Friendly customer service. We ordered chicken handi , it was 10/10 Chicken reshmi kebab was 8/10 Garlic & butter naan bread was 10/10 made in tandoor oven and were made by someone very experienced. Food tasted exceptionally good .

Only reason giving 4 stars is coz though requesting food to be medium spicy-- pulao was too spicey and secondly bone pieces were not upto the standard as per the price of the menu... request to the owner to keep the prices down initially.

Amazing food... specially the goat karahi in desi ghee... full of flavour ... you need to taste it to know the flavour. Chicken Degi korma is a must try. Grand Opening of @Darbaar Restaurant located on 144 Rathdowne Street Carlton VIC as the name so is the customer service. welcoming with smile on their faces. that's a must every restaurant when a customer enters... we started with Special BBQ Platter Sizzler and BBQ Tandoori Prawns BBQ Platter was loaded with different types of chicken boti, chicken tandoori, lamb chops and kebabs... those 2 varieties chicken and lamb chops were the best.. 2nd was bbq tandoori prawns which are my favourite and hardly available at restaurants... YES they were the best for Mains we ordered Goat Karahi cooked in Desi Ghee and Chicken Deghi Korma words cant do justice with these amazing dishes.. Deghi korma reminded me.of those wedding kormas and goat karahi was same like food street... they have also introduced kulcha same.round shaped with sesame seeds and yes it was good... Cheese Naan is another good addition in the menu. for desserts we tried to try Gajar Halwa and home made Kulfi ice cream(Pistachio and Mango)... for drinks we tried Mojito and Pina Colada will be next time... well everything was cooked with so much love... already planned to give them another visit very soon... this restaurant has made it to my best restaurants in Melbourne list on Google(Top reviewer in Melbourne, Top Photographer) plenty of street parking is available on the front and on side streets... p.s. I have tried to do the justice by clicking good photos but in reality food is much tastier...

Datbaar is a must-try food destination for seekers of an authentic Lahori taste. The serving staff was courteous. We ordered Lahori Fish, Malai Boti and Special Mutton Karahi cooked in Desi Ghee; everything was luscious. Marination of Lahori Fish was on point, value for the money in real sense. The venue is very familiar because of the previous Restaurant at the same place, but the taste is different and opulent.

The best indian pakistani food you will eat in Melbourne. Each dish was perfect. Usually I prefer persian/afghan bbq, but this bbq was also very nice , tender and aromatic (spicy though). Chicken karahi was fresh magic, butter chicken was the best butter chicken i had in Melbourne. And the keema was also very nice. In the shop next door we had kulfi afterwards.. memorable day in melbourne foods!

Location is good. There is ample parking around however I would NOT call the food pure authentic Pakistani taste. I would not go there again. Just marketing hype. Food was not very good. Very spicy rice but that could just be me because I like mild.

Authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine, great taste and good portions. I tried this place and fell in love with the mouth watering indian cuisines. Specially, the Seekh Kebabs are the ones to visit this place often. Staff is really good and helpful too. Would really suggest anyone to visit if they are missing Indian food.

Not so tasty... we were there for buffet iftar..desserts not sweet .starters were ok. there was a huge line where people were carrying lots of food but while leaving we noticed that too much food was left on the tables... I wish the staff should have informed that wasting food is crime😌 and to take portions required... everything was good ... but need to improve taste. May be next time I go to this restaurant like normal treat n not for buffet... .

Best Iftar Buffet I had throughout all Pakistani restaurants in Melbourne in ramadan as I’ve visited every single Pakistani restaurant in Ramadan. Quality of their food and service was beyond exceptional level. Me and one of my friend went on last moment just before Iftar without booking and manager accommodated us despite its fully booked hall. Manager was taking care of food service throughout and there was no long wait in queue as compared to other restaurants like Khaabay , Dastarkhawan and BBQ Lounge. Highly recommended because of their quality service and food 🍱

From Hospitality to Food Quality and Taste everything was Flawless. If anyone is looking for Quality Fine dinning restaurant in Indian/Pakistani Cuisine then Darbaar restaurant is the place. Environment was modern and Elegant. Owners of the restaurant (Shehzad and Rana Shahzeb) are so very welcoming and the staff they have, from hygiene to hospitality everything was perfect and up to the mark 👍 We had Mutton Karahi made with desi ghee, BBQ platter, Kulcha bread. Meat quality in BBQ was Fresh, tendered and perfectly marinated. Desi ghee Mutton Karahi was so very delicious that my friend ordered one more for take away. I will mark 5 out of 5 for there food and service and highly recommend to taste hunters who are in search for real taste of sub continent (Indian/Pakistani Cuisine). Good job guys and best of luck

Karahi tastes good, but had a lot of spices plus chicken was not tender at all. Moreover, Biryani was not a Biryani (it was pulao with alot of gram masala) so please don’t call it Briyani (again chicken was not tender) Lastly, Kulcha was good but a bit burned from the corners but its OK but unfortunately no one came to our table and asked for the feedback while restaurant was not busy at all. Plus the guy on checkout also didn’t ask if we liked the food or if we needed anything else etc. Food 3/5 Customer Service 4/5 Ambience 4/5 Price 3/5

WOW Where do I start? The food was AMAZING 🤩❤️ the service was impeccable👍. The restaurant was cleaned and family friendly. We had a family dinner at Darbaar Restaurant around 30+ of us where we had organised for management to serve me and my family with there famous dishes. My family are big eaters and to be surprised that we were served the appetisers my whole family were in SHOCKED 😳 when we were told the main will be served shortly. Every single meal that were brought to us were spot on DELICIOUS 🤤 my family were left in ore of how amazing the food was 🤩 each plate and platter were returned to the kitchen EMPTY. This was by far the best Pakistani/ Indian food me and my family has ever had HANDS 🙌 DOWN 10/10. Thank you to management/ Chefs and staff for catering our needs. It sure was one very memorable dinner for my family❤️🥰. We will be sure to come back very very soon.Thank you again keep it up Darbaar team. Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you. I am usually picky with indian food, but this restuarant met my expectations. The butter chicken was amazing. A nice generous serving. We were waited on and served our food promptly. Thank you Shaz who reccomended the fish- my brother enjoyed the meal,and the bbq hot plate was impressive. Its a family friendly restaurant, my 1yr old was occupied with the childrens show on the TV. I love the location, close to the Melbourne Museum and Imax, i look forward to planning another trip here during the school holidays for a day out in Melbourne city.

Told we were the first customers! Amazing curries, butter chicken, vegetable korma, Dahl. Fresh coriander and spring onion. Flurry rice and creamy curry base. Super friendly service. Accommodated us even though we came early on their opening day. Will be my go to. Perhaps how I feel about your curries is best summed up by the great Leo da Vinci. He said that "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and there you will always long to return". But seriously nice.
