Comments of Cutler & Co.

Food and service was great, we were so happy until we found out extra $240 for the entree. The waiter asked us which menu we’d like for entree between oyster and caviar (it was very vague question), it made us thought it would included in the course meal. It would have been a better experience without the surprise.

The food, service, setting and ambience was nothing but flawless. I took my two very best friends here as a surprise present and it was absolutely perfect. They were blown away and so was I. Thank you so much for making it a night to remember.

My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision! From the moment we entered the restaurant we knew we would be in for a treat. The attention to detail at this restaurant is so on point.
We love decor, the lighting, the candles on the table evokes romance.
We had the vegetarian/seafood degustation every course was a culinary delight bursting with fresh innovative flavours that makes you look forward to the next. The food was sublime, well presented and beautifully prepared.
The staff were really attentive and kind.
Definitely a memorable experience.Visit is a must.

I will copy here the review I have written to myself. Such an impressive work in terms of flavour complexity, and even more in terms of wine pairing!
Memorable evening for celebration of my PhD!
I think I can add food critic to my mid-life crisis jobs. This evening was sensorially divine, made me forget about all the stress of my current career situation and also made me feel for the first time like I could decently celebrate the hard work of my thesis completion.
We started at home with a half bottle of grand cru brought back from my last trip to Belgium ❤️ I kept going with some more grand cru over there, with a wagyu croustillant as amuse gueule and charred bread with Anchovy and smoked straciatella, as they now have a winter "from the grill" menu which we will have to taste next time we come back!
We went for the chef's selection menu, which started with Shark Bay scallop, lion’s mane & wood ear mushroom and golden chicken broth served with some predominantly pinot noir champagne, bringing plenty of freshness to the umami and fatty notes of this dish.
The next meal was my partner's "best salad he had in his life" kale, Cauliflower, romanesco and kohlrabi salad, with pine mushrooms, cumin vinaigrette with some delightful red wine vinegar. This was served with an oxidative wine from northern Tasmania, perfectly matching the sulfur of the cruciferus with the sulfury nose of the wine. The oxidative compounds and its almost savouriness were the perfect match to the sweetness, freshness and umami notes of the vinaigrette 😍 most impressive wine pairing with a challenging wine that I have seen in a very long time, which was enhancing the flavours of both the dish and the wine at the same time.
The Murray cod was served with pickled Cucumber, Fennel and buttermilk and Parsley with a forgotten grape variety wine from south West France. I forgot the name of it but it had an elegant length without too much acidity, plenty of lactic notes which where nicely matching the buttermilk sauce and cleaned up the palate so nicely from the freshness of the Cucumber, Parsley and crispy skin cod.
I forgot to take a picture from the lamb, which was beyond perfect in terms of flavour and texture. Served with a delicious Marsala sauce, smoked walnut and nicely matched by a colder Australian climate young tempranillo.
I of course couldn't resist to some cheese before the dessert and while the guy asked me for wine pairing and I struggled to find the good match to a platter of époisse, 24 months summer comté and Gippsland blue, he suggested me another surprise that would again be one of the highlights of the night in terms of wine and food pairing. It wasn't a wine, it was a pear juice cut with pear eau de vie aged in oak from Normandie. If someone can tell me what it is I would be grateful! The sweetness of the fruit with the structure of the alcohol and the fine wood notes made it an amazing match to the fat, stinky or even savoury notes from all the cheeses! I congratulated the team behind the wine pairing many times for their impressive work.
We finished with a vacherin with quince (coing confit), honeybush and rosemary ice cream, perfectly complemented with a late harvest chenin blanc. Its delicate sweetness, the hint of lactic notes, subtle acidity and oxidative compound were a perfect final match to the sweetness of the honey and savouriness of the rosemary in this ice cream, and the jam like flavours of the quince.
My God I think it's time for me to start a new PhD to come back!!! Back now down on earth with all its stress, worries and simplicity of life, but it was so worth escaping to the flavour and taste paradise for an evening ❤️

A near perfect dinner. Cutler and Co is one of those restaurants that nails fine dining without the pretentiousness. And they give free bread re-fills!
T. C.
We did the four course menu and wine pairing and left very satisfied. Both the food and staff were fantastic. When we mistook the palate cleanser for the dessert and finished our wine, they were kind enough to refill our wines to enjoy with the actual dessert. Look forward to getting back for another meal.

Exquisite service at Cutler & Co. Food was of an exceptional standard. Beautiful warm bread with miso butter to start. I loved the heirloom tomatoes. We chose the Steak add on which is a bit expensive when you’re already paying $130 for the meal but it was quite good. The cod was delicate with the perfect sauce. Dessert was flawless way to finish the meal!

Had my birthday here last night. Everything is so nice. Friendly staffs, tasty food, cosy environment… even my picky partner says he’s happy with everything.
J. L.
We ordered vegetarian menu.
Service was above average, the only issue is in the beginning, I am not sure if it's short staff or what, we had like 15 mins dead time in the beginning.
Foods are good except for black rice risotto which is VERY salty. Ingredient are quite repetitive in most of the dishes.
Ambience is good. We love the candle on the table and the atmosphere of the place. Overall dining experience is good but I do expect better when it comes to $130 pp meal.

Thanking all the staff at Cutler and Co. for their incredible service. We had dinner there last Friday- we received the best service and had a wonderful experience; the food was fantastic, the drinks were a level up while the staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgable. We've been to many upmarket restaurants in Melbourne (some are totally over-rated!); Cutler and Co. definitely takes the cake for their ambience, service, food and drinks. You deserve a hundred stars. We shall be back. Thanks again :)
C. M.
Absolutely amazing experience.
We loved the slower pace, letting us enjoy our drinks and conversation. The food was delicious, seasonal, and unique. The staff members were all so polite and helpful.
The ambience and decor was homely and classy at the same time, making for a wonderful evening.

Throughout lockdown, we had the provider boxes from here twice, and they were exceptionally good! So I came into the dine-in experience with really high expectations. Everything was definitely lovely; however, I don’t think it was $200pp nice. The atmosphere felt classy, although it was pretty loud and hard to hear over the table. The menu rotates, and when we booked, it was more my speed than when we attended (I under it's a risk you always run with a rotating menu). And the service was nice, however not exceptional.
G.
Tucked away just outside the cbd, Cutler & Co is unassuming from the outside. Walking in you’re greeted by flaming culinary action from the lively kitchen. This is a highly regarded upmarket restaurant but it’s anything but stuffy. The restaurant has a lovely lively buzz.
Love the elegant decor and ambiance created by the moody lighting.
Service is charming and flawless from start to finish.
Wonderful food menu - there’s a set 2 or 3 course menu, and the tasting menu.
All the dishes were superb- beautifully balanced and picture perfect presentation.
The wine list is like an encyclopaedia- so much choice.
Amazing night out - highly recommended!

