We stopped on our way to SA, and so glad we did. Tasty pies and sausage rolls to pop in our Travel Buddy oven for lunch on the road, and the best caramel slice we’ve ever eaten. Good coffee too. A great little gem.

Was staying local for the weekend and was told to check the place out. The staff were under the pump for Saturday dinner rush. We ordered a traditional chicken souvlaki and sweet chicken wrap for dinner and a strawberry milkshake. Though under the pump, the staff greeted everyone really well. Wrap and souvlaki were cooked really well and were delicious. The cafe had a good selection of pizzas, burgers and fish and chips. Local healthy Ice cream collection was something we couldn't try. Multiple type of Macarons were also available and were delicious. If back, would come back and try some of their other offerings.

We stopped in for takeaway lunch, on the way back to SE Melbourne. We ordered a steak sandwich, two kids cheese burgers, an Angus burger and min chips with Chicken salt. There was a wait line which made us a bit nervous with hungry kids but they certainly delivered on everything. The steak and burgers were big and the tastiest we’ve had in a very long time, the salads used were fresh and the chips were buttery, hot and well seasoned. Everything appeared fresh and clean. We were told a 15 min wait and, while we looked at the line and thought that might be ambitious, the food was up in that time. We were so happy that we went back for ice cream! The staff were friendly while under the pump and we left happy and full! Great value, will definitely stop in if we’re up that way again.

We dropped in for a late morning breakfast after receiving some recommendations from friends. Whilst the foods we ordered was good, the service was great, and a very good selection of ready made or make to order foods was available it didn't quite meet my anticipated expectations. The vegetarian breakfast was a little short on some items especially the spinach. Maybe I'm just a little fussy these days after experiencing many other restaurants/cafes. If the owners read this I would also recommend changing the brand of drinking chocolate powder, it is pretty ordinary. That aside, I would return there and be specific about what I wanted on my plate. As I said, selections if house made foods, cakes and sweets was great and the ambiance of sitting area with the wood fire warming both room and soul was good. If you do drop in check out their pies and pasties, they looked yummy! My wife enjoyed her Friande also. There was a constant flow of customers while we were there and very few plates returned to the kitchen with leftovers on them.

This place was buzzing (in a very quiet little town) at 9.30 in the morning. Very good coffee. We didn't have the chance to eat there - which was a pity as the food on display looked quite wonderful. Will certainly go back if we are in town again. Pity they don't do dinner (other than pizza, apparently) as we loved the meal we had at its sister restaurant in Koroit a year ago.

If you are visiting the Grampians and travelling through Dunkeld, Izzy's is a great spot to stop and grab a bite to eat, coffee or an icecream cone. During peak times they do get quite busy, be kind and show patience, the food is worth waiting for. They have a lovely selection of foods and sweets to choose from and a choice to eat inside or at one of the tables at the front and sides of the Cafe.

We pit stopped on our way home from Robe SA, the best hamburgers we’ve had in a long time! Totally recommend to detour past for lunch, dinner or just to eat!! Next time we’re in the area will be stopping to try the pies. They looked yummy!!

Very pleased with the food from Izzy's. Being vegetarian, we were amazed at the selection of food available to us (most towns have only one option if we are lucky!). The pea and zucchini fritters were delicious, and we also enjoyed the egg salad, the spinach and ricotta roll and the tomato and halloumi quiche. Wouldn't hesitate to return on our next trip through.

Coffee excellent (although the cup it was served in was a bit naff). The breakfast came pretty slow as there only seamed to be one guy doing the cooking and the coffee. Then it came with fried eggs after we ordered scrambled. The muffin was no better than the super market bulk pack. Not impressed.

Had a pizza (I can’t remember the name but it was like a supreme) which was really nice with lots of ingredients on top and a tasty crust. Very nice . We had it to go but the cafe looked nice to dine in.

Staff were busy making lunches for the school when we arrived. Chips a bit soggy, sausage rolls in the pie warmer not available for customers. Quiche looked great but when warmed up in a min to wave went all soggy and rubbery. Bit disappointed.

