We had the most incredible night at Magic Mountain on Saturday night. We are already planning to go back ASAP. The food was amazing, delicious and plentiful. The service was brilliant. A huge shout out to Liz who looked after us with incredible good advice, attention and good humour. We went as a group celebrating a much delayed big birthday and the night was made very special by Magic Mountain. The vibe is really fun and the layout inside is very appealing. I was completely full but couldn't stop myself eating more because everything was so tasty. The cocktails and drinks are divine.

Great food, great service, great experience all round.
Might have just been the dishes that I ordered but I found all the dishes were quite heavy and that's what I prefer.
We ordered the DIY Baos, Drunken Noodles, Curried Soft Shell Crab, Sticky Beef Ribs and Smashed Potatoes.
All the dishes are quite heavy and pack a lot of flavour.
Different combinations of sweet, sour, salty and spicy that create amazingly tasty dishes.
Enjoyed the DIY Baos even though the pork was slightly dry but the sauces and salad included make up for it.
Really enjoyed the soft shell crab (I recommend getting the Roti on the side as well). The crab was crispy but tender and what was really impressive is how it's mixed entirely into the curry.
The Sticky Beef Ribs was an interesting dish due to the presentation and the textures. The crispy deep fried base topped with beef ribs and chilli was a nice combination of soft, crispy yet sweet.
The dish that I highly recommend and was my favourite is the Drunken Noodles. Every mouthful is just so flavourful and the spice level is adds to the tastiness - be warned it is very spicy. I had to take breaks in between mouthfuls but if you can handle it definitely give it a go!
The restaurant itself has a very social yet relaxed vibe. Service was outstanding and overall would recommend to everyone.

Dined for dinner. We shared the crispy pork belly bao, fried chicken ribs, lamb shoulder red curry, rice, roti & chocolate & salted caramel tart. Food was all delicious. I also loved the lychee martini cocktails (I had 3 of them). Service friendly.
A. N.
Great customer service, great food. Don't be fooled by the "small plates" the portions are bigger than implied. Great for sharing.
Can highly recommend the beef ribs, very tender and flavourful.
Thai chicken ribs are also excellent!

Thai fusion multi level restaurant / bar filled with neon light and loud music/chattering.
We are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and great service. Thx Phil and Collin for looking after us well
Our highlights are:
💗 Crunchy fried chicken ribs
💗 Mozzarella curried rice balls (like arancini but with more explosion of flavours)
We’ve also ordered the below which aren’t too bad:
❤️🩹Peking duck flat rice noods - Good flavours and chilli kick but duck was too chewy
❤️🩹Lotus root tapioca dumpling - Enjoyed the flavour but the dumpling skin can be thinner
❤️🩹Snapper in banana leaves - Expected more fragrance from the banana leaves
We won’t be re-ordering:
💔Betel leaves - Way too dry and somehow the ingredients combo doesn’t work for us
💰We paid ~$40pp excluding drinks

Thank you SO much, to the Magic Mountain Saloon team. Maddy was flawless in their service, and of course the rest of the team - Curtis, Clinton and Pam - were amazing. We had the bottomless brunch, and the food was exceptional (definitely enough to fill the belly). The drinks were great, especially the Bloody Mary. Toilets were clean and easy access from the service area. There was a small but thoughtful balcony. Suits not advised.

🦑 Fried Calamari
🥔 Daikon and Chive Croquettes w Sticky Pulled Beef
🌶 Chilli and Lime Chicken Popcorn
🥟 Garlic Chive Dumplings
🍜 Drunken Pork Noodles
What a viiiiibe! Perfect representation of Melbourne, easily one of the coolest restaurants we have. Filled with moody red neon lighting, small intimate dining areas as well as booths and communal tables. Multiple levels, a DJ and a bar. Their inventive Thai menu is large and perfect for sharing, every single dish we ordered was delicious and massive. Their version of a “dumpling” is interesting, still tasted like a dumpling but in more of a pancake style. Service was also top, they’re really fun!
⭐️ 5/5

Love this place! Actually forgot I’d been here once before (pre COVID). We had
- Chicken Curry Roti (11/10. Was tempted to order twice)
- Soft Shell Crab curry - heard good things about this & it did not disappoint. Wish the spices were slightly punchier (8/10)
- Chive dumpling - LOVED this. The texture was beautiful (8/10)
- Fried Chicken Ribs. Can’t go past a crunchy number & the sauce was divine! Hot tip: pour the sauce all over the chicken. Was so good (9/10)
- Peking Duck noodles. Wasnt the biggest fan of this one, but still tasty! (7/10)
- Chocolate pie & Salted Carmel. They changed the dessert & wasn’t the biggest fan of this one. Will probably give it a miss next time! (5/10)
Will definitely be back! We eyed off a few items swanning past us & I’m already dreaming of my next curry roti hit!