Went for dinner in a party of 4. We were seated in the dining room. We enjoyed the dishes and they were nicely presented. As we were about to reach our 135 minute time limit and our table was booked for another group, they kindly set up a table for us in the bar area so we wouldn't have to rush our desserts. The service was good and the restaurant had good atmosphere. One negative was that they added on a tip to the bill without the courtesy of asking us. We didn't realise until we had left the restaurant.
W. Q.
We had an amazing night there, everything was perfect, other than the fact that they asked me 3 times if I'd order some ice cream for my 3yo when I already said no. Every dish was perfect cooked and presented. The highlight for me was the autumn salad. The price is fine for the quality. We'd rather pay 150pp for something that surprise our palate than 100pp for something ordinary.

the bread was pretty yum
And they have gold leaf

Inconsistently Genius
We visited Cutler & Co for my wife's birthday - we had ordered the Chef's 5 course selection menu.
Pros:
The bread and chickpea butter was really good
The salad was the best dish on the menu for us - very very refreshing and delicious.
The palate cleanser (Goat's cheese sorbet with rhubarb) was amazing and could be a dish on the menu.
The service staff were very inviting and friendly and the ambience was great.
Cons:
Inconsistent cooking. This was particularly true regarding the fish and the duck - unfortunately, my wife drew the short end of the stick as she got an overcooked and dry fish dish and an undercooked duck.
Surprisingly, there was little acknowledgement, by way of an additional dish or cake, of a special occasion - when we have visited similar fine dining restaurants in Melbourne on special occasions we have always been treated with a special something from the chef. The only acknowledgement of my wife's birthday was a candle on the final course of the menu. For an upscale establishment that has been lauded for its special touches, we expected a little bit more.
We understand that restaurants are getting back on their feet after a difficult period of stops and starts/changes due to the pandemic so perhaps the small issues we experienced were attributed to this. Overall, decent food and fantastic service but expected more for a $150 menu, especially when compared to previous fine dining experiences.
Update: After I posted this review, Cutler and Co called me to apologise and discuss the feedback. They also offered me a refund for the dishes we weren’t happy about. Class.

One of the best restaurants I've visited in Melbourne! My husband and I went for dinner there and were blown away by the service, food and interior design. Our waiter Timothee was a fine gentlemen and we loved meeting him and the team at this restaurant!
W. W.
Came here on a Thursday night with family and ordered the 3 course meal $95pp.
While the service was great (though they did charge us Sunday surcharge by accident which I think was a let down as some people might not look at the bill properly), not all the food were up to standard.
Particularly the bass was a bit too salty in my opinion, the chocolate delice was good but not innovative. The quince was interesting but the taste was average.
The fact the added candles on the chocolate delice for birthdays free of charge was a nice touch. Overall was a good meal & everyone left happy.

The modern and inviting ambiance at Cutler & Co quickly assured us of great things to come.
Service was first class from the moment we entered the door and our exceptional waitress was kind, helpful and attentive throughout the night.
The menu was prepared with a masters touch, from the striking plating to the various well balanced flavours in each and every dish we tasted.
Our oysters were freshly served, the seafood was delicately prepared and the meat was treated with the utmost respect.
Cutler & Co thoughtfully represents well executed fine-dining at its best.
Comfortable, flavourful and memorable.
Thank you for an unforgettable night out!

A very pleasant Sunday lunch with great friends. Amazing special menu - very generous serves. Staff attendance and banter very entertaining - added to our whole experience. Looking forward to dining here again. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cutler and Co. is a fine dining restaurant that delivers great food in a lovely setting.
We ate in the bar area, which was a little less formal than the adjoining dining room, but gave a great view of the open kitchen.
Service was, as you’d expect, very professional, and they had no problems adapting the menu for a gluten-free meal.
Apart from Saturday, when you are locked into the $150 a head degustation, all other nights you can choose from the degustation or the $75 2 course and $95 3 course menus. The 3 courses is great value for the quality of the food on offer.
Location is classic Melbourne – Gertrude Street Fitzroy surrounded by cafes, art shops, a grocers and with a tram stop almost out front of the restaurant.
Highly recommended.

A classy, delicious, and remarkably well-priced stalwart of Melbourne fine dining. Always a pleasure to visit Cutler and Co, my favourite is to be seated in the leather booths in the middle of the restaurant and enjoy some excellent cocktails with dinner. Very happy to be back after the most recent lockdown. 5 stars.
G. 2.
Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable on all the food on offer for the degustation experience. Even though it is a set menu experience, there is room for change. Our menu was primarily seafood with oysters, mussles, and crab, with cod or duck for main.
The whole dining experience was great.
Reservation is a must. Menu starts at $130 per person plus add ons ( wine, drinks, side dishes etc).
If you want a dining experience to remember, book and treat your partner to a great night out.

One of the only andrew McConnell restaurants I haven’t been to and it was awesome. We dined on the Sunday lunch menu and they were very accommodating with swapping the wine pairing from our voucher to credit as we didn’t feel up to the wine tasting. We were served by Paris and Carlin. Carlin has great recommendations for drinks as well as knowledge on cheese. Overall it was a great experience and lovely atmosphere will definitely be recommending it to our friends.

We keep coming back year after year and never once have we been disappointed. Such well thought out, interesting, balanced and tasty dishes. For us, Cutler & Co wins the title for consistently delivering awesome food and fantastic service.
K. L.
We actually picked this place because we wanted to go to The Elysian Whisky Bar, which is around the corner.
When you walk on, you could smell the food, because the kitchen is in the front. The seating is actually in the back.
It’s a great place for a date. The setting at night is dim and ambience is lively. The service was excellent and so was the food.
Great fine dining experience in Melbourne!

Top class food here. Food look deceptively simple, but had depth of flavor once I bite it. Everything tasted like it was done on perfection. Love the King George Whiting the most. The Muscovy Duck also very pleasurable to eat. Smashing. Lovely and comforting ambience.

This place holds a special place in my heart. The seasonal ingredients on the benches, greet you as warmly as the staff. Clever cooking done well celebrating our best produce. The ever changing Chef’s Menu is a cut above the rest.
B. M.
The dining experience was great, the food was delicious. I loved the glassed prawn and the duck.
The staff was very attentive, they folded your napkin every time you left the table. In comparison, the restroom cleanliness wasn’t up to standard.

