Comments of BARI-UMA
E. W.
I had just finished studying at the Perth Library and was hungry and ready for something to eat. When i entered the venue there was such a home like feeling and such a positive energy. I ordered the Kara Uma and it took no longer that 5 minuets to be served. It was freshly made and still warm. I love this place and give it a 5star rating!!
M. E.
It was a cold rainy late afternoon in the city and I'm longing for something warm and satisfying. I'm glad I came to Bari-Uma and order one of the noodle soup dishes. The first sip was a pleasant surprise, the soup is so deliciously thick, perfectly paired with a BBQ slice and a creamy egg. Da best noodle soup I've ever tasted so far. 🏆
w. s.
Been in there twice now and really enjoyed. The Chashu is always lovely and the noodles are really good :]. Food came in about 5 minutes after ordering. Very clean and well kept. Staff are friendly. Decently priced compared to other places around the city. Will definitely come back !!
J. L.
Good food with good range of Japanese beer on tap. No wonder there is a long queue of customers patiently waiting for tables
L. C.
This ramen has all the hallmarks of something beautiful: a great chasu, and an egg to die for. I still feel that the greatest let down of the soup bases in Perth ramen that I’ve experienced so far, is the oiliness or lack of body in the soup. There does not seem to be any middle ground.I found out the Hakata style noodles too soft for my tastes, and the soup too oily and cold.
S. W.
2nd time we have been here now and it didn't disappoint! Their ramen is amazing!
J. L.
Great place to stop for a good quality bowl of ramen. What makes Bari Uma different is they serve a wide range of ramen flavours and combinations - both pork broth and chicken broth. Don’t forget to get some side dishes too, the teriyaki gyoza and chicken karaage are not to be missed.
E. H.
Finally had a chance to try out this Ramen restaurant, every time I walked past, it is filled with people lining to get in. Lucky for us, it wasn’t that busy today around 2pm.
Quick service & lovely food. Kids loved their kids set meal.
Our noodles & rice dish was rich in flavor & very yummy. I would say their soup is the least salty in terms of ramen broth.
For all the customers that say it tasted like MSG, you have no idea what you are talking about. Gyoza & Chicken Karage was yummy.
Just bit suprised that you have to pay extra for Mayo.
Green tea on the other hand is refillable which is a bonus.
Will be back to try other food on the menu!
Second time, the food quality was so..so
Third time in, the Salmon rice dish was so small for $12.90 a pop.. surely it wouldn’t kill them to offer customer another piece of Salmon considering the mere bite size that was offered and it was extremely dry & over cooked! Might not be back for a while, don’t be fooled by the long queue outside. It’s an illusion that the food is good. Taste & quality has definitely dropped..
S. H.
Honestly they sell one of the best ramens in Perth. I’ve been to several restaurants but I find myself coming back to Bari Uma. The quality is top tier. Broth is rich and noodles are silky smooth. I feel like a happy Naruto whenever I dive into one of their spicy ramens. Service is great and speedy. The restaurant is nicely decorated and gives me Japan vibes. Definitely recommend the place to other ramen enthusiasts.
B.
Had a ramen from here since my partner suddenly had the craving a few days back and this was the closest from where we were.
Portion size was pretty tiny for the price you pay for and also the flavour is pretty bland.
A shame that they don’t have any raw crushed garlic available which gives most of the Japanese ramens a good flavour boost. Instead, they had sichimi & fried garlic flakes.
We also had gyoza which was pretty decent.
Not sure if we’d be back here after comparing with many other ramen places in Perth.
A. I.
Friendly staff, hot delicious food, clean bathroom.
Had a rice bowl with salmon...fantastic.
Would definitely recommend the food here
J. L.
My friends recommended me this place and it's one of the best ramen in Perth imo😋 The staff were very friendly and helped me out with all the questions I had. The environment was lovely and the food came out relatively quick.
I ordered the Zeitaku (sadly didn't get any photos because I wanted to dig in straight away) and it tasted amazing. The gyoza with wings were also something I haven't tried either and it was 👌 their type of food fit my palette. Will definitely be coming back for a lot more. Thank you to the service and kitchen team🙏
D. C.
Sells delicious ramen. Broth is thick. Prompt service. Clean and tidy environment. A tad expensive compared to other ramen shops in town.
S.
Family friendly restaurant. It has wide variety of dishes, great service, ramen broth is tasty but a bit oily to my liking. The restaurant is spacious with nice ambience, I can't believe how clean toilet is with all the amenities for bub and toddler. Will come back for sure.
e.
Mmm the chicken good, mmmm the gyoza good 🙏
K. P.
I was sceptical to eat here again after avoiding it for almost a year. Now their quality is on their best! Compare to 2020 (it was terrible) and 2019 (was great). Maybe because of their chefs are not the same. But either way, I will be happily coming back from now on.
E. M.
As far as Ramen in Perth city goes, this one is my favorite so far.
Pretty tasty broth, good value karaage and well priced Japanese beers on tap.
Staff have always been friendly and helpful for my friends and I, and I've eaten there several times without being disappointed with a dish. I've had a ramen egg that was slightly overcooked once but that's it. No serious complaints here.
Their hot ramen has a good amount of flavor rather than just spice. Their karaage comes with different sauces, all of which are tasty, and their gyoza are ticking boxes.
I prefer the thinner style noodles and rich tonkotsu broth of Hakata style ramen, but if you're in the city this is a damn good choice for an authentic taste and atmosphere, and appears to be popular with Japanese customers too!
F. A.
This is by far the best ramen i have tried in Perth. The ramen taste is just beyond any other, for people with high spice tolerance, the spicy ramen is the best one to try. The green tea is also fabulous. Highly recommend it!!