Girls and I came for our little Christmas party and it was amazing. Food was great and the service was exceptional, if you have Clinton on your visit you are sure to share laughs, smiles and be taken care of! Thank you, Clinton! Will definitely be coming back. 🥰

Went for a work team lunch last week.
They were a bit understaffed, so some of the drinks took a while to come out - so they offered us a small glass of prosecco to enjoy while we were waiting :)
Otherwise, food was delicious, and staff were friendly, so all in all we had a good time. Thanks!
A. N.
Great food!! Every dish we had was just so tasty! The service was good and the vibe was really great! I would definitely go back again

Nice Thai fusion restaurant within easy reach of the Paris end of Collins Street. Service is good and fast. Great flavours. Try the popcorn chicken and pancakes for starters. Portions are generous sharing size and great value for money for a group lunch or dinner.

Very good service. Food is up to authentic standards (base on my picky Malaysian tuned tastebuds). Impressed for a non-asian restaurant to deliver such exceptional variety of Asian inspired dishes

Went here for my birthday celebration, nothing much to say, but spectacular food at an extravagant spot. Will definitely pay another visit.
S. S.
Good ambient and very attentive staff... but from the taste of the food, maybe the chef need to taste his food before serving... the idea has been really creative and bizarre in someway and the flavours are everywhere where some are a bit overpowering... was given a scissor to cut my roti, which I wasn’t expecting but it did spark some laughter and chat for me and my friends. Nicely done. The taste is alright as we knew the bread is fresh and crispy, if there’s more content in the bread, this will be an exceptional dish... the pork skewers and fried rice is where things goes a bit off tracked. The dried shrimp is supposed to be soaked in warm water to make them soft and eatable before adding into the the fried rice, but they did not. Making the dried shrimp is as hard as wood, not even chewy, the dried shrimp is not eatable. But they got the idea of mixing glutinous rice into fried rice, which is clever and adding more flavour. But really, the dried shrimp is what killed the dish together with it’s super spicy green apple salad. I grownup in South Eastern Asia, and I can handle most of the spicy food that I can find even in my country but this salad is really something else. It’s head blowing hot!!! Other of my friends gave up with just one slide of the green apple. The pork skewer too, is too salty, like it’s been overly seasoned with soy sauce for days but it’s still eatable with the rice but not enjoyable... finally the toasty and the pork belly. It looks like pork belly cooked with sandwich press but overall it’s still eatable... maybe I shouldn’t have come here early in the morning for breakfast...
A. G.
Amazing, their Chilli and Lime Chicken Popcorn is the best fried chicken iv ever had! 15/10.Their Pina Colada’s are 10/10, they also have a lychee cocktail 10/10, their pork bao buns are yum 8/10.
A. S.
What an amazing place. Amazing food and good vibes, secretly tucked in a corner of little Collins st. Highly recommend.
M. D.
I have only ever been here for breakfast, but it's one of my favourite breakfast places.
The space is comfortable, styled like a tiki-flavoured saloon bar. The coffee is good, the Thai-style food is delicious and mostly spicy.
D. M.
Breakfast review:
This morning was a bit lacklustre. The great service and coffee was let down by the presentation of the meal and undercooked poached eggs. There were only two other people in the restaurant so it's not like the kitchen was under the pump. The waiter was nice enough to wave the cost of the coffee.
P. S.
The title of the restaurant itself evokes sentiments of psychedelic fusion - a Disney ride, a wild West saloon, magic, and so forth. The initial ambience bathes you in a mysterious redness, perhaps for a magical feel as you make your way towards the little bar stocked with quite a varied selection of beers on tap, you could then scale your way up the spiralling stairway to the multiple dining levels of the magic mountain.
The food is a strong fusion of Thai and Australian, which essentially means a considerable sprinkling of coconut and coriander. The wine cocktails appear well concocted while the stuffed roti is a crispy delight, along with the fused aromatic brewings of Thai green/red curries and Aussie grills.

Open till 1am. Great asian fusion food, mostly Thai food I think.. Portions are small but food is so tasty. Drinks are great as well. This place is quite small but got a great vibe. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend this place.
R. K.
Ridiculously good food whether you are in the mood for some tapas share dishes or some delicious curry. They also have a great range of cocktails and spritzers which are worth having.

I went here with friends for dinner on NYE. Prior to attending, the staff were extremely good. I booked online and accidentally had hit 8am instead of 8pm, they picked this up and called me to adjust. I also received a confirmation prior to the dinner as requested. The menu is what would be classified as modern australian / thai inspired. It is quite an extensive menu, entrees consisted of jerky, duck, sausage, soups, dumplings and more. We selected the ham hock croquettes with a chilli plum sauce and also the garlic chive and water spinach dumplings. Both were packed with flavour and cooked with a nice amount of juicyness! They also have salad, sides, grill and wok based dishes. We had some
ideas as to what we wanted but took the waitresses suggestions as to what was good to share. We had the scotch fillet chopped into small pieces, the rice noodles (quite like a pad see ew), and the grilled pumpkin salad. The combination of flavours for all dishes was well developed and all members of the party enjoyed all food. Dishes aren't beautiful in terms of photos, but the food is delicious. I found everything quite spicy, so if spice isn't your thing, ask them to hold off on that. Would have liked the ribs as they sounded amazing but probably a bit messy for us on NYE. We also got a bunch of cocktails (the menu is extensive, and different! We got some
spritzers too). You could go for dinner, or drinks, or both!
The space itself is three storied, bar section downstairs, a DJ level, smaller tables upstairs. A little hard to hear chatter amongst friends but more a party atmosphere. We were in a private type area, so sometimes hard to gain the waitstaff attention, but they were also extremely busy and efficient given it was new year's eve. Great place to go with friends.