Opened for 10 years, a year after Cumulus Inc now. A mission to offer top end dining, yet you feel relaxed without feeling out of place if you’ve dressed up or down. As you approach Gertrude St of Fitzroy, you see casual dining table and chairs outside, that day was filled with many people unwinding for a drink after work. High ceilings and large windows made us feel very welcomed, and right at the door was someone ready to help me with my reservation.
Complimentary dish as a appetiser, lightly fried tomato based crackers with delicious salsa.
Bread also came as complimentary, they came out warm, and as we tore the bread apart in quarters, we saw the steam come out. The bread was delicious with the umami butter, the other salted butter was a little too salty for me. I enjoyed the umami butter, it had a sweet aftertaste. Cutler & Co was so generous with bread and butter, when they offered us seconds they gave us new quenelle butter.
We ordered the Yellowfin tuna crudo, Tasmanian wasabi, finger lime & celery, $34, it was very fresh with very little flavouring. The dish looks small below, but that’s because they plated in two for our convenience. Love it when restaurants do this for us. Not only is it prettier than us grabbing off each other’s plates, but it’s not as messy. J could taste the wasabi flavour from his dish, but I couldn’t. I could taste the celery more in the dish. J preferred this entree, whereas I enjoyed the Asparagus and Pistachio Entree.
Jonella farm asparagus, pistachio, egg yolk, black garlic & rye $32
A vegetarian dish, but I enjoyed the black garlic addition bringing a stronger tastes than just veggies. The finely sliced asparagus were crunchy, never had asparagus like this before. Crispy pistachio in fine bits and pistachio puree were really good to dip the asparagus with. The egg yolk was thick and I just mixed it with the puree.
For mains we ordered the O’Conner Rib Eye of 1.1 kg, with house made mustard, shaved cabbage and fennel salad, $180. We were advised upon ordering that it would take 1 hour to prepare and checked if that was OK with us. We thought we were fine, we were very hungry at 6.30pm and could take our time… but I think we had a lot of bread and two entrees got us half full…
My first bite of the rib eye was quite chewy. But after my next piece it was fine. I think it depends on which part I pick. Lightly grilled on the outer and blue to medium rare inside. It’s not very common we eat blue. We weren’t asked how we want our meat cooked, so if you can’t take blue meat, i’d suggest to speak with the waiter first.
My favourite sauce to dip was the yellow mustard. Sour enough to keep me going with the enormous amount of meat we ordered. Shaved cabbage and fennel salad were great, I couldn’t have any more of the meat, but I could continue bit by bit with the salad. Finely shaved and easy to eat.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to dessert. There were two other desserts we wanted to try but just didn’t have any more room for it. The waiter mentioned we can have dessert next time at the front of restaurant if we don’t want to have the full dining experience.
Service was brilliant, ambience was very warming, both of us had a great time. I’m still longing for the desserts I couldn’t get to try. So I’ll definitely revisit just to be completely content.
A. S.
God ambience and vibes. Service staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.
The food is a mixture of great and unimpressive through. We ordered the chicken dish for the main course (although I am still confused as to what we were supposed to get as part of this fixed menu) which was extremely salty. There were also a couple of other things mentioned on the menu which we never received and were in fact told by the waiter that there are no more dishes coming in.
They really should look into how they can clarify what is included in the menu and perhaps educate the customers a bit on how to navigate their menu. Oh and the chicken dish is really bad but the entree was quite good so.........
M. T.
Was fortunate enough to dine here last week and everything was impeccable from the food to the service, it was all first class. Each course was well presented, we had the King George whiting, winter salad, duck and suckling pig with matched wines, all were well balanced and cooked to perfection, even the bread was amazing. The dining room had a nice cosy and intimate feel and the wet winter night we went added to the ambience. Service was very attentive and warm, would definitely be back.
J. P.
I really enjoyed our experience at Cutler and Co. Great ambience and our server and sommelier were down to earth friendly people. With the exception of the starters, I thought the food was creative and well thought out. Would definitely recommend opting in for the chefs selection menu and the non alcoholic pairings. Something that I always look forward to with a degustation is the bread and butter that is served. Cutler and Co did not disappoint with freshly baked bread with a crispy shell and fluffy interior served with two kinds of butter. Delicious!
M. H.
We dined at cutler and Co. again recently after a long break because of the pandemic and the food and service were exceptional again. The chefs selection menu was wonderful: the murray cod and the duck were cooked perfectly and served with wonderful accompaniments, the tuna was the most tender i've ever eaten and the baker bleu bread with the shickpea and miso flavoured butter was wonderful. The palate cleaners at the start and before the dessert were great little unexpected treats and the service was prompt, professional and friendly.
E. M.
On a quiet stretch of Gertrude Street, Cutler & Co is quite unassuming from the front. The dining area in the back was booked out, however, so we were seated in the trendy bar area around the open kitchen. Had a great selection on the bar menu. We shared the seafood platter, which was lovely and fresh, as well as an assortment of other well-prepared side dishes. Capped off the night with a delicious apple confit. Great service. Great experience. Not cheap but worth a visit.
J. S.
Usually cannot complain about the food or service here. Have been 3 times but this is the first time since the reno. Everything is usually always on point. The duck on the tasting menu did have stringy and chewy bits this time and did seem a tad under cooked... Service was impeccable as usual and everything else was brilliant (pork belly outstanding!). All in all still a great experience.
A. H.
This is a busy, iconic example of fine dining in Melbourne - Charming and gracious staff with beautifully prepared, innovative food. Extensive and considered drinks list.
E. S.
We were left underwhelmed by the whole experience. The food was good, not great, we had some great wine and the space is amazing but babe's first mouthful of fish was filled with bones. As she pulled a myriad of tiny bones out of her mouth our waitress looked down upon us like we had no manners. Another staff member came by shortly and removed the dish, it was replaced but Babe watched us eat, then ate alone while we felt like a school teacher , the waiter , was standing over us. I packed light on this trip so maybe my attire was not to standard for the waitress and perhaps she thought we were going to steal the cutlery and that's why we were held under a constant negative gaze. When we asked questions about the menu we were answered with disdain, as if our lowly selves were not educated enough to be in he room. We paid $150+ a head, it should have been exceptional. As for the fish bones, any joint with real class would have comped the meal and we would have forgotten about it.
M. D.
Really nice food, very friendly staff. Would have loved it if the portions were a bit bigger :)

“One of Melbourne's great restaurant”
I'm jealous at the people of Melbourne having a great restaurant like this available, only way around my jealousy is every time I come to Melbourne I will and have dined here. The service is excellent, the ambience is funky and the food is sensational. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I especially enjoyed the spanner crab, fresh polenta & golden chicken broth.

