Great place for quick and tasty Japanese food. The main dishes were clearly the highlight here and had good portion size, with options for going large. However, the side dishes are bit lack luster.... The interior is interesting looking with the window seat facing the road to be the best in my opinion, not a big fan of the music though... I would also be a bit cautious getting the "Wagyuu" beef, then again what did you expect from a fast food restaurant.

LOVE this little restaurant. I stumbled upon this restaurant in 2016 because I love matcha and wanted to try the ice cream. It did NOT disappoint. Seriously one of my favourite ice creams. The rice bowls here are also excellent, this time I enjoyed the Katsu curry with tempura prawn and an egg. There was nothing to fault as usual. This place is well priced, the staff are helpful, and it’s in a great location. Always love coming here when I’m in Melbourne.

Vegan Katsu Curry wasn’t very good. Crumb was nice and curry sauce as expected, but the mock chicken itself was disgusting. Very slimy and mushy, but also quite chewy at the same time. Not pleasant. With all the chicken substitutes out there these days, they can do better.

Really delicious speedy meals. We stumbled upon this place and found it very satisfying. Try adding the egg to your curry rice to up the pleasure. Also dont miss out the "crab ball" filled w pure crab meat. Pure pleasure. Their yuzu juice complements the meal really well.

I had the teriyaki rice bowl. The meat was amazing and the rice was also very good!Nevertheless, it was too less food in the bowl. I definitely could have eaten more. This takeaway or eat in venue offers “Michelin style” ‘Wagyu Beef with Truffle sauce’ for under $10. There are many fresh, quickly served meals to choose from; great for a work daily lunch. For desert - try a ‘Green Tea Ice Latte soft serve’.

Quick and easy meal for a great price. Paid $9.50 for a very large bowl of teriyaki chicken with egg in rice. Chicken was great and flavour was really good. A really good option for those looking for a filling and satisfying meal, the price is a bonus. Would definitely come back to try their other dishes. Just make sure to ask what is available if you are coming at closing time, as tonkatsu and salmon were not available 30 minutes prior.

I am a vegetarian so it’s hard to appreciate international cuisines sometimes due to lack of options but I was pleasantly surprised here. They didn’t have many options but the ones they did were good. I actually finished my plate and completely enjoyed it. The flavours were good and the dishes were fresh. The only drawback is the seating in this place. However, they don’t claim to be a restaurant but a food court of sorts so I will give them that.

Totally ignored me till i went around the corner looking for them. This was not peak time. Also a big negative for me is the amount of single-use plasticware used. Drinking glass, cutlery, sauce dipping containers! Seriously, for an eat-in place, you would hope they would use washable plastic. Most Asian places have reusable plastic or melamine cutlery/ dishes. Good place if you don't mind inattentive staff and using heaps of plastic that could be avoided.

1st time we came here for dinner. The spicy pork belly is quite delicious but a bit too salty. The chef/cook was much more friendly. However, the cashier serving us was very unfriendly and rude in fact as kepy showing her frustrations all on her face ("black face!") when I asked her about whether I can pay by credit card for my dish or not and also I would just like to pay separately from all the meals that different people were ordering at the same time. My meal was already more than $10 which was entitled to use credit card but she did not bother to explain this to me at all, just answered "..you need to spend $10 then only you can use credit card", so I didn't know my meal was already eligible to pay by credit card & thought it was less than $10 so that's why I asked to combine and paid together with another dish. She was obviously very unhappy and extremely frustrated with my request, just kept staring at me while I was trying to pay. Again I asked what type of credit card can we use, she said:"Any!" But when I took out AMEX, she then said:"No, you can't use it." Then I reminded her that:".. but just now you answered any credit card." She then stared at me even longer and looked very fierce to me!

It's NOT HALAL and NOT VEGETARIAN at all. All menu are not halal, even the seafood or vegetable fries, udon/soba and salmon are not halal. Except (maybe) the Ice cream and cold sides like mochi, edamame and salad. All menu marinated with sake (alcohol), and the fries sides are fried with pork. However, the Ice cream are yummy and I like it! The price is pocket friendly, recommended place if you like Asian food but not recommended if you are a good Muslim and are a vegetarian!

My memory of the rice was always good. I tried chashu pork ramen with tonkatsu soup base today. The only thing I don't like is the ramen. The ramen had a taste too strong that almost overpower the yummy soup base. I hope they change their ramen supplier.

There is also of variety from Katsu curry, teriyaki, ramen, Udon, and slot of side dishes. Their popular dish teriyaki was rich with that teriyaki taste and the meat was flavoured throughout. And if the you wanted it to be more your taste, there are sauces and toppings to adjust to your liking.