SO AWESOME!!!!!
From Sydney and was away for Christmas and got directions to a closed sushi joint across the road and as starving as we were we made a quick choice we will just try some random place down the street and my LORD it’s one of if not THE best restaurant we have been to!!!!
Our server was incredible I think French (I’m really bad at pin pointing accents)
We called up a few days later just to tell them how awesome they were the food is to die for and the VIBE of the place is insane!!!!!!!!! So much fun and so delicious 100/10 !!!!!
P.s best bloody cocktails
R. B.
An excellent place to have a wide variety of food and drink. We recommend going in a group and more or less sampling everything (we just about did!).
You'll be greeted by a distinctly red vibe and depending on the time of day, pretty kicking music.
The prices are on the higher side but the quality is also right up there. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, which included the duck, pork belly, fried mushrooms, Roti, dumplings and so on.
The drinks are also great with a wide variety of potent cocktails. We even had the pleasure of the staff come and be our personal cocktail advisor since one of our group was hunting a cocktail she had enjoyed on her last visit but couldnt find... while she didnt find that cocktail the staff were able to concoct something equally delicious on the spot for us.
If you want to have an excellent dinner in Melbourne. Go. Here.

Amazing service: the wait staff were prompt, attentive, and friendly. Couldn't fault the food, and the cocktails were delicious

This place is seriously so good. I’ve had snacks, starters, stuffed roti and honeycomb crepes for dessert and I need to say every single dish I tried at the bar were fantastic!!!! All the staff are friendly and the vibe as a whole is simply amazing. I totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a decent bite of food with a pint of beer to chill out!

Dropped by the Saloon mid morning upon being seduced from the red hue emanating through the windows the night before. Thinking it was a bar, I was disappointed to know Magic Mountain offered breakfast/lunch/dinner options. Oh well, next time.
The wife and I had a few leisurely drinks as we waited for friends. I'm not one for spritzers but after tasting my partners drink (I forget the name), ordered my own and these are absolutely amazing.
Inside, staff at the Saloon were only too happy to make us feel welcome and share their good vibes.
If you're in the area, stop by and enjoy the food, drinks, company Magic Mountain Saloon have to offer.

This place is a nice for lunch or tea.
Asian inspired meals which are if great quality.
If your hungry you better order plenty because the meals are not very large but the quality is great.
It has a nightclub uostaurs on weekends.
R. W.
Nice ambience for great Asian fusion food (mostly Thai influence from the dishes I tried). The lamb cigars and chicken mozzarella roti to start were both unique and excellent. The green papaya salad was a favorite among my table. The lamb shoulder curry was red in color with a sweet coconut curry flavor, with mild spice. The chicken curry was more spicy and tangy green curry. Skip the desserts - they were overpriced and not up to the quality of the mains.

With the help of the team at magic mountain I planned a 22 person dinner and it went perfectly. I was so impressed with their communication and their flexibility. On the night we were helped out by Palm who was so amazing keeping me up to date with timings and making sure we have enough food. We did the $65 pp feed me and there was SO MUCH FOOD in the best way. It was a great night; everyone kept mentioning how amazing it was. Can't thank the staff enough.
N. R.
Thai fusion food at its best, the beef ribs were the best I had so far along with jasmine rice. The staff were really friendly and they have a very good collection of wine. Great place to hangout and drink and the lighting was soo good. Highly recommended!

CLINTON IS AN ABSOLUTE BLESING AND A HALF GIVE HIM A RAISE HE IS THE BEST WAITER IN THIS ENTIRE BAR - LEXI
CLINTON U R A SKINY LEGEND U DESERVE EVERYTHING IN LIFE HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS - DARCY

