Wow! Hungry Jacks Latrobe what can I say?... Amazing work by an awful team of staff delivering the highest quality service and minimal efficiency for both the customers but not the store. Will never come back. Love it!

Went in to try the rebel whopper which contains no meat and was made from plants. It did not look like the picture in the windows, but none of them really do. The whopper was quite tasty and, I would say, just like a beef one. The patties themselves did not look flame grilled. Next time I will probably just get the normal whopper. What I don’t like are the small packets of sauce. They are so hard to open and it is impossible to get out all of the ketchup. You need 3 or 4 packets for even a small serving of fries. Why not have containers with pumps on the counter? This would save on the packaging and be more convenient. I also note that, unlike some places, they still have plastic straws.

The food is good but always cold even when we order a special burger without some ingredients. Most of the time they forget to remove the pickles in the burger, what about if we’re allergic ?? The chips are good but please too much salt 🧂 !!!

A regular spot people go for a 1-dollar coffee after working or class in RMIT University. The coffee is pretty basic but it is worth a dollar.

Reviewing cos food was good but also reviewing five stars because when I came in with my gf she was crying a bit, not a huge issue but enough to be noticed. She was explaining to me what was wrong through tears. It was during her crying that one of the staff at HJ's came over and handed her tissues and offered her a hug. We really appreciate the kindness she showed. If you were the one that helped us, I hope you know we're really thankful for your actions. For those curious, my order was a chicken Royale with large chips. $3.10 + $2.00 in that order. Chips were great as usual, burger was decent, couldn't taste as much salad as I would have liked but would order again. I also got a mocha from the shake and win, which was delicious. Would recommend it.

👍🏻 who manages this location is incredibly professional and cares about the customer experience. The bathrooms are clean. The trash is taken out. He made an effort to interact with the customers and their families. I honestly have nothing but respect for his commitment to a job that many people would look down upon. I wish him and this business the best of success.

I went at 4am with my ticket to the South East Melbourne Phoenix game. They have a free cheeseburger promo if the visiting team misses consecutive free throws. I was very drunk and really needed the cheeseburger to give me sustenance to remember how to get home. So thanks HJs Latrobe St, gold star.

Nifty power stations with USB outlets for chargeups on the shiny new veneer tables! Staff seems friendly. I was served my order super fast. There are couches for lounging in and seated areas that are more traditional of a burger joint. This store now features a little coffee area where you can buy your tea and coffee, made by a barista and you're served seperately, so you're order is expediated and kept chip-free. Lots of tourists enjoying themselves in groups, lots of people just eating their food alone. Many different spaces to serve this in one small store. Seems to flow very well and doesn't feel stepped or blocked. They make an ok burger too.
