Comments of Father's Office Speakeasy Bar and Restaurant

Loved this place! In my short Melbourne stay they were like family. So incredibly friendly we ended up having a ball together. Just ask for the Alex cocktail! Definitely a must stop by on any stay rain hail or shine.

Was craving for chicken wings, and this restaurant popped in my UberEats.
I ordered the Famous New York Buffalo Chicken Wings (24 pieces) & the Secret Seasoned Fries (medium size).
I expected the wings to be a bit more spicer, but they turned out mild and messy. The fries were a bit soggy and oily.
So if you are after NY Buffalo Wings, this is not the place. and they have funny timing as well, so if you want to visit/order online, you need to keep in mind that they are open only from Thu to Sun and close the rest of the week.
Probably not the best place to order food from.

Been here twice and it's a very South American orientated bar but allows anybody to come in. Good prices on drinks and the vibe is amazing. Had a great time here with my mates. Loved it.
A. H.
Was a bit disappointed overall. Like many restaurants, they don't come to your table anymore to take your order, but force you to use an online system which is time consuming and annoying, every time you want to order something. The parma I ordered at first (cost $26) was a complete rip off, and was tiny. Complained about it, and thankfully they gave me another one that was double the size, so in the end I was happy about that. I would say though that there are many better places in the area.
a. p.
great venue and quality service the burger and the nachos were good.
T. A.
Good place for a drink.
It would have been even better if the outdoor area stayed open until 3am too
J. L.
The place is alright if you're just hanging out with friends. Not an ideal location for a business meeting. Music is loud, so it's not really a speakeasy.
F.
Pretty standard bar with happy hour!
I had the Japanese sprite and lychee on the tap. Nice little cocktails but low in alcohol tho.
Food was overall average and can get expensive.
T. W.
Hands down best Sweet potato fries ever! And the Philly cheesesteak sandwich is out of this world so glad they added it back to the menu! Not to mention the service from Alex and the rest of the staff. Cannot speak more highly of Alex and his efforts to accomodate us! Cocktails are amazing! 10/10

Awesome venue, had the pleasure of attending our Christmas work party here. The food was yummy, with everyone enjoying the service.
We had a bar tab, as dis some other groups. Wrist bands helped to 8dentify who had what bar tab. So this was well organised.
Outside the bar tab, drinks were a lil expensive. $18 for a pint if Asahi. All beers, and a range of cocktails available on tap. A good venue for a spoilt dinner setting, but I wouldn't recommend it as a watering hole, you may find your cash flow take a big dip.
For the experience, I'd definitely consider dining here again for very special occasions.

This bar is always a little crowded but this is probably because of their happy hour menu. Off this menu things can be a little pricy. Convenient location near Melbourne Central and State Library.
With that being said, lychee cocktail is the best cocktail on the menu!

Astoundingly high quality modern food in this loud hipster joint. Good service. A great range of drinks, some at low prices. Many gluten free options. Recommended. Monday nights are less busy. Lots of good places to sit in the bar. Views.

My first time here. Hospitality is 10/10 here at Father's Office - friendly is an understatement. The manager and his team were very attentive, always checking back if we had further requests. Ordered the humongous 350g Scotch Fillet, cooked perfectly and value for money at $30. The other main, fisherman's basket was a tad too oily but it didn't matter because the service from the staff was super. Special mention to Wayne who had excellent knowledge of beer, and after listening to our preferences, recommended the Lagunitas IPA Beer, which was spot-on.
D. M.
Great little bar in the heart of the city. Funky interior decor and seating outside. Daily specials and great happy hour options from 5-7.
Food was okay but the presentation of the wings was almost a bit too funky to practical. Sauce served in a tiny jar which isn't actually wide enough to dip your wing into 🙈

I was introduced to this place a couple of years back when it first opened and I was keen to check it out after it became more popular. After 2 years, I can definitely say – there have been fond memories over here.
A quick catch up with the old crew, meant that I had to decide on the food before I got there. I settled on the Fried Chicken Burger. At $20 – I was a little stunned. The burger was good, but the chips weren’t all that flash.
The service was attentive at the start and waned the longer the night went on.
Overall, I would recommend this place as a drinking spot over a place to eat out. Especially on Friday nights and the weekend – once the other half of the restaurant becomes a hybrid bar/nightclub, you can’t even hear yourself eat.
TDT: 3.5/5.0
이.
We ordered 4 vegan menus.
Lentil&pumpkin burger, zucchini&macadamia, quinoa &roasted pumpkin salad and cauliflower fries.
Most of them were okay.
Just... okay
I like salad because it was based on rice.
Cauliflower fries were okay. Taste like fried cauliflower.
Burgers were bit too dry.
Oh! Vegan aioli was great.
However, I will Never come back again

3.5. It was going off here on a Friday night. As it should, of course, at the end of a long hard working week in Melbourne. It’s a nice spot here up the north end of town and easily accessed off little Lonsdale Street. It’s a good spacious and attractive place. I like the speakeasy theme and associated features throughout. It’s interesting and fun. There’s a lovely view from here out the back over the State library forecourt. You know, the one with the elegant grassed and terraced areas and a few nice eucalypts. Such great areas of the city on the right day. This is basically a very good bar. Any place that has the magnificent Laphroaig quarter cask has a very good range of alcohol. On the other hand, a few of the servers might benefit from a stint at charm school. But, it’s a good bar overall. It does what it does pretty well.
c. h. n.
Not exactly a speakeasy per se. The place feels more like a diner than a speakeasy. There’s a nice variety of drinks here. But some of the cocktails could be a little bit too sweet for our liking.
C. J.
Great little rooftop area to chill, eat, smoke (in designated area). The food is epically good, full of flavour and good portions at great prices. There are loads of vegetarian options, which my group of friends loved. Staff are pleasant and have great drink recommendations and are happy to try new mixes not on the menu.
a. r.
Great place for all occasions. I have been here a few times and I have always enjoyed the great vibe of this place. The staff sre super friendly and the meals are A.MAZING. this place is quirky and they have a happy hour every night. Really comfortable indoor area with a few couches or you can sit at a table. Cool outdoor area too
A. “. L.
Been here on 2 separate occasions for lunch, and this is probably the definition of 3 stars. 'It's Ok' is exactly how i'd describe this.
The atmosphere is good and the service is generally quick. At lunch they have $15/$20 deals of a main with a drink and that is good value. However both times the food was just average. Once i ordered a steak medium rare and it came out rare, another time I ordered it medium and it came out medium rare so probably order steaks 1 temperature up from what you want. Other than that their chicken parma has no ham :( and just tastes alright.
Overall this is an average place to have lunch with decently quick service but with average food at least at a good price.