The Chicken Rendang is amazing. A must have side, service was excellent (Service staff Phil was super attentive , and helped us with the dishes, other staff were very approachable and friendly too). Lamb curry with rice was super flavourful , and the tapioca dumpling really packs a punch. Sticky ribs was so so. Oh you must try "Guava nice day" for drinks. But if you're after something non alcoholic, "Day off" is quite nice too. Would definitely come back again.
f. t.
Nice place to visit. They have an upstairs and downstairs level. Food is quite unique but the flavours are well balanced. The staff are friendly. Only downside is if you are downstairs there is no toilet and you need to walk upstairs.
G. J.
Breakfast cocktails (including cracking French 75s), and super tasty spicy food for brunch. What's not to love!
Pictures isn't great but my scotched egg was fab, spicy, crispy, tasty ball of loveliness.
Waitress was super friendly and service on point.
Will be back.
K. L.
Yummo, highly recommend. Great little booths to sit at and feast with your mates
M. Y.
Love the food! Love the interior design! Great service as well. Great place for a drink
R. W.
Great food, staff and drinks loved this place 👌👍😁
P. G.
Love this venue! Amazing food and drinks menu with awesome yummy dishes! Cocktails are the best!!!
R. F.
What a beautiful venue. Fantastic welcome and then the service left nothing wanting. Ocean trout was bright and vibrant and the drinks selection is varied and exactly what the doctor ordered.
I can't wait to go back!
D. B.
Brilliant.
Some of the best food I've eaten in Melbourne, combined with great service, good music at just the right volume and a cool interior.
I almost don't want to recommend it in case it gets too busy.
S. P.
I loved the dumplings that we got for entree, I could have just eaten those.
The rice servings are pretty big, 1 serve is definitely enough for 2 people.
The main was surprisingly flavourless after that entree (pictured is the main). It was a stir fry vegetable dish and something I could easily have made better at home.
We got a couple of mocktails, which is an unusual choice for me but they sounded very interesting and they were very cool! We got a lychee one and a summer guitar one. The lychee one was very strong in flavour so if you aren't a rosewater lover you'll hate it but I thought it was very interesting! The summer fruit one was our favourite.
S. T.
Great for breakfasts! Try the chicken ball congee... Fabulous for cold Melbourne mornings. Highly recommended!
L. S. O.
Great food and staff that work hard to ensure you get the most out of sharing meals. Also very aware of timing before start of shows in the precinct.
S. D.
Spicy chicken beef and salad with red wine. Up stairs by reservation for a more private environment.
M. M.
The red light was a it too intense. Didn't know what the food was because it all looked red. The food was tasty very super oily and rich.
G. J.
Classy hidden gem with constantly updated drinks menu.
Relatively quite during the week, gets busy on friday and saturday.
T. T.
Breakfast selections are a bit daring and is not for the weak stomachs. Other than that it is nice twist on Asian foods
P. H.
Went back 3 times in 4 days. Amazing food and friendly staff :) See you again next time!
A. B.
Always great food, and nice service. Very good cocktails, and solid beer list, too.
Best enjoyed with a few people, the menu is designed for sharing. Even still, I often go on my own, and the flavours of a single dish are varied and rounded enough to hold up :3
Definitely book for groups if you want a nice table, otherwise the bar might be all the spare room.
A. Y. J.
Food is ok. Nice building. Over priced & overrated though
L. J.
Yummy food and thank you Clinton for your amazing service 😊
H. K.
Clinton was out of the park incredible.
Phenom place to take pics, have drinks, eat some tatsey food and enjoy life. 11/10 recommend.
G. S.
Great service, great food and great drinks. Be sure to try the popcorn chicken as it is amazing.
R. F.
The food, drinks and the service were absolutely exceptional! It was a little disappointing at how many people seem to want to smoke directly outside the restaurant while people are trying to eat though! But that is not the fault of the business - I would highly recommend this place for a lovely meal in the city.
E. C.
Went for bottomless brunch with a few; food and drinks were all AMAZING and the service, although they were extremely busy, was impeccable. The fella who looked after us during service (didn't get his name but he had a Superman patch on his apron) was very attentive, efficient and was more than happy to accommodate my chilli loving boyfriend who wanted the spiciest Bloody Mary they could make. Would definitely recommend this joint!
M. G.
Magic Mountain had a really nice vibe to it, cocktails were delicious however rather pricey. Our waiter was fantastic, extremely helpful and nice. Unfortunately one of our meals was completely forgotten, and as it was a main it came out after everyone else’s. I had the pork platter, which was delicious, however for the price that I was paying I expected a lot more. Overall a real cool place, however I won’t be rushing back any time soon.
c. m.
The food is delicious.. chicken wings are a must along with the duck flat noodles.. amazing wine list.
j.
Absolutely delicious food. We came here on a Monday night which was nice and quiet and the service was great. The food came out promptly and was delicious!! Highly recommend! Cannot wait to go back. Some of the best Thai food my husband and I have had!
R. T.
The food was great and so was the service. Maddie was our waitress and she was an absolute star. So friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
S. B.
Delicious food, easy casual setting, in a great atmosphere
R. D.
Been here a few times and have always been happy with the food and service. Came in a group of 7 last time & had the fed me option which was very tasty & filling & loved everything on offer. The music is super loud in there though so you can only talk to the person beside you not to everyone on the table so that's something to consider if you have a large group. (Probably won't go in a big group again)
Try the crepé cake for dessert, it's easy to fit in even if you think your too full you'll find some room
K. T.
Had breakfast here after reading great reviews.. unfortunately food didn't meet expectations. Decor was cool and staff very friendly. My husband's eggs were overcooked (pork belly dish) and we couldn't eat together as they got his dish wrong first up. I had the baked eggs with sausage and pulled lamb and thought it lacked flavour.
Cocktails were nice.
Overall good but pricey for what we got.
M. W.
Food was great (although super spicy) and cocktails lovely! Can recommend the Saturn 👌🏼 minus one star as we felt a bit abandoned by the wait staff throughout our night, although they were lovely, we could have done with a bit more attention.
R. W.
A wonderful dining experience. Food is exceptional, the flavours are very considered. The servings are moderate, but perhaps at too steep a price. Drinks are also pricey. Staff are magnificent and friendly and the place itself is very atmospheric, perhaps a bit on the noisy side.
I would highly recommend for a group or a date night
b. k.
Waited months for them to open and get a table, Absolutely did not disappoint! Been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Must try the papaya salad and the beef ribs!
B.
Had an awesome birthday here. Staff looked after us really well, accommodated us as best they could and the food was fantastic. We were all stuffed by the end of the cheaper banquet and I've definitely paid more for much less impressive food. Loved this place and everyone had a great time. If there was anything you should be wary of it's just the drink prices but isn't that just the *cough* criminal *cough* cost of alcohol in Australia that I doubt they can avoid. Ask to be looked after by the guy with the handlebar moustache who is obviously an ex-rocker who is as cool as the venue itself, he was a champion waiter <3
S. D.
I'm conflicted in writing this review because I loved the vibe here. We were happy to be seated upstairs and everything on the food menu looked amazing, so we were really looking forward to dinner. Unfortunately, the service and quality of food fell short and we did not find our experience good value for money. As lovely as the staff was, our waiter practically disappeared after we ordered, our glasses of wine all arrived at different times and a side dish that we ordered was completely forgotten. The (other) waiter checking on us took care of it and didn't charge us for their mistake, but the kitchen was clearly having some troubles because they sent out Chinese broccoli instead of the broccolini that we originally ordered. I can't complain with now receiving two free side dishes, but the communication errors between the front of house and back of house were pretty obvious. Mix-ups aside, the sea bass I ordered was well cooked, but a bit bland. I can't recommend this place for their food, but I would love to return to have a drink at the bar sometime.
K. W.
The Magic Mountain Saloon is in Little Bourke Street, watch out for it, it can be a tad difficult to spot. The food is has a base in Thai cuisine. Many people are pretty much over standard Thai food, but this is different. The flavours are quite unusual, but very tasty. The wine is on the expensive side, but craft beer is much the same as you would pay in a pub. Dress is casual. The saloon is an 'out there' sort of place. Most customers are young. which is fortunate, as there are some steps to climb.
S. J.
All the food was amazing, great vibe and attentive staff. Crepe cake is a must!!!
V. M.
Sexy dim red lighting, drinks menu for days and chilled back dj playing some great beats - oh and did I mention how good the food is?
Not surprising that the people that created Cookie, Toff and Colonel Tans have hit another home run with Magic Mountain. I’ve been here for a work dinner, for a late night drink, for a Sunday lunch and with a big group. Each time the food and service is amazing.
For those who are gluten and lactose intolerant the guys here have it covered. Just let them know your requirements and they look after the rest. They’re even good with Vegans and vegos! Highly recommend you letting the kitchen do it’s thing, just tell them if anything on the menu is a must have and they’ll fill in the rest.
Love

