$7.50 for an "all you can eat" vegan curry, what more could you want? As a budget solo traveller I love this place personally, I know that some people might not think the quality of the food is that great but I say that you get what you pay for. Besides the food itself, the service here is always super fast and the staff are usually very friendly. Highly recommend.

Had dinner there with family a few years ago, we went in there without realising that it was a eat all you can at low price restaurant. So, we were pleasantly surprised to see the low price but the food wasn’t what we expected. Those 4 stars are for the good work these guys are doing for the less fortunate ones, I am not among them & I can’t honestly say that the food tasted good.
A. A.
Absolute best place for a quick meal. The place is unassuming, the menu limited. But the value! Best in Australia if you are after a vegetarian meal with the lot. And the taste has never disappointed. No need to go anywhere else for a quick city lunch or dinner!
R. _.
Great value and friendly service, just found the flavours a little dull. No other items on the menu were available except for the tahli
V. I.
Good food, great quantity, at a great price.
The staff is really nice and polite. The Menu has a good broad range and the place is very student friendly. Om Vegetarian also has light snacking options. The place has vegan options as well. Highly recommend it if you want good Indian food esp. to students. They have multiple locations. Takeaway options are available and the packaging is reusable too !
Definitely try the Chai.
R. M.
Wow! The best value meal for $7.50! You get 3 curries with rice and naan which you can get refilled as much as you like. This is a no frills no fuss place and I also love their samosa chaat!
S. K.
Delicious and authentic Indian meals at a very reasonable price in CBD. Thali meals is priced at $7.5. They also have menu to choose if you want specific dishes. Ood staff and excellent service too.
A. K.
This is the cheapest yet healthy food you'll ever find Inna big city to tame your hunger.......eat as much as you can for a fixed price of $7.50, that's unbelievable! Used to be $6.50 before. Love it!
R. K.
The staff at Om Vegetarian can tend to be smiley and they sometimes become familiar enough with customers to recognise them and be able to guess what they may order based on past experience. The cuisine is Indian and there are various options on the menu. Om Vegetarian caters to those who are on a vegetarian, vegan &/ gluten-free diet without extra charge. You can purchase take away or you can eat there. I thoroughly enjoy the gluten-free ‘Thali Meal’ which comes with papadums, basmati rice and 3 curries (vegetable, lentil & chickpea based). The meal is mildly spicy and you are welcome to as many serves as you wish when you eat there. I personally find it delicious and I endeavour to visit Om Vegetarian when I’m in Melbourne CBD. I would recommend Om Vegetarian if one likes Indian food, has specific dietary preferences, has a large appetite and wants good value for money.

One of the best restaurant for Indian food, amazing and authentic Punjabi taste. Place is very clean and hygienic. It's just next to the Town Hall on Collins St,. Easy access of tram just outside this restaurant.
Team working there is very humble and provide best service as compared to other Indian restaurants in CBD.
One must try their samosa chat, and also their combo meal is amazing with unlimited food, lassi and samosa.
J. D.
Great place for a quick vegan meal if you are in the city. You have an option of the all you can eat lunch set or a la carte meal.
G. L.
We've always wanted to try the "all you can eat Indian" concept, and it just so happens to be that we stumbled upon this little gem. So we thought, why not give it a shot.
Super good value with unlimited re-fills (for food). We downed two plates each. It's a fast in and out, but we went on a quieter weekend so we could just chill as well. The place has a quite nice and warm atmosphere.
I just hoped they would have more choices of curries to choose from.
The Mango Lasi was amazing, so much so that we had to get another one on the go. It's super cheap too at, if I recall correctly $2.50 per cup.
Might drop by next time to see if there are any different curries next time 😊😊
Y. C.
good place for tight budget, very good CP value
suitable for vegetarians
curry in the all you can eat meal is not bad, you can refill the curries, rice and naan until full
masala set is cooked by order, very tasty and smells good
staffs are very nice and willing to provide things you need
drinks here is not expensive too, but if you don't want one, restaurant also provide water for your own service
J.
Very cheap and very fast food on your plate. Don't expect upscale dining. Its real home cooking, slap dashed together. Lots of protein and spices. Well priced, yummy and best of all totally vegetarian
A. J.
I feel only money making is their aim, need to grow up to better if not to Aussie standards. BUT I shall say for the price u pay the food is 7-8/10.
k.
