Exceptional food. The grilled quail and savoury rice is the most delicious meal I have had this year. The spices were impeccably balanced and the servings enormous. The baba ghanoush was hearty and smoky. The roasted eggplant was so delicious and sweet that it convinced me that eggplant isn't terrible. The staff (or owner, I can't be sure...) was especially passionate and proud of the food. I can see why - Leyalina is a place that delivers consistently good food. Find your way through the haze of shisa smoke to discover something great.

Nice food had good flavour to it. I had the mixed grill an honestly a bit disappointed in the size compared to other mix grills I’ve eaten from other middle Easton restaurant this was small. I was not really happy with the service no one was really around to look after us and when they were they weren’t really paying attention, I wanted to order desert but I was waiting a fair bit to get served until I just gave up an left. I would recommend people to sit downstairs because upstairs was not really clean.

Legit, delicious Egyptian food served by the friendliest of hosts. Best baba ganoush I’ve had in Australia! Serving sizes are generous, food is fresh and tasty and the vibe of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. You can tell that this place is a labour of love for the owner and his family, who were all at the restaurant on a busy Saturday night but had time to stop and chat to their customers. The owner is also a magician—ask him to show you his tricks! Will definitely be coming back for more om ali :)

Wow! I have been coming to Leyalina for years and always order the same dish because it's just too delicious - get the Mixed grill with rice and you will not regret it! Juicy meat, seasoned to perfection. Soft, fluffy rice with mince and nuts, wonderful garlic and tahini sauce on the side and a crisp salad. Perfection!! Today for the first time I ordered Leyalina to my house and it arrived hot and just as delicious as in the store! If you visit Leyalina, make sure you try their baklava ice cream too! 10/10!

Viva la Masr! My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful dinner here tonight. The food is authentic Egyptian and fresh. We started with the Kebda which was perfectly spiced with a side of tahini. We also ordered the banquet which was huge. 3 dips (smokey eggplant was spectacular!), Bread, salad, falafel, haloumi, fried cauliflower. And that was only the starter! We were then treated with vine leaves, bbq chicken, hawawchi, chips for main. To be honest it was too much food but we took it home so great for lunch tomorrow! Finished off with zalabia. Not sure if that's how you spell it but they are basically little flour mix balls that are deep fried, dipped in syrup and topped with a little icing sugar. So light and fluffy and the perfect way to finish. Prices are very reasonable and service was excellent and attentive .The owner is wonderful, recounting his stories of Egypt and very hospitable. Thank you for hosting us! Can't wait to come back .

What can I say comma it's all the good thing in one spot it is like a piece of home away from home, from the minute you get round this restaurant you could send the Egyptian Vibe everywhere the staff is very happy very helpful and they will do anything for you the food is a home cooked food and if you want to try something really good go for the okra tagine. That doesn't mean that I don't like anything else but I went through every meal on the menu and I keep coming back for the Opera 2 June I've taken heaps of my friends there and they all love this restaurant and they love everything about it from food too friendly service you could even request your own music there.

Thy only have very few Egyptian dishes, the rest is general mediterranean food. Ambiance is great. Shisha is very good. Food is so so, done mushy and soggy. And even their falafel is not Egyptian falafel, It is not made from broad beans like Egypt but from chickpeas. The Molokhia was spot on and the foul medammes is decent. It is very Over price for its quantity, quality and taste. The restaurant does not offer authentic Egyptian food like what they claim on the menu. Only a few dishes are Egyptian. And the rest is oriental food in general. The restaurant atmosphere is great and the shisha is good. Eating half a text. The chives were kneaded and the moussaka was floating. Molokhia is fine. Fava beans are not invalid. Unfortunately, falafel is not Egyptian falafel with fava beans, and you have hummus.