The experince of being at Cutler & Co is one of those that should be counted towards the ultimate date night or with someone you want to share something special with. We started our night with pallete cleansing mini bruchetta type cracker with tomato and herb mix bites. Then followed our bread accompanied by butter that can only be described as handmade love in the flavours of hinted with cheese and the other piece with salt (little scoops shaped like ice cream) . When our mains arrived it looked very basic and pretty.
HOWEVER; Once you tap into a bite a world of flavour opens up . The chefs REALLY know every single flavour profile they own and use it with precision. The head waitress who seated us was amazing, ever so observant and kind checked up on us just enough for it to be caring and leave us enough for it to be private. Our waitresses Amy's wine recommendations ( Valiente - 2014 heathcote shiraz ) was so on point with our meal i don't think i could have picked better options or people to serve us .
The deserts we had are a must try within their own league. The passion fruit vanilla bean ice cream that sat om ice in the passionfruit cups might look pretentious however is ANYTHING but. The first bites make the vanilla presence known in symphony with the sorbet. And you keep digging away in disbelief of how yummy ice cream could really be. I do wish the portion was bigger though 😋. The second dessert with alpine strawberries is something else. I have never had strawberries melt in my mouth before without effort & being cooked. That is accompanied by the strawberry glaze and sorbet which all sits on a cake. Lastly the crown jewel of Cutler & co is the chocolate cake. This cake is so rich , so engaging , it swirls around your mouth with the slightly bitter choc bits and ever so sweet mousse. The chocolate is pure and refined to exclude anything else taking over. This is what i would call a masterpiece.
And because it wasn't enough , we were given complimentary alpine strawberries with chocolate glaze filled with the nicest juicy centre dome type confectionery. Right from the moment we walked in the door and one of the chefs said hello to the last moment where Amy bid us a good night, we were looked after. Actually looked after. We've decided to make this place part of our monthly dining choice because the experince is unlike anything.
B. E.
Randomly chose this for last Aus meal as I’ve always been a fan of the owner (who has some other great restaurants) had no idea this was the most fine dining one but what a magnificent meal (and on a Sunday with their set menu for $85 great value as well (we added some delicious Oysters at $5 each)
Service and food was impeccable and the butter was out of this world! Octopus and lamb real stand out dishes for me
P. P.
Beautiful food and great service. I came here for the Sunday lunch and left absolutely stuffed! Will definitely be back to try the full set menu
D. V.
Great restaurant with outstanding service. We went for supper and appreciated it greatly. I think the good value place for good dining. An astonishing experience we have there.
L. M.
Phil was an exceptional host and we thoroughly enjoyed the Lazy (for Us) Sunday lunch with delicious food, we will return !!
J. D.
Very nice place to eat. We had the 3 course option with the steak cooked medium rare. The stake was good but not great. Still very nice ambience, good food and staff don't miss a beat. Highly recommended.
T. K.
Outstanding food, wine and service. Really attentive and lovely staff. Beautiful venue. Couldn’t ask for much more - one of the best in Melbourne.
R. B.
Amazing food and service, the ambiance is also wonderful. Have been twice and it was great for both a date night and a girls lunch. Will be back again!
E. M.
Reviewing just the bar area. Excellent bar food and service. We had the donuts, taco, and cheeseburger. All 3 were incredible in their own right. Donuts were a unique spin and the roe added the perfect splash of flavor. The taco is small but excellent and be sure to do the spritz of lemon on top. Finally, the cheeseburger is indeed worth the buzz. Perfect mesh of flavors and seasoning. It is easily worth the $25 price. You owe it to yourself to try it.
C. L.
Delicious food with friendly service. Had an great evening. The duck pie was amazing!
S.
Went to the front bar for afternoon snacks and drinks. Abalone katsu sando is out of this world. Donuts with caviar also great. By the glass wine list could be better.
b. a.
Very good experience all round. The seafood was excellent and the staff were exactly the right level of attentiveness

After dining in the restaurant a few times over the years, I’ve decided to write a review.
The decor is really fantastic and special. There is spectacular natural lighting during the day, unexpected light fittings and beautiful, considered design throughout. It feels like a special place from the moment you come through the door.
They staff are lovely, friendly and unassuming. It is not the fine dining stuffy service you may get elsewhere and I really like the tone this sets for dining in Melbourne.
The food was great. I had oysters, the Quail for starter, shared the O’Conner Rib Eye for main and had the Chocolate Délice for dessert (3 course menu). While this was all tasty and sufficient - you couldn’t want for more meat in the Ribeye - I feel it may lack the surprise or refinement I’ve had at other top restaurants in Melbourne and elsewhere. For a restaurant which is considered one of the best in Melbourne, and with prices to match, I would expect a bit more polish, but perhaps this is not what Cutler and Co is about…
Wine Menu is excellent!
Fantastic environment and service and I strongly recommend going here, but for my experience you may expect more from the dishes. Note I did not have the Chef’s Menu though!
B. J.
Lovely dining experience. Wonderful ambience, helpful staff, and on top of all honest, delicious food.
M. C.
Great atmosphere and appetizing menu, good meat dishes but execution and taste of some others bit mediocre...
P. S.
A strikingly romantic restaurant serving splendidly plated fine dining courses, and wonderful wines for the Modern Australian.
J. K.
High-end in every way and worth it. The candlestick on the table is a nice touch of romance and elegance.
L. Z. (.
Great service, excellent food and a very modern ambiance make you feel right at home. Love the place and will definitely revisit again!
T.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Will definitely eat here again.
P. L.
Beautiful ambience, very friendly and super caring staff, amazing cocktails and super yummy food. We ordered a vegetarian selection set menu along with their usual one and both menus were carefully chosen, sequenced and super delishhhh. Perfect to celebrate a special occasion, you can't go wrong... thank you Cutler and Co ❤.
L. R.
The place is stunning, staff is lovely. Took forever to get our food, but it was good. Dishes are quite small. Cocktail list is uninspiring. But that bread and butter we got served before our meals is to die for !
A. I.
Ambience and service was excellent. Food was excellent and the black truffle was to die for.. Highly recommend..
J. B.
5 star experience. Every dish was perfection!
M. L.
The service was good. The food was just ok, not what it used to be like.
V. G.
Food is exceptional! So creative - really outstanding ! So much care and attention to detail. Beautifully presented too !
However For $700 for 2 people , I expect the service to match. Unfortunately Service is robotic, waiters read the food and wines off the script and aren’t that interested . And show no interest in their customers. So maybe for now , best to order such exceptional food from providore ? Why pay all that $$$$ for robotic waiters???
S. W.
Well... having not been to this restaurant for 13 years or so... definitely won't be that long between visits next time. For a fine dining restaurant, 0% pretension! Chilled out waiting staff, which made for a really pleasurable experience. The quail for entree was delicious. Tender and juicy; accompanied with the other elements on the plate was scrumptious. For the main, the lamb was unbelievable... cooked to perfection and added with the kipfler potatoes made for an awesome take on the Sunday roast. Well done to Cutler and Co. Very enjoyable experience!
L. K.
I Have eaten at Cutler & Co many times in the last 10 or so years. Providor delivery in 2019 got us through lockdown and we wanted to support as many restaurants as we could. Finally made it for our anniversary last night after 4 cancellations this year due to more lockdowns. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the food balanced against the $150 per head set meal. While the food was of good quality and nothing particularly wrong with it, it lacked flair and inspiration. Maybe it’s the fact that all of melbourne is hit with a dark cloud and uncertainty. The artichoke dish was superb and inspired. My duck fillet was chewy, tasted fine but not exciting. The wines were fantastic. The staff pleasant and helpful except for one waitress who placed our deserts down as if she couldn’t get rid of them quick enough. Not what I would expect here. I don’t eat chocolate so I didn’t get 2 seconds to say that to her. However the sommelier noticed and was quick to resolve this with generosity of another desert. I have no problem spending $500 as we did for an amazing meal with 3 drinks , however this was not value for money this time. I hope as time goes on that inspiration can return.