I love samosa, gulab jamun and tea from this place. It is reasonably priced too. Wenever we go to CBD, we always visit to this place. Reminds of Indian taste.
B. L.
If you're looking for cheap, good value vegetarian Indian food, this is the place to go.

Vegan ❤️
Well after trying « Crossways Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant » which was excellent, one day after i decided to try this one.
There are 3 curries, lentille, beans and potato and Naans. They are nice but too much SALTY and SPICY. My mouth was always burning, so hard to enjoy the taste but if you like it like that’s fine.
M. S.
It is the best value of the city! You can get the refill-as-many-times-you-wanna-meal for only 6,50$, which is very reasonable. This meal consists of 2 different curries, including rice and bread (very tasty!).
S. K.
Very nice restaurant. I had a special order of Palak paneer without onion and garlic on a Tuesday. The lady chef made it so tasty can’t thank much. Also the Indian ginger strong tea she made amazed me and my friend. So impressed.
S. H.
Simple food, in Indian words, Satvik aahar, the food that's best for your body and calms your mind...
Quite reasonable too..
F. L.
Always pop in here when I come over from Adelaide, amazing place and very affordable.
B. P.
Great tasting vegetarian. I had the thali meal with mango lassi. The bread was perfect and the curries tastey. Nice spot
R. M.
Easily one of the tastiest, most reliable and most well priced restaurants in Melbourne. As a local I have visited this location at least 30 times and I am never disappointed. Nutritious vegetarian curries, fluffy rice and warm naan for $7.50, it’s just the best. Also to note, I’m a rabid meat eater but these curries are filling and perfectly hit the spot every time.
G. K.
I love this place. Eggplant curry is amazing
D. K.
Four stars is because I'm Vegetarian outstanding value. $7.50 for the thali meal and it's both filling and tasty. Don't expect fancy decor. You can't get a cheaper meal in Melbourne and you probably couldn't make it yourself for less.
U. G.
After coming to Melbourne, I came to know of a place that serves an unlimited Indian thali for just 7.5 $. I went to this place within 3 days of coming here. And I'm not disappointed. I will keep going whenever I go to Flinders street
T.
The prices were very affordable; a good place for students who need a cheap and filling meal.
Had the thali meal and the samosa chaat. The curries in the thali meal tasted much the same, just with different vegetables and were not as spicy as I expected. It was decent but I wouldn’t eat it again. The samosa chaat was delicious and it is great as a small meal if you aren’t hungry.
Overall the food was alright for the price but I wouldn’t think of going there again unless I was craving a samosa chaat.
F. C.
Fantastic place serving free flow thaali: butter naans, vegetarian curries and pulao rice, all for $6.50!
S. T.
This place rocks. I stumbled upon it by accident and I'm glad I stopped.
The food is beautiful and it's so affordable it's any wonder if these people even profit whatsoever.
One of the nicest vegetarian meals I've ever had
m. t.
Excellent value.
The spices and flavour in the food surpassed my expectations and hit the spot. The Naan bread appeared hand made, soft and perfect.
B. v. E.
The price quality of this place is incomparable to other indian restaurants. Really great (home cooked style) food at a very affordable price. I'd go back here many times
M. K.
This Restaurant Offers Wholesome, Delicious ,Affordable Melbourne Dining And Also Promotes The Benefit Of Being Vegeterian..
E. C.
Exactly what it promises to be! Cheap and decent thali all you can eat. No frills but keeps its promise :) can't be disappointed haha; tucked away and a nice little gem as a travelling vego
H. L.
For $7.50 you get a selection of 3 delicious vegan curries with basmati rice and pickles as well as naan with vegan 'butter'. No free refills during Covid, but so plentiful that I couldn't finish everything.
Amazing value
m. n.
I appreciate the owners response to this and taken the opportunity to return , the food is now back to its pre covid high standards and absolutely delicicious . Thankyou for taking time to respond and also return the high quality taste we were used to ,five stars again thank you .
I used to eat here at least once a week , but now my favourite precovid food is revolting. At around the same time the plasyic trays and cutlery arrived so did thesenewrevolting flavours .new chef?old spices? New recipe? No idea but its very sad and now inedible imo
A. N.
All you can eat in $7.5
Specials are really tasty 😋
Malai Kofta is highly recommended 👍
E. R. P.
Very flavorsome and a great deal for the price. The $7.50 thaali meal filled me up and I had the option to get more which I didn't. My only issue is that due to the thin metal dish and how thin the curry was over the dish, it did cool quickly so my food was room temperature after a short while.
r. a.
