Friendly service, outstanding food and memorable experience! We had the Linguine Vongole (w house made bottarga ... how good is that! 😋), the Sardinian Fregola (w mussels n prawns) and a Margherita pizza (made in a woodfire oven, as it should be). Mirtho Amaro (the only place you can get it in Perth) and an amazing Affogato to finish the night that was perfect to the last detail! It is run by the owners (twin brothers) and the southern Italy influence brings a new range of flavours and textures that elevate this place to one the best (if not THE BEST) italian restaurant in Perth! The place is small with a nice cozy atmosphere. The outdoor area is more casual and suited for the summer (but not really usable during winter) so capacity is limited.

Highly recommended. Everything on the menu was a flavour explosion and the chocolate cheesecake was to die for. Our pastas took awhile to come out, but the restaurant was aware of this and gave us complimentary drinks to make up for it, was worth the wait. Definitely will be back!

North Perth, a neighbourhood Italian restaurant Acqua e sale, it is influenced by southern Italy's Sardinia island. We booked online as it's a small restaurant and limited seating inside and out. We didn't have an entree as we aren't hungry. We ordered two main dishes on the menu: Spaghetti Neri Allo Scoglio - Homemade squid ink spaghetti, fresh market seafood in a cherry tomato sauce with a touch of chilli and bottarga. This dish is my favourite; it's a packed punch of flavours. Homemade fregola with king prawns and asparagus it's their special which isn't on their menu. The flavours of the dish are very delicate and subtle. We ordered a dessert to share Trio di Formaggi - Gorgonzola, pecorino and taleggio cheese with pane carasau, jam and walnuts. It's not a typical dessert that you see in a restaurant, that's why we ordered it. I enjoyed the dessert; it's impressive.

Wow, what a surprise. Made a last minute booking for an early Thursday night dinner for the two of us. Read some reviews & thought I'd give it a go. We walked in and were immediately made to feel welcome. The waitress clearly knew what she was talking about when I asked her to explain the menu & food to me. Pizza to start with 10/10, one of the best crusts we've eaten & then more dishes to share, risotto was excellent. This place is the real deal. Well done to the brothers & the whole team. Excellent, perfecto and delicioso! Honestly great service, staff there really know their food and wine to recommend. We had the special lobster linguini pasta and it was absolutely divine, everything was cooked to perfection, not cheap but def worth it! The place was so busy, the food were great. We had the zuppa for entree, great flavours, I love the chewy bread, sooo good. We had the Quatro formaggi pizza (so creamy and delicious), the duck pasta (also good and different) and I can't remember what my husband get but it was this light linguine with clams. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the long wait, we had to wait for an hour and 20 mins for our mains to come out, but the food are good and def worth a visit.

Average, I expected more given the reviews. Starters were excellent, but the mains were average at best. Duck ragu was very disappointing. Service was first class. A better stocked cellar would also help as wines were unavailable. Sorry but I wouldn't rush back.

A piece of Italy in Mt Lawley. Authentic flavours not often found in the suburbs. And BYO, which is brilliant. Great trattoria, regional cuisine. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu. The duck leg ragù and gnocchi stole the show.

Had dinner with a couple of friends at Aqua eSale. The food was divine. We tried the locally produced burrata cheese with prosciutto for entre and tried 3 different pasta mains. I should have taken a picture of our meals because the homemade pasta was sculpted into what looked like clam shells. It was truly delicious both to look at and to eat. I had the creme brulee for dessert and we also ordered the tira misu. I can vouch for both desserts as well, very yummy. Very friendly staff and good service too. I’ll definitely be back.

