Nice cozy little place. I was with 2 other friends. I ordered the BBQ pork neck (this is really nice) fried cuttle fish is decent only. Chicken Pineapple fried rice is nice (portion is huge for me). Overall it's not the traditional Thai food like in Thailand. It's a nice aussie style Thai.

Amazing food!!! This is our go to venue for thai food. Everything we have had here is delicious. The green curry is a must & so is the pad thai. The spring rolls with dipping sauce is delicious as well.

Highly recommended if you're after a nice thai cuisine around Southbank and South Melbourne area. Our order was pork boat noodles and Tom yum soups. The boat noodles was very tasty with generous servings. Tom yum soups can be adjusted for the spicy level, and equally tasty. The wait is a bit longer than expected, but justified given staff shortage across all hospitality industry. Will come back.

We ordered the Garlic Fried Rice, Grilled Pork Neck Laab and the beef Pad Thai. The fried rice was pretty average, could barely taste any garlic flavour in it. The pad thai was flavoursome but i felt the noodles were a little bit undercooked and the beef was a little over cooked/tough. The Laab salad was great though, the grilled pork neck was tasty and it went really well with the salad and the dressing. They weren't busy in terms of eat in customers, but definitely saw a fair few uber eats and menu log riders. They also charged 0.50c per take away container...

Good food! Try the Thai 29 Salad. We had one eith the beef and it was good. It was my first time to have Thai green curry eith bamboo shoot and I must say that it was unique. Ask for chilli to be put on the side if your not keen on too much spicy food.

Authentic and affordable. We came for the Thai Boat Noodles beef (savory sour hybrid like Vietnamese pho and tom yum soup). Better and cleaner tasting soup than ones in Bangkok. Also enjoyed their pad see ew chicken and pad kee mao (spicy). One of our favorite finds in Melbourne!

Lockdown makes you realise what you miss. Unfortunately Thai 29 was outside our 5km radius and we have been craving it for a very long time. Today we were able to pick it up and it was as amazing as we remembered. Best Thai food around!

Damn nice food. We all enjoyed this immensely. Such a lovely experience, ordered through Menulog which was simple and quick. We needed good food in our hotel room because we are couldn't bare going out after a big day. Reception called up to our room to let us know the delivery was in the lobby. The green and red curry were beautiful. We had satay chicken too all in medium heat. These were all lovely dishes. We also had pad thai, this wasn't the most flavourful pad thai ever, but it was made lovely with juices from the other dishes. Thank you to Thai 29.

If you're a Thai food lover and live around Southbank , this is must place to be. The staff is very friendly and they have amazing variety and the taste is just brilliant. I once ordered food online and they ran out of chicken wings, so I cancelled the whole order. The owner offered to provide a complete refund and give the remaining meal for free. Thank you!

Food good. However the complex set of payment rules is a huge turnoff. Surcharges to pay by card no matter how much you spend (price varies depending on spend) , no split bill (even though they charge a surcharge to pay by card), discounts for cash. This means the menu prices are false as under no circumstances do you qualify to pay for the menu price. Won't be back