Very good place with a pretty good price for a nice meal at only 7.5$
s. s.
Such a treat to have a lunch here !!!! In the fast paced CBD life , a restaurant of such quality and quantity is always encouraged. Thanks for the wonderful food within the affordable cost
R. L.
Excellent value for money, tasty too.
K. R.
My go to cheap and filling food place. Extremely well priced, continuously fantastic food, and fast service. Drinks are also cheap, and they have lassi to compliment the curries. The place has a very chill vibe and attentive staff. It's crazy that they're not constantly filled to the brim with customers.
K. B.
Great place in the city, Punjab influenced menu. All you can eat deal is really helpful for students, backpackers, etc.., great quality food as well and welcoming staff.
P. P.
I had today maki Roti with Saag, so yummy and delicious. Taste of Punjab . awesome service. Order was ready in few minutes. You must go there.
S. H.
Very good value for money, great friendly service and excellent food. Not too spicy
J. R.
We enjoyed the refill ("all you can eat") plate which is one big plate with two curries, rice and bread. Especially the lentils curry and the bread were really nice and all in all it was tasty..nothing special but tasty. That you get as many refills as you like for just 6.50$ is great. Can't go wrong with this. The restaurant is not very clean or cozy but the staff is friendly and they handle the busy hours really well.
S. N.
This restaurant is a must visit hidden gem in Melbourne. The food is absolutely amazing, so flavourful and just the right amount of spice. The chickpea dish was divine. The waiter was friendly and kept on bringing us complementary naan bread and tap water. ☺️
H. t.
Good service.tasty curry.affordable price. Totally good place to have lunch/dinner

Cheap place. I think this place exist more for service than profit. Kudos to the founder.

absolutely great value for money!! amazing portion sizes and great quality food!

Food is very good and the quantity is too good for the pricing. IItriwd the mango lassi as well, and it tasted real good. Go with avg expectations and you will love it. Good Indian food for quick stops. Look like in between 3-5 pm, they offer free food(avoiding food going waste). They can improve in cleanliness a bit.
J. T.
Decent Indian veggie food for the price. It is very important to understand you pretty much get what we pay for. Not a place for fine dine but just a simple, no frills, low prices Indian food place. Highlight is all you can eat for 6.5 $. One recommendation for the staff is to improve the customer service experience, with a bit more of attention to customers you can do better. Location is another highlight, close to flinders.
R. H.
For $7.50 - a refillable plate with naan and rice - amazing value and very tasty food. A favourite of ours
J.
A great authentic Indian restaurant, with zero frills and flourishes. Usually, I wouldn't rate a place so highly if the place looked rough and uncomfortable, but this is not where you go to dine like a king. This venue is where you head for authenticity and a full belly.
Order what everyone else does; the unlimited plate. You get two vegetarian curries, rice and some gorgeous fluffy bread served on a traditional metallic dish. Taste the simple pleasures of humble cardamom, cumin and turmeric! Yum! Even the most passionate meat eaters will enjoy this hearty feast.
I guarantee you that any other curry you have in Melbourne after this will be a cheap imitation... and the irony is this would have cost you less than eight dollars!
k. j.
It's a typical Indian daba Melbourne version, good for bag Packers as the food is cheap.. Super cheap. Not the cleanest place but if you want cheap and quick, then that's the place. Very well located on Swanson street, right bang in the middle of the city.
A warm smile awaits you while you eat all you can for just $6.50.
G. C.
To be clear this is essentially cafeteria style eating for the all-you-can-eat option.
The food is amazing. I'm not overselling it. I come here everytime I'm in Melbourne. Usually more than once.
Staff and friendly and amazing.
For $6.50, don't expect fancy dining. The atmosphere is very peaceful and social. Great catch up spot.
Best vegetarian in Melbourne.
R. K.
Bang for your buck and nice home style authentic indian curries in the 7.50 all you can eat thali which you can get refilled. I also love the mango lassi, samosa chaats and makki roti saag. Staff is also nice and fast.
K. M.
Awesome place tucked away along Elizabeth Street. Delicious vegetarian curry, and unlimited refill.
