Had the Bottomless brunch here last weekend. Probably one of the best ones we’ve tried (we’ve been to a few). Staff were soo friendly! Large variety of food options! Drinks service was a lot quicker than most bottomless brunch places. Highly recommend! Will definitely be returning.

Went here for a night out with my girlfriends, we had the best time ! The yummiest of cocktails, we tried most and love them all. Highly recommend the fruit tingle will not be disappointed. Food came out hot and very pleased with the way all meals were presented. Everyone on the table was happy with all the meals and lovely service we received by the waiters/waitresses & staff. 5/5 will definitely recommend and will return in future !

Do yourself a favour and visit the Left Bank. Went down for a few drinks recently and some food, and the atmosphere was amazing. The menu is quite extensive and the food was absolutely amazing and well-presented. The cocktails are unquestionably delicious. The staff really cares about your experience and the service was also prompt. I'd love to come back here and would highly recommend this place for someone looking for a fun night out!

It is a place for great cocktails and decent music with a bit of high class vibe. I loved my water melon, white chocolate cocktail. Food was fresh but I didn’t like the combination of salmon and the salad. Gnocchi was quite bland as well for the $$ price. I went there for a family celebration so got to try several other dishes too. So, I wouldn’t go there for meals but definitely for the drinks again

Absolutely love this place, vibe & ambience. Love their drinks menu. A lot of thought has been put behind crafting a seriously good cocktail menu. Food was good. Desserts are a highlight. Only reason for one less star is not many vegetarian or vegan options.

The Left Bank never disappoints. Each dish was served with flair. Little touches like pumpkin seeds and spice added to the smoked aubergine hummus. The pizzas are fabulous. Sarah and Sophie looked after us and both were diligent and delightful. Highly recommended yet again.

Great location. Food was tasty, enjoyed the chicken. I don't get restaurants using the QR codes for ordering. Spent half the money I would usually spend because it is pain going on your phone each time. Good service anticipates the customers needs and respond accordingly. QR code restaurants must see a loss of revenue. On that, I think due to the QR Code, service was non existent. Apart from food and drink being plonked on the table, there was zero follow up. Had to request water, salt and pepper and not once were we asked how our meals were.

Had our work Christmas party for 2021 at Left Bank last night and the all the staff from events management right through to the the wait staff went over and above to look after all 25 of us. Upon arrival we’re greeted immediately and drinks were already waiting. To please 25 people would be hard, compliments to the chef who nailed every course ! Would definitely recommend getting the platinum package, you will not be disappointed. Special mention to Ethan and KJ our wait staff who were amazing. Left Bank I think are the best at what they do to provide an atmosphere that keeps you wanting more. Will definitely be coming back for our next function. Great Job !!

The last supper before 4.0 lockdown. The place is fabulous overlooking Yarra River. The wines and beers kept coming from the tab with all of us enjoying the chilling atmosphere of Southbank. I enjoyed the twice cooked pork belly especially the crackling of the skin as my entree. The scotch fillet followed afterwards with garden salad and chips as sides. The creme caramel was the star of the menu with its lovely and consistent flavour.

We had our Valentine's dinner here. The service was great and really accommodating so five stars for the wait staff. I guess we just didn't realise that Left Bank had a particular atmosphere and it wasn't what we were really looking for for Valentine's Day. The music was way too loud for normal conversation - we had to yell to be heard, especially with masks on, and for a romantic dinner, that isn't really ideal (but I completely get that's not the restaurant's fault; we just had different expectations). But if you're looking for a place with a lively atmosphere with a club vibe, this would be the place for you. We had the special Valentine's Day set menu which was presented really lovely but the quality of the meals was lacklustre (e.g. the oysters weren't fresh, the steak wasn't a good cut, etc.). Overall, it was an OK experience: great service, but the product itself was mediocre.