Awesome place for drinks and food.
Great environment and vibe with super friendly staff that now how to take car of you.

Love rhe atmosphere and the food is delicious. Let's not forget the friendly staff. Highly recommend them.

Magic Mountain Saloon is favourite Thai restaurant in Melbourne...The dishes are always jam packed with flavour and generous serving size. I can't help but order the betel leaf salad every time i come here, the smoked trout flavour is so delicious and overall the salad is just perfectly balanced. Well priced menu in general. Have been here many times now but thought it's about time i write a review. Awesome vibrant vibe during the evenings and the staff are a lot of fun. Also my favourite bar, worth a visit just for the cocktails, always bring my friends here from out of town who are after a great Melbourne experience.

What a super fun place! We went there quite late, so the neon and colourful lights draw you in! The staff made our group comfortable really quickly and provided the extensive cocktail list in no time... the service was timely and the cocktails delicious!
Menu is great, a great asian fusion. We just kept ordering plates as it's far more fun to share - meals were tasty AF and a little on the small size, however we just kept ordering as we all picked at the food.
Highly recommend this place as a fun place to eat and drink, staff were super accomodating and always made sure we were always looks after!
B. N.
The food was really good but the service was pretty average! I had to call the waiter over twice to take our order. The duck salad was a bit of an anticlimax for $29 too.
The quality of the food in general is great though.
P. M.
Between 5 people we ordered about 5 different dishes and had a couple of drinks each, in total $325.50. We used a combination of cash and card to pay, PLUS we added a tip via EFT. The waiter collected all our payments and left the table. Moments later he returned, asking for the .50c that we had missed in our payment. My local cafe is more generous and I spend less there. Swings and Roundabouts Magic Mountain - Greedy! Moreover, the food nothing special and grossly overpriced.
I. L.
The barman at this place is excellent! He was super professional and made excellent suggestions. Glad that this place is open at late hours.
Update: came back after not living in Melbourne for a while and this place delivered. Excellent service - our waiter did not need to write down our order. Delicious meals. Cosy atmosphere on a rainy night! Will be back again.
c. s.
I love MADDI and CLINTON!!!plus drink is awesome !!!
A. L.
There is not a single thing that could be added to any of the many dishes we shared. The fresh condiments are not require at all, but did add a nice touch to the tablewares. 100% perfection, even the cocktails were also delicious. We will be back.
B. N.
Hands down a great restaurant! I had a group of more than 15 people done here and they had no trouble accommodating the convoluted dietary requirements, crazy costumes, loudness, balloons, and seating for such a large group.
The staff are quick to respond via email, Coming back to me with probably the best quote for dinner catering for such a large group. I actually picked the cheapest option, and there was still so much food coming out of the kitchen! The party raved on about the food and I'm sure magic mountain saloon will get many returning customers from this night! I will definitely be making a come back.
Our wait staff, Jordan was an absolute gem and pleasure to deal with! Highly recommended for large groups!
N.
Absolutely delicious food and they went out of their way to assist with our groups (many) dietary requirements. Excellent for share style dining. Great cocktails too.