This IS NOT the ‘All You Can Eat Buffet’ style with bad food, bad people, and high prices. It simple, wholesome curry, very good price at $6.50, and if you’re feeling like a little more, you can ask for it. Of course, if you want to binge on naan you certainly can.
This was not a planned visit; I was walking by and saw an older guy sat down spinning a sign - thought I’d check it out, and I’m really glad I did! Really enjoyable meal
S. C.
I like this place very much. I am almost a regular customer here. The pricing and quantity of food is awesome. The quality is also good while for most people who like spicy this is not the place to be but like me those who like less spicy food they are more than recommended. Extreme reasonable price with unlimited refills for the Thali.
M. R.
We had Takeaway. Very substantial portions. Flavourful, and filling food. Definitely value for money.
H. B.
Delicious vegetarian Indian food at an unbeatable price. Ambience is questionable but for a refillable plate of curry, rice and naan at $7.50 I'm sure you would be willing to compromise too.
R. M.
Have been to the other Om on Elizabeth Street so thought i'd check this one out. This Om is a bit more casual and has more of a takeaway feel than the one on Elizabeth street. Its in and out service. The food was just as good and service just as quick. The space is a lot smaller than Elizabeth street, but people turn over pretty quickly. For $6.50 all you can eat vegetarian its about as good as it gets. You get 2 types of curry, rice and naan. What more can you ask for???
G. K.
Best and reasonable place to eat. Food is very tasty ,and also very good customer service. Very cooperative staff .I highly recommend if you like Indian vegetarian food go to this restaurant.
B. S. M.
Im a regular customer and this place is awesome. The price is fair and the food is delicious. My favourite part is when they come out with hot naan to top your thali off. Where else will you get this much in this price? Well done to Om team.
A. G.
Visited a few months back, Beautiful place and would go again. Very nice staff, friendly, attentive. food was really good. I had traditional cuisine and found it really delicious. Kids enjoyed the place and loved the food. Will go again soon.
K. C.
Good food and Fair Price.
A. B.
The $6.50 all-you-can-eat meals are a blessing for tourists and residents looking for good, hot, tasty Indian vegetarian fare. The restaurant makes up for its lack in ambience, decor and facilities with fast and friendly service.
L.
$6.50 all you can eat? Best deal in town. Friendly service, unlimited naan bread, peaceful atmosphere. Could have more variety for the thaali meals but when you're on a budget, who cares about variety?
T. N.
Where else in Melbourne do you find wholesome, healthy and ethical food that tastes great? I have a craving for curry so when I made a wrong turn in a building, I found Om and I am certainly delighted. I enjoyed having a meal in Om. I am glad the owners are very patient to wait for me as I just come sort of, like, seconds from their last order. The food fills both my heart and my tummy.
d. b.
It's a veg restaurant..
All can can eat @7.5$!! & @11$(for lassi & samosa)..
U will get unlimited roti, rice, 1 lentil dal of the day, 2 veg sabzi..
They also do have menu items to order if not thali, desserts, drinks, extra..
It's a minimalist restaurant.. with good food..
Extra star for there service..
If ur lucky sparrow may visit you will ur eating for company..
W. H.
Good value for money $6.50 for all u can eat various vegetarian curries with rice and bread. Food was a bit bland not seasoned enough. The Nan bread was very good.
A. A.
Definitely all you can eat. Lovely food. Very flavoursome, and I have walked away more full than I could have imagined. Conveniently located you entre the arcade off of Swanson st. Staff lovely, music great, nice atmosphere. Samosas some of the best ive ever had. Definitely a top pick.
l. f.
Food is simple and delicious, $7.50 and you can fill up as many times as you want. Not too keen on the seating as there's not enough proper seats and only stools, but still rate 5 stars because it's 100% worth it
L. S.
Extremely good value! The samosa was great but the curries were unfortunately just average, however for a all you can eat for less than 10 dollars what else should you expect?
L. S.
Feel normal about here. Bean curry is better than potato curry, but still tastes a little flat. Love cake the most (I don't know the name, but is the thing goes with the rice), the Bean curry is fine, the drink is nice (even though my friend don't like that at all). An acceptable meal.
B.
absolutely great value for money!! amazing portion sizes and great quality food!