I dined here yesterday with my mum for Xmas lunch. Although it was a bit of a pain to wait in line to check in (but I suppose can’t be helped atm), it was a fantastic day. What absolutely made the day was our waitress, Olivia. She was patient, kind and attentive. One of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. We will be back next year ☺️

I attended with a work group of 11 people for our Christmas dinner, placed in a very awkward position facing the sun so a few of us couldn't see anything, but they didn't seem to mind when we rearranged the tables (keeping to our area) to a more comfortable facing position. Ordering is super easy with the QR menu on the table and when a couple of people on our table had issues a staff member was only too happy to assist and even came over to the table to check if anyone else was having issues. The food came out fairly quickly and was presented well, specially the desserts which I had been looking forward to the most. As you order food and drinks via the QR code there is rarely a reason to source a staff member which I seems to make everything run very smoothly. Wait staff were quick with any orders and there wasn't any mix ups. When we did have a query about an order it was handled quickly and followed up to confirm the order was in the kitchen. Prices are more towards to mid to high end, most of our table opted for pizza which could have been cut a little better as it was hard to get slices off but was delicious and a decent amount of toppings. The food menu isn't huge but does have a decent range of options, including vegetarian. The menu is available on their website as well to plan ahead.

Christmas Day lunch, pricey food and drinks package per person. Overpacked with tables, with patrons literally touching shoulders in some areas. Looking around the inside you could see extra tables were crammed in to maximise profit. Staff were friendly but clearly couldn't cope with the overcrowding. Took over 1 hour to get our first drink, and then only after finding someone to ask. Food is good quality with good portion sizes.

Went in with my mum and my three young daughters. We were quickly seated at a large table, with plenty of space for the girls to be comfortable and do some colouring. The ambience is amazing. The decorations so inviting, and it is what made us go in. We ordered lemon, lime and bitter, mojitos, fish and chips, and sticky date pudding. The fish and chips was the best I've had. Very light and crispy. The mojitos were the perfect and just the right size. Will definitely be back over Summer.

Went to the so called 'bottomless' brunch yesterday with friends. Let's start with the positives: They did make sure you checked in and were vaccinated so they were off to a good start then it slowed down unfortunately... Food was delicious - the 1 menu item to pick from had a good selection of small plate and larger plate options. I chose the gnocci & it was yummy! Also shared a piece of the margherita pizza which was great too. For a 'bottomless' brunch i feel the smaller plate options maybe to small if hitting the booze hard....or may work if sharing but feel the bigger serve is a better fit for the event. Food however was delicious! Now to the negatives: The term 'bottomless' brunch doesnt actually apply here to the cocktails. You get or we got 4 jugs only between 8 of us. Perhaps pop an asterisk * noting this on your menu...as a little misleading. The wine and beer did however appear to be bottomless. So if thats why you are there then you'reall set! No other non alcoholic drinks were included in the 'bottomless' package so if you are a non drinker or feel like a soft drink circuit breaker then you pay on top of the price already paid. I find this incredibly strange when they are trying to limit your drinking on the so called 'bottomless' cocktails they promote. If you are going to limit one thing then add a non alcoholic item to help off set as well given im sure a serve of post mix would cost you next to nothing anyway.... The music was SO LOUD you couldn't hear the staff or the people sitting next to you. It did seem to come down slightly but still not a place to go if you want to have a conversation during the day. Staff did seem to be a litttle lost but will give them that giving most probably new to roles and still trying to get used to way it all works. Overall a few little changes including the asterisk * about the cocktails and perhaps adding some non alcoholic drinks to your 'bottomless 'brunch menu, having the music at a lower level and your staff engaged a little more and i would've given you 5 stars. We did have an enjoyable day though.

Stopped in to take advantage of their awesome happy hour deal. What a funky place! Brilliant decor and the bar staff were impressive to watch work their magic. Love the tiki cocktail menu and cups! At the start, service was quick and we had a really lovely waiter, but then it turned strange. Someone came by to clear our board when we still had half the cheese left and after that, it was impossible to get someone to help us out. Ended up approaching a staff member to pay our bill, he loaded it up on a screen and then fled as soon as a manager approached. The manager then seemed a bit annoyed we'd already approached the till, cleared the screen and we had to start again. Strange staffing aside, the food around us all looked delicious and their happy hour makes it well worth it. The heaters outside are a nice warm touch!

Great cafe/restaurant at the Queensbridge Street end of Southbank Promenade. There are outdoor tables, great for spending a lazy afternoon in the sunshine watching the sidewalk procession. The menu is creative with interesting snack foods as well as full sized meals. Eggplant chips, beef sliders and calamari were yummy. Kids meals were generous. Staff are friendly. Looks like a good evening venue for drinks and nightlife too.