Staff were really friendly and helpful when I booked at short notice. Place has a great vibe and red lights and dimly lit upstairs. Food was super tasty and the guy who ran the tables upstairs was fantastic! Definitely get yourself along and check it out!
T. T.
Came here for a team lunch and we all really enjoyed the food - customer service was also excellent! The batter for the Fried Calamari was fluffy and crunchy and the salted duck egg & pickled mayo complimented very well with the calamari. I found the Kale & Crispy Pork Belly to be a little sweet - it's better eaten with rice to balance out the flavours. Presentation for the Green Prawns was on point, though I would have liked it with a bit more seasoning. The Lamb in the Red Curry was a bit plain, but the curry itself was very well seasoned. Presentation for the BBQ Chicken Wings could be a little better, but the Tamarind sauce makes up for it. Peking Duck with flat rice noodles and Turmeric & Coriander Chicken sticks were delicious! Definitely ordering these two dishes again! Will be coming back for Round 2!
C. M.
This place has a nice set up and good drinks selection but it's very loud and is a bit let down by the service, for instance the wine on our drinks order arrived at least ten minutes before the beers. Some of the food was great and others items were only ok. Good for sharing.
S.
One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne that serves amazing Thai food!!! Been a loyal customers over the years. The Fat Duck Noodles is a must! Used to be relatively cheap but unfortunately their price has gone up this year.. :( That's the only downside, but otherwise great atmosphere & great food.
T. B.
Pretty awesome sharing plates and great vegetarian options. Can be pricey if you go for the cocktails but they were so good we couldn't resist. We stayed late but there wasn't any pressure from the staff to move on before we were done having a good time. Highly recommended!
T. L.
Nice Asian fusion cuisine, easy speak environment, we had a group of 5 and had a good time.
Does alcohol for lunch.
Customer service is good, waiting staff can be very friendly which may or may not appeal to some.
Can be a bit hard to find as there is no signboard spelling out the name, look out for a neon sign that looks like an M or two small mountains.
J. k.
Very good Thai food. Servers are kind, food is delicious.
P. Z.
Food was heavenly. But service made the whole experience unfortunate. Long waiting times and when the service did arrive it was rushed. Our empty plates stared at us ready to be cleared for a solid half an hour whilst we attempted to get the waiters attention but went unoticed. We were originally keen on staying in for dessert and a second drink (even if it was a water refill!) but after a long wait and our empty plates staring at us we decided to leave.
R. M.
Love love love it! Have eaten and drank here more times than I can recall. When I think about going out in the city - this is the place. GREAT food (chicken ribs, sticky beef ribs, pork belly fingers, veg dumplings... the list goes on), GREAT drinks (spritzers!!), and GREAT tunes all the time! Have taken SO many friend here and they are all hooked too. Still love Cookie and Toff, but this ones my new fave.
J. F.
Food was amazing, not for the feint hearted really spicy and amazing flavours! Service was impressive as all the recommendations hit the spot. Best scotch egg i've ever had and the soft shell crab was so tasty. Highly recommend this place as great vibe!
B. H. (.
Came here for a feed with friends. We were popped upstairs in the corner. It was a sticky evening - so a little air con or fan action would have been great.
Our waiter was super forgetful about orders - drinks, food and extra plates. With the need to be reminded most of the time. I'd understand if upstairs was full - but there was just another table and ours. They had some problems carrying plates too - a lot of crashing plates/glasses were heard.
This is probably more of a place you want to just drink at - and downstairs - where they have better service, air con and more of a vibe.
D. U.
Great place with great beer selection and very nice food. Service is hit and miss. Prices prevent this place being a regular local eatery and food isn't that special to make it a special occasion place, but well worth an occasional visit to try something else on the menu. Sitting at the counter and drinking some of the beers on tap is worthwhile.
A. W.
The staff are fabulous. Their food and cocktail knowledge are amazing. The food is delicious... But be warned it's all pretty fiery reflecting a true Thai heritage. The the vibe definitely reflects the connection to the Toff in their menu, excellent bar and deep red lighting, but I struggle to give it five stars because I find something about the place a little... Awkward. The DJ (whilst the revolver connection shows in the great taste of tunes) is stuck in the odd tiny little mezzanine between upstairs and downstairs. Whilst I always enjoy having a couple of drinks, usually at the bar with a plate of dumplings I'm never tempted to kick back and settle in like I do at The Toff, Revs or Boney.
R.
Came here for dinner the other night. Extremely busy place. It's like a restaurant bar and night club rolled into one. Music was way too loud for having a dinner. Had to shout all night long to speak to other people on my table. Food was decent not amazing not bad either for the price I think not worth it. Would I come for a drink yeah sure but not for dinner. Nice place to meet friends for a drink around the bar
N. P.
Went here last night. GREAT food, & service was also pretty good. Furthermore he went out of his way to fit us in as we hadn't made a booking. Mental note - next time make a booking first :)
d. f.
The flavors and spices will blow your mind. The chicken popcorn is amazing and will test your capacity to endure spice. The fried rice was also first class. Overall great atmosphere and fantastic food.
P. N.