G. R.
Affordable prices, very good food, staff is amazing and friendly all the time. The nan bread is so yummy. Love this place and go very often
A. S.
It was a nice experience to be there and have some food. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff members who listen’s their customer patiently and try their best to satisfy them. I would recommend all to visit there and enjoy there delicious food.
D. T.
Very good place. Staff was polite. Food was served hot and fresh. Bhindi was awesome.
S. M.
Good food and customer service. Had been going there for last 7 years. Very Happy.
P. D.
Had unlimited Veg Thali. The meal consists of Unlimited Nan, Rice and 3 Curries and Pickles. Food was good and the meal costs $7.50.
L. M.
The vegan thaali was a reasonably tasty and filling meal of potato curry and daal. I imagine this is a genuine cheap street style curry. A bit lacking in flavour (though still mildly spicy) and watery but overall good and great that they offer vegan (most curries have ghee). Great value. Can't fault it for the price.
T.
Absolutely amazing. Amazing food and service. The prices are perfect if you're on a budget. 10/10 reccomend. Thanks for playing your part in making the planet a better place.
G. S.
Delicious, light, healthy and fulfilling meal for one and all at an affordable price. Must visit place if you are in or around the city. The customer service is also good.
R. K. N.
Good food. Great motto. They serve free food to those who can't pay, from 3 Pm to 4 Pm daily. The regular buffet is quite affordable and tasty too.
N. S.
Polite and nice staff members, everything was good. But food was not spicy 🔥 . Rest everything was fantastic.
R. K.
Good food, but not too good. You can eat here everyday and not have any ill effects on your health. But if you want tasty food, I'd suggest you skip this one.
J. L.
It was amazing even though it wasn't all u can eat there was so much food that it was wonderful. Great quality 5/5
N. P.
Great prices and surprisingly good food. Yes some people say that the curry is watery but i felt the taste was good. The service was great too. Cant complain about the decor at these prices.
V. D.
If you want to have some cheap, vegetarian, healthy Indian food in Melbourne this the place for you. The atmosphere and the cleanliness is below average but they actually giving food as a non-profitable service to people.
v. y.
Fabulous yummy food and cheap!
S. K.
I have been to this vegetarian restaurant twice, the food is very good, at affordable prices and have many vegiterian food vararieties. Especially hospitality is very good. Food is Indian not much spicy and it's very tasty however I have many non Indians seen in here having food. Best restaurant or hotel in Collin street, Melbourne, Australia.
L. S.
7.50$ for Thali!! And you can refill!! These guys are amazing! Staff is super friendly and professional. Good tasty Desi Khana at a very affordable price!
V. B.
It's a nice choice in city for cheap and good unlimited meal. Specifically preferred to students
a. w.
The food here is cheap and wholesome. Compact cafe with minimum facilities but good value. If you're lucky you get to eat with sparrows as company.
L. U.
The all you can eat offer is great and the taste is good. You get 2 vegetarian currys, rice and naanbread. Been there 2 times and they had exactly the same Curry's so the choice is bit limited.
A. W.
The food is simple but good. we eat there every time we go into Melbourne City. Good value for money and you can go back for seconds of you want...
S. N.
Very good food. Affordable prices. I recommend the paneer makhani, samosa chaat and lassi.
The staff is very nice and courteous.
Few issues though: the taste isn't consistent. Sometimes the Curry is thick sometimes it isn't. Most of the food is over by 8pm.
T. M.
The Collins Street arcade Om used to be my least favourite of the franchises but I went today on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised! The staff are very friendly and the food was amazing. Naan was perfect! Totally recommend the Collins Street!
M. W.
Dinner was an unforgettable experience, not to be missed.
A beautiful restaurant, the food is fantastic, and you’ll be thinking about it long after the meal is over.
We started with the Date & Almond Naan, which was sweet and delicious.
The Butter Chicken, known in some places as Makhni, was tender, moist pieces of dark meat chicken, smothered in a delicious sauce with tomatoes, honey, cardamom, and what I’m assuming was a pound of laxatives.
The Three Greens Saag was wonderful, and not loaded with butter or cream – just fresh and delicious kale, spinach and mustard greens. Hearty, bold and certainly capable of demolishing even the stiffest of constipation.
White dude working the tandoors: you go, sir. The Tandoori Prawns were cooked beautifully, seasoned to perfection, and tore through me with the awesome fury of the horsemen of the apocalypse, Bravo.
