[3.5] Located in the historical Manchester Unity Building that was built in 1932, this cute vintage place serves a good breakfast and coffee. I ordered the Smashed Avocado & Sweet Corn Bruschetta w. Shaved Cucumber, Radishes, Haloumi, Poached Egg & Rocket on Multi-Grain Toast ($18.50). I enjoyed it very much and found it zesty enough. Their flat white was nice & fresh. Quick service and friendly staff.

Have been trying to get here for a little while. Mission accomplished - in the heart of the city and one of Melbourne's iconic buildings. The Manchester Unity Building - Art Deco and honouring with a fabulous period setting. Good coffee, good atmosphere with photographs dotting the walls. The food looked well presented. I liked it.

Read the reviews and decided to try this place. Good food and relatively good price. I came for the Lamb Ragu Pasta as advertised on their online menu but when I arrived it wasn't on there and was replaced by a Lamb Salad, which I got anyway. It was busy, and a little cold to sit outside but much fresher than inside. They have heaters and even blankets haha!

We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious lunch at the 1932 Cafe and loved the tour of this stunning building. We have always lived in Melbourne and had no idea that this treasure holds and reflects so much of our city's history. As a huge Art Deco fan I was in awe of the architecture and features as well as the amazing engineering feats that were achieved back in 1932!. Highly recommend this experience.

Incredible. I arrived spot on 7am on 25 Feb with a delegation and told the wait staff we needed to be out by 8. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and the coffee was amazing!! They use Bonsoy, which is the premier soy milk above all others. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

Had breakfast there the girls are always friendly and smiling. The service is of high standard, and same with the food then comes the coffee ☕☕☕☕ the coffee was awesome, just what I needed in the morning. A little gem tucked away in the arcade of the Manchester Unity arcade. Central location. Lovely place with inside & outside in the arcade eating. After a bit of a shakey staff with a waitress getting short tempered with us when we asked to be seated at an empty table not sandwiched between 4 other patrons we were delighted with the food. The pumpkin hummus, greens and poached eggs is a gluten free delight and my hubby enjoyed his eggs Florentine. The chai is amazing - zingy with spice as it is a leaf and spice mixture not the horrible too sweet powdered insipid stuff served up at othe cafes. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. Overall a delightful experience.

This is for takeaway coffee only. They were being absolutely slammed due to a conference nearby, and while the team stayed friendly they were definitely frazzled. Coffee was okay, a bit weak. Would probably be a very different experience if I'd been there in a quieter time, but if they look super busy I'd try somewhere else.
