The flavours are really good.
The portion sizes are pretty large as well.
Overall happy with this place, would come back again.
Only thing to watch out for is - the menu doesn’t list all key ingredients. Due to covid we ordered from the online menu, I ordered a dish that said chicken and did not list any other meats - I don’t eat pork, when I got the dish it had pork in it.
I obviously found out only after taking a bite. I’m not allergic or anything, I just don’t eat pork. They were very apologetic and took it away - giving me another one without pork.
When you are ordering a dish - just check before placing your order if it definitely doesn’t include any ingredients that you don’t eat, as clearly the key ingredients are not listed on the dish description.

We are so inspired to try Latin America food after watching Netflix Street Food Latin American and found this hidden gem on Queen St.
Food we ordered:
🥘 Bandeja Paisa (beans, crispy pork belly, chorizo, mince beef, a fried egg, rice, avocado, rice plantain, and grilled arepa)
🥞 Arepa De Queso (Traditional Arepa w/ grilled white corn and filled with fresh mozarella cheese).
🫔 Empanadas (Colombian corn patty filled w/ three different flavors)
To start with, The Empanadas - this little pastry is awesome, full of flavors and super delicious. Then onto the main meal, our first time trying out Bandeja Paisa and we are hooked. The national dish of Colombia certainly packs a punch. A lot of different textures on the plate and the portion is massive, must-try dish here. Then we close-off with Arepa, cheesy & corny, another must try dish to round up amazing experience at this restaurant.
Excellent customer service - very friendly staffs. Highly recommended for an authentic Colombian food. Would definitely come back to try other exotic colombian food.

We’re all sleeping on Colombian food here in Melbourne! I was so lucky to find this hidden gem when I was browsing google maps on where to go for my Saturday Date Night.
Colombian food is something that I’ve never tried before, so coming here was a very exciting experience for me. We ordered:
1. Beef & potato empanada
2. Arepa de queso (Cheesy arepa)
3. Patacon Pisa’o Carne (Fried plaintain with meat on top)
4. Punta de Anca a la planca, with Papas Fritas and Aji (Steak with chips and Salsa on the side)
5. Colombian sugar cane lemonade
I was blown away on how delicious these dishes are!! The empanada was crunchy and I think it might’ve used cornmeal pastry as the flavor was quite dominant, I loved it so much 😍
The cheesy arepa was quite yummy and sweet, it had a taste like it should be a dessert somehow.
The Patacon was something that doesn’t taste familiar at all to me but it’s pretty good. I wouldn’t have it again though cause it’s too heavy for me as it’s fried, but the pulled beef on top was spot on!
The Punta de Anca or Sirloin Steak was surprisingly excellent! For only $18 (chips and Aji sauce were add ons $3 and $2 respectively), it’s a damn good steak! Perfectly cooked and well seasoned, great to eat with the Aji which is a Salsa with cilantro, jalapeno, tomatoes, green onion, lemon juice and white vinegar. The salsa was a great to balance to the fats on the steak itself.
Overall, everything was perfect! I was confused on why the place was almost empty when we visited, it really deserves a long queue outside their door, it’s THAT good!! 😍 Please give this place a try and let me know how it goes ✨

A nice little Colombian restaurant in the CBD. Found this place through Google map and we saw the review was good. We were hungry for brunch and decided to give this a try.
The service was friendly and the foods were big in portion. You'll definitely feel full after eating here. You can even share it with friends.
You should definitely try their signature hot chocolate which comes with cheese. It's a very unique experience.
The place also felt homey which was nice.

It was our first time trying the Colombian food recently at @clubcolombiaaustralia & we truly loved it. .
.
Starting with their hospitality, service & interiors, everything is Colombian & very authentic for that matter.
At your tables you are presented with a Colombian cultural hat which you can wear while enjoying your food - getting into the whole theme of the place. .
.
Hence, starting with some red & white wine base Sangria was just perfect.
.
.
Coming to food, mostly everything is gluten free and offers a good variety. We tried
- Plantain base starters with various topping - Corn shell patty with 3 different fillings - The traditional chorizo, arepa & potato for entrees - For mains we called the most famous & traditional Colombian dish having an assortment of 9 different amazing elements - & the Latin American grill with chicken breast rolls filled with ham & cheese
.
.
Everything was wonderful & we were glad that we actually visited @clubcolombiaaustralia & had an amazing experience .
.