The Duck Biryani, a special not on the menu, I would say, is not worth it. It’s two cups of rice and a duck thigh, and we were surprised to discover later that it cost $28. My wife thought it was going to be around $8. My sense of remorse doubled this morning as it ripped its way out of me in a raging fiery whirlwind of poopy terror.
This meal was delectable, exotic, and incinerated everything in my intestines. My morning was an unforgettable thrill ride.
The exotic flavors and aromas of India came flooding back to me as I literally peed out of my butt.
4 stars for the truly delicious food and unimpeachable service, 1 extra for for turning me into a human flamethrower.
L. B.
All you can eat for 7.50 . Real bargain and delicious curry
R.
A basic eatery serving vegetarian meals. Extremely affordable and popular with students and budget conscious travellers. This place gets busy and service can be real slow but that's what you get from a no frills place. Goog vegetarian food at great value.
J. P.
All you can eat for $7.50. It's a bit salty. But it's all you can eat for $7.50. It would be mean to give less than 5 stars.
Y. V.
Good Place for having Indian Vegetarian and Vegan Meals, Snacks, Deserts, and Food Items. Best Price Offers includes a Platter/Thali with Buffet like Refills of all items, which's currently priced around AUD $7.50 or so. This standard Platter/Thali includes Two Curries, one of which is mostly a Dal/Pulses based Curry. and another is Curry from Seasonal Vegetables. The Thali/Platter also includes servings of Plain Rice or Pulao like Rice, and fresh-made, hot, oven-fresh Buttered or Vegan Tandoori Naans (Indian Breads made in Traditional Ovensused for Baking Chappatis/Breads). Choice of Pickles is also available to go along with the Thaali. However, only issue is the usually slow and delayed supply of Naan-Refills to guests, as there seems to be a prefeence to encourage guests to go more for Rice Refills instead of Naans. Comparitively, Rice and Curry Refills are excellent and guest rarely experience delays.
Apart from Standard Thallis/Platters, other limited service Thallis with different Items are offered, such as Stuffed-Breads of Gobi/Cauliflower. This Thaali includes two Paranthas with Chickpea Curry or Curd/Yoghurt. However, these limited-srving Thaalis are priced about 40% higher than the Standard Thaali.
For drinks, Sweetened Mango Lassi and Salt Lassi are standard offerings--priced a bit on higher side.
For Snacks, items like Samosa, Samosa-Chaat, Vadda are offered.
Overall, this place offers reasonable priced items for Vegetarians and Vegans, although there is scope for much improvement and lower prices. The chain has currently 4 branches across Melbourne CBD.
P. C.
Great cheap meal. The food is truly unlimited and not at all untasty. Bread is delicious. Restaurant is a little dirty but it fits with the part of town it's in.
K. M.
Awesome place tucked away along Elizabeth Street. Delicious vegetarian curry, and unlimited refill. …
H. M.
Delicious food at cheap prices! Would highly recommend and will come again :)
A. P.
Incredible staff and quick service, much more in serving than its price, always a go for vegetarian. Om vegetarian best defined on point.
T. H.
Cheap, delicious. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic (and cheap!) lunch/ dinner vegetarian option. Delicious curries and fluffy naan bread made fresh every time. Friendly staff. Feel good environment.
N. A.
Amazing taste of the food i wish i can give 10 stars.
Very Friendly service.😊
Coming again very soon to try other dishes.
N.
Healthy, Tasty, Cheap, Vegan, fast, nice people, that's all i need
E. B.
Cheap and cheerful. The unlimited fresh baked naan is moreish.
M. K.
Best and cheapest place in Melbourne. They serve tasty food in so less but not sure about hygiene though.
S. G.
Thali was good but soy chaap was awesome!
It's achari flavor, I think. Just want to say that it was super duper.
s. J.
The best Indian restaurant in town... Awesome quality food with no unnecessary spices/oily stuff.... staff is really social and friendly. Highly recommended place for vegetarians.
It gives essence of indian home food more or less...
P. G.
Tasty food and value for money. Nice folks, loved the bhajans playing there. Do not expect fine dining experience. Felt like sitting in some Lane in Haridwar or Kashi.
I. S.
Quality Indian food at reasonable price. Good place to have your meal while strolling through city or shopping.
T. S.
nice & cheap & You can refill :-)
N. A.
Amazing taste of the food i wish i can give 10 stars.