Amazing wine and food! Service was on point as well!! A must visit in Melbourne

Food Quality: Ordered the Chef's Selection (includes yellowfin tuna, artichoke salad, cod, duck breast, black rice with mushrooms and the chocolate delice; add ons of Sydney oysters, 3gms of truffle each; complimentary bread with chickpea and butter spreads, persimmon sobet and coffee macarons).
Each dish came out with such delicacy in presentation and was unique. Extensive alcohol list which is very exciting for anyone who drinks.
Service: Exceptional service and a solid 5/5. I have never been so impressed by such great service from start to finish. Very hard to find something to fault even if I tried. Notable observations were allowing us to come in 30 minutes before our actual reservation, remembering our occasion and dietary requirements, floor manager grabbing a stool for my handbag without any requests, each waiter and waitress demonstrated familiarity with each dish, being attentive to topping up our water, only clearing our dishes when both of us have finished eating, no extensive small talk, food came out very fast: 6-7 course within a 2.5 hour sitting, opening the door for us as we left. Honestly every small thing added up and just made the whole night without worries. There was no lack of floor staff working as well, meaning we never had to wait to flag for attention.
Pricing: Given the quality of the food and exceptional service, I am satisfied with the pricing.
Location: Street parking plentiful and without time restrictions after 18:00. Prior to 18:00, it's 1-2 hour parking limit.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: Not too dark, candles on the table and good beats in the background added significantly to the classy yet intimate atmosphere. I requested when I booked to be seated somewhere where my partner and I could enjoy each other's company and we were allocated a round table with a great view of the kitchen. Also, the chairs were really comfortable.
Conclusion: I would say this will be rated my number one place for special occasions. I literally could not fault anything. You guys really made our night special and enjoyable. Your service was exceptional and professional. Notable recommendations would be the tuna, cod, duck and delice. Thank you for a lovely night.

Pricey, but worth every penny. Soho vibes with a modern Australian menu, that was very well-thought-of, technique-driven, with clean flavors that let the actual produce be the star of the plate. Absolutely loved every bite!💯

Great service delicious food and wines five star all day
M. W.
Excellent if expensive dining experience. Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable.

Just finished a really great meal here. The food was delicious from start to finish. The wine was excellent. What really made the meal great though were our servers Antoine and Anthony. They went out of their way to advise us about food and drinks at the restaurant but even more spent time advising us on where to go here and in Tasmania. They made the meal truly spectacular and made us feel special. Can't recommend Cutler and Co. high enough.

Great restaurant. Polished service and delicious seasonal food and matched wines
V. L.
Amazing food, amazing drinks menu and the cheese cart is worth it alone...cosy, candlelit atmosphere...highly recommended.

My brother and I had a great evening. Amazing service and staff. Great wine selection. Highly recommend this restaurant. We all enjoyed the ambiance of the place. The food was amazing and presented really well. Well priced and good wine list. The service was amazing and recommendations for wine was excellent. Desserts are really amazing, forget the calories for one night.

Fantastic service and food. We got a voucher from some close friends to go to the Sunday lunch with wine pairing. Every course was fresh and flavorful. The one that stuck with me most was the rosbif which was perfectly cooked and had this indescribable eggplant puree.
The servers were super attentive and kept making sure we weren't needing anything. Have been here in the evenings before and it's definitely a lot more formal for dinner. However, the vibe for Sunday lunch was more relaxed and casual without sacrificing the upscale charm.
L. T.
Unique flavors, every dish we tried was amazing, down to the bread.. Best waitstaff I have come across.. he describes the dish with so much passion and conviction!
N. D.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. I was surprised how full I felt leaving the restaurant as I've never had a 5 course meal before with small portions. Definitely worth trying
J. N.
One of the best fine dining experiences we’ve had. Chef’s selection was great - we both enjoyed every single dish - and the wine pairing made it even better (particularly the premium pairing). To top it off, service was great throughout.
Time flew by without us noticing and before we knew it we had gladly spent more than 4 hours enjoying the amazing food & wine.
Strongly recommend if you’re in Melbourne!
R. H.
Really enjoyed the most recent outing. Had a great experience including the staff being attentive and helpful especially with options for kids. The food was bang on as usual. Wine list has great variety and again...the staff were excellent in assisting.
R. A.
Positive: The service is mostly excellent. We were welcomed and taken care of by Florence and Collin. Both were very good.
Some items of the chef's selection are really delicious. The first starter and the two-part chicken main course stand out. The wine selection and their wine expert are impressive.
Could improve: The restaurant look more beautiful in the photos than in reality. The setting of tables is cramped and distasteful. The dessert items fall short of other items. The whiskey selection could improve a lot, especially when compared to the wine menu.
B. C.
Absolutely gorgeous food with lovely wine pairing. Attentive and engaging service. Beautiful venue. A wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion. Will be back!

As you can see nothing left,
Loved it best flavor and creativity I’ve seen in Melbourne!
5 star for me!!
K. K.
Amazing food and service. We had the Sunday set menu and everything we ate was fantastic. The service was outstanding and in particular, one of the waitress, Florence (I believe was her name) was very welcoming and made you feel comfortable. We even took the t-bone home for the dog to enjoy. Highly recommend going and trying Cutler and Co.
W. U.
Very nice food along with exceptional service. Highly recommended.

I just had the take home three course dinner and some oysters, and honestly, it was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. For a special dinner, this was awesome! Easy to put together at home, and an incredibly memorable meal for me no my wife! Thank you so much!!

