of something and it simmed to flow with getting staffs attion too through out the evening. Dessert where well put together.

Oysters came out a tad cold, but delicious non the less. Very talented staff and once again a simple but comprehensive wine selection. Ground floor restaurant in the new Mövenpick Hotel, it is an excellent choice for dinner or if you’re peckish at breakfast, my stand out is the eggs Benedict with lobster- primo! The Lunch menu goes until 4:30, there is something for everyone, at any anytime.

B. H.Loving the new places around Hobart. The menu looked great. When we sat down we saw that the fried chicken waffles had a topping of ice cream. I'm all keen to try new things but this was just odd. We ordered it anyways to try it out. Not too sure where this idea came from but it wasn't the best idea. The ice cream melted and made the crispy fried chicken soggy. The layout of this place was amazing, comfortable and modern. Please please change the way you serve salt though. We are going through a pandemic and you're serving salt in little dishes for everyone to touch - please change ASAP 😊 other than that the food was not too bad for breakfast and the hospitality was really good. P. M.When we stayed at the hotel and we left this place till last. What a mistake that was. We hadn't booked a table but they were happy to serve us at the bar. The staff were so accomodating and really helpful when recommending dishes on the menu.
The cocktails were great but the steak was even better. To this day it has to have been the best steak I have ever had. Prices were reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for. Look forward to coming back and eating here again.

L.Good food and excellent service but be careful, we had the set lunch menu for $35.00, plus coffees $ 5.00 each, reasonable but the waiter came over and asked if I wanted dressing on my ice cream [ don’t know what it was but it was pretty bitter, assumed it would be chocolate or coffee or similar]said yes but did not realise this added $9.00 to the bill. My partner asked for a a slice of bread and was told that this was also extra. They did not know how much, we asked, so presume it would have been another $9.00 did not have it.
That said the food was reasonable and the service excellent would probably go back.

b. b.We stayed at the attached hotel for 3 nights and ate at the restaurant each morning. Each time we walked in we were welcomed with happy faces and a cheerful goodmorning. We couldn't fault any of the meals we tried. The staff were all so lovely and accommodating. Special mentions to Puspa and Andrea for their exceptional service, friendly manner and being attentive to us. Always greeted us with a happy smile and goodmorning. Definitely recommend this place!
