Can't rate this place highly enough, best banh mi in Melbourne. I'd say it even surpasses Bun Bun Bakery in Springvale (they are cheaper but you get more bang for your buck here). They don't skimp on quantity or quality, their banh mi and salad bowls are stuffed to the brim and always incredibly tasty. Rice paper rolls have way more salad than noodles (only a teensy bit of noodles in there) which is awesome. Worth the queue. Must try items are the crispy pork roll and T&L special. For vegos definitely get the fried eggplant roll.

The best banh mi in Melbourne - All on the menu are great but a special shout out to the crispy pork. The staff are always so friendly and we love supporting this small business that we come here even after moving away from Richmond. There's always a line out the door but don't let that dissuade you, they are well worth the (short) wait. Totally loyal to T&L for banh mi.

This place gets crazy packed after 12:15pm during lunch, so try to come before that to avoid the long queues. I’ve seen lines as long as 30m. Ordered the crispy pork bun mi and you can’t go wrong with it. Had plenty of crackling skin in mine, which is my favourite part! They accept CC.

Chrispy pork rolls are the best i have had, i have eaten many all over melbourne and sydney. My only criticism is that the rolls are never crunchy and if you go in the afternoon they can be really average which is a shame because the flavour is amazing.

I've tried the awesome BBQ Pork Banh Mi from the infamous Nhu Lan Bakery in Footscray before but T&L is now easily the best Banh Mi place for me. The one I had at Footscray was awesome and I didn't think T&L would be able to top that but boy was I wrong. It just blew me away when I tried the amazing Crispy Pork Banh Mi at T&L. Hands down the best Banh Mi in Melbourne!

Absolutely amazing place. I work in a shop nearby so im a regular here, I've tried almost all the menu and all is yummy! Plus the lady working there is such an angel, so generous and friendly as the rest of the staff. I wouldn't try any other Vietnamese bakery in Richmond, there is simply no need to. Roast pork banh mi did not disappoint. These epic Vietnamese creations can so otter fall short of the mark, but when they are done right, they really are the king of the sandwiches! Textually fantastic, delightfully balanced with the pickled carrot/rich roast pork, and the firey little inclusions of chilli just added to the taste... Washed down with a delicious Viet iced coffee and I was in my happy place...

Almost too much crispy onion thou almost turned into a classic crisp sandwich. Bread could have been a bit more airy and crisp . Friendly lady serving also. Prices seem to have gone up now $9 a roll

If there where 6 stars id give the 6 stars. This place is by no means "glamourous" but...... for 8 dollars a sandwhich could not be any better even if you spent 100$. The staff are friendly and fast, i have had salad rolls from here which put meat sandwhichs to shame ! And then the meat sandwhichea from here OMG to die for. What a find, the website picture is true every time we come to T&L there are customers lined up, the service is fast therefore you do not wait long. The food is so good and service friendly that it is why everyone goes to T&L, the prices are good too! so pleased this was within my 5km radius during Lockdown. I can confirm (along with many other of the reviews here) that the crispy pork banh mi roll from T&L Bakery is the best in Melbourne! The staff here always have the biggest smile on their face and always pack the banh mi to the brim with delicious fillings. A few times I've just happen to be there at closing time and they've offered some free side snacks in addition which was so lovely! I'm so glad I live just up the street as it's my favourite cheap-eat on Swan Street.

This place has only one shortcoming. They’ve not yet thought of a way to stop customers inhaling the food before they make it 5 metres from the door. After many years of trying melbourne's Banh Mi explosion... I can happily say this may be the best. I’ve eaten from here 30+ times and not once have they every disappointed. The chicken, bbq pork and T&L special all are equally amazing and never fail to wow. But the star of the show is the crispy pork. Not to mention the staff. Always friendly no matter the size of the swarm of people.

The meat looks soo amazing and it’s all fresh. The meat was so succulent. I had the pork roll and have to tell you it’s the best Vietnamese roll I have ever had! Love this place, have been a regular for quite some time. The only thing I would request is that sometimes it's hard to line up because it's not clear where the line should start or end, who is waiting to be served etc, if you could put some markings or signs on the floor so people don't cut in that'd be awesome! I don’t want to say the banh mi was life changing, it seems like too much of an exaggeration, but it did lift my flagging sprits and fill me with vim for the afternoon.