Indians ask for the tabasco!!!

Good ambiance by the river, prices as expected for the location. Service could be better, waitress not sure of descriptions on menu. Many staff were around, looking busy (chatty with each other) but not quite sure as tables were just 60% filled indoors. Not one came to check on the food or attended to customers for any tables surrounding us - the restaurant is starting to feel a little snobbish (when customers no longer feel appreciative or cared for). Food wise, ribeye cooked right to medium rare, but you gotta pay more to keep the plate whole ($2 for sauce and $5 for each side) - to my first encounter of such. Spaghettini was the highlight, flavourful ingredients with a 'yuzu' twist. Overall despite pretty good food & ambiance with glamor interior, service is what that makes the experience dull. Could definitely see the same for families in surrounding tables. tip: reserve for evenings if you want an outdoor facing table.

Monday lunchtime, table for 4, 2 adults and 2 children. Staff were friendly and polite, water was provided and topped up on a regular basis. It wasn't too busy, the table and seating was comfortable. The food was presented nicely and was tasty. The children were happy with their meals. The boy asked for the chicken burger, but deconstructed, and they were happy to do that for him. He thought his chips were good. Darling daughter had the soft shell crab burger and was also very happy with it. Wife had the steak with frites. The sauce was a little bit too bit spicy for her taste, but she was okay with that. The Haloumi salad was a nice change from standard salad fare. There was asparagus, freekah, sultanas, pomegranate, other various green things, and a generous slab of Haloumi on top. Very nice. We tried the creme brulee, which got the thumbs up from the boss. Background music was playing during the meal, not too loud, added some nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend coming for a relaxing lunch and spending some time there if you're not in a hurry. The service was good, would definitely consider coming again.

We went last night for my friend’s birthday dinner, I booked a table online and I am glad I did because even though it was a Friday, it was really busy. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. We had dim sum to start followed by several different dishes and everything was gorgeous. The decor is quirky and inviting and we immediately felt comfortable. I love that the menu is quite small and uncomplicated. We chose several starter dishes and two main dishes, which was plenty to fill us up - This is not your “run of the mill” Aussie food. Everything is cooked fresh and you can taste the difference in comparison to some other restaurants The price was very reasonable too, we were a party of 6 and it was just over $50 a head including our drinks. The food was excellent and unusually the menu was concise with enough choice to satisfy most tastes and the mains faultless. All in all a very pleasant meal. The atmosphere was great along with the decor, thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back soon! It’s really great to visit you and we will surely come back again.

I recently held my 21st celebrations at Leftbank Melbourne last Sunday July 4. It was very last minute event for my birthday a few weeks back due to COVID. I spoke to Georgia, the Events Manager, who despite my plans being put forward on such short notice, was so helpful in assisting me plan and organise my event just the way I wanted it to go. Special thanks to my host of the night Mason, if you have an event here you will definitely want Mason as your host. From the beginning, he was an absolute delight. Very helpful, attentive and professional. He was very approachable and friendly and easily adaptable to my guests. One of my guests was vegetarian and my set menu did not cater an option for my guest, however Mason was able to quickly help her with alternative options that she was happy with. The waiters and other staff of the venue were also professional. The food and drinks were incredible to share with my group of 30 in the private dining space of the venue. Tables were set up nicely prior to my arrival to set up 30 minutes before. Overall, amazing job and thank you for making my birthday such a special and memorable moment. Be sure to return again soon!

Ordering is only through an app which we're not a fan of as it takes away from the enjoyment of being there together trying to work out what to eat and how to order, takes too long and there is minimal information on the meals. As someone who has a number of dietary requirements and no-one to ask it makes the options very limited. The bowl of chips was $17 small and too many dodgy chips. We had to do a Google search to research the wine to find out the region as well. We didn't stay long. The atmosphere is nice, well decorated but service and product could be improved.