We visited for a Sunday lunch and it was such a great way to finish the weekend. Each dish was amazing with subtle and beautiful flavours. Incredible service too, Antoine was fantastic! Just as I put down my empty wine glass, a waiter was immediately ready to pour a new one. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
B. J.
The wine pairing with tasting menu is superb here

We treated our newly wedded friends to dinner here. Memorable dining experience for the 5 of us! My fish dish was delicious- as were the other dishes our table ordered- the kipfler potatoes still mouth watering from memory 😄 child friendly at Cutler & Co- our 3 year old was warmly welcomed. Highly recommend.
K. A.
A bit of a disappointing visit. We were visiting from Sydney and I’d long wanted to eat at this well regarded restaurant. The food was certainly very good but my overall experience was far from great. There was a constant stream of people passing through the restaurant from the adjoining room hosting a private (loud) function (I assume to go outside to smoke), along with a crying baby in the restaurant and being seated next to a table of 3 under 6 year old children happily playing. Our booking was at 8:45 and for a restaurant where you can easily spend in excess of $250 per person this was not the atmosphere I was expecting. No doubt others might not find this an issue but I would not return.
C. S.
Perfect for our 1st anniversary dinner - the staff were so knowledgeable about the wine list and helped pair wines or digestives to our liking. The food was superb, the service on point, the professionalism and coordination of the whole operation really was on show. Just ace.
T. P.
Have just enjoyed (complete understatement!) one of your At Home Menus. Roast and marinated globe artichoke to start, Game bird pie, salt baked beetroot and Collard Greens as a main, And Crème Caramel desert. Wow! Just fantastic! Superb flavours, perfectly seasoned... I really couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough. So impressed! Thanks for bringing a ray of culinary sunshine to another wise glum Melbourne lockdown!! Will definitely be trying another menu soon...
N. S.
Although less happening (this could also be because they have have fine tuned it to be not looking crazy busy) than I would like, food was amazing! As one would expect the staff was great and there was a few surprises. They lit some candles on our desert for my partners birthday! Overall impressed
S. K.
Beautiful food. Catered really well for us (whole family is vegetarian). Great service! Food was lovely but the best part was the palate cleansers and the hot sourdough bread and fresh chickpea butter (seriously the tastiest thing ever).

We had our small 14 person wedding in the private dining room at the back of Cutler, and it was the perfect venue. Esther oversaw planning of our event, and she was a delight to deal with and all over the details. Tracey was wonderful helping us out with aspects of the event too. Florence oversaw service on the night, and she was always at hand if we needed anything, and so lovely and attentive. All our guests commented on how great the service (and of course food) was. The space is so beautiful that we had our ceremony there too. The chefs selection menu was delicious and we had a few dietary requirements at the table which were effortlessly handled. We can’t thank you all enough! Dane & Mitch.

As a big fan of McConnell venues, I can definitely understand why Cutler & Co. is the flagship. Beautiful venue, perfect food and amazing service provided by the staff. We loved a long Sunday lunch and hope to be back again quicker than it’s taken us to getting around to our first time.

Such a great dining experience. The food looked and tasted delicious! Entertaining and appetising! We sat at the bar where we watched the chefs prepare, cook and plate up all the dishes. It was awesome to see. They were so professional and fascinating to watch.

We came here for date night and ordered the whole duck for $150 for our main meal and it was made in 2 ways. It was pretty good for the braised duck, the other one was also good but could've done without it. Better to try other dishes. Other entrees and oyster were yum. Amazing churned butter and the service was super friendly and the place was cosy but elegant.
G. P.
We had an awesome meal here with amazing service. It was a little loud at times, but it never felt uncomfortable for me. I really liked the duck we had as a main course. The desert was very good, but not exceptional. I definitely plan on visiting again!
J.
Perfect. The food is exceptional with lots of fresh flavours and delicate preparation. So many nice touches. Even the butter is amazing (admittedly one is infused with chickpeas and wasabi). Restaurant is stylish and set in a rustic but nicely finished space and the service is attentive but not invasive.

Loved the food and service. Very nice interior.

My wife and myself celebrated our anniversary in a late sitting with the tasting menu last night. Fantastic food which met our high expectation of the restaurant, and a waiter who was superbly attentive without being overbearing or pompous. The pleasure of speaking to him for advise on the wine for my wife, and the food origins and methods of cooking made the night a more celebratory evening.
Note to pastry/desert Chef - thanks for the little extra desert after enjoying the lovely mousse, fig leaf ice cream with prunes, not required but appreciated.
A. D.
One of my favorite restaurants in Melbourne. Delicious food, very refined. Menu is changed regularly. Staff always caring and accommodating. Perfect place to impress for date or a celebration.
K. C.
Love this place for a leisurely group Sunday lunch with great friends. First time back since the renovations and enjoyed being seated in the back atrium area which was bright & airy with a laid back feel in contrast to the slick front bar and mid section areas. Portions seemed a little smaller than the previous menus pre Reno, but we left satisfied nonetheless. Romantic date for 2 next visit...
W.
Went to try the cheeseburger here at the bar. Very nice place. The service is top notch.
The burger is very good and comes by itself with a few crispy potato fritter things. And some extra special sauce on the side to dip them in or put in the burger. It’s served as slightly make your own style with fresh lettuce and some chopped onion that you can put in the middle under the bun. It’s $25.
It doesn’t come with fries, so I feel it should come with a few extra potato crisps, but other than that it’s a pretty good burger to have with a wine or a nice beer and some water.