Izzy's cafe is an outstanding little haven tucked in the middle of the town called Dunkeld in Victoria. We stopped here on our way to Mt Gambier from Melbourne - hungry and tired and oh boy! What food, what coffee and what service. Such courteous hosts who happily arranged special meal for us as we couldn't find one that suited us.. the variety of food is amazing and we would highly recommend anyone who stops in this town to check this cafe out and share some love and support with the owners!

When you come in you can order at the counter, and take your food with you which i think is nice. The coffee was great! So were the tea, cake and the hedgehog! Nice and friendly staff as well!

Rather expensive and fish and chips from here is way overrated..as it was rubbery and not worth what we paid for. They only sell pizza from 5pm onwards which is a pain. Chips is not too bad but small serving sizes

We could not recommend Izzys more. Sam and her team are sensational. The food is exceptional and is always so tasty and fresh. There is so much love and care that goes into their food preparation and service. It’s a must stop on our way to our destination and we ALWAYS buy as many of their home made slices (Lemon slice, melting moments and carrot cake are a must!), biscuits and cakes as they are fresh and not store bought and the quality is next level. Also highly recommend their Schnitzel burgers (again, all home made) as they are soooo good! The team are so welcoming and they do an amazing job running the place. Keep up the amazing work guys!

We passed through Dunkeld on our way south from Halls Gap and stopped for lunch at Izzy's Cafe. The experience was beyond our expectations of a cafe in a small town. I am gluten and dairy free and have rarely enjoyed a toasted sandwich prepared to my specific needs as much as the one at Izzy's. My husband's 'normal' sandwich and coffee were perfect too, in his opinion. The sandwiches, coffees and milkshakes were simply delicious, so much so that, on our way home from Hamilton, we passed through Dunkeld again and stopped for another taste of Izzy's. The Cafe is cozy and the atmosphere welcoming, the menu extensive, the prices reasonable and the service is warm and friendly. We had the added privilege of enjoying an interesting chat with Sam, business owner, and a fascinating philosophical discussion with her mother, Rita. We would certainly visit Izzy's again and heartily and unreservedly recommend Izzy's Cafe to all locals and visitors. Show less

This place has one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had! Cooked to perfection, if you're hiking the Grampians for the weekend be sure to check it out. Really friendly staff and don't forget the sweets, the peanut butter and caramel slice is amazing, good fuel for another hike.

Nice food. Had the BBQ burger which was quite nice. Only downside is that the chips we had were not salted or cooked enough. If a place is to sell hot chips, expectations for most people are usually quite high. There is also a good amount to choose from on their menu.

I had travelled to Dunkeld with a mind to eat in the pub which has an excellent reputation however the pub is shut on Sundays, of course?????? I found Izzy’s and was so happy. Fresh salad and a quiche. I’ll be here for breakfast to try their coffee.

Good place to stop over when you need a meal on the road. Cool decor in the store, and the food is pretty good. I sort of think their biggest strength and weakness both at the same time, is the range of products. I get suspicious when a shop sells both burgers and souvlakis at the same time, for instance. But they also sell many packaged goods. Also, the preparation always takes a long time. But it's worth it in the end.

I did not get to eat at the resteraunts however i ran out of petrol quiet close to the cafe and when asked for assistance the staff were polite and understanding. One even offered to provide petrol from there own property but had none left after calling husband. Cannot be more impressed after my short encounter in this town. After a climb and a rambling weekend in the Grampians my mate and I headed to Dunkeld on a mission for a ‘burger and chips’. We chose Izzy’s, however we didn’t get that burger.... No, we were so impressed by the food on display that we couldn’t help ourselves but get the salads!, ..and chips of course! They were delicious and satisfying and hit the spot. I’ll go back for an Izzy’s burger next time😉

I ordered a hamburger (quite good) very good and abundant potatoes, but there are more options salads, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. Good value for money, perhaps lack of staff, even so they treated us perfectly. There is little offer in the town, it seems to me a very good choice (Original) Muy buena opción para desayunar, comer o cenar. Yo fui a cenar, llegamos tarde y cansados, casi a punto de cerrar nos dejaron pasar y pedir. Pedí una hamburguesa(bastante buena) patatas muy buenas y abundantes, pero hay más opciones ensaladas,pizzas, sándwiches, etc. Buena relación calidad precio, quizás falta personal, aún así nos atendieron perfectamente. Hay poca oferta en el pueblo,está me parece muy buena elección
