A. S.Ipsos is a very relaxed yet intimate Greek restaurant that is great for couples, families and more. Beautiful Greek cuisine done very well, with quality ingredients and some new flavour combinations. Good serving sizes and save room for dessert too! Wine list is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable enough to direct you to matching wines too. Staff are friendly, attentive and service is quick and timely. Highly recommended this place and we'll be back! Gray atmosphere
L. S.Obviously masks are optional for staff - if you aren’t interested in protecting your customers then perhaps you don’t need to check patrons vaccination status. Yes the lamb was nice and the beetroot side dish was good too but I expected something special from an authentic Greek restaurant. Can you also consider more comfortable chairs. I wouldn’t rush back in spite of the obvious popularity.
J. E.I desperately wanted to give this restaurant a five star review. Their calamari was fantastic and flavourful. Their wine and beer selection was impeccable. The roast potatoes may be the best I’ve ever had. Two let downs: our lamb back strap special was too small for what we both paid and were looking for. This dish could’ve been perfect by making it slightly larger. The second was masks. Staff were either not wearing masks at all or not wearing them properly fitted. Overall, a good meal in a stunning restaurant with quality service.
J. H.The food here is very good, we were extremely impressed and satisfied. I haven’t eaten Greek in Melbourne which was as authentic as this. Greeted into the restaurant by staff opening the door for us and on the way out which was a nice touch. The waitress with the short shaved hair was incredible, so attentive and helpful with the menu and suggested things we could have. She saw we had eaten all our bread but still had dip left and brought us over more bread! It’s those little touches which made the experience wonderful I wish I got her name. Also, the crispy potatoes are the best I’ve ever had and would highly recommend!

C. T.Service was good and food was nice. We loved the chef's special, it was delicious. However we found the octopus to be a bit on the chewy side, and the cured ocean trout had some bones which was unpleasant.
Having said that, we will still give it another go when we head to Lorne again.

The food is always fresh, seasonal and so delicious with an incredible wine list. Staff are friendly and helpful with suggestion. My favourite way to order is to leave it to them with the "feed me" option.

J. T.If you’re anywhere around the area and can get a booking, this is a must visit. We went with the tasting menu for $60 each (for 2) and it was the highlight of our trip. We had to take a nap in the car afterwards, this is not one of those meals where you start thinking about snacks 20 mins later.

Top ingredients, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, great location is now than you can ask for. Expect to pay $60-$70 per person for I've drink and a main dish.

P. F.We ordered the slow-cooked lamb shoulder. It was delicious with the meat falling off the bone. It comes with lovely hazelnut sauce, which we cleaned up, and a garden salad which was tasty.
The service was friendly and prompt and the prices were reasonable.
Pleasingly, the restaurant has had acoustic treating, meaning it isn't noisy and therefore suitable for those hard of hearing. As many restaurants don't bother with this and are consequently so noisy you can't hear what your fellow guests are saying, I thought this worth pointing out.
Note that this restaurant has three steps to enter, so not suitable for those in wheelchairs.

P. H.Crispy pork belly with a type of Kumquat reduction, deconstructed Moussaka and Saganaki with pear and caramelized walnuts. This is modern Greek Cuisine! A far cry from chicken Souvlaki or pork Gyros and absolutely delicious. Don't get me wrong, Pork Gyros makes my mouth water just thinking about it but if you want something different but still familiar and something fancy which doesnt break the bank, come here! Service and atmosphere are also great!

J.Yeah, strong place, was jammed tight on a Monday night in November and easy to see why. Food is excellent, not cheap, but fast, efficient and polite service, deffo the most professional restaurant in Lorne that we encountered. Their pork and lamb, grilled cheese and veggies were delicious. Decent wine list, only gripe was not much by the glass, but they do carafes. Owner very much in the mix too and very little wait for food as well. Slightly smaller menu but the options are all good so no issue.

A. A.Ipsos is a unique find in gorgeous Lorne and rounds out the areas culinary offerings with its interesting interpretations of Greek cuisine. Not your typical ostentatious tavern with slabs of fetta and tri-dip smatterings delivered by mature waiters who’ve been doing it for too long! It’s menu is interesting but not long with the right balance of seafood and meats whilst catering for vegetarians as well. The lightly dusted calamari with body and legs intact was melt in the mouth and the sour edge of the salsa verde was a perfect accompaniment. The kefalograviera pan fried with roasted quince and candied walnuts was a wonderful use of seasonal product and elevated this typical dish to another level. However there are some ingredients sacred to traditionalists, like the grilled octopus, and here this hero Greek dish was overwhelmed by a hummus that took away the raw flavours of the sea. Not too mention the steep price for barely 100gms. This was soon forgotten when the slow cooked lamb, potatoes and seasonal horta (mixed blanched greens) arrived - simply superb. Finally all 3 deserts were a perfect finish to our Greek festa by the sea. Congratulations to the team at Ipsos for great food and service.

T. C.Easily the best food and atmosphere of any restaurant down the coast. I can’t think of a time I’ve left disappointed. Last visit we ordered the flathead tails, eggplant dip, little mushroom filo and the grilled Greek cheese. All were amazing. Great wine list to go with it and staff all super helpful. Top night all round

The staff are all very friendly and properly understand the importance of gluten free meals. Slightly pushy trying to up sell us wine and bread (obviously we didn't want that), but helpful nontheless.

T. K.Fantastic Restaurant, had dinner here Saturday night with my wife. This is the second time we have been here and is now one of our favourite Restaurants. Plenty of food, fantastic service, great venue with alot of happy people around the place. As usual we over ate but had to try the crispy pork belly along with the usual slow cooked lamb, it's up there with the best I have ever eaten. The owners and staff are fantastic people and very welcoming and being Greek myself I was welcomed like a long lost cousin lol. We finished off the night with a few beers and cocktails and enjoyed the vibe the Restaurant gave. Do yourself a favour and visit Ipsos but do book in advance. Till next time Kali Orexi.
J. C.I arrived in Lorne for the evening after taking my mum on a little tour of Australia after not seeing her for 3.5 years. We heard this restaurant was good, but still had a little walk to see what else there was down the strip...I advise you all not to! Just go to this restaurant and save yourself the walk! Possibly the most amazing restaurant I've ever been to! Fantastic food, incredible service (I manage a restaurant and this is a standard I now need to live up to) and an awesome experience! Every single person was lovely and knew the menu inside out! Dom was bloody lovely and recommended an incredible wine, not only that, he then saw our sorry arses walking down the street and offered to give us a lift home, all I can say is thank god as that would have been a good 20 minute walk back to our accommodation in the rain. Could not speak more highly of this place and am so glad we went there. Will definitely be back!!! Also the Kefolograveira is to die for...as is the ouzo!

After paying $110 for 2. I think you should be able to walk away feeling full. Won't dismiss the food quality though it was great. (Hence still the 4 stars)
I part I didn't like was the owner getting in the way of the waiters doing their job. One table had 3 different waiters attend to take an order because(owner) was too involved confusing everyone including his son who was also taking orders.

Not to mention Mario’s favourite gin martini’s are always spot on. Don’t go past Ipsos as your choice of Restuarant when in Lorne .

Lead by the owner Dominic, who we've had the pleasure to meet and chat with everytime we go, the team have managed to make of Ipsos a little culinary gem on the Great Ocean Road that is not to be missed.