Prior to your book you are going to receive an email confirmation from them. It's very important to get acknowledge to ensure I'm booked in. Once you enter you will be greeted with friendly staff. I received smile as I was walking pass the kitchen and bar towards my table. It was a table for 2 with candle light, how romantic! They have a very comprehensive wine list and sommelier to assist you if you want. We weren't approached by a sommelier, maybe because we have already order drink before the sommelier had a chance to attend to us. They have a very simple a la cart menu. You can either choose to let the restaurant pick the food for you with a sample of 3 entree, couple of main, dessert and matching wine option. Or you can pick from the a la cart menu. Overall, I had a great experience with my companion in Cutler & Co. Would recommended for any couple wanting to spend quality time in a fine dinning environment. The session I book in had a 2.5hr limit, so plan well to suit your requirement. Lastly, there is a 1.1kg ribeye on the menu, but it takes 1hr to prepare, so when you make a booking, ask them whether there is any food which require such a waiting time. Enjoy!
S. B.
A great dining experience. Superb quality meals, with an extensive (and reasonably priced!) wine list topped off with superlative service. A great venue and a must to visit. I'll be back.
N. S.
Visited on the 27th Dec and sat in the area at the back of the restaurant. Ordered a la carte. Food was delicious and the service excellent. Particularly enjoyed a 'taste off' between Tas and Vic oysters and our sommelier whose knowledge and recommendations of local wines was superb.
P. E.
Had a really nice Sunday lunch here. The entrees were amazing, just great. The mains a dessert were nice but lacked the punch that entrees had. We had a great time none the less, abd good value for a tip quality meal.
J. T.
My family came to have dinner at Cutler & Co to celebrate a special occasion! I would definitely recommend that you book if you’re sure you’d like to come here.
I was initially planning to just try a main with a side and dessert, but in the end the whole table went for the chef’s selection, which is $AU170 per person, as indicated on the restaurant’s website.
Service: Water is charged per head, about $9 per person; while that charge is quite steep, your glass will be continuously topped up without you prompting, so you can stay hydrated to your heart’s content. My table was kept dry and clean between dishes by staff coming round with towels to tidy up any spills, especially from water running down cold drinks. The staff are friendly and attentive, which made for a really good experience.
Atmosphere: The restaurant used to be a warehouse, so the whole layout of the restaurant is largely open spaced, although the place is sectioned off into front, middle and back seating areas. The back part of the seating area is elevated and you’ll need to take a large step to get up and down, so make sure to let the restaurant know if there is anyone in your party that would have difficulty doing so.
Apart from the overhead lights which are dimly lit, each table has an open flamed candle, which sits in the centre of the table. While such a setting is quite romantic, I found that as the evening wore on, the restaurant does get quite dark. But such a setting makes the atmosphere of the restaurant cosy and very party intimate/private.
The food: As expected when choosing the chef’s selection, the whole table receives their food at the same time. The food is nicely presented, and you’re given a brief description about what you’re about to eat from one of the staff. For starters, we tried these bite sized choux appetisers (see my pictures!) that were delicious and refreshing, before being given fresh sourdough bread that came with two types of house-made cultured butter.
The menu my family tasted were as follows:
Kingfish crudo, horseradish, wild celery & begonia
Hand picked spanner crab, nasturtium sauce
Heirloom zucchini flowers, fresh cheese, pickled radicchio & pistachio
Salt baked chicken, radish, garlic cream & bacon
Fried leg, wild fennel glaze
Roast suckling pig, anchovy sauce, cos heart & nettle
Passionfruit sorbet with vanilla bean ice-cream
Spiced pineapple vacherin, coconut, vanilla & lime sorbet
Chocolate délice
Vermouth jelly and chocolate truffles to finish
The portions of everything were good, especially since there were so many dishes to try! I saw that the portions were much bigger when you order from the à la carte menu, but I enjoyed being able to sample more of what Cutler & Co. offered.
Overall, I had a great dinner here and I’d recommend to others to come here for a meal, especially for special occasions.
C. P.
We went here for dinner for our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. Very cosy setup, great service and great food. We really enjoyed. Thanks guys.
J. K.
The best advice I got about Cutler & Co: “go there” and “don’t skimp”. This wasn’t just food, it was a food experience to remember. The culinary creativity was unsurpassed. Loved how the individual components of a dish came together to create a multi-sensory alchemical mash-up in the mouth! The best memory I have from visiting Melbourne! My advice for those wanting to go: “Be open to trying lots of new things!”
J. S.
Impeccable service, with a special thank you to Esther who coordinated the reservation and Romy who took wonderful care of us. We had a company of 6 for Sunday lunch, including a 4 year old and 1 year old (had to BYO high chair, which was easy) which they accommodated and made feel welcome, even though it is a fine dining establishment. Needless to mention, the food was splendid.
P. W.
Might be the best quality meal I’ve had in Australia..... everything done to perfection. The staff the wine. The food. Great 👍🏻
A. K.
Was fantastic next door at Marion, high tempo, with momentum and alive. We had one plate there, eel and potato, vibrant and delicious. Next door for fine dining we got slow service, slow food and became bored as the restaurant emptied. The food was well put together... But the excitement had died after 2 hours having oysters and two starters. We cancelled a main so as to move on. Read got bored and left.
D. T.
Had a great night, good service, food is very well priced and quality was on point. Highly recommend.
Completely out of the restaurants control however, trying to find a parking spot on Gertrude street is a hair puller, you will have better luck looking in the smaller streets off Gertrude street, a lot of those streets are one way so plan ahead.
V. B.
An amazing experience.
Quality food with fantastic service.
J. R.
Amazing food and wines to match each meal. The amount of effort and skill it takes to deliver such an amazing collection of flavours and textures is just soo pleasing. I always feel good when fine dining but this is next level!
M. B.
Absolutely amazing experience for my Mums birthday. Service, attention to detail and the quality of the food all deserve a 5 star rating. And special mention to the staff again for being so attentive.
진.
It was amazing experience! I would love to recommend my friends!!
F. R.
Too crowded. Too loud. Would be better for a date or smaller group. The music was awful looped garbage. Food was okay. There was a standout duck and pear. There were some awkward long waits between courses, that felt they got longer as the meal went on (over three hours). Why are beer lists at fancy restos always so unimaginative?
j. h.
Amazing service and equally amazing food. On top of all that we were suggested a wine that we certainly would not have ever thought of choosing, which completely blew our minds. Incredible.
L. G.
Listed as fairly expensive but I'm not sure. Seems excellent value for money given the quality, inventiveness and knowledge of the sommelier. $400 for 3 people at the degustation lunch and matched wine, coffee. That good vale for good dining.
T. C.
Great food and service. No high chairs but quite baby friendly.
S. C.
Fantastic food and really friendly staff. Been a couple of times and enjoyed the experience. Would recommend going a la carte as not every dish on the chefs selection was hitting the mark IMO.
M. B.
Favourite restaurant yet! Love the vibe, the staff and the food. Beautiful place to go! Amazing wine too! Get a nice off dry Riesling and you'll be away!
E. F. A.
One of the best restautants that I eat in Melbourne. We had many excelent people taking care of our table, but I should mention Carlin: he took care of us and made us feel very confortable. Thank you all for the experience!!!
