Wanted to try something a bit different to celebrate a rather long year. We ordered the set meal and was really impressed with each course. Some great and unexpected combination of flavours and everything perfectly executed. It was really a highlight of the year.

I came here for my 22nd birthday with some friends and it was such a great experience. Our waitress Anna was so sweet and so were all of the other staff! the food was super tasty and plated beautifully and the whole place looked so pretty. I’d love to come here again if i get the chance :)

London Vibe type of restaurant, Gorgeous old-school Barrister Equity chambers fit-out with stunning vintage lifts. So much history was preserved and its such a delight to see a Melbourne building preserved & incorporated into a lovely restaurant with such modern day facilities.
Waiter staff were friendly but did lack remembering which dish went to who in our larger group. Food was nice in an Italian fine-dining sort of way. Portions are small. However I would visit again just because we can't travel internationally and this restaurant is closest thing to a London/Milan vibe we have right now in Melbourne.

Me and my partner enjoyed our dinner so much!! food is good with vegetable sides only downsize the menu is limited and small portion size, cozy quiet ambience, luxe high ceiling design, super friendly staffs especially Kyan, May and Vin who took their time to explain everything to us. We ordered lemon meringue as dessert to complete our meal and it very very delicious and wonderful memorable night for us ❤️❤️❤️

Food were Excellent! highly recommended fregola & seafood ! Head Chef Sam Moore knows how to cook great seafood dishes !! Beautiful high ceilings very relaxing dinning area. Staff were friendly. Breakfast from 6:30am to dinner 9ish . * dinning chairs were quite heavy …

The atmosphere is set as soon as you step foot into the 1930s architecturally inspired building. The mood and vibe was exceptional as there was a four piece string band playing classical music. We enjoyed the Valentines evening set course menu and my favourite course was the duck.

Excellent food and services. Price is on the high side but not unreasonable for the taste, quality, and service. Well done!

Food was decent but nothing to shout about. Tried once and will probably not return. Portions were on the smaller side but was not a deal breaker.
Friendly service from wait staff.

Lovely art deco interior. Average service and somewhat underwhelming food. Had much higher hopes for this venue. Amaretto sours were good.

A highlight nestled inside the newly opened Hilton hotel , Luci is serving up 3 course lavish meals inside the former Equity Chambers Grand Hall! Focusing on highlights from a contemporary Australian and European menu, this was truely a beautiful experience. The stand out dish for me was the Valrhona Caramelia mousse, caramel, dukes coffee 👌👌

I was lucky enough to get an invite to this incredible 2021 Autumn Tasting hosted by new restaurant Luci. They’ve only been open 6 weeks and have @chefsammoore creating and serving a seasonal menu. The building is the ex Equity Chambers Building on Bourke St, connected to @hiltonmelbournelqs and is truely phenomenal. The service is top tier and the matching wines were all so good that I’m ordering them all for home 😂
Now for the food!
Heirloom Beetroot: So tiny! Very delicate, the avocado mousse was nice.
Kingfish Crudo: The pairing with the apple and celery won me over, so refreshing! I feel the kingfish itself needed flavour, either from the curing or seasoning.
Blue Eye Cod: Again, loved the pairing with the butter and that amazing broccoli purée (who would’ve thought that would be a good idea?!) The cod was creamy and fell apart beautifully, but abit bland.
Striploin: Mine was a little tough but that black garlic sauce was heaven! I didn’t love the onion on top.. I think there are better alternatives. Seasoning again.
Valrohna Caramelia Mousse: Dish of the night, and possibly one of my favourite desserts I’ve ever had in Melbourne (my partner also agrees). The theatric of smashing into it, combined with the flavours, hints of coffee and texture are perfection.
Overall, we really enjoyed our meals. However 3 of the dishes really needed to be seasoned better and I felt relied on the accompaniments for flavour. A small fix that I’m sure they will work through. The chefs selection is $65-85 for 2-3 courses, so I recommend this restaurant for a light fine dining experience, considering the size of the dishes.