I watched on this morning (Sunday 29 November 2020) as a family with child entered the venue whilst it rained outside. The venue was not opened as yet, and the manager and staff were busily preparing for a very large booking for later that morning – but none the less, the manager welcomed the family in, seated them and provided shelter and coffee whilst they wait for the rain to cease (juice for the child). The manager was courteous and welcoming – which impressed me highly. In fact, I was so impressed with the mannerisms of the manager and staff that I intend to re-visit this venue again, with large group events I run in Melbourne. Goodwill is still alive in Melbourne :)

Hi We went to Left Bank last night for dinner. The place is very impressive when you walk in and the atmosphere was vibrant. we started with a couple of cheese platters. These were well presented and nice but came without any utensils like cheese knives etc. We all used our dinner knives and forks to access the cheese. We then ordered dinner (I ordered the eye fillet). Dinner was served but we then had to request new knives and forks as the staff had not noticed that we did not have any. I have to say my meal and the sides were superb. One of the best steak I have had. After dinner we thought we would have a look at the desert menu. 50 minutes latter we were still unable to get the attention of the staff. No one had come to clear our plates. No one had asked how our meals were (some people were disappointed with the King Prawn rissoto). We were waving our hands to get staff attention but they were walking around looking at the ground. At one point a waitress walked past, looked at our table with all the empty plates and then walked up to another table and picked up a single plate and disappeared back into the kitchen never to return. Needless to say we went up to the counter asked for our bill and left without desert and without offering a tip. Good food / bad service.

My partner booked this place while we were on holiday in Melbourne . It is a very lively place so not the best for an intimate dinner but was alright level of noise for us. He booked a table and there was no reserved sign on any table , the original table they went to seat us on was high , with high uncomfortable looking bar chairs. We got a lower table and they eventually took our drink order. When the drinks came out, they dropped off two plates for us to be able to share our entree and my boyfriends plate had vinegar on it so he had to get that swapped over. The drinks were pricey but good and the starter bread with hummus and chilli jam was amazing. My partner got the prawn pasta which he said was delicious and I got the cauliflower steak which was good but could of had more seasoning . The service was ok but a bit cold and rushed . They didn’t acknowledge us at all after we were done our main meals so we just found a waiter to pay and had dessert elsewhere.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago and sat in a booth up towards the back. Service was fast initially and the entrees came out fast and were nice. Then the place got a bit busier with larger groups on tables and we seemed to get forgotten about. A glance at our table from any wait staff would have seen the empty plates and should have prompted some attention. In the end I had to go over to the counter and ask for someone to come and take our mains orders as we had a show to get to. This was then done, and again the food came out relatively quickly and was nice. The music was a very loud & monotonous "doof-doof" and we could hear no words or tune, just continuous bass like we were in a nightclub. So in summary, the food was good & reasonably priced, the service average and the music bad. If we go into the city for another night out we would be trying somewhere else.

Went to the Sunday Bottomless Brunch today. If you are the type who love food, you gotta try it! Buffet style, totally worth the money. Excellent choice if you want to do something special! Oysters and prawns were fresh; salmon and lamb chop were cooked perfectly! The dessert bar was a great way to finish my Sunday! My fav was the pavlova and the lemon tart. They have impressive cocktails, either order from the menu or get the bartender to surprise you. Will definitely go back!

From the kitchen are house made gnocchi, pre prepared meals (8hr braised lamb with potato purée & vegetables is amazing!), pies & Cacio e Pepe. A Canadian (or American sorry!) waitress named Breannah, took us through the menu and the right wines to pair our meals with. In the end we followed her recommendations which were perfect. She was attentive and helped make our evening more special. Having dined in Melbourne for over 15 years I can honestly say this was some of the best service I have ever received in the city.. Although the prices for food were a little high, this is to be expected given the amazing location (and to be honest the service up for this overall). Already looking at returning with friends in the next few weeks!

Hello Emma, Thank you for your query. Left Bank itself is a very nice place. However, the food was just average. I had the king prawn risotto and the risotto was undercooked. My cousins ate steak and pizza and they thought it was ok. Although our waitresses were lovely, they or the bar tender got our drinks wrong on 3 separate occasions. Yesterday I met a friend who was already seated inside, we chatted for an hour and not one person bothered to serve us. On another recent visit for lunch (seated outside) I experienced much better service so I hope yesterday was an oversight.