Me and my partner came to Father's Office at 7:30 pm on a busy friday night to dine in and have dinner. Originally since we had no booking we had to wait for the table to be available. Our server that night was Will and I have to say he did a great service. He made us feel comfortable, checked on us and gave recommendations as well which we happily ordered. We received such good service and we left feeling very full and happy. We are excited to be back and to feel this bar and resto's genuine hospitality.
J. C.
5 stars for doing everything right! Despite having so many options in the city, this unexpectedly ended up being high up on the list. The staff were very courteous, and accommodated large groups. Also saw some good deals going on. Will return to try food.
A. D.
We just ordered beers with this platter which is average cause most of the stuff didn’t have any flavour to it cause of little to no salt.
M. b. H.
An awesome venue in QV with even better food! Always a busy place for drinks of Friday and Saturday, we came on a much more chilled Monday night. The music was spot on so props to whoever does the playlist! Pictured is the Double Chicken Burger, Mac & Cheese, Fried Burrito and Philly Cheese Steak.
The chicken burger and Fried Burrito were amazing, however the cheesesteak and Mac & cheese quite the opposite. I definitely recommend the chicken burger, one of the best I've had in Melbourne!

Not a bad place to come to get a cheap Tuesday night steak and schooner for under $20. You can definitely find worse places than this.
That said, the cuts of meat are on the cheaper side (rump instead of porterhouse) and the music volume in the dining area isn't what you would call pleasant.
I prefer eating and clubbing as two seperate activities...Just sayin'
I.
Good space - lots of seating options. Excellent lunch deals $15 Mon-Fri main plus a beverage. Food was pretty good. Service was quick and friendly. Kind of art nouveau interior - serving mostly American styled dishes. Had the philly cheesesteak which could have done with some onions/peppers or even a small salad to balance the meal. Good selection of drinks.

Right next to the beautiful library, it’s great to sit outside when the weather is nice, you get to see people passing by the library. Drink is good, staffs are really friendly. Ambiance is great, too.
D. M.
Amazing venue, quality service from literally everyone I came into contact with! Stefanie was an angel at making sure my night was planned out smoothly, and Mike was an absolute champion at ensuring I had the best birthday. Honestly not a single complaint, everyone really did the most to provide me with high quality service throughout the night 😍
E. Y.
Great place for lunch! Daily specials & a drink for $15 - Can't go wrong! Love the interior and had a great cosy rooftop area!
M. N.
Wednesday night “All you can eat wings “ includes a drink too! Louisiana southern fried was my favourite!
J. M.
This fun venue attracts both a young and up to a 40-50yrs crowd. Whilst it is accoustically challenging for conversation, its vibe and excellent food make it more than worth a visit. The staff service is excellent and very obliging. A drink on the outside verandah affords a great view of the streets below. Later on in the night, the furniture in the bar area is pushed back to create a huge dance floor and the music cranks up.
M. C.
Great food and service, though felt rushed to hurry up and finish despite booking in a certain time slot. Super friendly staff.
C. A.
First time here…with friend…
Find out the atmosphere and music are GREAT…and the services are Good…
It's Great!! The Musics are Classic but not old.
It would be in the list of my classic place!
Highly Recommend!!
J. R.
Had the Philly Cheese Steak, devoured within minutes. My partner enjoyed the Pumpkin Lentil burger. We were moved to a corner away from a large noisey table on their insistence. Points there. Service was fast with order and food delivery. Hostess was very accommodating and keen to ensure we had what we needed to enjoy our meals.