Beautiful restaurant! Went for an anniversary dinner and requested a quiet table, and staff placed my partner and I in the back quiet corner which was perfect! The food was divine and the service was amazing. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back again!

Super tasty food, ambience is good, good service. Portions I thought are bit smaller than similar restaurants. Worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful experience! Perfect for a date night. The food was great and the staff was extremely courteous. Highly recommended! Thank you 😊

Service is impeccable and the large expansive space is impressive. The meals however are a let down. Portion sizes are WAY too small, especially for the price. Left hungry even after ordering multiple starters, mains and sides. There’s no excuse for making the portion so small you leave unsatisfied. If cost control is an issue then bulk up the meals with vegetable and pulses.

Good service, excellent food, value for money and engaging staff. Had a good evening

Great food. The right potion size for us, but not for anyone with a big "tummy". Not much selections on the menu though. Perhaps is a good thing to reduce food wastage.

Most important is be prepared NOT to share. Portions are very small. We should have been advised properly during orders. Tastes wise, it’s above average.

Lovely tasting food and amazing service but portion sizes are way too small for the price paid. The entree size and main size are almost the same size, but the main size plate is just bigger (there actually food quantity was very similar).

Stunning service, food and wine! 10/10 recommend the pork tortellini starter and wagyu main. Did not love the Sangiovese but the Nebbiolo made up for it spectacularly.

Very good. One diner said "have humans evolved enough to handle such a variety of flavours?"

A lovely spot to stop for a cuppa and while away some time away from the city noise on a Saturday afternoon.

Great attention to detail in an incredible space.
The food was delicious ( ordered the pancakes ) with an outstanding service.
Definitely worth a visit.

Immediate impressions on walking into Luci was the stunning venue with gorgeous marble tables and plush chairs.
Interestingly they were serving a Broadsheet collaboration degustation menu, but it only came in increments of 2, so as a table of 3 it didn’t make much sense to get it. Not sure if the waiter was just confused but when we prodded him on it, he maintained that we could only get this for 2 or 4 people.
Luckily the limoncello spritz were good and that was quickly forgotten as we proceeded with a la carte.
The highlight of the meal by far was the quail starter. Beautifully presented under the braised witlof and a good pop of sweetness from the berries. This is a must order when dining at Luci.
The duck breast main was also executed wonderfully.
We ordered the entree size portions of the mushroom cavatelli and bucatini. They came out quite small sizes for the price point. In general the pastas were underwhelming. They were tasty, but nothing special.
The green bean side was very uninspired. Quite literally just pan fried green beans. A bit of pancetta on top but again, not special and doesn’t feel like a lot of love went into that.
Wines were good. Good knowledge demonstrated by the somm.
Overall I had a good evening but a bit to work on to make this a great dining experience.

I went here for dinner with few friends after seeing a video on tiktok, I must say the food and the service was great. We had some wagu recommended by our very lovely waiter Abdul. The meat was cooked to perfection and the chocolate mousse was magnificent.
It was quiet busy but the service was on top.every dish was explained beautifully by the waiter and even though he was wearing the mask but we could sense his positive attitude! Great stuff, definitely recommend and will be back

Had a really nice dinner here when I stayed at the Hilton. The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious. Special shout out to the staff who were really helpful with a dietary requirement.
The pumpkin gnocchi was next level. Get it.

Beautiful ambience and great tasting food however portion sizes were very small.

Having recently dined at Luci for lunch I cannot say how blown away we were by the service, ambience and the food. It was exceptional all round.
I had the Somerville heirloom beetroot with cashew ricotta as an entrée, the balance of flavour and texture was perfect. For a main I had the mushroom cavatelli which was not only beautifully presented but had a depth of flavour that was outstanding. Luci are clearly using the highest quality ingredients and as such you’d expect to be charged a lot more but their pricing is very accessible. The level of care really shines though in even the smallest of details…the French fries with parmesan and truffle oil. The best fries I have ever tasted. Bravo.