A cozy place serving Colombian food and coffee. I have not been to Colombia so I don't know whether it is authentic or not. However, I do like it especially the fried plantain with various toppings - the fried plantain itself is crispy, not oily, has a slightly sweet and firm texture - its quite addictive. i also like the empanada - the skin is crisp, thin and slightly sticky - its not thick and doughy.

Went here this past weekend with my partner. He is half Latino and grew up eating a lot of Latin American food. He ordered the Arepa de Chocolo and the Lechon, and said it was the best meal he'd had in years! I had the vegan arepa and veggie calentado, which they kindly made vegan for me. Everything was really delicious, I wish I had more room in my stomach because I would have ordered some more fried plantains and a dessert! We also had sangria which had a great blend of fruits and flavours, as opposed to some other restaurants in Melbourne that just give you wine spritzer with a slice of orange! We will definitely be back!! Oh, and the woman who served us was really lovely, she actually seemed happy to be there and you could tell she cared about the restaurant and the food.

Real score 3.3 out of 5.
I’m not sure this cafe justifies the hype. On the positive side, Queen Street is a pretty sober grey type of area, I reckon. It needed a brightly fitted out cafe like this with such fun colours. So, the feel good cafe fit out here works, I think. I just grabbed an egg and bacon brioche this time. It was respectable and not bad. The coffee was pretty good too. Dark, rich and tasty. I might return at some point for some of the authentic Colombian dishes although it’s hard for me to imagine they could beat the beauty of the rustic Colombian dishes at Cento Mani eastward down on Flinders Street. It remains to be seen.
On the negative side, I found the service cool and distant here. I received no greeting at all on arrival. There was evident warmth at all from the two people working there at any point including when I left. Service was therefore very transactional. Even the most basic cafe knows to say hello, be pleasant during service, and to say thanks and goodbye on exit. That wasn’t happening here. I wasn’t seeing much different with the various other customers who came in and out either.
Bottom line, there was not much wow factor evident here to me. The cafe certainly didn’t match the hype of the current very high score. Rather, it just struck me as a mid range cafe at best.
S. C.
What a wonderful find! Authentic Colombian food and fantastic service. I had the arepa de queso, which was delicious, and a Pony Malta. Can’t wait to visit again!
J. F. O. M.
The food was delicious, its hard to find good Colombian food in Melbourne but this place has made great dishes with limited ingredients. The only thing is that i felt that the prices were a bit too hign. But the rest is great! I will come back soon!
L. L.
I’ve been wanting to try out this little gem on Queen St in Melbourne. Empanadas were amazing and didn’t disappoint. I tried the Lechona and my partner tried the Beef Patacon. It was a new experience for us to try the different flavours and spices. The Lechona was a mixed of sweet and savoury. The Beef on the Patacon was the right amount of juiciness. We accompanied our meal with a red sangria too, which always is a good choice. Wish I took more photos though!
A. V.
What I ordered: The picada Colombia, the portion size wasn't massive. It was decently tasty but the dish was basic and plain. I also ordered the sugar cane lemonade which tasted very artificial and watery.
Convenience and Customer service: Not much parking around so you would have to walk a few minutes to get there. The restaurant had great vibes and enjoyable Spanish music playing that wasn't overbearing. The customer service was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and go above and beyond, it's next level!
Price: Expensive. For the portion size the picada Colombia was pricey. Be prepared to spend at least $60-$80 for two people.
Overall: Average tasting food that doesn't add up to the prices. Cannot fault the customer service and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant!
C. B.
Pretty good and reasonably priced. I had some pretty terrible Colombian food in South Melbourne so was reluctant to try here but was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend going here, the Patacon was great!
A. E.
First time having Colombian food, to me it was great. I had the vegetarian option with Sangaria to wash it down. It was delicious and filling. I would go back again to try other foods on the menu.
H. B.
Pretty good meals, staff are really friendly and are trying hard.
Plenty of chose from, ribs were soft but a little dry. The cassava chips were fantastic
Overall pretty happy, would return
O. K.
After spending some nice time over couple of drinks at Arbory Float, we decided to come here by fluke. In a mood to enjoy some live music and trying Colombian food we ended up here not before realising that this cute little small place was jam packed. Attendant almost convinced us to wait for 15 minutes but I suppose, we were very lucky that day to get the tabke in 2 minutes time.
First thing first, live music and band playing had our hearts. They were Fantastic.
We ordered the very famous Bandeja Paisa and Calentado Valluno
When the food arrived on our table, we were shocked to see the portions!! They are HUGE
Surprisingly, we had two, extremely different opinions about both the dishes.
Whereas I loved Bandeja Paisa, Ozzy loved Calentado Valluno more.
I loved the freshness of Avocado and sweetness of fried plantain which went perfectly well with the chorizo rice and plain fried arepa.
Whereas Ozzy loved the lentil rice with pulled chicken and chorizo..Which was also served with fried Arepa.
The only thing we did not like about our meal was Arepas. They were chewy and hard, and not sure if they are supposed to be like that.
Attendants are super helpful, very friendly and happy people. The owner himself was quite friendly and interacted with us for a brief while. He seemed very happy to hear that we loved the food and are planning to return to tey their Brunch menu.
Definitely going back.