First time visiting this place as part of a team Christmas lunch. The place was super busy but service was fast. I purchased the lunch special for $20 -Nonnas Meatball Sandwich and a cider. Food portions weren't too large thankfully and the meal was tasty. Good place to visit if you have a big group!
R. U. (.
Found this gem visiting from Sydney. Super nice staff, fast service and amazing cocktails!
M. V.
Bottomless cocktail selection was very good; great range of drinks to choose from. From spirit basics to sweet cocktails. Included side of hot chips are excellent. Staff are exceptional, especially Andy (floor manager) and Nash (bartender). Great service, good menu, good music. Will be back again :)
T. “. P.
Been there about a month ago. Drinks, bar food and music. Nothing out of this world but fairly priced and good.
Can't go wrong - perfect place for evening drinks.
This place also has a smoking area on the balcony.
J. L.
Hurray to a nice bar with both indoor and outdoor area! Quite like the environment except it has a big stack of stairs to 'climb up' (I haven't figured out if there is a lift) so it was hard with the heels! Everything else is pretty cool here but the heater on the outside almost roasted us! Thumbs up for that pretty bar tender too!
D. L.
Great service and vibe. Very accommodating. Just wish menu was bigger.
E. C.
Had the best time here on a Sunday afternoon. Special shout-out to Andy who made our experience an absolute delight!
W. H.
Amazing service. Great atmosphere. A++. Fantastic food. Waiter even created a new cocktail for me on request. Rare gem!
C. G.
Great food, great atmosphere. Loved the icy drinks on a hot day too. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who asked.
E. M.
Amazing Place!!!
Fast service, delicious drink, lovely atmosphere, warm outside, people watching from outside and lovely view. Would definitely go again, the cocktails are amazing, try the frozen ones!!!!!!!
S. S.
Great place for a relaxed lunch, great atmosphere and has a cool 1920s fine which works really well with the drinks and the food items definitely a recommendation for anyone in the city after a casual lunch /dinner or drinks with friends or work colleagues
S. S.
Manager on duty today showed so much pizazz, very accommodating and friendly. Top notch service
Z.
Good music, good food and very accessible by public transport. Great atmosphere and happy hour is the time to be here.
A. J. (.
It’s not bad for a small event. The wait staff are a bit 50/50, some are rude and some are extremely friendly. It’s a bit dirty and not the nicest looking venue.
g. m.
Great atmosphere and drinks selection, plenty of cocktails and beers to choose from. The food is great value and the meals are very big. Definitely worth a visit for lunch, dinner or just to grab a drink.
A. S. (.
We had a great experience at Fathers Office in the CBD. Mike, the manager, was one of the best venue managers that I’ve ever encountered in Melbourne. When there was a breakdown in communication with an item that wasn’t available, Mike took the time to address everything accordingly and come and personally explain things to us. It was a situation that could have left a sour taste in our mouths but left us admiring him and the staffs ability to navigate everything appropriately and with the guests best interest at heart.
The ambiance is great, the music is awesome, the drinks are good, the staff is kind and again- the manager is the best.
R. S.
While in Melbourne for work I went to this place at least 5 times. Absolutely awesome food in a great atmosphere at a reasonable price. Top notch. Will return every time I’m in Melbourne And close by.
P. C.
Great service. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Scoopon voucher excellent value. Nearly got a 5. Shout out to Sandeep. Highly recommend.
J. L.
Great place if you love to share! Order some platters and have a couple of drinks .... or a giant bowl of punch!
D. G.
The staff went above and beyond to host our function and make it a night to never forget and I speak on behalf of all the attendants, will definitely be coming back. Speak to Mike, he is the man and you'll be in good hands if you organise your event with him!
I wish I could leave more stars !
C. G. (. G.
Good vibes. Good drink selection. Basic but delicious menu. Very very loud.
A. L.
Great bar to chill out, nice views of Flinders st on the terrace. Staff are really helpful, laidback scene attracting the office crowd after work.
M. B.
Booked to have a few drinks last Friday - was served by Andy. The beers were cold and the cocktails were delicious and the service we received made it 10 times better - he was hilarious and incredibly friendly! The business is lucky to have someone like that working there - 5 stars!
S. G.
Good CBD location to take customers for lunch. Very attentive staff and great atmosphere.
J. B.
Good food and nice atmosphere; ideal for a casual lunch with mates.
A. G.
Had a jug of cocktail which seem to be all mixer and no alcohol. Got some starter/share plates of food, was generic, average food, not bad but, not fabulous. Ordered a gin and tonic and they served it with a PLASTIC STRAW which I think in this day and age businesses should eliminate single use plastic! I Wouldn't rush back.
J. S.
The venue was very accompanying during COVID. Our group couldn't ask for a better night out with their bottomless cocktails. Our group will never forget the manager Mike and how well the staff treated everyone.
장.
Good place here :-)
Hot place
You can come to there
You won’t regret it
A. C.
Food was great and so were the drinks.
S. V.
Great for corporate get togethers! Can’t speak enough about their meal deals. They come with meal plus a drink which is worth the price. That said they don’t compromise on the taste. We had Cajun spiced fish which I loved and the fisherman’s basket is my next choice which is full of flavour!
G. S.
Loved the all you can eat $20 chicken wings but prepare for food coma. And bring lots of people so you can pass off the chicken wings to others when you are full.
T. S.
Good spot to chill out with friends.
Decent prices, they also have a happy hour discounts as well.
If you're a smoker, they have a smoking section out on the balcony.
J.
Good place to hang if you work in the city and want to grab lunch or have drinks after work.
Plenty of seating to go around, smoking allowed on the balcony in the designated area.
Food here is pretty decent with price and quality. Service is standard, no complaints.
It can get really noisy so if you're looking to have a DnM or go on a date, it might be hard to hear.
However there is a dining area if you want to get away from the noise and want to have a sit-down meal.
J. M.
Came expecting a speakeasy but it's just an ordinary bar... Albeit with friendly bartenders and tasty 2 dollar happy hour tacos. Would come back again for sure.
D. B.
The host, Andy, was so great! He was polite and friendly (although he claimed not to be) and the service and food was prompt, professional and great. First time coming back post covid and will be coming back soon.
T. O.
Omg, the food is cheap and fantastic, happy hour is about 4 hours long and the place is vibrant and exciting. Amazing place! Try the Cheeseburger topped schnittty or the Arancini balls.
A. L.
Came here with my girlfriend a week. Happy hour goes from 5pm till 7pm and starts again from 8pm till 9pm.
We have also tried the chicken wings for 6$ and the taco offer for 3$ each (vegetarian option too). Cheap and cool, wine was good too for that price! We will come back soon!
d. m.
The venue was a little noisey, but after we all settled in it was fine. The food choices were extensive, I had the zucchini burger and was delicious. Others members of our party had meat pie, steak, burgers and they all enjoyed their meals. There is a children's menu and all six of the children were full. The staff were very patient, helpful and friendly.
S. F.
Had an amazing time at the bottomless party. Food was absolutely up to scratch (steak was brill) and the drivers kept coming. Was down to our great waiter, Will who gets a special mention. Would recommend.
D. K.
Tried the bottomless drinks and some of their foods on offer and was not disappointed. They were not stingy and service was friendly and forthcoming. The booking system was a bit of a hassle and not very secure but the staff got it sorted for us.
U. D.
Good vibes and high class for a bar with a great view of the city
P. C.
Went here for a work farewell party. The drink are great and cheap. The cocktails were delicious. We're for some food as well. The hot the fried chicken burger and it was great. The rest of the table was also happy with there food. The only downside was that we were being rushed to order and eat
A. L.
Waitress took the wrong order, but the manager gave us a refund with no problem. Food was really good - especially the Tuesday special steak and the Fish n Chips. The atmosphere was great, was not too loud as some reviews claimed. Good to go with a big group of friends!
A. Z.
If you ever come to fathers office, ask for Andy! Best server of all time!!?
C. B.