Food is always amazing and I loved the dark haired girl who served us, she was so bubbly and friendly and shared the same taste with me in red wine. Overall a great experience, will always be back with my interstate/international visitors.
More so than a few cult restaurants I'd say this is a must visit in Melbourne!
R. B.
Nice place, cocktails are good, staff are friendly. Good atmosphere mostly however the intense red lighting makes you feel like you're in a brothel and can cause a bit of a head ache.
J. C.
One of the best places I have eaten at in Melbourne. The food was promptly served even though the place was packed, and everything tasted spectacular. Their lamb curry is amazing and so was their soft-shell curried crab. Some of their dishes has a spiciness that really gives you a kick which makes it even more delightful. Service was fantastic. waiters even helped with finding my lost bag (which I found, thank you!) . They were super sweet and offered great recommendations. Will definitely come back here again!
J. H.
Amazing food, although you do have to pay a bit more than average for it, it's certainly worth it. Great atmosphere inside with a small mezzanine area to enjoy a drink while you wait for a table. One of my favourite places to eat in Melbourne.
X. Y. O.
As we walked into the front door, the waiter asked us to wait so he and his staff can finish their conservation. Wth?!
When we're finally seated, service was fine
Love the dishes (see pictures)
A good table service.
Will come back for the millie cake for sure
A. P.
Quirky venue, lovely staffs and amazing food. Papaya salad and soft shell crab curry are top two you must try! Definitely one of the best in town!
R. W.
Fantastic food, ambience and staff.
I would give it a better than 5 star rating if I could.
J. P.
Mouse in the house!
Enjoyable evening with friends, pleasant food & friendly service. HOWEVER - I was completely wigged out by the number of mice spotted here. We were seated upstairs and continually saw them running back and forth from the bar area to the booths. I raised my concerns with the wait staff and there were blasé about it - explaining that its an old building and there is construction in the area. Staff are also in the habit of stomping on the floor to make them run away, which made me think this is a longer term problem. Some customers seemed not to be fussed by them, while another table immediately left after seeing one mouse at their feet. Personally I don't think this is acceptable and more needs to be done by the restaurant to fix this problem! I hate the thought of mice in a restaurant and probably won't return.
V. L.
Food here is always so good! Defos get the pork belly and veggie stir fry and the SOFT SHELL CRAB CURRY 🤤🤤🤤 And this time when I went our waiter was awesome! Super friendly and helpful!
Defos call before going cause it can get quite crowded and it’s vibes are noisy in a vibey sense so if you are looking to have a super deep conversation I would say look for another place.
B. B.
This place is the best - one of my favourites to visit when I'm in Melbourne CBD. Get food, great atmosphere and great drinks. Music is a little loud for old people like me but still a good variety of music played.
We always get a banquet that they custom make to our groups wants, needs and allergies, so it's always different every time I visit here. But always great !
L. P.
We had the pork belly salad and lamb red curry; both came out very quickly and we're super tasty! The staff were friendly and attentive too. Fantastic experience.
P. F.
Good food, drink, and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, topping up water and asking if we needed anything every now and again. The prices were on the expensive end for both the food and drink but the whole experience was enjoyable.
E.
Nice little place serving Thai fusion dishes. Food menu had a good range of options and what we ordered was delicious. Wide range of drinks available too. Very friendly staff.
o.
Really nice set up. funky with a great atmosphere. relaxed vibe downstairs and a bit more happening upstairs. service was great! the waiter that we had was awesome. I love chillis so the food suited me fine, my partner doesn't eat chillis so she ordered food with no chillis on them as per the description on the menu. pretty much every dish came out with chillis on them. my partner left hungry, but well hydrated and I was stuffed full with goodness. one of the dishes was quite salty too but my beer fixed that. basically if you like good, tasty food with a bit of a kick then go there, if not then don't.
J. C.
Great service, great food menu and a large selection of drinks. Pad Thai is very good! Had dinner for two, but would be good for groups or a drink at the bar.
J. F.
Great food and interesting wine list. Staff are nice.
A. C.
This place is fantastic for Asian fusion food. Open all hours of the day (only closed from 4-7am). They do great dinner, lunch, cocktails and also make delicious breakfast dishes. I can highly recommend this place!
L. L.
Wow I really enjoyed the food here! The staff were super friendly and meals were delicious. It's open late, too! Definitely recommend.
A. M.
Fivr Stars is not enough to rate this place. I set this place as the first stop for me sister's hens night. The staff were incredible. They went so far above and beyond. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was delicious. Thank you so much to everyone that helped and a special shout out to Phill
N. N.
Fabulous food, with tastes that explode in your mouth. Highly recommended.
J. B.
Food is awesome, but I found it quite pricey for just a nibble. The service was great and the staff are friendly. A great place also for casual drinks.
A. F.
Amazing and interesting food, huge selection of drinks, wait staff were phenomenal and after a slight stitchup on the spice front they were very proactive in making in remedying the situation
J. D. (.
A very nice place with a different menu. Thai inspired. It is however quite expensive and also no doggy bags allowed. It would have been good if they did as quite some was leftover. There is no shame in preventing food wastage specially in a profligate nation like Australia.
