With only 4 other people in the restaurant, service was incredibly slow with a 20 minute wait for my food. Burger, fries and shake were good though!

My new favourite burger place! Store is always clean, food is always amazing and Craig is an absolute champion, friendly and knowledgeable with the products and understands a persons needs when it comes to pickles on a burger. It’s seems Carls has more than one Superstar in store! 10/10 every time.

Carl’s has now become a bit of a tradition for us in Knox now since we attend a car meet up the back once a month. Firstly, their menu is accomodating to those who like them “bunless” like me; which is awesome! They have an app with regularly updated offers to choose from. Bottomless drinks are great too and the staff (particularly Craig, who we’ve met a couple of times now) are really lovely. We’ll keep coming back :)

What can I say. I found my fave burger in Australia. The size is big and the taste of hawaiian burger is amazing.. And wait there's more. Unli refill of drinks are the best. I'm gonna try all other burger in my next visit, that's for sure. Beef bourbon is next on my list.

The burger I got there was horrible. Smushed and the bacon was greasy and black. Perhaps they didn't clean the grill properly? It wasn't even busy so not sure how it could have been so bad. Chips and milkshake were great though.

The burgers taste better than they photograph, which is ok considering they’re not designed to be hung a wall😉. Stuck our heads in here on a late Sunday afternoon post lunch rush. Being In and Out fans we were a bit excited about having a US Burger shop join the Aus market. Tried The Famous, sadly the patty was the processed kind so sat a little heavy in the stomach (though salads in the burger were fresh/crunchy which impressed). The chips are great, only surpassed here in Aus (in my humble opinion) by Schnitz; and the thickshake is how a shake should be (maccas take note). No issue getting a table, though being a small restaurant that could be tricky on a Friday or Saturday night. The hostess was lovely, restaurant was clean, and music not too loud so you could hear yourself talk. Overall fairly happy with our new friend from the US. Would pick over maccas, but no match for Grill’d in Aus or In and Out in the US.

I went to a Carl's Jr many years ago in New Zealand and didn't like it. I haven't tried the burgers from Carl's Jr in Australia, so I decided to give it a go. Date of visit: 5 June 2020 around 8pm-ish Still didn't like it. It was edible; though, the bun was falling apart as I ate. The burger was Hawaiin Angus Burger. I couldn't taste the pine-apple and didn't get that refreshing hit I was hoping for and expecting from "Hawaiin" labelled food. The pineapple was juicy. The burger sauce was delicious. The burger is also not sitting well after a couple of hours. This is me - I have the same problem with Hungry Jacks Whopper, and a little bit with McDonalds. My partner loves Carl's Jr and Hungry Jacks. There was nothing wrong with the food, it just doesn't suit me; I go ok with more expensive, higher quality burgers. So, if you have problems with or just don't like Hungry Jacks, you might have the same reaction to Carl's Jr. Again, nothing wrong with the venue, or the food. It just might not suit some people.

It was good! I always wanted to try Carl’s Jr so I was excited for it being my first time. I found the burger menu slightly confusing as there were discrepancies in the written menu and the one on the board. I did eventually make my decision though and ordered the biggest burger on the menu. When it arrived, to me it was reminiscent of a Whopper. They are similar in price so that would make sense. Either way I enjoyed my Carl Jr experience, would return for a sneaky cheat burger

I'm originally from Southern California and Carl's Jr is one of my favorite fast food chains. The menu is a little different than so cal. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is similar to the United States but with subtle flavor differences (which is to be expected as it's a different country). I really miss well priced weekly specials they used to have on the application. The only real complaint I have is that in the United States if you ask for extra onions pickles or sauce on your burgers/sandwich you do not get charged also you do not get charged for condiments, and you get charged here, I personally like triple onions and pickles and double sauce on my burgers and sandwiches. All in all a great experience and when I want a flash flavor of San Diego I come here. Thanks y'all and keep up the great work.

Having first visited a Carl’s Jr. in The USA way back in 2009, we made sure of a visit on each subsequent trip. We were also happy to see them start to open in Australia and were very happy to see the one in Knox, being so close to home. The burgers are great. Having visited other iterations of other international burger places OS, they lose a lot in translation in Australia but Carl’s Jr. is the most authentic to its US roots. Still there are a few little differences and if they have the gumption to not pander totally to what they think Aussies want and give the exact package, we would be happy. Make no mistake though, still the best burger chain in Melbourne.

I came when they first opened. We enjoyed the burgers. The loaded fries, weren't so loaded- really only on the top. This time round, we greatly enjoyed the burgers again: fresh and tasty. Really nice. We also had the chilli sauce fries, which were nice, however too salty for me. As I usually don't put salt on my food, I thought it's easier for me to pick up on the taste. However, my wife who loves plenty of salt on her foods also thought it was too salty. But, overall, really good burgers!

It's a fast food place first and foremost so let's not assume this is fine cuisine. They have cheeseburgers and chicken burgers. They do fries, shakes, etc. It's a lot better than McDonald's (if you want to compare take out places). I highly recommend the plain old chicken burger they offer. Really hits the spot.. but if you're craving a lot of cow... cheese and beef, their beef burgers are just as good. Edit: I'm not sure how this review was taken as bad, it gets 3 stars because it's not perfect but it's not bad either - a midway review. You don't get 5 stars for just existing. I also thought it was common knowledge that Knox Carl's Jr always runs out of the chicken fillets before dinner time most days... you don't get 5 stars for consistency in menu failure.

Came in to have a coffee and decided to get a famous star cheeseburger on a whim. It was probably the best burger i've had in a long while! Highly recommend. Friendly staff with quick service. Plus the staff are constantly cleaning and disinfecting common surfaces so you have piece of mind in the trying times of COVID-19.