Good place to go out if you're not the type to go for a big night. Tasty food at a reasonable price and standard range of drinks. All with a rooftop balcony.
J. J.
Good food, extensive selections of drinks from beer to spirits to liqueur. We can come in, pick a seat, then ordered through a web app. Quick and simple, no queue or being pressured to order quickly. We love it will definitely come again.
J. B.
This is a bar and restaurant, they serve boutique beers and a selection of cocktails and other bar drink. The menu is vegan friendly, and the sticky date pudding is worth the indulgence. There is an outside area overlooking the State library and Swanston street. Price is mid range with a pint of Heineken at $14.00. Nice place, good atmosphere, great for friends or your romantic fun dinner date.
L.
I love how the bartenders can be so interested in your taste and recommend different things. I'd definitely go back there!
T. H.
Meet up with cousin to farewell her French exchange student. Despite COVID, the setup was great. Food was fantastic! Waitress wasn't as knowledgeable about menu and drink's list but found the answers out. Head floor staff were energetic and great.
B. A.
First time here awesome place! Also my first time ever leaving a review but Father's Office definitely deserves it. Made a reservation for 9 on a weds but came in early and they were able to seat us in a few mins. The all you can eat wings plus a schooner of beer for $22 drew me in what a great deal! It's from 5-10 on Wednesday plus they have happy hour deals. Don't worry they have a good variety of food the sampler plate was amazing! Every staff member displayed great service. Nate was our server and he was excellent very attentive! And I almost forgot to mention the interior and setting is awesome! I will be returning and I will definitely recommend
C. S.
We had a slight fault with one meal paper was left on one of the veggie burgers. Told management who handled it amazingly. Got a full refund on the one meal and got a round of free drinks. Amazing customer service. Plus the food was great.
A. J.
I have been here 3 time and first time because it was close to office but returned because I loved it. It has a fully licensed bar. There is 20 AUD lunch menu with one drink included. No matter which one you select quantity is more than filling and taste is extremely satisfying. Will be returning again. The entrance to the restaurant is small and there is a chance that you might miss it as I did the first time.
L. M.
I've been here a few times before and always enjoyed it, but tonight made me want to leave a review. We came here for dinner with my parents and our 18 month old son, and it was WONDERFUL. The staff were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make sure our son was occupied and even brought him a plate of strawberries to snack on. One staff member (I didn't get his name, but he was wearing glasses!) dropped by every now and then for a quick chat and he was just lovely. My parents hadn't been here before but said they had an excellent time and definitely want to go back. Food was also amazing, and the dessert platter was delicious. It is nice to know that even though it isn't necessarily geared towards families with young children, staff will make you feel very welcome if you do bring your kids. We will most definitely be back!
A. S.
Been here only once for a work related team lunch. They had a $20 lunch deal which includes a main meal and drink. I ordered the cinnamon dusted calamari which was fresh and quite tasty.
The venue is large and spacious with a balcony for smokers. There were issues with the door to the balcony which kept locking itself. We were seated inside next to the door and preferred to keep it closed as the cigarette smoke was coming in, but had to have it open unfortunately which stunk up the place. Hope to see it fixed the next time we return.
M. H.
The $15 lunch deal is great value - meal and a drink.
M. W.
Spent the night at the bottomless event and was attended by the fantastic Will. Couldn't ask for a better experience or for a funnier guy who was brilliant at memorising large drink orders and making sure we never died of dehydration. Can recommend highly!
K. C.
Good selection of GF items and a dedicated fryer as well. The celiac in our group was able to have a tasty burger and fries and said that the GF bun was excellent. No table service so you order at the bar - staff was okay but not overly friendly. Very loud music.
G. S.
Decent happy hour for a Friday! Very tasty wings...although not quite authentic Buffalo style.
The Speakeasy part must be downstairs...this was Pub all the way, with Diner on the side 😉
C. B.
$22 all you can eat wings on Wednesdays are a good deal, but I feel like the quality has gone down a bit recently. Not as many flavours, chicken is a bit well-done. Still a good deal. Good happy hour specials too
M. J.
I ordered way too much thinking it would be smaller servings. All the food was great but I struggled with the main and 2 sides, my mistake.
Table spacing between different groups of people is what I'd call intimate and weirdly while we were there all the different groups of people were bunched up in the corner away from the windows.
It felt weird being all put in the corner with everyone while the rest of the floor was empty. We did actually end up moving away from the tightly packed bunch to a different table and it felt much more relaxed.
Would have been nice if they let you take a pick where to sit as it wasn't busy at the time or if they spread out people, there is a bit of stuff to look outside the window and not sure why they didn't seat people nearer there.
Don't let this put you off tho, food was good as was the service by the staff for orders and drinks. Had plenty to choose from either vegeterian or gluten free menus.
Thanks
M. G.
I love this place so much, both times I went I left very satisfied. I high recommend everyone come to this bar. Amazing views and amazing bartenders. Andy is an absolute legend
F. P.
Love it, great place, great prices and they got a burger that's called the "man burger" (see picture) how on earth am I supposed to resist that?! It was delicious btw
R. T.
Good deals, nice place. Totally worth it.
J. M.
Very loud environment. With loud music and people eating meals trying to converse with one another while trying to compete with the music and those around them. Could barely hear a thing.
The meals were nice. Though my BBQ ribs were rather spicy without any warning on the menu to tell me they were hot. I'm not a big fan of spicy food so it was a struggle to even finish half of my ribs.
The biggest highlight is probably the balcony. If it wasn't so crowded and noisy it would actually be quite tranquil and relaxing.
The line at the bar would take a minimum of 5-10 minutes just to get a drink as well.
S. E. B.
I’m going to give Father’s Office five stars as the only complaint I had was that after about 7 pm the music was a bit too loud. This did impact on some conversation with my friend. However, it is a bar and they do have music so sometimes you have to accept these things!
I cannot fault the service. I use a wheelchair and the dining room is not accessible. However they have tables in the accessible area for bar food. The manager was fantastic and set up a table in this area so it had the dining room feel. He also set up a tab for us to save me having to go back and forth to the bar, pay each time and get someone else to carry my drink and food back to the table. He looked after us the whole night, making sure the waitress was their for our needs. She was fantastic, really friendly and efficient and answered any questions we had. I cannot thank the staff enough for their consideration of my disability needs without me having to ask.
From the street, the normal access point is up a flight of stairs. However there is clear signage that directs you to the accessible lift just inside QV. In Father’s Office is a wonderfully large wheelchair accessible toilet/baby change room which has an easy to open door and a lock that is easy to manage.
I love the way this Speakeasy bar/restaurant was set up with brilliant decor and venue specific outfits worn by the staff. It has a really great vibe and all the patrons were relaxed and not boisterous.
I will become a regular as the menu is yum, yum, yum! We shared a double fried chicken burger with chips, arancini balls, and cheeseburger spring rolls. All the food had its own individual flavours and everything was well seasoned and quite frankly extremely delicious. There was a large variety of condiments to go with each of the food each of the meals. The mustard for the spring rolls was spectacular!
I would definitely recommend this venue and can see why it has been running so successfully since 2012.
J. G.
OK cocktails, beer is substandard... Not sure when the lines were last cleaned properly. I don't mean to be cruel but I would not call this a speakeasy.
Decent food, loved the wings and eggplant chips.
If you are the owner or manager of this establishment don't take this the wrong way. Contact me and I may be able to help with the beer situation.

