went during the grand opening period (24th of april-2021) on a whim looking to be adventurous with my group of friends, we were greeted by a old staircase, leading to an empty dining room greeted by a very friendly manager, waiting and managing while the chef did his thing. we were seated at a very long table and the atmosphere was amazing, no music, just our voices in the beautiful acoustics of the near silent room. anyways food was really good for the price and servings are almost american.

Went during the down time. Most of the food we tried were great, though I would stay away from the tofu. Serving size are good for buffet, service and atmosphere are a plus.

Ok for a one off visit. The food is fresh and well made, with a good variety for an all you can eat, and while the staff will never be accused of being overly attentive or effusively friendly, they get the job done. Be a good stop for a large group of friends on a social get together.

Wonderful food, plenty to choose from the all you can eat as well as sake or wine, quick efficient service. Seating is mildly cramped and room a little too warm. No access for disabled as just stairs. Toilets weren't perfect but usable. Try the plum wine, it's worth it.

Not bad, the ice-cream and tempura were great but not many choices of sushi or desserts and the hot plates such as fried noodles was little bit salty. BTW, the decoration is dated and those plastic cups are awful and not convenience for any pram or wheelchair as it is on the 1st floor.

A lot of people wrote about rude staff which I didn’t experience. It might not be as fake enthusiastic as other restaurants, but I experienced friendliness from all staff. There are a lot of choices of food and for an all you can eat restaurant with that price, it’s a good deal. You get what you pay for and I enjoyed the food, some of it is authentic, some generic. But all in all, good experience. Would recommend the restaurant if you’re not too picky about everything :)

this was hand downs the best restaurant i have ever been too. the beef was so tender and the octopus balls were so creamy it basically melted in my mouth, i think the manager or owner was so nice. the green tea was amazing and i loved the sushi platter. coming again very soon!!!

Took my son to Tokyo Japanese and we had the all you can eat option and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and for 2 hours we felt like kings. You simply pick what you would like and they make it fresh for you, each time you choose a dish it is made. Great value, I will be back with the rest of the family and I strongly recommend this restaurant, a must try is the miso beef.

All you can eat Japanese style restaurant located on the second floor of a busy junction. While definitely not Japanese run, food is not bad and dishes do come reasonably quickly once ordered. Good choice if you're hungry and wants huge quantity of food !

Went there for the all you can eat at lunch time straight from the train station as I was starving... The girls were really kind to me and offered to hold my luggage while I went to the bank for some cash (better if you pay cash :) I am a seafood lover so ordered 'cold food' and it was served straight away! It was fresh and yummy... Plus it was unlimited times except for the salmon sashimi (fair enough, nothing in life is free). 30$ for this satisfaction was a great deal, taking in count that they also have to make a profit out of it ;)

This place is a hidden treasure. The dinner all you can eat option is a great deal for only $29. The environment in the restaurant is quite simple but unless you mind that, the food is quite worth. There is nothing too special or a wow dish. However for that price you can't go wrong. The dishes we ordered were reasonably good (most of them). Don't order the fried chicken. You will get fined if you waste more than 200g of food. Make sure you eat everything. The good thing is that the portions are quite small. The bad thing is that if you order something you don't like, you are stuck with it.

Good value, food is very decent considering the price. Staff are extremely passive aggressive and could stare down even the most rampant Karen. They also require you to pay before you eat. They were quite perturbed that I didn't have a booking however I had tried to book and the site wasn't working. Wouldn't return, just go to a sushi train.

Terrible service, we had the all you can eat in 2 hours. We had to order things over 4 times before they brought it out. But the Japanese table next to us seemed to get a lot of the food we had ordered. When we brought it to the staff members attention, they said they can't be wrong because they order on place cards. They must have written down the wrong table number each time or didn't look when delivering the food. Would recommend other Japanese restaurant's over this one like Kenzan @ Collins Place, they are amazing.

The food was really good. We went here on a weekday dinner so we had the buffet at $29.8 per pax. I didn’t have problem with the staff. They are very accommodating, especially the middle-aged lady who smiled all the time and has even thanked us with enthusiasm. I liked that they even allowed us to charge our phones for free. We felt the Japanese vibe of the resto. The only problem with the place was the smell of the toilet. They could at least sprayed something to make it fragrant. Another problem was the dessert, it is an all you can eat resto but they only serve one ice cream. The sesame ice cream was a to-die-for but I concluded my meal there with so much craving coz they don’t serve more than one. They should have at least served us one each flavour of the ice creams, we could have tasted the green tea ice cream. Otherwise, I’ll make this rating a 4-5 star if these issues will be resolved.

Went for lunch in July 2019 with a groupon for 2 people all you can eat. A third person came along and ordered ala carte. No problems in this regard or other admin stuff like booking. Food was plenty good quality for an all you can eat. Teriyaki beef was the best of the bunch perfectly cooked and subtle yet balanced flavours. Fried rice was had a big serving so be careful lest you pay extra for leaving waste. Satisfying experience overall. Would recommend.

The food variety is a fair but reasonable one given the price you pay for all-you-can-eat buffet. Teppanyaki beef cubes, Miso beef and Takoyaki are must-try. Chawanmushi is not good enough if you consider it as a staple item in any Japanese restaurant. For service wise, sometimes it’s slow and waitress forgotten to submit your order electronically. But they are kind enough to go check it out. The place is clean and kid-friendly.

Strongly recommend the all you can eat option, tons of excellent food and very quick to arrive, so you can definitely eat your fill! Menu has pictures which makes it easy to see what you're ordering. The Groupon with free sake is great, each person gets their own sake flask and it's actually very tasty.

The selection of dishes is acceptable but I wish the sashimi was fresher. I have been there a few times and maintain the raw tuna and salmon could be server fresher as they look stale at times. A $109 coupon for 4 people all-you-can-eat deal is quite reasonable.

The buffet menu had very limited options, even the avocado sushi wasn't in that menu. The wine was served in small wine glasses, and seemed like it was diluted with water. Miso soup wasn't warm at all and the restaurant cleanliness was average.

Food is good but I think there might not be enough staff on the floor for service We had to wait 10 minutes to get a "I don't have the ordering tool" The story continues when the staff member did not get someone else to help us but just walked off. It’s all you can eat for about $29. You pay for drinks in too if this. I’ve been here twice and will return. It’s bit 5 star and you shouldn’t expect 5 star for this price. The staff are friendly but English is their second language so expect some confusion when ordering. If you’re looking for Rhodes Scholars to take your order and Michelin start food go where you can’t afford. Good place. Located near Melbourne central station. Nice staff. Good food.