R. K.
Great restaurant with outstanding service. We went on a Sunday for dinner and enjoyed the Sunday special menu. Eating here is an amazing experience and I will definitely come back.
B. T.
Food was average...our second bottle of wine (shiraz) was off (priced @ $120 bottle) and we complained to the bar waitstaff but we were met with real resistance...we expected (after talking to the French manager) it to be taken off the bill but the restaurant still charged us in the end...we had to haggle with the manager and this left a real sour taste in our mouths... I really did not expect this from a top rated restaurant.. sorry guys this was poor form!
22/11 - got a call from the owner yesterday...he apologized and said they reviewed the incident and have changed there processes on wine selection and how they recommend there collection to clients...Thanks for the call mate...and hence the review goes from 1 star to 3 stars...
N. P.
Expensive but so worth it & Delicious. Believe the hype.
D. G.
We did the Sunday menu with matching wines. Great service, wine and food. Lamb was small portions for two but very tasty. Wine pairing really complemented the food.
T. E.
The new look is great; especially atmospheric if you dine towards the rear. Front of house greet staff lovely and sommelier excellent. Serving staff variable; but all friendly and well intentioned. The food is good. A nice variation on the predictable Flinders Lane outing.
P. N.
One of the best restaurants in Melbourne, and deservedly so. Enjoyed the $170pp tasting menu, with the duck in particular, being other-worldly.
A. C.
Omg by far the best place ive been to in melbourne!! You have to get the chefs special its worth every cent!! The staff all know exactly what they're talking about and the food is to die for!! Definitely impressed!! Great gift idea!
A. D.
Great ambience, service and most importantly fabulous food. We were lucky enough to score a last-minute reservation and Cutler & Co definitely lives up to its reputation. Worth every cent...highly recommended 👍
I. D.
What a wonderful experience. Staff were fantastic. Knowledgeable. Personable. Food and wine was amazing!
G. L.
WoW what can I say great food combinations and an amazing wine selection. Staff where amazing including the help in selecting a great bottle of wine. Would highly recommend Cutler & Co. Alittle pricy but worth every dollar!!! Will be back again!!
H. N.
Probably the best meal I've had in a while. Service is great and their martinis are beautiful. Just make sure you ask for your favorite gin because their default gin is Beefeater. 😰
K. L.
No dish was not a food moment. Had the chef's selection and matching classic wines and was not disappointed.
Z. B.
In the best tradition of the fine dining experience.
G. W.
Had one of the 'at home dinners' last night for my wife and me as a date night. Was awesome, easy to put together with the instructions and was delicious and well priced.
M. H.
Sunday lunch special is a great way to experience this place without blowing the budget. Food was great, service was next level - and all the staff were laid back enough to stop and have a laugh. Will be back!
I. F.
Beautiful space and great service! We ordered the rib eye and were a bit disappointed in how chewy and greasy it was. Everything else was great! The desserts are a must!
徐.
Amazing Night there!!
M. W.
The ambiance, the service & the food were all perfect. Was such an amazing experience for a special occasion.
L. B.
Absolutely amazing. Service, attention to detail and the quality of the food served here all deserve a 5 star rating. And special mention to the staff again for being so good!
Y.
The best meal I have ever had! The flavours were devine and I enjoyed every mouthful. The service was superb.
A. V.
Loved the interior. Food was lovely. But I thought it was a bit on the very pricey side. The side salads were a bit simple, no "love" to them. The meat was fantastic.
H. R.
Love thier degustation menu. We celeberate my gf bday here. The person who looked after us was excellent (French guy) I forget his name. Will dine here again in a heart beat.
M. M.
Great food and service. Loved the table next to the kitchen, chefs really professional, precised and clean. Great busy lunch atmosphere
V. X.
Came here last year for their degustation and loved it! Great fusion of modern flair with a twist of Asian flavours; the chef here has a great palate for delicate flavours. Would definitely come back.
M. M.
So far, this place had the best ambience between all the restaurants we've been to in Melbourne. The food is also great and the portions are pretty decent.
C. K.
Those clams in XO sauce. WOW!
L. R.
Great ambience! Beautiful atmosphere
S. S.
Had the best birthday/evening in the Cutler&Co Bar. Exceptional Food, Drinks & Service... If you're thinking of going DO IT! Enjoy :o)
M. T.
Great restaurant for a big night out. Consistently top quality food, drinks and service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
V. L.
Amazing food...as always.
P. K.
Pretty underwhelming for the price. Food was decent but nothing special. Restaurant was way too noisy and cramped in. Almost had to tell to hear each other at one point.
E. B.
Gorgeous! A beautiful setting, deeeelicious food and the service is impeccable. It’s very pricey, so save it for something special, but it is indeed, special.
T. S.
The food is amazing and very creative but felt like it was trying a little too hard. Our favorite part was the complementary bread and beetroot relish!
K. F.
Nice but very limited menu... mostly white meat... good wine list and great service.
J. Z.
Great food and outstanding services!
A. W.
Had am amazing experience with their chef selection menu and the wine pairing is a delightful must!
D. M.
One of Melbourne's best. Amazing food with just as amazing service. Degustation with matched wines is the way to go! :D
B. S.
Fantastic food with a solid staff. The tasting menu is a great way to experience a great variety of dishes from the kitchen.
J. M.
The most tender and juicy slow-cooked roast lamb I've ever had. Wonderful staff and service as well.
M. L.
Amazing service, very professional, wine list well priced, had the plateau de fruit de mer and steak tartare, great quality.
A. W.
Purely outstanding in quality of food, service and value. The ability to serve an astonishing range of produce in delicious configurations remains at the highest level.
C. L.
Amazing atmosphere, food and service. If i had to nit pick the booths could have had more comfortable seating otherwise it was a perfect night
N. E.
Finest produce prepared with amazing care and precision. Full of flavour. Fantastic presentation. Friendly and efficient first class service. Simply enjoy!
M. B.
Amazing food and service. We did vegetarian and normal chef's selection and could not fault a single dish in either.
T. H.
The food was great. Steak was cooked nicely. Took a while to serve us but still happy overall
E. B.
Good, delicious food, appealing atmosphere, helpful staff. I'll visit this place again.
M. R.
The best fine dining experience I've had in Australia. Get the suckling pig or the steak!
C. D.
Lovely place. Great vegan options and I felt completely normal rather than different (which is a good thing)
S. E. M.
Really good service. The food was cool/different yet delicious. The atmosphere is also superb!
M. C.
Had a very serene experience here, the food was up to standard would have given 5 stars but one of the employees dropped a piece of cutlery on the floor and picked it up and still served it to the unsuspecting customers
M. C.
Excellent Food and immaculate Service. Great selection of wines and Dessert selections and Favourite Cheese selections.
T. G.
The food was simply fantastic and not ridiculously priced given the calibre of restaurant. The staff were also excellent.
M. E.
Great place! Stylish, great menu and bar. A great taste of Melbourne. Excellent service!
S. P.
In my top 5 favourite restaurants in Melbourne! I love the Sunday menu. Perfect perfect perfect!
G. B.
High quality comes with its price. It was the most finely tuned meal I've ever had, and quite a relaxed atmosphere.
S. H.
Amazing best ever service and food impeccable. Live in NZ can't wait to get back with my husband.
L. L.
Although too rushed to get the degustation, the selection of entrees and mains ordered were a beautifully crafted melody of flavours. A great experience!
D. B.
Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food