Coming out of lockdown we were a bit conscious of venues adhering to rule or people not obeying the rules... can I just say the staff were impeccable and extremely hospitable but the patrons also pulled their A game... This is a great testament to the hard work by Victorians and the resilience of the venues as we re-open. I hope that every venue in Melbourne continues the lead Fathers Office have taken.

Came here for my birthday on a Saturday night. It was much louder and more crowded than we were expecting a speakeasy to be (despite it's name, this place is not a speakeasy). We're vegetarian, and the menu online had at least four vego mains. Not the case when we got there: only two vego mains were left on the menu. They were pretty tasty, though we found the beetroot chutney flavour overpowering.
The big problem here were the drinks and the service. The first round took 10 minutes to come out, the second round took 25 minutes. When we finally got our server's attention after about 15 minutes, she said the drinks were probably sitting at the cocktail bar but "it's pretty busy, you know?" Like, of course I understand that it gets busy and things take a bit longer to come out. But how about some empathy? How about letting us know that the drinks would take a bit longer to come out instead of just leaving us to wonder while sobering up?
And this is just a side note, but it kind of put me off the moment I first walked in. I saw the manager place both of his hands on a female server's hips while she was counting glasses at the drinks station. He said something to her, and then walked away. She didn't seem too affected by it, but I struggle to see how that sort of behavior is appropriate for a restaurant.