M. S.
Nice selection of food and drink. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Been here a few times for lunch as well a work meetings. Never been disappointed! Recommend
P. W.
Food is delicious, service is quick and staff are friendly. We will be revisiting!
J. T.
Really interesting menu and great service. Fun decor and food was delicious and good value. Was a little cold and drafty at our table but we very much enjoyed our experience and will be returning ASAP!
J. H.
Awesome decor and setup, great for sharing plates too. Cocktails looked great but didnt order one as they seemed a bit pricey, food was so god damn tasty :)
A. G.
Lovely place with great service. Worth a visit.
N. B.
All the dishes we ate were tasty and well done.Curried lamb cigars had the right hot spice, braised Lamb curry and the soft shell crab were all just delicious.
A. W.
We've been here twice now and both times the food was fantastic and well priced, and the service was next level! Thanks again for a great night out!
N. K.
Amazing food!!
Great service
Good vibes.
I absolutely love this place!
K. M.
The food and drinks were amazing! $60 banquet was well worth it. The staff were fun and friendly.
N. S.
Funky place, great food but expensive for what they serve. The music is very loud so not a place for a quiet chat or a business dinner. We had a very helpful waiter who made our dinning experience very enjoyable.
A. N.
Fantastic bar setting with excellent Asian Fusion food. Has recently been renovated. Was fairly quiet on a Saturday, but would get very busy on a weeknight.
V. P.
The best meal we've had in ages! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely come back when next in Melbourne
S. F. C.
One of my favourite places in Melbourne. Excellent fusion Thai cousine. The place is a little bit hipster but in a great way. Perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner. Good selection of drinks and all beers are on drought. Ah, and free wifi!!
K. C.
Great food, however very busy & unbelievably loud. Great atmosphere if you feel like a night out, however not a place for an intimate chat. Service was also great.
a. t.
A standard Melbourne coctail bar - Average asian-ish food at somewhat high prices, cocktails for the cool kids, staff that are too cool for you. No better or worse than a dozen similar establishments within 200 metres. Meh.
B. S.
We love this place. The cocktails and food is excellent. The staff are always friendly and obliging, and we always have a good time.
M. S.
The green papaya salad is a must-order. The sweet potato curry was quite tasty, too. Lively crowd on a Thursday night made for a fun dining atmosphere while on holiday!
N. A.
In short; cool place, good food, lovely staff, great range of cocktails, spritz and wine.a little too bar like at dinner time, dark and loud.
P. B.
Nice restaurant with pub-like vibe. The menu is Asian inspired. Portion are smallish, but in general food is good. Try the pork belly with coleslaw, it's delicious.
A. S.
I love this place. Have been there multiple times, and tried out different dishes. All of them were great. Will go again and again.
b. g.
Great food and drinks. Customer service was grouchy and hurried. Maítre D' was rude and shouting into his radio all night which ruined the vibe and experience of what is a great bar and restaurant.
M. T.
Great place! Excellent coffee, friendly front of house and outstanding food. Particularly fond of the duck noodles, as well as the sticky ribs.
T. H.
Wow,wow,& wow. This place is amazing we have been in Melbourne 5 days & eaten here 4 of those days. The staff are amazing, Palm & Phil in particular, but the Maitre de Jeremy is world class, he constantly shuffles tables with the greatest of ease always to please the customer. The food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Congratulations to Kathy & all the staff for a great experience & making our Melbourne trip memorable. Brian & Terrie.... see you nye.
A. K.
Great food taste wise but very very pricey for the portion sizing. If you go as a big group it works out better value and atleast you get to try the various dishes.
K. G.
The food was absolutely delicious, staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The design and layout of restaurant is also really cool.
K. B.
Exceptional flavors, service and vibe. We will be back, again and again and again... what a genuine, warm experience with amazing food and drinks. Thanks Gordon! Kaz and Matt, your new best customers
P. N.
Food was awesome. If you like bit spicy thai food then this one is really good. Nice cocktail bar as well.
A.
1/3 waiters were abrupt in the way he talked to us. Food, rest of the waiters, taste, ambience and cocktails were good.
A. M.
Excellent and friendly customer service. Brilliant food with a lot of flavour - quite a bit of spice which I love. Highly recommend the beef ribs!!
N. D.
One of my favorite places in Melbourne.
Lovely ambience, staff, food, and drinks - with a really cool bar upstairs for after.
Partially responsible for my current betel leaf/bo la lot obsession.
G. B.
Great place with a nice atmosphere and very tasty food.
A. J.
Always great food.. with that spice and kick that you want from chilli... definitely food I could not make at home... a waiter who was attentive... overall a recommended venue.
S. L.
I have been here twice. The food is delicious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. LOVE LOVE LOVE this bar and eatery!

A great fusion of Modern and Thai food delivered well. The service and food was great every time I've been here.
C. C.
Modern funky place with nice food and good service. Its extreme noisy so it's not advisable for a quiet meal.
M. Z.
The food is amazing and absolutely beautiful but the DJ here on a Friday will need to be improved. The music selections was terrible and was painful to listen to.
Y. E.
Truly excellent food. The duck, the lamb, the veg, he everything, it's fantastic. It's a little pricey but worth every penny
R. C.