Big highlight: The pumpkin soup. Seriously, stop what you're doing and have this perfect-for-winter meal. It's damn fine. Dessert selection was very tasty as well 👌
C. A. M.
Great atmosphere, the place is colourful and from the moment you come in, you feel like if you were in Colombia. There was live music and the attention was great. Food wise, there is a good variety of options, we went for the picada and the sobrebarriga, both were delicious. Though still good, the black pudding could be better. We also got sweet plantain for dessert, this one was my favourite, just like my grandmother's one, I love it 💚.
N. C. P. Q.
Delicious taste and nice atmosphere. Waiters really know about the dishes and provide good service... A great place to enjoy a Colombian experience in the heart of Melbourne
A. D.
I'm so happy I got to visit Colombia last night!
I hadn't had Colombian cuisine before so this was all new for me but I loved it. It really felt true to what they eat in Colombia and wasn't westernised which I appreciated.
The restaurant has such a great vibe, it's so colourful and has Colombian themed decor and music so it makes you feel like you are there. The staff members are so hospitable and passionate about the culture which makes for a lovely experience.
The highlight for me was the chicken patacon. It was so tasty, fresh and a huge portion size. The beef empanadas were super flavourful too and I loved the Ping Sangria cocktail. All of our dishes came out quickly despite it being a busy Saturday night too.
Thanks again and see you next time!
G. D.
Excellent staff, colourful restaurant and amazing fresh food. One of the best chorizos!
M. P.
First time trying Colombian dishes. Food is great, full of flavour and delicious. We tried arepa de chocolo, patacon and empanadas: both chicken and cheese. We loved all of them. Staffs are very friendly and service is excellent. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
a. n.
Great hospitality and service. They really took care of us! The food was flavorful. A beautiful taste of Columbia!
L. F.
I feel at home when I visit this excellent Colombian restaurant. Delicious food and friendly staff.
J. C.
Wow we went down on Friday night as a group of 6 and were not disappointed at all, not only is the vibe great but the waitresses are ever so helpful and their recommendations were excellent because the food was soooo sooo yummy !! Loved the fact they had the option for us to order as individuals via their QR Code using Mr Yum, and will definitely be going back :)
S. r. f.
Very tasty food, we tried the lechona, green plantain with beef and Coco loco cocktail. Gluten free options available.
L. F. M. A.
The best food ever.
Excellent and fast customer service !
Recommended 100%
A.
Very rich and heavy food, perfect of you're super hungry. A little on the expensive side, otherwise great
A. R.
They have really good coffee beans. However, I think they need to use restaurant grade milk :)
P. 1.
Great food and excellent customer service. I keep coming back and bringing friends and family with me. Will be back soon for another bandeja paisa. Muy buena atmosfera y very friendly staff. Feels like been in a Colombian canteen without buying a ticket. Well done!!!

