Loved the ambience here. Food portions were big and reasonable for it’s prices. Each dish had a good amount of flavor in it. I especially liked the spanakopita manti. The snapper fillet was pretty good as well. The pork belly was too tough for my liking. Overall, a good place for a dinner with great views.

We had breakfast here over a couple of days while staying at the hotel. This newly open restaurant is really a secret gem for Melbourne's competitive breakfast scene. They have all the classic brekkie options with extra touches that make them really memorable dishes. The highlights were the Mediterranean Scramble Egg, the pork sausages, and the mushroom & vine tomatoes. Service was fast and really friendly. Best of all, the great views from the 25th floor truly make this a very unique spot .

Toma is beautifully decked out in earth tones and sits pretty on the 25th floor, surrounded by views of high rises. It’s a lovely, relaxed but upscale environment which makes it great for professional meet-ups but also just a nice dinner with friends. Also, their happy hour cocktails at $14 are a STEAL. Kingfish ceviche w/ corn and watermelon ($22) has a great blend of texture and flavor. The sweetness adds a great balance to the tangy citrus taste, and the kingfish was lovely and fresh. Me and my friend personally didn’t love eating it with the corn chips and preferred eating them as individual components so that we can get the full burst of flavor, but that’s down to preference! Spanakopita manti ($18) are these little pockets of goodness that come in a beautiful burnt butter sauce. There’s just a bit of crispiness in the outer casing, and the insides are beautiful, creamy, and flavorful. Smoked eggplant fava w/ pita ($15) is a BARGAIN, ok because the pita is refillable!! The pita comes out steaming, and the dip is fantastically smokey with some crispy bits of chickpea on top. Very very satisfying and a great snack to have over chats! Slow roasted lamb shoulder ($46) wasn’t a favourite just because it was a bit underseasoned. The cook on it itself is fabulous because it’s tender and falling apart, but we sorely missed some flavouring - salt, pepper, anything on the insides especially. It was a bit bland. Even when we’re eating it with the pickled cabbage, it’s not quite savory enough. However, it was mentioned that due to the transition in season, the lamb is a bit fattier than usual and slightly harder to work with so it may be down to teething issues. Overall, it was still a lovely experience, and we wouldn’t mind revisiting later on down the track for the drinks and entrees (all of which were good!) Had dinner here last night. Absolutely sensational. Taramasalata, kingfish ceviche, spanakopita and lamb shoulder were all amazing. Cocktails were great too. And the views. Just wow all around. We'll be back. Generous portions too.

Highly recommend this place. We went there for birthday dinner. The food was divine. The staff was super friendly & nice, especially Jasmin. She gave us complimentary desserts. The view from the 25th floor is breathtaking. I wish I can give more than 5 stars!

Magnificent! That’s what we thought as we made our way through the Chef’s recommendation. Placed in a tiny lane between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane, at the Hyatt Central… but I’m sure that in (not so distant) future, the Hyatt will be known for TOMA. We loved the entrées, the mains… but I have a special place in my heart for the Baklava inspired (Parfait, custard and Raspberries) dessert, that stole the show!!!

Food is delicious. Served as shared style, with Mediterranean influence, we had the Mezze platter to begin, pork belly and beetroot salad to share as mains and the baklava to finish. Disappointingly the mezze didn’t come with the olives that were on the menu, but overall food was nice. Where the place gets let down big time is the service. Staff seemed confused about what was going on, we had multiple wait staff throughout our dinner and many times we were asked the same question by different staff. At one point we had 6 copies of the menu because people just kept bringing it over. Drink orders were confused on more than one occasion and they were so slow to collect payment after they provided us the bill. We actually could have left without paying and no one would have noticed! The staff dress code was also pretty unbecoming of what is trying to promote itself as a 5 star hotel and restaurant.

Chefs selection is a must we were lucky enough to get a the mezze and ceviche and eggplant fava followed by a crispy skinned snapper, beetroot salad and roast pumpkin all was amazing! Service was outstanding and the paloma cocktail was sensational! This new venue is a must with amazing panoramic views of the city…will be back
