Well spaced out and pleasant locale. Parking nearby was pretty easy to find. The menu was not extensive however all were very happy with their meals. The staff knew their stuff which was nice. Considering there was a vegetarian, a coeliac, and a dairy free eater. Highly recommended.

Quality food, good vibes. Always has sport on the tv and the open fire places are a nice touch in winter, then the courtyard out the back is great in summer. Staff always super friendly. Food has gotten a bit more on the $$$ ($35-40 for a steak). Great for the occasional visit but prices make it hard to be a regular dinner spot. Also recommend dining during the week if you are hoping for a dinner - they advertise kitchen closing times but if it is quiet they sometimes close earlier and have been caught out once or twice before.

Good local pub. Generous food and meal portions which are very tasty. Serve non-alcoholic beers and gin which is good for an evening out during dry July. Service was good and friendly. Not the most beautiful pub, but a great place to go and meet friends, drink and eat.

Well, the overall food quality is good. Chicken Parma has a good size, the steaks are delicious and the fries and wedges are yummy. Beer happy hour is in a good time of the day. We also ordered a Mojito for $18. Not worth the money, low taste and low amount of alcohol. Stick to beer and you are fine. The service is great and the location beautiful. We have been in the outside part in the far end. Nice decoration, plants and a good overall style.

Exactly what a $26 Parma should look like. Upon arrival at The Leveson we were warmly greeted by John and Emma before being seated. The new paint job and decor was a great addition as was the same excellent service I’ve come to expect from The Leveson. Other pubs should take note as, of the 4 I’ve visited since lockdown, this was by far the best food, best service and best all round experience I’ve had. Will definitely back and recommending The Leveson to all that will listen. Thank you John and Emma, can’t wait to be back again soon.

An excellent multi-level fully renovated hotel in a quiet street in North Melbourne. 4 adults and 4 children under 12 enjoyed very good pub food for a total bill around 200 bucks, including drinks. I'm certain my most enjoyable flathead tails were made from fresh local produce, the beer battered chips were seasoned to perfection and my leafy salad was crisp and tasty. The slice of pizza I tried was terrific, too. Highly recommended.

My friends chicken schnitzel was undercooked so they sent it back and gave us a new one. Wait was around 40 mins but we were fed in the end. Bar staff were especially friendly. Great pub vibe.

My favourite pub in North Melbourne. My favourite night is the Wednesday Steak night. Steak plus wine.. with the choice of mushrooms or peppercorns sauce. Monday they’ve got burger night, Tuesday is Parma night. The pie night in Thursday’ was fun too. The place is quite big, perfect for birthday or any special occasions. It has a cute courtyard at the back.

A visit to Melbourne allowed us to catch up with old friends - we had been to The Leveson previously for a birthday function but this time was lunch. Right from the friendly greeting at time of arrival the staff certainly know how to make your visit welcoming. We had a table in the restaurant section and were able to enjoy looking out onto the courtyard. The service was excellent and the quality of the food superb. Pricing was very good and they have a comprehensive range of wine - even if we did indulge in the second bottle of red. !!! Well worthy of a future visit.

The Parma is definitely a must-try. One of the best in the area, a decent serve of meat, with a side salad and chips. Great value for money for a pub meal, and good options for beer jugs at an acceptable price. Another good dish is the Caesar Salad. Downside is that the place can get overcrowded, which makes the dining area challenging to have a conversation in. On most nights it’s pretty good though. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Amazing. My friend, Dave, and I came to The Leveson for dinner on the 19th of February, a warm summer evening, in search of one thing: the famous Leveson Parma. We turned onto Leveson St, briskly walking to our 7:30pm reservation, ready to be greeted by the staff. Though upon our arrival the first staff we met, a young man in his 20's, said "Scan in to register". I looked at Dave, he looked at me. The sweat precipitating on our brow. Twenty minutes earlier, forgetting about the COVID-ridden world, we left our phones at home to charge. Scared, we turned to the man and our voice broke "We left our phones at home" as we turned to leave admitting our mistake. "Wait, you can sign in on mine" he said. A glimmer of hope arose in our hearts. What a saviour. We were let in, and sat at our table with the friendliest waitress who didn't remind us of our thoughtless mistake. We had The Parma, and were very joyed. We left with full bellies. But better yet, we left with full hearts. Thank you.

The Leveson situated in a side street of North Melbourne is really 'a hidden north Melbourne gem'. I have attended my brothers 21st birthday, their restaurant and bar with my friends and each experience was delightful. The staff, atmosphere and food are amazing. Can't wait for the warmer weather so i can take full advantage of their great courtyard (probably the best in Melbourne) & delicious cocktail jugs. I highly recommend the Leveson.

The Leveson Hotel in North Melbourne is the best place to have a charity foundation meeting! The staff, the dining food, the atmosphere, the welcome we received was fantastic. The East West Overseas Aid Foundation had their Annual General Meeting there last night and all who attended loved the place! Their private boardroom fit all 15 of us; it was perfect in every way. They tailored to all our needs and we definitely want to do this again at the Levesons'. Many thanks to Emma, John, Ryan and other staff for this lovely hospitality!

It's OK. Surprisingly large venue, good little garden space out back, friendly enough staff. Can't comment on the kitchen. Regrettably, during our visit the neighbourhood knobheads had chosen The Leveson for a noisily drunken carry-on and sex toy expo, which rather spoiled our expensive drinks. That crowd seemed very comfortable and familiar with the place, so I'm guessing they and their friends will still be there the next time I'm passing by. . . . Setting that aside, The Leveson's got the corporate-pub-managed-by-professionals vibe that keeps it out of the four star ranks in my book. Not objectionable, just incapable of attaining true pub greatness under the current business strategy.

This is a major drinking spot. Food comes a distant second. has the feel of a sports bar or a footballers owned bar. Most friday/saturday nights has wasted ladies teetering out on high heels, bacardi breezer in hand, while several men surround them. Often loud and overcrowded, its nice enough but soulless. Seems dead unless it's usual heavy drinking nights/occasions. Eaten here twice but nothing that nice, again wasn't bad, prices ok, service ok, but again with so many AMAZING places close by, this needs to smarten up if want more regular punters in for food or drink.