Nice and delicious Colombian food in the heart of Melbourne!!!
S. T.
Nice Colombian food in Melbourne, cosy place, great staff....
J.
The experience was really good. The restaurant is managed by real Colombian people, very happy and positive.
The location is awesome, in the centre of Melbourne CBD.
The food was really good, tasty and traditional from Colombia. I would return to this place. So if you want to live a really good Colombian experience, go to Club Colombia Restaurant.
A funny thing if you are going with some friends is that they also borrow you hats, and if you want you can wear it during you meal.
E. B.
Really nice entrees, basic but tasty. Empanadas are good. Disappointed with main dishes, didn’t enjoy the taste of them, had big expectations of patacon but was really hard to cut and to eat, didn’t like the seasoning of the minced beef on top at all. Didn’t like the presentation of dishes either.
They have a nice Chocolate and cheese, tough It’s a really pricey place.
Nice atmosphere and customer service.
N.
Amazing! Food was delicious, coffee was delicious! Great service!
L. V.
Top 🔝 top 🔝 I’m so happy was really amazing my boyfriend(Australian) don’t like to much try different food and always said I don’t like to much your food but we came to clubcolombia and he love Colombian food now!! And for me the Empanadas the best omg!!! Everything is amazing 🤩
S. P.
We visited Club Colombia for the first time today. Awesome colorful ambience caught our eyes! We ordered Colombian hot chocolate. It was tasty! The staff was happy and cheerful! Would definitely be coming back to try Colombian food. :)
C. P.
We visited here this past weekend for dinner, my partner recommended it as she had been in for coffee the last time she was in Melbourne. The food here is absolutely fantastic, we ordered a bandeja paisa each and this was honestly divine. The pork belly was cooked perfectly accompanied with the beans I couldn’t speak for the entirety of the meal because I was too busy devouring it. Fun setting, they give you hats and the decor from the Bottero’s to the Columbian hall of fame on the opposite wall was a really nice touch. The only thing I would say is that, the lighting doesn’t compliment the decor enough. Thanks for having us, staff were super friendly too.
J. F.
I loved this place! I am a Colombian living in Melbourne since 2002 and it’s just such a joy for me to find great little gems like these that make me feel like I’m at home, even if it’s for a little while. The customer service was great, the food was great, the music, the feel of the place: so good:-) I would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for my little one who was tired. I will come back again on the weekend for one of their live music sessions! Can’t wait :-)
D. T.
Beautiful authentic tasting Colombian food with a great menu. Although a little on the expensive side, have never had a bad meal or bad service! If the prices were a little more reasonable we would visit more often.
J. S.
Portion of my meal was just massive. Could not finish it. The staff were all really friendly and seemed to take pride in there work. Which is nice to see.
Decor was colourful clean and pleasant. The flavour was nic, however dint blow my socks off. It's probably just my pallet as I'm not use to the cuisine.
T. g.
Accommodating and pretty tasty. They were fairly busy when we arrived for lunch but they made some room for us. If we had longer would have tried something more traditional but we just grab burgers. Service was pretty fast and would return for more.
M. L. L.
Omg! We loved it! Me and my friend, both from Argentina, were eager to try this food, new for us!! And we chose this lovely, colorful place. With a very nice vibe, the best Colombian music, excellent food and the service is amazing. Thank you guys for offering to Melbourne a little piece of your lovely country, culture and cuisine! It’s definitely a MUST!
A. A.
Food was amazing!! So yummy and good size, customer service very friendly. I loved the environment. Desserts was so good. Definitely coming back!