Many a memorable nights at the Father's office. Great place to hang out for drinks and a little bit of jiggling dance on a weekend night or a nice quiet night with some mates on a weekday night. The open area shuts too soon and would be a lot more fun if it's open longer, but overall, fun experience Everytime. Special mention to the wall and couch for photos, at the stairways down :D
J. S.
The restaurant was cold on Sunday evening and I had my coat on most of the time as did other customers.
The service was a little slow but friendly. My husband asked for a steak and they had run out at 6pm. My first choice of drink was unavailable. The food was delicious and we would go back.
c.
Had a really great time for lunch with the girls here on a Saturday. The service from the manager who was waiting on us was brilliant.
The food was definitely value for money. Portions were gigantic. I was full by the time I finished entree before getting to the steak main. Definitely will be back for drinks and food in future.
A. P.
This place is a popular happy hour haunt. And they have happy hour down to a fine art. One of the online reviews we read mentioned that they had $1 French sparking, I feel like this is quite out of date! Upon ordering this, we received a $2 glass of Lindemans... lol. In saying that, there are many drink options and the food is great. My friends had burgers and enjoyed them a lot. Centrally located and a great atmosphere. A fun place to visit.
M. W.
The vibe wasn't what I expected as something advertised as a speak easy. I came in on a Saturday night and it was incredibly busy. Not a nice pub, it's a club. If you're looking for a sit down pub where you don't have to shout go elsewhere. I'm sure it's great when it's quieter though!
A.
Food is reasonable, however, they refused to take our Entertainment Book voucher because "we ordered the lunch special", even though no limitations are mentioned anywhere. Also, four different staff consistently came past our table to ask if we had ordered, how the food was, if we wanted to order dessert, etc. This became a bit disruptive to our conversation in the end.
A. M.
This used to be one of my favourite places for pre drinks and for catch up with mates. Tonight was a bitter experience. Wanted to have a round of tequila for a group of 8 and we were told that they don’t have shot glasses; what kind of pub runs out of shot glasses. I really hope the staff behind the counter lift their game up a bit and try serve the customers with a more professional attitude. Not happy at all.
A. B.
pretty good, dining room was cool, share platter was huge for 2, mains were perfectly cooked. wine list was good. service was average, but on the good side of average. I'd be back for after work drinks/bites...not a dinner place - too loud.
J. T.
Had yet again a great time yesterday at Father's Office till 12 am. Amazing ambiance, great variety of drinks and the highlight of the night was the outstanding selection of music that just makes you wanna come back for more. Hats off to the DJ and to the rest of the crew at Father's Office!
A. S.
I love the drink deals, and during the day it's actually really quite nice here to have a drink and a meal. But now there has been a few too many times that their bouncers have been extremely rude and unfair to people I know. One instance being that a friend of mine was told that people were not allowed to wear hoodie inside the bar, but when we came up the stairs, there were a few people in the bar already wearing hoodies! I wish this wasn't the case, but if this keeps happening I'll be going elsewhere.
M.
Wow. I loved the vibe of the place. Especially the bar. Plus, the happy hour provided us with affordable (or more than that) wine. 5 dollars! Couldnt believe that the happy hour lasted until 8pm+? And.. The food afterwards was also nice. The price affordable. Food and vibe nice. The good balance between being casual and fancy. Gonna be my another favorite go-to place in CBD. :)
G. J.
The Parma here is delicious. The Indian bartender with red bow tie was really patient with our order and he let us taste different beers that helped us choose the best one. Although, the place can get a bit noisy, customer service is on point. Cheers.
M. F.
Food was good. Service was acceptable
R. T.
Ive been to this place a few times, its a great place to catch up with friends and they have some good items on the menu for happy hour
E. A.
This review would have been 5 stars.
The potential was there.
Excellent cocktails, icy cold beer, atmosphere was fantastic on a Friday, and food was hot and tasty!
But sadly the Christmas tree was not pointy, and I'm not sure what you have against Christmas but it has ruined the entire evening. I suggest you have your Christmas tree provider review their stock of tree 4/5 would return with a better tree.
K. L.
Great atmosphere, quick and excellent service, and all very affordable. Father's Office is quickly becoming a regular stop for us on a night out!
R. M. (.
Chicken Burger was good ($20 Lunch Special) beer choices were underwhelming though.
S. T.
Good food, excellent special deals, but the best bit is that unlike many restaurants they do TRUE Gluten Free. They fry their fish and chips and other gluten free fried food in a fryer that doesn’t fry food containing gluten. Most other restaurants and cafes don’t do this but still erroneously label their food as being gluten free. Thank you Father’s Office!
T. K.
Great ambience & great bar. Perfect for after work drinks, and catch up with friends for a few pre-dinner drinks. We've even been there for work lunch and their pre order system worked great. Good menu options and decent selection of beers in tap. The place does get loud & can get quite packed on Fridays.
J. C.
Went here for my hens night this Saturday just passed and all I can say is the food and drinks where amazing but it was the stand out service from manager Andy that really sealed the deal for me. His table manner and all around personality was above and beyond anything I could have expected from a Speakeasy Bar. Andy is definitely the reason I will return in the future!! Cheers Andy!! Until we meet again!!! Thank you.
K. E.
Great happy hour pricing. Staff were pretty friendly. Except the main bartender.... when he got off work, he pushed in the queue of people to be served first. Must have been desperate for his post work whiskey.
M. B.
Excellent food. Great price. The atmosphere is great. We were served by Vanesa C, and she was lovely and attentive. Definitely coming back. Great. I had half rack ribs and a schooner of cider and Jim beam and coke, all for $19. Excellent!
P. M.
Nice drinks and good place for a social
J. D.
Absolute gem of a place with great staff, Especially Andrew (Andy) Who keeps the place alive. Guy deserves a medal for the effort he puts in at the venue. We have a regular catch up at the venue every Wednesday for Lunch and Fridays for Drinks. Great value lunch $15 for a meal and a pot.
I.
Amazing atmosphere and such friendly staff
Massive shout out to our waiter, Mikey.
Absolute legend!
S. R.
Spent the afternoon here and watched the bar go from a few people after lunch to a buzzing place in the evening, the atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly and kept us supplied with a variety of delicious and reasonably priced cocktails throughout the day. the food was reasonably priced too. Have made this a regular spot for casual drinks and yummy cocktails
R. Q.
A big bar with not much vibe. Kind of corporate feel. I thought would be more atmosphere. Expensive beer which is typical in the cbd. We were there early afternoon. Perhaps better at night
N. P.
The staff here are always hospitable and do whatever they can to facilitate a prompt and pleasant dining experience over lunch time.
The food is very tasty and good value for money.
J.
Great understanding of special dietary requirements. Helpful staff. Very busy. Best to book ahead. Can be noisy. The dining room is open plan and next to the bar.
B. R.
We went with a small group on a Saturday afternoon. The location is brilliant and quality of beverages were great. What didn’t work was that there were not enough staff on to take orders at the bar and then make the drinks. Coffees did not turn up, the systems in place do not support the staff to get the job done.
P. O.
I wouldn't describe this joint in anyway as a speakeasy nonetheless it is a great venue. Looks good, great atmosphere in a nice location with a fantastic balcony. Good assortment of drinks on offer and plenty of staff are onhand.
K. R.
Went on a Saturday night for drinks. The dance floor was hot. They played an eclectic mix of hiphop, electro, pop, and disco music the entire night. The crowd was game. Good fun. Affordable drinks and friendly staff members.
E. A.
Amazing service, spent my birthday their and a guy named Micky was looking after me and my group, thank you so much!
N. F.
Really good place for an after work drink, however, that comes with the territory of the post office work crowd - it can get very packed during happy hour, so do not expect a seat between 5-7 (happy hour)
Overall very cheap and good place to start your night off.
N. I.
Recommended by a local. The decor is interesting and that's where it ended. Most of their cocktails were pre made which is pretty weird and the air conditioning units are some 3D box units with oversized tentacles
B. O.
They habe 2 happy hours, 5 to 7 and 8 to 22. Super convenient, also food is ok. Good to spend couple of drinks after work, just across Melbourne central.
A. C.
Great place for a drink and watch the world go by
J. W.
Gluten free friendly with lots of choices, the scotch fillet was Amazing so tender and juicy.
10 out of 10 great staff.will definitely be back.
S. M.
Not a bad place.
The bar arrangement needs some work - people line up in front of the bar and then it's hard to move around. It does seem to take a bit too long to get a drink in this place. Indoor and outdoor seating is good.
C. R.
Happy hour specials are great! Great food and decor. DJs can be hit or miss but generally a good place to have a dance.
J. D.
NOT a speakeasy bar but none the less a great place to hang out after work. Happy hour makes it even better. Have never been disappointed by the staff service.
M. G. M.
The fathers office is a Melbourne Steak Restaurant and hip bar institution. The service always has lacked vigour, and probably will always remain poor. Nonetheless the food is exceptional and outstanding always, the value for money is amazing and the memories are always the fondest.
