Food was flavourful and fresh (Garlic prawns is a must try), wait staff friendly and fantastic. Would recommend this place for a bite to eat if you're in the area.

Overall not to bad, however the ambience has somewhat left from the old LaPorchetta. Somewhat dull, all of the history has gone. The walls need to change as they are quite plain and pale. Really needs to be rivatilized as quickly as possible as we come out of covid into the norm, otherwise business turnover will not increase. Word spreads very quickly and diners will migrate elsewhere. Also the pizza dough was very dry and crusty, get on top of that very quickly !!! Service was great, but please take note of the above comments LaPorchetta management.

Nice to go to the original. Not as good value as it was 25 yrs ago when Rocky was running it. Simple,easy predictable food.Nothing fancy. Was in a hurry on the way to work,easy parking,love the street nice vibe. Took only 10 minutes to make pizza. Ate half in the resteraunt and enjoyed the other half for dinner the next night. 🤗

Definitely the best La Porchetta around. Decor is dated, like an old school Italian restaurant from the glory days of Lygon st. Relaxed and fun, with the staff making sure that our needs where met. No split bills but that's ok as there's an ATM literally right outside.

First time visitor here. Early dinner at La Porchetta. Meals were nice and generous in portion size. Price not bad for inner city meal. The atmosphere i imagine must be fantastic when its full of people. The pictures all over the walls and ceilings really add character and tell a sorry about the place. Its a credit to the owners who i believe have been there for a while. I also believe its the first La Porchetta opened. Will definitely come back.

Nice tasting pasta and delicious garlic bread, but nothing particularly special. The interior decor is also quite disappointing as they have renovated in recent years and removed a lot of the classic old feeling of the restaurant.

Amazing service and excellent food. The restaurant wad very cleaned and food was made quickly considering it's hand made. Besdies, the walls and roof are are adorned in photos and trinkets which paint the vibrant past of the first La Porchetta. Again, can't recommend it enough.

Perhaps one of the best pizza restaurants in Melbourne, non-greasy authentic family owned pizza restaurant serving delicious, chewy dough based pizzas and pastas and a fantastic range of desserts and super cheap gelato options. I come here often, super friendly customer service. The Pizza's and the salads are great, espiecially the Chicken Caesar Salad, it's simply 💯. They've got a lot of photos on their walls of famous people and family and friends. Really good family vibes, perfect for a family dinner out.

OMG! Closed for renovations. Finally the place is being renovated! The tradies sure have their work cut out... Gone are the hideous laminated selfies, the walls are finally being painted. Hope they replace the foul old toilets too! We'll see what things are like after they reopen.

The food is great, but the service standards has since dropped over the years, with staff unable to remember your requests. Parking available on-street, however do check the street signs as the council parking inspectors can be rather ruthless.