Delicious and very convenient Colombian food
S. M.
I would like to start saying that I am Colombian and this is the first time that I feel eating like if I were at home. The aura is amazing, nice environment, colourful and magic... like Colombia, the food was good, big mains nice entree’s, delicious juices, the staff was friendly and gave us good suggestions, the price is a bit high but is ok for the special moment. I highly recommend Club Colombian Restaurant to all of my friends and people who wants to know more about traditional food from that little piece of earth called Colombia.
c. a.
I think this could be one of the best Colombian restaurants in the city, the taste of the food is amazing, well presented, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant look fantastic. Despite being little the vibe makes it cozy.
Another good thing is that they sell lunch boxes with makes it more convenient.
M. B.
So-so. Service prompt and friendly enough (male waiter definitely more so than the female), but the food itself was a bit lacklustre, lacking the freshness of other Colombian dishes I've had in Melbourne - and coming complete with a long black hair underneath the pork ribs (didn't complain as I don't like to waste food, but if you're preparing food wear a hair net or cap!!). Prices-wise, only with an EatClub discount does the menu represent decent value, but I'll give kudos for the atmosphere that comes from the colourful decor, nicely decorated with photographs & artworks, + the Colombian-esque background music. Overall: not a bad place if you want to try Colombian food or have Colombia-nostalgia, but my Colombian friend agreed it was nothing special.
J. S.
It's a really nice place to live the Colombian culture, the have everything related to Colombia, have huge Menu with entries, mains, and desserts! The service is also great and the music and space make a good performance around the culture!
S.
Set up a boys night out starting at Club Columbia and ended up staying till the end with amazing food and lots of shots in great atmosphere 😃👌👌👌
Certainly recommend it, as it is so different to everywhere else you go 🤩🤩🤩
J. C.
Came in for breakfast and ordered the traditional Colombian Breakfast, delicious and very generous serving. Hot Chocolate with cheese (did not get used to), Rice-Morcilla which I've only ever seen overseas, rice with beans and sausage, cheese Arepa and two eggs...soooo much food I didn't want to go back to work.
Comfortable Café, colourful and with Colombian details, minus the sometimes tacky decorations, tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and professional.
I found the menu to be too wordy and also I found it too complicated when ordering my meal. I would have been happy with ordering my Traditional Meal without all the options. Good experience overall, would recommend.
A. R. S.
Food really expensive and it is not related with its size, portion and advertising. Singers have a loud voice and we couldn't speak into our dinner properly. Good flavour, and great atmosphere anyway.
D. T.
Awesome little place. Live music is always great quality, and the food is the most authentic Colombian food you will eat in Melbourne. Would happily spend time here again!
c. h.
Little bit pricey,, but the food is great and the service is awesome love the morcilla and aji
A. M.
Absolutely in love with this place!!I'm a Colombian living in Adelaide, but loved going there when in Melbourne. Traditional food, drinks and music. The owner Diego has done an amazing job keeping it traditional and authentic.

J. S.
As soon as you enter Club Columbia you'll be amazed by the colours and décor!!
Owner Diego and the friendly staff are all from Columbia, and will make you feel at home right away!
They have plenty of vegan options, I was pleasantly surprised :)
We tried:
PATACÓN CON HOGADO - FRIED PLANTAIN - I would DEF recommend you try this delish dish! COLOMBIAN PUMPKIN SOUP - perfect for the cold weather!
COLOMBIAN FRIED POTATOES - cute mini potatoes which were so yummy!
VEGAN COLUMBIAN LENTIL RICE - super filling and tasty dish
RIPE PLANTAIN WITH GUAVA PASTE - definitely an interesting dessert - loved the texture!
For drinks, we tried the REFAJO JUG/ JARRA DE REFAJO which is a blend of beer and soft drink - YUM! Would definitely drink that again even though I'm not a beer fan.
You really must try Club Columbia! Such a unique, fun and warm dining experience. Great for a date or a group of mates!

(Translated) The patties and the chicken breast were delicious. I asked for a Pais tray. The beans didn't really look nice, the rare color was gray, the ground meat didn't taste good, the blood sausage didn't taste like blood sausage. It's called club Colombia but they didn't have this beer.
The attention of the girls very friendly.

(Translated) We ate only a cheese arepa and a panela with lemon. They treated us very well and were all Colombians. The arepa is very similar to Colombia, then there are some bowls that are Colombian-Colombian because they have some Colombian ingredient but they are not eaten in Colombia.
If you are Colombian in Melbourne you have to go to this place to kill homesick a bit.
