Grabbed some take away from here. My fish burger with spicy sauce was good, the salad was fresh, the fish tasty, but personally I didn't like the hamburger bun as it had no texture and no flavour. It was like a sugar bun which is not for me. The additional fish burger that my partner ordered was good too, ans the pineapple added some additional sweetness was tasty. The potato cake was tasty and not greasy at all. But the overall winner for me was the sweet potato fries which were seasoned well, and they tasted like beer battered chips. They were really moorish. The ease of ordering through google was great, user friendly and no fuss.

You will not find a better fish & chip place in Melbourne. Period. Fresh fish on display and arrives daily. Very reasonably priced. Awesome lunch deals. Great staff. I can’t commend this place enough. Burger lunch special is one of my favs along with the calamari salad. Bought some fresh blue grenadier & salmon to cook at home and amazing.

The best fish and chips take away in all of Melbourne ... EVER! We had the salmon with sweet potato chips, calamari, plus battered flake with dim sums and potato cake. The Salmon was cooked and lightly seasoned to perfection. The sweet potato chips were slightly crispy with a nice coating of salt flakes. The calamari was the most tender I have ever eaten .. I thought I had had great calamari before .. but now I'm doomed to always compare future calamari to what I had tonight. The battered flake .. I don't know what batter they use .. it's something cross between a tempura and heavy batter .. meaning it was a heavy coating .. but was light and ultra crispy. My partners says the potato scallops were huge and fantastic .. and the deep fried Mars bar was nothing like what he had before .. it had some kind of donut / cinnamon batter. Will only be ordering seafood from these guys from now on!

The service was very good. Friendly guy. Three salt and pepper calamari was cooked to perfection and very tasty with a nice aoli on the side. The potato cakes were good and the cold beer spot on. Exactly what was needed on the hot day.

I personally don't realy like fiah and cheap! But this restaurantb looks abit different from other fish and cheap! Order some platter still oily like other fish and chips but my husband find the burger delicious maybe because its a fish burger. Over all we are happy with the service and the place that very clean. I ordered Lunch special Fish(battered)and chips with potato cakes. The fish was Flake. It was so tasty and rich in good fatty. Sweet potato chips was also awesome!! Not oily but tasty. I will definitely come back.

This is just a perfect easy going place. The place is not fancy, but perfectly clean and neat. Food is amazing and in a healthier and cleaner cuisine. Staff is friendly. The only no so good thing I would say is that it is a bit cold inside. But, again, totally recommended.

A bit hit and miss this place depending on how busy they are. The fish can be very oily at times. Also seafood stick was missing from my order. Only realised when I got home and opened the box. They should check to make sure everything is in there before it is given to the customer since we have paid for the items. Chips were a bit tasteless as well.

Delicious food, def the best fish and chips in Melbourne I’ve tried so many places and these guys got it right, battered snapper with chips is just sublime. Sides like prawns and calamari are also great and cooked to perfection, not overly oily or greasy. Always thorn free, a bit pricey is the only downside, keep up the good work!

I wandered past this shopfront on my way down Bridge Road and then my stomach almost did a doubletake. I immediately had a desire for classic fish and chips, so I did a smart right and went up to the counter. The cook was affable and most pleasant and I was quickly able to place my order for a small serve of chips and a piece of grilled flake. There is uncrowded internal seating at the back, as well as some bar style seating near the counter, and a few tables on the pavement. I chose the back area and placed my order number stanchion on a corner table, and was comfortably able to read my tablet and catch up on my emails during the short wait for my mral. The seating was basic and reasonably comfortable, but very clean, and the back area was not at all noisy though it was half full. And my meal turned out to be exceptional. Golden crispy crunchy traditional straight cut unsalted chips that were piping hot and not at all oily. And the fish was lightly browned and succulent. This was seriously the best, most simple, plate of fish and chips I have had in years. Perfect! Served with a wedge of juicy lemon, the tabletop condiments included sprinkle bottles of malt vinegar and a salt shaker. I sprinkled the vinegar and squeezed the lemon and salted my meal and ate every single mouth watering crumb. Now fish and chips can sometimes come back to haunt me in form of heartburn .. These did not. They sat very comfortably in my most satisfied tum, and a couple of hours later I was still almost purring very contentedly. And my total bill was less than $12. My wallet approves too. Heartily recommended.

The best fish and chips in Melb! We just had a great dinner at The Fish Market. My WA barramundi was lovely and fresh and perfectly cooked. And for dessert I couldn't resist trying a deep fried snickers. It didn't disappoint and I'll definitely be back again.

Fresh seafood and an option of being grilled or fried. They serve with chips but also have salad options. So you can go and be healthy and have a grilled fresh fish with a lovely salad, or be a huge fatty and have a massive deep fried fish and chips. I went for the second option 😂