Very Friendly service.😊 …
S. M.
A good place to enjoy food worth the price you pay. Food may not be the best but you won't regret it either. Cheap all-you-can-eat.
K. P.
Fantastic (and cheap!) lunch/ dinner vegetarian option. Delicious curries and fluffy naan bread made fresh every time. Friendly staff. Feel good environment.
N. N.
Very cheap indian food for all you can eat. It cost just 6.5 dollers. It comes with Nan and indian rice and two kind of curry without meat. It's good for vegetarians.
V. a. t. L. C.
Extremely affordable, healthy and delicious vegan food, friendly and helpful staff, beautifully decorated premesis and the cutest little sparrows that fly around the dining area, what can I say, one of my favourite places for a vegan girl eat out in Melbourne ❤🐤🥘
N. M.
Excellent value for money.
The food is delicious and the serving sizes are very generous.
Great for a quick lunch in the city.
j. p.
Delicious vegan talis only six dollars. And free refills! Very casual. Bay maries. Hardly any waiting. Always reliable, duck in next to the westpac. It's very morish. Vegan snacks and takeaway. My fave place in the city.
V. V.
Great budget eatery. Not the best looking place but the quantity and quality of food at that price makes up for it. Did get some suspect dal once, better to check once.
L.
Cheap af. Full of flavour (but what Indian isn't?) generally fast and it's all you can eat so you never have to leave unsatisfied. Did I mention it's really really cheap?
Cheap.
S. A.
Over all very good. Food taste is good. Unlimited. It more than worth for the price but you need to compromise on ambiance little bit. one should not expect more than that for the price you pay.
L. V.
The place was too small and loud. The food is amazing but without dessert. If you are vegan you have only water to drink.
The staff was friendly and kind.
s. b.
Being a hard core non-vegitarian most of the time,it was really difficult to like a pure veg rest such a extent that i have to write this review. The food is surprisngly so yummy in a very affordable price without much of spices and oil( ps-indian food is known for high oil n spice content ). Recommended for anyone visiting Melbourne.Veg meal is must try .
N. S.
You get lassi for $1 and 'eat as much as you can' meal for just $6.5! Unbelievable, isn't it? In the meal what you get - Rice, Butter Nans, Dal, One curry, Prickle, Indian dessert - Gajar ka halwa. That's unending! I feel this is a place which Melbourne can proudly brag about!! These people in the restaurant they feed till you are full just for 6.5 bucks. God bless these people! I only hope that they start a non-veg meal quite soon in the near future. The place is perfect for hippies.....
A. M.
Great place for non-spicy , fresh , delicious all you can eat lentil and vegetarian curry with basmati rice and the beloved Naan bread , while you are there be sure to ask for Lassi ( traditional yogurt based north Indian drink with you choice of flavour - mango, sweet or salty ) best of all its 6.5$ and all you can eat with a very calm relaxing ambience and very good north Indian staff. Overall if you are looking to try a scrumptious north Indian vegetarian meal . Try OM !
A. B.
I possess but a rudimentary understanding of the folklore governing Indian spice craft and its delicate implementation. My congenital facility for culinary perception offers little in the way of recompense for scrutiny in this uncharitable industry, yet a tributary of Collins Street in Melbourne's central business district presented me with what I have come to identify as my most confronting test of judgement hitherto.
Om Vegetarian affords a curious atmosphere: one that is modest in appearance but that emanates a comforting level of spirituality and diversity. In plain sight, a chef administers a colourful array of discernibly fresh aromatic spices. Nearby, in the adjoining arcade, a paperboy patiently awaits his paymaster by the foot of a dimly-lit staircase. To his right, seated at the table nearest to mine, a stockbroker surrenders his immediate past to his immediate present. In that same instant, I am presented with my repast.
The fabled Thaali meal imparts a balanced selection of piquant flavourings in steadfast recognition of its origins. It is a truly transcendental experience enveloped in a dish so intuitive yet mysterious that it belies its meagre price. Sufficient time has not yet passed for the cosmos to develop language capable of chronicling this ephemeral venture into indulgent nirvana.
L. M.
Cheap and easy food - $6.50 gets you a refillable Thali meal which fills you up plus unlimited naan bread. Super low key.
T. H.
Very good place.