Second visit tonight, I’m a typical aussie bloke but with two parents with a culinary background, dad being a qualified chef and mum having culinary qualifications I have a bit of a nose for good food. This place jumped out at me as soon as I walked in. It was too busy the first night so we had the volcano (blow your head off chilli) pizza, beautiful woodfired pizza with lovely aroma and a chilli bite. I personally am not a seafood person but I suspect it be a place like acqua that would encourage me to have it. So much aroma and freshness. Second visit tonight (Saturday) was busy so we booked in advance. Lovely waitstaff and a cosy atmosphere. A good indicator of a restaurant (or trattoria as I’ve learnt) is what you notice on the inside. This restaurant oozed warmth, passion and aroma. A sure indicator of the food being produced. We had the same pizza again (ah creature of habit haha) and yes, so nice, blew our head off but yes very nice. I also had a starter of bread and some paste (a very Australiana prerogative analogy of traditional Italian menu) This place has heart, flavour, passion and warmth. It’s a place I’ll be returning to, perhaps to try the gnocchi next time. More restaurants need to be like this, real food and passion. A small place but good things come in small packages..

This restaurant has only been open 3 months but it continues to build a very positive reputation. We visited on Thursday and had to take an early booking because of the restaurants increasing popularity. We shared with friends the Calamari and Italian Meat Entrees. After that we really enjoyed 2 of the very appetizing Pizzas, an Asparagus risotto whilst i loved the Squid Ink Seafood Pasta. All of the ingredients were fresh, the cooking superb and the service lively and friendly. Prices wee very reasonable. It is great to see this new edition of quality restaurants in North Perth becoming so popular so quickly.

Linguine vongole tasted briny (like seawater) and the fregola with prawns & mussels had a very very strong seafood taste - I 100% love my seafood but the taste of this dish was overpowering for me. The fregola was lumpy and inconsistent. Side dish of limp (read: overcooked) green beans cost more than my glass of wine (a lovely Tempranillo). Service was friendly but otherwise the experience was pretty average, wouldn't hurry back any time soon.

OMG just found our fabulous favourite new restaurant. Just us couple of older buggers on a Sunday night hoping for something special in a local. And the promise delivered. This restaurant really makes you feel like you’re in an Italian trattoria. The staff treat you like an old friend, the atmosphere is like a large family dinner and the food is exceptional. On the night we attended we tried all of the specials of the day and we were delighted with the pizza Bianca with burrata and truffle oil, and the pasta special of Morton bay bugs with garlic and chilli was generous and delicious. A fantastic little trattoria that would would hold its own in any Italian village piazza. The pasta was beautifully made in particular the potato gnocchi was deliciously light and pillowy in a duck ragu. The staff are amazing, you can really tell they make all of the food with love. The atmosphere is super inviting and friendly, the intimate dining space adds to the true Italian experience. The food is to die for, best pizza I've had in Perth, seafood is delicious, and the culurgiones are dreamy little pillows of deliciousness. Try to save room for the tiramisu and any other dessert specials they have. I will be back, and back, and back again.

We went for the first time tonight, only living around the corner and it was full and bustling for a Tuesday night! As such it was not surprising the staff were busy dashing between tables but this did not dampen our experience. The staff were lovely although clearly busy and the food was blooming incredible!!! The pane casasau was amazing, just on its own. The beef carpaccio was beautiful. The Volcano pizza was a treat, with the spice and gorgonzola working together to make a rich but delicate pizza (the super thin base was clearly playing a key part in that!) The winner was the duck ragu gnocchi that was rich but not heavy, which a ragu can be, the crispy breadcrumbs on the dish were what made it a full and beautiful dish. The added texture really complemented the melt in your mouth gnocchi! We will be back 100% to work out way through the rest of the menu!

There are many Italian restaurants in Perth but few truly deliver an authentic and sensational experience that take me back to my motherland until now - every dish on the menu is a sublime melt in your mouth experience. Which is why we won’t go anywhere else. This is Sardinian food at its best. My only criticism is that the tables are a little wonky which makes dining with small kids a challenge and I’d like more desserts like you get in Italy that you rarely see in other parts of the world like - rum baba, struffoli (deep fried syrup soaked doughnuts), bignè with different custards and fillings to really take this to another level - thanks to the boys they are doing an exceptional job! 👍