S. K.
Great buzz. It is always super busy. Good place to go as a group. Great happy hour cocktail options. Yummy finger food.
S. K.
Very nice Ambience and view from balcony is killer. you get confused if you wanna enjoy your drink inside or outside. one of the must visit bar in Melbourne. Warning: This place can get really busy.
A. F.
The food here is really high quality, the decor is quite unique and interesting and the rooftop bar section has a great view. This place is great to grab dinner and a quick couple drinks before you head out on the town.
S. L.
Great space, great food. Great staffs !! Kids friendly !
j. c.
Great food and drinks, very reasonably priced as well. Evenings are not as good as the day because it gets packed and the music gets turned up far too loud. But definitely a good place to go during the day.
P. S.
I went to Father's Office as it was just across the road from my work in the CBD and i had heard a lot about the place from my friends at work.
It was a Friday evening, Happy Hours and hence (understandably) crowded. Having said that we (2 persons) got a place to sit and enjoy our drinks and the food we ordered.
The chicken wings were better than the Pork and Chicken Skin Crackling Mix.
R. H.
Cosy environment and good balcony space. Somewhat expensive though. Around $25 for a jug of home brew. Can get better beer elsewhere $15/jug & still enjoy a cosy social scene
T. M.
Not bad. Not brilliant. Busy and vibrant with a nice buzz but loses out on attention to detail. Burger was barely luke warm. Wait staff didn't chrck drink refill orders with everyone at the table.
A. L.
Great location and great happy hour. Gets super busy during happy hour. Not much parking around so would suggest public transport. Has a separate smoking area outside, which is a plus.
N. A.
Great food, but a much younger crowd than I thought. I’m only 30 but felt 70 in the crowd.
M. D.
Love Father's Office! Great Happy Hour and amazingly cheap food. Recommend the popcorn chicken and polenta cubes! Classy decor and plenty of seating!
B. D.
Love love love going here. Always great music, staff and food. The outside varandah is a good spot to have a few drinks winter or summer. The cocktails are funtatic and the price is competitive for the city.
R. E.
Oh the spicy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce are something to experience...despite neither normally exciting me much...they really are amazing. Good vibe. Great open and indoor areas. Good crowd.
S. B.
We came here for lunch today, there was an issue with my chicken, mac and cheese dish on then $20 lunch deal, they apologetically replaced my food and gave us complimentary arancini balls without us asking for them which was nice. The food was great, nothing to complain about and prices fair. Will come again!
E. d.
Booked a party of 12. Service and food average. Not worth the $12.00 change they had the audacity to keep in the till and turn their back on giving back. Arrogance that wasn't backe up with quality.
We returned for a second 16th Birthday celebration but we will pass next time.
C. L. R.
Well well well. What a gem this place is. Staff, food, service were all great. It was extremely noisy due to the timber floors but honestly after a few beers, you will forget about. If you want something different, give it a go.
M. b.
Good staff. Happy hour prices are great but can be a bit pricy outside of the happiness. Lovely place for a Sunday sesh on the balcony.
C. N. D. G.
Lunch menu (Mon-Wed) is really good value for money. I organised pre-order reservation for 19 people and I didnt experience any hassles. True to their service.
h. j.
More beer barn than speakeasy. A 25 minute wait for drinks and an explanation instead of politeness when we queried means we won't go back. Oh and the maitre d was touching female staff inappropriately.
Z. W.
Delicious food and a great view of the State Library and Swanston Street. Conveniently nearby Melbourne Central Railway and a team stop for all your PT needs. Great place to catch up with a friend.
F. G. I. S.
If you want octals that rock this is the lace to be. We went for my brothers birthday and it was amazing, from the music to the drinks and cocktails it was great and music was just right. I would defiantly recommend it for a night out.
J. N.
Good food in the restaurant, good beer at the bar -- I loved the bartender's recommendation of the white rabbit dark ale when I asked for a dark beer, it was sweet and creamy.
Quite a corporate/classy vibe, but happy hour is good value in the restaurant.
T. A.
Good food, nice bar, conveniently located and pretty good prices. A little noisy at times and attracts a student crowd but that can be a plus or a minus.
R. P.
The place is very nice, has an balcony with heaters and a nice view. Prices are relatively high for cocktails but if you get there during the happy hours the price is ok.
A. C.
Wonderful meet-up spot in the centre of Melbourne! Yes, it becomes quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights, but that's understandable- just shows how goo this place is. Absolutely adore the décor and Speakeasy vibe- definitely one to visit again and again!
J. S.
All up had a good time, good food, booze was well priced. Lovely Atmosphere. I dropped a point because the music is so loud you have to yell to talk.
J. U.
A nice lunch spot that looks over Swanston Street. Has great lunch deals that are hard to pass up. Food is pretty average though and if you're ordering off the lunch menu it can be a bit pricy. The staff is always lovely though and are always willing to have a chat and help you out.
B. S.
Look what can I say, Will is the greatest asset this fine establishment has. Will's humour and people skills are second to none and my friends and I had an amazing experience with him. Give this man the world, he bloody well deserves it!
L. D.
Great service, meals, and drinks. Our server was Will and he made us feel welcome and very well looked after.
S. X.
Takes too long to serve any dish, and one dish is too little comparing to similar restaurants. However, 4 star for that lovely waitress who's so sweet and kind.
B. P.
Went there for my girls bday! Mike is the best manager! Took real good care of us! Hospitality is onnnn pointttt!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
A. C.
Cocktails are well made. (My standard here is Canberra where both Molly and another one made great Martinis with the most basic caterers olives. Here they were darkly green, perfect olives that I would serve at my fundraisers.)
A.
Good clean place, went for lunch not busy at all. Nice range of food for $20 lunch menu. Recommend it if you're in the area and want a good big burger and a beer
M. B.
Nash is a great employee and deserves a raise, he deals with patrons/customers better than most and needs a pay rise
D. B.
Great cocktails. Good menu with many choices. Friendly, attentive staff. Convenient location close to Melbourne Central station.
A. W.
Cool venue with cool staff serving cool cocktails. Music was a bit loud, but still cool. They also serve food here but I didn't try it this time. Looked cool though. Cool.
K. M.
When its busy in here its packed like sardines. Geeat selection of beer on tap, service can be exceptionally slow and it feels like either more staff, a better system of crowd control and just not letting too many people in all at once would be a good idea.
A. S.
We were very impressed with this find! Gluten free without a worry (for celiacs!) and EXCELLENT value. Great food at fabulous prices!
M. P.
This place was really enjoyable for lunch. The food was great, the service was good and the atmosphere was amazing. I loved the decoration and style almost as much as the food. Would definitely go back.
L. B.
Good place in the center of the city (next to State Library of Victoria) to have a drink and have a good conversation
p. w.
Great service. Even though the selection of tap beer is limited. The food is bang on.
Highly recommend booking a table during lunch.
K. J.
Great location to people watch, good friendly vibe but come on bar people - get your act together! 3 beers on tap - Not available, cider on tap ... not available and sorry Pina Colada - also not available. Bottled cider ... not available...
L. F.
A really nice and relaxed setting supplemented with great drinks and an inviting atmosphere. The arancini balls were delicious! Would definitely revisit.
J. M.
Real nice venue, excellent selection of drinks, food is of good quality, a little on the high side in terms of pricing for what they offer and the venue can often feel a little clinical, but for such a large space it's not really a downfall....outside balcony is great to sit out on, on a balmy night.
J. W.
The atmosphere here is lively but can get a bit loud. The beer battered fries are crispy and delicious. The other items I tried were solid but nothing to rave about.
A. W.
Nice selection of beers, cocktails and food, combined with a quaint "father's office" setting that overlooks Melbourne's iconic Swanston St and State Library courtyard. Music to compliment, loud enough to create a cool vibe, and quiet enough to have a conversation. Blink and you'll miss the entrance but worth the effort once you're chillin with a bevie and soaking up the view. Pretty sure I just met my future wife!
A. M.
Nice atmosphere and good cocktails
C. M.
Came here just after getting a tram fine and it was a great place to drink away my regrets. A+ atmosphere, cocktails and the music wasn't too loud to speak. Would recommend.
C. M.
Wednesday night all you can eat chicken wings is hands down the best thing happening in Melbourne right now. 4 different flavours of wing and some delicious fried cauliflower to avoid too much guilt is a recipe for a great night and Father's Office is nailing it. Great job!
M. H.
Cheap Monday eats are great. All the burgers are winners. One of the best lunch stops around. $15 lunch special comes with a schooner of beer.
J. W.
Wonderful meal (gluten free options galore). Awesome service and great venue. Beware the stairs to get up there if it's urgent first time.
B. l.
Love the venue, the outdoor has been renovated since the last time I went, it's a lot better and spacious, happy hours still amazing! Place to be for after work drinks!
N. M.
I come here on Wednesdays for the all-you-can-eat chicken wings, they make some amazing wings and some not so amazing wings, my favorite is the Kansas.