The food is good, the service is quick and you eat all you can eat for the same price (7,5$)
R. S.
Great little place to eat. Doesn't feel like you are in Australia. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and the place has a great atmosphere. The food is tasty enough too.
C. B.
Quick, tasty food and incredibly cheap! In the heart of Melbourne city, on Swanston St (near Flinders St station). You get a generous serving of naan bread, rice and 2 or 3 curries on a plate, then refill with all you can eat. Mango lassi, yum.
E. K.
It's a good place to have a super, especially if you are into vegetarian and Indian food. For only few dollars you can eat as much, as you can, but you could stand here over 30 minutes.
T. S.
The Lovely and I eat at Om very frequently - which has made trying to cut down on wheat-based stuff really hard... the naan at Om is the nicest I've tasted, ever. (And I include the outstanding naan that I used to get from Mr Tandoor in Richmond in the early 90s).
Excellent tasty food, cheap as chips, nice people: if I could change one thing I would get rid of the posters and what-not espousing a lot of relatively benign spiritualist tosh... but I'm a militant atheist, so I tend to react badly to all that stuff.
Plus, it's $6.50 for a BIG dish of tasty food, and endless naan top-ups: you would be a dill to let a bit of mysticism put you off - and I'm not a dill.
T. R.
Thaali meal for $7.50 - this was so good! Tasty, fragrant and a pleasure to eat. Also delicious mango lassi!!!!!!
N.
soulfull and healthy food for a great price. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Thank you!
C. W.
Menu confusing, claims to vegetarian but vegan, non English speaking, items on menu are hard to understand e.g vegetarian dish with vegan shrimp but oyster sauce. Good prices and friendly though!
C. D.
All you can eat is now $7.5 but definitely worth it. Better food than most of the similarly cheap vegan restaurants in the area
V. D.
Tasty indian food served in the heart of the melbourne city. Thali meal is the best option. The quality of roti (naan) cannot be questioned for such a low price. The best part is that you can refill.
G. O.
Good cheap vegetarian food. Daughter is a big fan.
S. K.
Excellent food. Service is efficient. Staff are friendly. Chanting in the background is continuously happening. I am sure the food is blessed and this is positive eating. Enjoy
C. K.
The food is pretty healthy ,and the prices are terrific,4 stars from yours truly..😎Chris.k
M. D.
How come you people are still looking at this review. . Go grab a meal for just 7$ . Ambience isn't great though. . Music is a bit loud as well.. but food is authentic. .
P. P.
Value for money, and good taste...maybe could improve a lil bit in furnishings.....but guess at $6:50 a plate (bread, rice, 1veg and 1 dal all unlimited) u are getting the best deal
G. N.
Value for money wholesome Indian food - Thali with hot naans, two vegetables, rice and dal - unlimited quantity. Fast service as well. Crowded during lunch time
A. F.
This place is the best if you often feel bad spending money when eating out
A. K.
Wonderful food in the heart of Melbourne.Seems run by Indian spouses only whose husbands are working. Very much affordable and tasty food.
a. a.
I loved the food there.Nice and cheapest veg restaurant. 6.5$ for meal with unlimited curry and bread.I highly recommend this place to visit.

The second best vegetarian value meal in town. Delicious Curries and Buttery Naan 👌. Hygiene and cleanliness is a big minus here. Need to improve on being clean.
R. R.
Best food for great prices. Nice place to have peace of mind and a healthy meal.
M. K.

A. D.
The food was fine. Not sure if the cutlery is old or dirty. We were two. We ordered the same things but our plates were different.
D. S.
Lovely meal, friendly staff. Excellent prices
D. F.
I am not a vegetarian but thought I'd broaden my horizons. It's cheap but it's clearly just slop. A bit of rice and some lentils, healthier than hungry jacks I guess but not sure I'll be back.
R. K.
Dirt cheap food. Unlimited thali for single digit. But not spicy. Food was bland. Service is good.
T. K.
Good food. Small place. Eat all you can but very limited menu. Not tasty. You get Indian food here.
K. W.
Great Indian food at amazing prices
H. M.
Delicious food at cheap prices! Would highly recommend and will come again :)
R.

A. M.
Even though the price of the food is not that heavy on the pocket, the quality of the curries served here and the overall ambience of the place is not something i liked.
M. M.
Food is always on point amazing. But the new location is a bit of a disappointment, the old location had a really nice vibe.
