If there was 6 stars, we would have given it. Didn't know what to expect, though we had friends who'd eaten here and enjoyed the food. We were not disappointed and from the warm greetings through the paying the bill, the experience was first class. Staff were super attentive and knowledgeable, our waiter was French and was the nicest guy ever. Food was the best part.. we're both vegetarian and there were so great options and the food was divine. You have to experience the desserts to understand what they are, but our mousse, topped with smokey eggplant, arrived at the table with a glass jar, which when removed, was a visual delight. We'll definitely be back.

Balissimo!!! Sensational and a joy to the palette. Gorgeously crafted meals. Plated like an episode of Master Chef. Tastefully decorated and intimately classy. Indoor and outdoor dining. Definitely not your run of the mill italian restaurant. It had the feel of seaside Italia. It actually made us think of the Italian restaurant in Nice France. We went for a Birthday Celebration and table service was 5 star. The owner personally explained the dishes, he was entertaining and funny. Made a world of difference to overall experience. The taste was delightful and delicious. Snazzy cocktails and wide selection wine list. Want to impress that special someone, think of choosing Amano Restaurant.

This place pops up on my FB ad and decided to give it a try since we are staying overnight at the Doubletree by Hilton Waterfront. Menu selections was just right, selecting choice of food was easy. Customer service was A++, very friendly and helpful. Serving you with a smile and making sure everything is fine. Food came out fast as well, fresh ingredients used and tasty with a twist. Recommended to book in advance if you coming as a group or just couples. Definitely worth the visit to enjoy they food and Swan River view.

Amazing food! Creative flavour combinations that might seem a bit risky but pay off! The food was cooked to perfection, the atmosphere and view was lovely and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were pleasently surprised by the smokey flavour of the crispy eggplant chocolate moose, it's a must try!

This is one of my favourite restaurants on the river. The venue is beautiful and service excellent. The menu offers a good selection for dietary needs. I had the eggplant entree and fish and chips, both were delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

A hidden gem. Probably the best Italian restaurant in all of Perth and easily compares well with the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney. Very traditional and lovingly prepared Italian food. Try the duck gnocchi...amazing!! I also had the Arancini as the entree which was lite and fluffy with a wonderful flavour - not oily! After the gnocchi I had a traditional panacotta desert with a berry sauce. I would have had another and probably another if allowed. You can't go wrong by dining here. Great service by caring staff. Situated by the river with great views and surrounds. Amano gets my highest recommendation. Well done guys!

We came here on Saturday 27 April 2019, from the start friendly staff, lovely view of the swan river. The meals we had were so good and tasty we came back the next day. It is so refreshing to have Italian food that takes you back to Italy. Plus its not your average pasta dishes here, perfectly cooked and just the right amount. Ended up having 3 courses. There is a great range of italian wines. Location is great, however parking not so, however there is a close car park nearby for a fee.

Absolutely Perfect. Seen Amano reviewed a couple of times by friends and family, and seemed to be the perfect place to try. Booked Amano for my mums 56th for 16 people, they gave us the whole inside to ourselves. Service was Fantastic, quick & efficient. Manu (hopefully got your name spelt correctly) was a top tier organiser. Shoutout to all the staff that day right down to the chefs you all did an amazing job. The food was great, nice portion sizes and came out at just the right times. They have a wide variety of cocktails and wines. Overall a bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for a date night or special work function.

Had a meal here recently and must admit the food was nothing to be excited about. I see all the other 5 star reviews re the food so wonder if I missed something or if I came on a bad day. Main meals I felt were very pricey for what they were, fish and chips is literally a kilo of potatoes with three small fish pieces for nearly $40.00, someone had the pasta with prawns and scallops, the seafood was cut up into the tiniest pieces, not full juicy seafood one would expect when paying $36.00 for a pasta. Out of our table not one person actually liked their main meal. To be fair the service was excellent, the location over the water was lovely. I just wish I had the same 5 star food experience others seem to.

Absolutely delicious food! The pieces are justified for the quality. I myself indulged in the fish and chips which I would say was the only disappointment of the night as the fish batter was a little overcooked and the potatoes that came with it were rather generic tasting. The arancini balls as an entree were beautiful though definitely a highlight of the evening! My partner had a gnocchi dish and she said it was very nice. The sourdough bread as a pasta was also very nice and fresh. I opted for the panacotta for desert and it was excellent my partner had the sorbet trio and mentioned that was nice as well. The staff also provided a high quality service and they also had friendly conversations and gave you opinions on meals and what to get. Would highly recommend to anyone. A beautiful gem of a place to eat in.

We just had main and dessert. 2 of the mains, lamb and fillet steak a bit overcooked for med but still tender and lovely. Would reccomend this restaurant without hesitation. Lovely location. Corporate team dinner for 18 people. I had organised a team dinner at Amano, Manu's replies to me were swift. We had a few dietary requirements, which were all taken into consideration, the portion sizes were very ample and the food itself was absolutely delicious. Truffle Night 26/08/21 What a great event last night. With river views how can it get better. The best food ever!!! The menu was absolutely so delicious. From entree to dessert the subtle truffle tastes were sublime and complemented every ingredient served with it. Wines were served with each course and was superb. Went for dinner at this beautiful restaurant few times with the family. Great location and amazing food! Seafood fettuccine are awesome! My wife had the pumpkin tortellini and loved it! The food was pretty average, but could be better, yes the entree octopus dish was too acidic, some part of the parpadalle pasta was still undercooked not even "al dente". Rocket salad as the side was too salty. We had very high expectations on bom Alaska dessert but came out to be small and below average on the look and taste.

