Let me paint a picture. It's the holiday season and everyone is hosting or going to events. First you go to a breakup with your friends at a restaurant. The food is good, but you leave feeling like you wanted more. The following day you have a work breakup at a bar and cafe. If you don't drink the only thing keeping you going is the food and yes, while it was good, it wasn't a huge takeaway for the night. You then have your volunteer breakup. It's at a place without a kitchen so you source a food truck to come along. "Digging for Fire BBQ Kitchen, that sounds alright", you say to yourself. Well, you would be correct. The food we were served at our brigade breakup last night was fantastic! You had the perfect duo of quality and quantity that left you content and the flavour, especially from the 12hr slow cooked pork, was absolutely beautiful! The friendly service from Dave and his daughter topped everything off and we really appreciated them coming down to serve some top-notch food. Next time I'm in Upwey, I know what I'm having for dinner!

Friendly and relaxed service. Staff seem to have a passion for the quality of the ingredients which is welcome respite from fast burger establishments. There were good vegetarian options on the menu that sounded the equal of their animal based counterparts. It won't be a cheap eat if you bring the family for dinner, however, you'll get quality for your cash. The brisket burger pictured was $15 and was delicious.

5 out 5, ordered burgers from here tonight for my birthday dinner. I had the El Cubano. omg it was yummy, and chips were crunchy, and had to have a beer to go with 😍😍 highly recommend the burgers!! staff are friendly, helpful, polite and welcoming. keep up the wonderful service and yummy burgers. will be back in future. thank you.

This was my first time and my husband's first time to have a meal here. I rang to place our order, I asked if I could get 1 chicken loaded fries and 1 pulled beef loaded fries both with out the sauce on it but in separate containers on the side. They said no problem at all that could be done. I went in to pick it up my orded took it home to find the beef was sauce free as requested but no sauce on the side, the chicken had the sauce on it which I had asked it not to be, I was unable to eat it but fortunately my husband was able to eat it but that wasn't the point. Apart from messing the order a bit the chips were hot and cooked well, the beef was pull apart delicious and my husband said the chicken was nice. Thank you for saying yes to altering the order evwn if there was a little mess up.

A new family just moved to the Ranges recently. We are unfortunatly can't eat gluten. And really get excited to eat gluten free ...especially hamburgers. Normally go to 'Grilled' Having noticed BBQ kitchen... and local; we were looking forward to a treat! $40 for two gluten free burgers and chips.. Served some delicious BBQ meat and falafel for our event of 90 guests from their food truck. Canapes and main meals flew out of the truck into hungry mouths. Highly recommended. Their restaurant is also excellent.

Great local burger spot, always something interesting on the menu. The team are super friendly, and there's always good music playing. Don't go here expecting to walk in and out in 5 minutes, perfection takes time.

Dave and his team at Digging For Fire catered our wedding day back in October. We had a canape hour and then the main meal was a buffet style feast. We had soooooo many comments on how delicious the food was!! It is truly wonderful! We had quite a few vegetarian and vegan guests and they were blown away with the variety and quality of food also. Dave was so easy to work with and we have to say Thank you to him and his team for also braving the wind and rain right on the beach, it must have been so cold and hard for you but you guys always had a smile on your face and did not complain once so Thank you! We really appreciate it! Would definitely recommend anyone looking to cater an event! And looking forward to having some more of your yummy food soon!

Good food with plenty of options, and a great range of drinks. Staff were friendly and their service was good. Flexible with dietary requirements, too which was a plus. Our dairy free, gluten free, fructose free friend found options to eat and really enjoyed her meal.

I feel like a divkhead going out for dinner and being served on a paper plate with plastic cutlery. The food is OK but when it gets soggy and Ur eating cardboard with your dinner I think it's not worth it, not to mention the blatant waste of single use products

THE BEST. As a massive food lover I sussed this out on the first day it opened in Upwey. One taste, and you'll be hooked. The consistency of the food is the best I have encountered in any restaurant. A simple menu may seem underwhelming when you first glance at it, but the true artistry of each item speaks for itself and makes for easy repeat ordering of your favorite. Seriously, the food is delicious. Try everything. Pricing is really reasonable and a feast for 2 (with leftovers) will set you back around $45.00 on average. (Normally get Loaded chips, burger, sml salad, wings) There is very limited seated inside this place but with a focus on takeaway don't be put off if you don't see anyone inside... it just means we were in and out with our tasty snacks! They also have a kids menu, which looks just as tasty as the main meals. I have eaten this food at least every 2nd/3rd week since it opened and have never had a bad meal or poor service. Go. Eat.

Dave & his team catered for my wedding. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend using these guys for a event, they had a fantastic range for vegetarian and gluten free people. Plus they have a restaurant in Upwey. So pop into Upwey sample there food, you wont be disappointed.