Father's office has an inside dining area, an inside bar and an outside balcony. It's loud and boring inside, but do try and secure a 'barrel' outside where you have a view over the state library, Melbourne Central and Swanson street.
A. T.
Great place for lunch with friends. Relaxing atmosphere, down-to-earth staff and a nice balcony area. Great food and options to cater for all dietary needs.
J. B.
Apart from the 'idea' of a speakeasy its not one. Its like someone took a speakeasy and mallot'd it like schnitzel until it could accommodate a large number of people. Was above ground and open aired. And mch like a large pub.
Food is ok though and a large, good choice of cocktails is available on a newspaper type menu.
The tables and tops need cleaning and stripping with acid to get rid of the disgusting sticky and smelly residue/dirt. That gets on your arms, hands, glasses etc
It does however have good outdoor views for you to enjoy people watching. #localguides
S. T.
The pop up stall at QV was exxy not worth it; atmosphere was fine.
J. T.
Good comfortable outdoor area for eating and seperate area for smoking. General nice vibe outside. Depending on day and time of night outside can get unnecessarily loud (also a very nice seperate ish dining area)
N. J.
I can say that fathers office is friendliest bar in Melbourne, everyone from the manager to the busboy will be your friend if you decide to hangout there. The entire team Shaun, Richard, Kiki, Valarie Sandeep were just the best at what they do. Even the cocktail mixer was so good, after all he had 7 years experience in cocktail mixing. They also had mouth watering food which just plays games with your taste buds. If you're visiting or living in Melbourne then I would suggest you to go to fathers office and you will not regret it.
P. P.
Nice big outdoor balcony area with heaters. Spacious indoor area with plenty of seats. Good drinks specials during happy hour.
J. S.
Cocktails were not being served on Sunday night despite being advertised as part of happy hour and shown on menus around the bar... Nice decor but still a disappointing visit.
S. “. 박.
The samplers!!!!! Good place to drink beer for hungry people
R. P.
Went on a Team lunch day.
Couple of folks had maroon burgers :P while I had the Fisherman's Bakset. As a seafood lover, I liked it.
A. K.
Great service and good cheap drinks. A nice vibe most nights of the week but you may want to come earlier in the week if crowds aren't your thing.
A. L.
Expensive but the happy hour worst it, awesome food and nice place to go with friends eat and drink. Really pretty inside but little bit messy outside
K. G.
Nice place, good for a beer in the afternoon, and cool as well at night with more people coming. Good drnk options, and a varied food menu too.
A. C.
Place was OK. standard roof top / balcony stuff with decent bar. Cocktail offering was a highlight. Can get very crowded after work.
a. m.
Definitely recommend a meal here. Lovely meals, catered for our dietary needs, for both kids and adults meals (including dessert!) and all for a very reasonable price.
M. A.
Good atmosphere, reasonable priced food and drink often on special. Can get a bit too crowded and loud music inside. But really nice anyway plus the balcony!
T. R.
Used to enjoy this place, but now they like to have their music at eardrum shattering volumes
I. M.
Great atmosphere and food is good too.
I.
GREAT VIBE AND SOME GOOD BAR FOOD AVAILABLE
This upstairs bar is popular with a younger crowd and the staff from City Campus of RMIT University (which is just up the road from the bar).
Can be noisy at times but the area is quite large and there is a range of different seating. The entrance is on Little Lonsdale St (not Swanston St). Sign above the door, right next to Strike Bowl.
Easy to get to if a tourist as it is right next to the Melbourne Central underground train station and trams run along Swanston street continuously.
B. C.
Love the atmosphere in this place. Funky music, great look, delicious drinks and such great food. Started a night here and didn't want to leave!
C. S.
Great happy hour deals. Lovely view of the library from the balcony.
K. M.
Awesome place, really fun, had a blast. Service was really good, Mike was great, really happy with his service
J. T.
Really lovely meal and gorgeous cocktails, Andy and the other staff were very attentive as well. Looking forward to going there again!
T. B.
Reasonable priced drinks and very good food choices. From steaks and burgers to poke bowls and parmas. Good Bar Food 👍👍👍👍👍
S. B.
Good little spot for drinks and food, nice on the balcony. Insiden feels a little awkward, and the music just that little to loud and cheesy to be enjoyable (for me)
K. (.
When it's not completely packed and not windy outside its fantastic, great happy hour cocktails, and beers on tap, the new York sour in particular is perfect.
s. d.
Been once and the food was fantastic. The drinks were cheap. All in all a good place to dine and drink.
A. H.
Nice meal.
J. D.
Good selection of beers on tap in a comfortable setting. Tried the food as well and enjoyed the different flavours of chicken wings.
F. I.
Terrific chicken wings, very accommodating stuff and gave us free drinks for a friend's birthday! Highly recommended
A. C.
Please please bring back the GF parmigiana on uber eats :/ you’re the only place I can oder that’s gf... really guttered it’s not available any more... it’s the best!! It’s great for work as my lunch time doesn’t allow me to come down :/
D. W.
Pretty damn good burgers! Would like to see some other craft beer on tap, less contracted rubbish. Get a couple of independent taps and support your locals, guys.
C. J.
The speakeasy aspect is bit watered down nonetheless the place has one of the best happy hours in the city. The staff is friendly too.
S. G.
Great service, good food, dedicated cooking area for gluten free. Little hard to find, but worth effort.
Good lunch prices on wednesday!
S. A.
Its really a nice place for hangouts in melbourne CBD & can sit in balcony view where you can have fun by seeing everythng and busy life of Melbourne people & street artists. In weekend time we can enjoy a lottttt......
S.
Nice food and good beer, happy hour is awesome. Busy trendy place.
P. B.
Great place to have a drink with a nice view on the SLV. Hard to find a spot outside but the happy hour deals are great
R. C.
The place has a really good atmosphere, the food was really good, and the drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced!
R. G.
Cool place, knows what theme it wants and has the staff dressed same way. The food and drink specials are so good for value!
K. F.
The experience was underwhelming as we were rushed to order as a big group were due to arrive. The food was value and used a number of different combinations that was thoroughly enjoyable.
B. F.
Awesome little bar .. staff super friendly and my eyes are sore from the hotties!!!
Y. Q.
♡ A Fathers Office is where Kids are allowed to Run Wild and Free no matter The 'Importance' of what Father is Currently Engaged In; this Venue has such a Philosophy...Father's Office is Relaxed and attracts a Mix of Students, Professionals, Tradies, Own Staff, Tourists and Regulars; the food and drink options are many and The Staff ARE Fantastic 😀
...♡♡♡...
P. S.
Good drinks place. Food is a bit overpriced for what you get
A. W.
$20 lunch and drink deals make for a fantastic work lunch. The portions are filling and tasty. The staff are prompt and friendly.
R. W.
Will the legend was an amazing waiter, the bottomless dinner lived up to its name. #dinning #winning
A. H.
Decent place for a drink. Can get crowded and very noisy inside, but has a nice outdoor area that's less loud.
E. I.
Great salads and cocktails
C. M.
Great place. I would suggest to have the lunch menu Monday-Thursday-Wednesday for $15 (main + beer), excellent!!
m. p.
Fantastic place... good meat platter... and beer mug...enjoyed the late 90’s music playing in the background for a while
T. T.
Although noisy, this place has an excellent atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. There is an extensive (and tasty) gluten free menu.
P. C.
A pretty good place to have a drink or 2 the best time to take advantage is before 10 pm as the drinks are very cheap and after 10 the drinks increase 30 per cent my advise is get there early
G. S.
Good happy hour and fun crowd. The staff was a bit overwhelmed bu the size of the crowd wanting service...
K. G.
Good little bar & restaurant. They have some cheap daily specials & happy hour offers. Great selection of drink too.
K. A.
$15 Lunch deal on mon/tue/wed...cannot go wrong....haven't managed to go past the angus rump steak and beer but do mean to try the burger and the burrito soon enough....
Add to that the great service by Andy and his team....
We have made this place the new venue for a weekly office team lunch and I chose this place to catch with friends and colleagues too
K. B.
Great bar especially on a summer's afternoon large assortment of local and international beers wine spirits and cider very friendly staff and easy on the eye patrons
a.
Great atmosphere and decent staff, the security are constantly rude but the place as a whole is lovely for simple drinks after work or a group party like a birthday.
L. T.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent service from the accommodating Will, fantastic drinks too!
A. B.
The food and drinks here are good. It was a little quiet and lacking in atmosphere when we visited, but it was boxing day, so everyone else was busy shopping.
K. D.
Excellent service! Great graffiti from the rooftop too!

For some reason, no-one in father's office knows how to turn down the music during lunch. So if you like to be deafened, like to yell ay people over the table it's the perfect place for you
D. S. C.
Love this place for its vibes, location, amazing staff and arrangements. Perfect for dine and drink date. Not expensive either.

I've given a 5 star rating bcos food was good and service was good.. however, at the end of the nite we were presented with a drinks bill for $57.. which was a definite stuff up bcos most people went to the bar and a couple ordered drinks at the table and paid the waiter when the drinks were brought.. A definite spoil of a good nite..

The service has been consistently excellent, unfortunately I'm unable to say the same for the food. The all you can eat wings deal is of questionable value, but a fun novelty nonetheless.
