Great taste and quality. They were busy and it took a while before they could prepare my chicken burger, but it was worth the wait. The bread was more like Lebanese bread but a bit more puffed, so soft and tasty, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were amazing. There were a variety of food there and they had really nice breads as well. It's not an expensive place. You can find different types of dressing around the restaurant. The staff were friendly too, loved it. Recommended.

One of my favorite spots! I’m GF & DF and Chevapi is guaranteed to give me delicious food while keeping me safe! The owner and staff are caring and kind. You must try the Chicken Burger or the Vegan Burger or the Chicken Ribs or the Cabbage Rolls! Lol So many good choices! Chips are a treat too! From last evening's dinner date scenes with bae. We went to try some Balkan cuisines which are mainly based of meat, sausages and veggies at Chevapi Grill in South Melbourne, Australia. We ordered the traditional Balkan dish called, cevapcici or chevapi, which is actually Balkan style angus beef skinless sausages with onion, cabbage salad and ajvar. This was so so excellent that we wanted to have more, one bite of this dish will take you on a hevenly journey to smooth creamy minced meat melting inside your mouth with a fusion of so many delectable flavors. Cost 24 AUD The next one we ordered was punjene paprike, which is actually red pepper stuffed with pancetta, beef and rice, slow cooked and served with mashed potato. This one was very very unique dish that I ever tried, the spicy flavor of paprika infused with cheesy flavor of minced meat and rice along with that delicious mashed potato gave a delightful gastric experience to us. The combination was really beautiful and we both lived this dish a lot. Cost 18 AUD From dessert, we ordered their very common and traditional dish called apple burek, which is very simple to patties filled with apple filling, very tasty and this rare combo made this dessert so perfect. Cost 6.5AUD

All ingredients are fresh and made on a daily basis. Due to lockdown and restrictions, when I went it was takeaway only, but as of June 1st will be open again. Staff are super friendly and I thank them for taking the time to chat so I could write this review. Photos were taken with permission. What I ordered from the current menu: No.17 - Five Chevapi, house special Angus beef skinless sausages [you can get 10 for $24], cabbage salad and roasted pepper relish. $14 - loved the chevapi which had the fresh 'off the grill' smell and taste. The salad was refreshing and cut through the garlic and heaviness of the sausages. The relish was light, not stodgy like some and was a nice accompaniment to the sausages. No.21 - Red pepper, stuffed with pancetta, beef and rice. Slow cooked and served with mash potato. $22 - reminded me of what my mother used to make growing up. The stuffing was the standout of this dish. Tasty and filling. The mash potato was a bit lumpy, but fine to eat. The food is environmentally packaged in sturdy, recyclable boxes. You can makeup your own wrap or meal from these or just eat out of the box when you get home or back to your office. They are a bit pricy, but the quality of the food matches what you get. Drop in and grab some lunch or a snack. You won't be disappointed.

I decided to go for the chevapi burger, the option with 5 chevapi. The burger was incredible. I did not think 5 chevapi could possibly fit so well and snug within the roll, but I was wrong, it did. Complemented by the red onion and sauce, the burger was delicious. The chips were also bloody grouse, it’s funny how so many people stuff up the simple “hot chips these days” but not chevapi grill, they nailed it. Great value for money and service with a smile

This is the sister restaurant to Mediterraneo in Albert Park. The food is exactly the same.. which means the food is fabulous. We just ordered the meat platter delivered to our house. The order was spot on, the staff friendly and the food brilliant.

As a first timer, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were served a lovely meal and a very unique dessert. The Churros are actually completely soaked in syrup!

Had the Cevapcici Bun with all the trappings, a side of Polenta chips and a slice of the flourless Chocolate Almond cake. Probably the best burger l've had in year's not greasy, beautifuly cooked Angus beef patty with no overpowering ingredients, a well cooked portion of polenta chips with a nice crunch. We order from Chevapi a lot, because (a) the food is amazing, (b) they're Coeliac Australia-approved, so I can eat there safely even with coeliac disease, and (c) they're so kind and considerate, every time. In order to make sure our order was safe when I listed a coeliac custimer, they replaced the bun on a normal burger in our order so the whole thing was GF. So great! Thank you. ❤

(Translated) Super restaurant in Melbourne with real Balkan food. They have everything from cups, pleskavic, burek to beer. They also have lacquer and fructal juice. Really positively surprised by the offer and the price is also good. I will definitely visit every time I store "home-made" food;) (Original) Super restavracija v Melbournu z pravo balkansko hrano. Imajo vse od čevapov, pleskavic, bureka do piva. Imajo tudi laško in fructalov sok. Res pozitivno presenečen nad ponudba in tudi cena je kar vredu. Bom definitivno obiskal vsakič, ko mi zapaše “domača” hrana ;)