I went to this beautiful restaurant for dinner with a friend from Melbourne. In the booking, I mentioned having a seafood dining experience. Everything has been over our expectations. Each dish was magnificently presented, and the taste even more excellent. The manager, Laura, guided us through the experience recommending a beautiful Chablis to pair with the food. The chef even came out to introduce himself, allowing us to compliment the exquisite dinner organised. Overall I can't wait to go back for dinner soon!!!!!!

Not so Impressed… I would like to have been able to recommend this Italian Restaurant as the location is close to the CBD on the Swan River near Elizabeth Quay which is one of my favourite places to hang out when in Perth.. Location Service Atmosphere really good was a little disappointed with the menu choices Arancini Balls were average Fettuccine Kangaroo at an Italian restaurant was a little odd to see on the menu however my husband said the flavours were good I had the Octopus and found it a little over cooked it was a dish that we could have shared with a side salad I wanted it to be so much more & it didn’t get there for me so won’t be going back …

I don't think I could explain how good this restaurant is. The food is fantastic and the service is great. My friend had arancini to start which was great. I had the squid in tortellini. It was amazing. The sauce was like a thick seafood bisque. Awesome. Main course was wagu beef for my friend. Absolute perfection. So tender and well cooked. Mine was the lamb pappadella. Super cream sauce with wild mushroom. Perth sunset what more could you ask. I couldn't rate this restaurant more highly than this. It's a perfect end to our week in Perth.

Tried this restaurant as it was on the water front. Beautiful views of the Swan river, lovely for a romantic meal. The staff although very busy were very friendly and welcoming. Ordered the sourdough, which was quite hard, could have done with warming up and the garlic butter not so garlicky. I had the lasagne which was very nice and my husband the pappardelle which although in my opinion was undercooked, he enjoyed.

Good service, good location, and always busy which means the food is good. The only issue is the portions in each course are big, and we found it difficult to fit the main course in after a huge entree. It's also very loud inside, so be prepared to talk loud if you're having a conversation.

Lovely restaurant. Me and my mate went there because we didn’t want to eat at Maccas or KFC. We went there. The staff were so nice. I got my meal and it was good a little bit pricy. But thats ok. I got my meal, i think it was the gnocchi. It had way too much tomato sauce. But other than that I was very impressed. Quick and decent service. Which is something you have to look out for when your at a restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I came here with the family to celebrate my husband's birthday. I really appreciate that they reserved us a good table overlooking the view of the river. The staffs were friendly and competent. We shared the entree which was the scallops, arranchini, and some pane. Love the scallops. The mains were good too. It's just, in my opinion I feel that the creaminess of my marinara pasta is a little too creamy, and it takes away the best of it. The bisque is too thick in it. But, I'm still happy for the overall service and the food. Still love this place.

I took my wife for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was not full but service was excellent. The food was some of the best we have had! Began with the entree of scallops with peas and tomato, scallops were very tender, not rubbery at all. Then had a beautiful tomato basil gnocchi, which was flavourful and didn't require any additional flavourings/seasonings. The weather was fairly hot and dry, and then followed on with a temporary drizzle of rain, so the staff very quickly rolled down the cafe shutters, then rolled back up once the drizzle disappeared. The views are fabulous, it's always such a treat to sit and see the water, the bird-life and boats on the river over a delightfully presented and flavour-full lunch. I had the oysters shallot mignonette as the day before I'd had a horrible experience with oysters and needed my faith (and pallet) restored - these did that very much! Seared scallops (entree size) and a Rocket salad was my main which I can also recommend.

Went with a mate who is vegetarian and doesn't also eat eggs, and what he wanted from the menu had eggs in it, so the waiter asked the chef and they happily made a DELICIOUS & CUSTOM dish for him!!! My tortellini and kangaroo were incredibly delicious too, but what REALLY made the difference was the willingness to accommodate my friend's dietary constraints, and all without hassle or fuss. I don't think I could explain how good this restaurant is. The food is fantastic and the service is great. My spouse had arancini to start which was great. I had the squid in tortellini. It was amazing. The sauce was like a thick seafood bisque. Awesome. Main course was wagu beef for my spouse. Absolute perfection. So tender and well cooked. Mine was the lamb pappadella. Super cream sauce with wild mushroom. Perth sunset what more could you ask. I couldn't rate this restaurant more highly than this. It's a perfect end to our week in Perth.

On a prior visit we had a great experience. So good that we decided to come back on a later visit to Perth. We weren’t as lucky 2nd time around. Our host seemed to have his mind elsewhere: ordered drinks were delivered to the wrong people even after we questioned if they were correct; then didn’t note our request for entrees/mains to be delivered together. The food is the only reason the rating is a 3. Service was 2 at best.