I seriously love the Burgers at this place. I got the lo-carb burger (which isn't even a real burger to be honest (its wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun) and it was absolutely delicious. I want to go back for another right now. Loses a single point for atmosphere. Place feels like a fast food outlet circa 1995-2005, not like a comfortable restaurant as most of these places have shifted to. The music they play is that awful top forty stuff where it sounds like people are singing through desk fans. Burgers are ten out of ten though, grab one and eat it in your car.

This is my favourite burger joint! The burgers are really tasty and large! They also offer a lower carb option replacing the bun with lettuce leaves instead which makes for a fresher meal! This is place is also the only burger restaurant to offer Cascade Ginger Beer and all their drinks are refillable! I really like their rustic chips which are delicious and different to regular chips or fries...much tastier as the potato skin gives much flavour to the chips! The prices are quite reasonable for what you get and a small meal is still very satisfying!

Tried this place for the first time whilst at Knox Westfield. Burgers were flavoursome and chips were hot and crispy, particularly for a fast food joint! I liked the free soft drink refills and think it would be better if a sparkling or still water option was available! The thick shakes looked amazing, so I will be back again specifically for that! Gave 4 stars only as the pricing is a little more than I would usually expect to pay in a fast food restaurant.

Downhill since opening. Got a meal deal with 2 sundaes, didnt get the sundaes. Thats twice they forgot and to top it off the last time I went there, ordered a small dine in meal only to wait 20mins and have everyone else in the store finish the food they ordered after me leave before I get mine.(the food was cold, not even lukewarm)

The food tastes very comparable to Hungry Jacks, however that's okay because the cheaper prices reflect this appropriately. Staff at the time seemed very new, and a bit slow when considering the store being opened for awhile now (high staff turnover perhaps?). I wouldn't go out of your way to come here unless you're already walking by. Not bad not great, give it a try I reckon.

We tried each other's a d got to admit the Angus variety burgers are incredible. Overall Ithebest way to explain it would be a upgraded hungry Jack's. I love Carl's Jr. I enjoyed it in California and Singapore and am very pkeased that it is now in Australia. It is not extra fast food but that's good as everything is cooked fresh. No cool fries here ever! The food is brought to your table and the trays are removed when you're finished. The staff are very caring.

I have eaten there many times and majority of my visits were good. However I had one really bad experience - I got a blt chicken burger and when I received it there was a bug in my lettuce. My partner took it back up and asked for the manager and he got laughed at and they said to him “you will be surprised how often this happens, I can’t give you any free stuff sorry” To say I was disappointed with their response was an understatement.

This is a follow up review to one of my previous one. This will be covering a double cheeseburger combo. The cheeseburger is very similar to that of a macca double cheese, the key difference is the way Carl's Jr enhances the amount of Flavour, instead of just trying to produce them fast. The chips are much the same as macca but the size is consistent and there are hardly ever small off cuts. From the amount of salt on the chips it can tell that the chips are freshly made which makes it overall great. The only con about it is pricing, other than that it is an amazing place and would highly recommend them! - Michael

We love grabbing a burger here and getting something to eat when we go to the movies . Today we went there and received awesome service from a young man leyton- he was happy to swap the seed bun out for me due to an allergy I have and even checked if the bun could be toasted in the same toaster as the others. More salad fillings and chunkier cut fillings than HJs and Mcd's, burger similar looking to HJs but a little tastier and I find they don't need to drown it in sauce to taste good. It doesn't drip every where with sauce. There is some oil drip though and the burger buns are so thin and easily disintegrate as you eat. Keep in mind these are not on par with for example "Grill'd" burgers. Also the chips weren't great. The strawberry shake though is 100 x better than the usual chains and tastes bomb! It is a real shake. I subbed one in with my meal instead of a soft drink and glad I did!

Wow!! I had been wanting to come here since it had opened and I finally had the chance today. I heard it was good and it was everything I imagined taste wise. I didn't get any pics of my food but I had the western bbq cheeseburger in a medium meal with a chocolate thickshake for $16.95. I can say it was $16.95 well spent! The burger tasted fresh and full of flavour, the medium fries was a decent size, no way could I eat a large. I only went medium for the medium drink rather than fries. Now on to the shake! 😋😋😍😍 YUM!!! best takeaway thickshake. My tastebuds were in tastebud heaven! The staff were cheerful and friendly. I was happy when I was asked if I would like whipped cream on my shake as I can't stand cream on milkshakes I really appreciated being asked. I was also impressed that they bring the meals to your table if you eat in and even if you are taking away they bring it out to you rather than just calling you out. It's nothing major but sometimes I think those small things can make a difference. Thanks Carls Jr! Knox 😁😁

Kind of love this place, however the premium prices and the feel of "fast food" doesn't sit well with me. Better than maccas, a fancy HJ but still fast food and prices should reflect that. Also cashier brings the food to your table... If she can find you. Was really entertained watching her walk up to everyone to see if it's your food. Also she did not keep any area clean at all, felt gross eating around all rubbish on tables. Maybe I'll get it another go but not in any rush to do so

Went there tonight to see what the big deal was. It's slightly better than Hungry Jack's. Hard to get a seat in there. Had to wait for the burgers to get made but they brought them to the table in a reasonable time. The burgers are OK, nothing to write home about. We got a mix of beef and chicken burgers. To be honest, the chicken is probably better. 4 people standing around doing nothing and they asked us 4 times if we were finished with our tray when clearly we hadn't. I'd say some new people to the workforce. Had to try the place once but I won't be hurrying back. I much prefer Mum's burgers in Boronia and would probably drive extra to go there. I would rate it 3/5.