B. G.
Absolutely fantastic. Ramen is a real treat 😋. Pork Chashu is equally as delicious. Highly recommend. Very fulfilling portion sizes!
B. B. (. t. B.
Some of the best ramen I've ever had.
Super flavourful broth, thin soft but still firm noodles, perfectly done yolky eggs and the most luxurious pieces of Chashu.
Next time I'll definitely get the ajitama chashu-uma ( extra pork) bowl instead but the karatama Uma was the perfect amount of spice where it made my nose run a bit but didn't over power the flavours to hurt me.
Very lovely staff and quick service :)
HIGHLY recommended
Z. z.
Enjoyed the Ramen, no complaints probably one of the thicker broths that I've had and softer noodles but it still tasted delicious! Spicy Karaage chicken is spicy 😤😜 make no mistake ☺ ! Had no issues with service and food came out in 10 minutes.
R.
My third time here trying their new menu and the queue line still long. Around 20-30 min. Not so bad at this spring weather, maybe bad during summer. Strategic location, good atmosphere. The taste is not up to my standards but food quality is awesome. Staff are great but sometimes the queue system doesn’t work. Their based soup are great and warm enough to my tastelike.
H. S.
Bariuma is the best ramen joint in Perth. My wife is Japanese and I lived there for 5 years during which I spent a lot of time in Ramen houses. I have tried over 10 ramen shops here in Perth and the others were not even close to being as authentic and tasty as Bariuma. Tonkotsu ramen is a delight when done well and I am stoked to say that Bariuma does it very well. The gyoza and karaage are also excellent. Do yourself a favour and get there if you haven't already.
t. 9.
We saw the crowd at lunch time so we decided to try this Japanese restaurant. I order the original ramen but the broth to thick so I can't finish it! The char siu rice and kaarage chicken just okay. But the gyoza really good. The service so friendly. For the price, I think a bit pricey.
N. N.
Tried this place with friends on a Sunday. Was busy that we waited in a cue to be seated. Good was delicious with the ramen noodles really good and soup even better. Better than a few ramen places around vic park and Perth.
M. V.
Love the ramen! I have been eating there for almost two years now… best ramen 🍜 ever!
Also I would like to say thank you for the girls that provided me a “special” table as I am 32 weeks pregnant. They have located me away from the door due to the cold weather.
❤️🙏🏻
T. T.
It's an under-rated ramen restaurant. I travel around Australia and Asian countries, and I'm a super ramen fan. Must try every ramen restaurants if time allows.
Good service and nice staff members. My fussy starving friend bought a pack of fried chicken from neighbouring store and took it in, which is not welcome in most of restaurants, but she was tolerated. And she changed the arranged table and we were even eating the fried chicken on the table before our ramen came to the table. No one came to say that it's not encouraged...
😂😂😂
As to the ramen itself, it's a thick-stoke-based style, like which I tried in a little local ramen restaurant in Osaka. I can understand it couldn't be able to please everyone's taste. But I still love it, because this stoke is the rare one in all kinds of Japanese ramens. But actually it could be thicker. For Japanese, this type of ramen could be a side dish coming with steamed rice. The soup will be left over, which means the soup is for flavour only. But here it's been changed to be ligher and eatable. If you don't like the thick style, order some water to put in. Flavoured egg is good, but not cut which had been stated on the menu. And the flavour is in salt style. Bamboo is a bit soft. Thick-cut chashu is roasted smells good.
This is my first time to see a chili in a spicy Japanese ramen soup. Good in flavour, and good for picture lol
I like its decoration in Japanese style, look good in atmospheres. Priced reasonably as the other ramen restaurants.
As a ramen expert, it's a 'recommend' for those who have never tried something new and ramen lovers. One of the best Japanese ramen in Australia.
E. R.
The broth is packed full of flavour and the noodles are cooked well. Thinking about it makes my mouth water. The thick pork cha su. May not be to everyone's liking but still tender. Quick and easy service. Would definitely recommend to try this ramen. Could possibly be the best tasting ramen in Perth.
C. F.
love their ramen and clay pot rice, will definitely come back again
S.
Good service, food delivered quickly. Feels like you're in Japan (but with more space), in terms of set up and ambience. I've always seen a massive line here so had to check it out.
Spicy chicken karage, 4 pieces was very well done. Quite spicy. Generous pieces. 4/5
Normal pork ramen without seaweed or egg. The pork was soft and a bit fatty. The soup tastes light and not very complex, but also quite oily at the same time. Not overly salty so that was good. Sometimes ramen makes me ridiculously thirsty after. 2/5
Next time I would share the chicken. So full. But don't think I'll come back.
Disclaimer - I'm usually quite neutral about ramen so it takes a good one for me to love it. The best for me is still Hakata Gensuke black ramen for me. Although that one is quite salty.
A. C.
The broth is just nice. Thick enough to provide the exact flavour. Good value too!
M. T.
Very high quality ramen, super flavorful broth and beautiful thick freshly grilled pork, noodles feel and taste freshly made that day
S. Z.
Very busy Ramen restaurant on Barrack street. It’s authentic flavour compare to Ramen had in Japan. Hana awaka rice sake is one of my favourite Japanese sake, they have on the drink menu.
M. V.
Seated immediately on our arrival and pleasantly greeted by staff. Service was prompt. Absolutely loved the spicy ramen at Bari-Uma. Beautiful thick broth (but not too thick). Meat was so tender and just melted in your mouth. Look forward to returning soon again.
J. S.
Another good ramen joint here in Perth! Much better than Ippudo IMO anr the serving sizes are generous! Overall good experience
L. N.
Love their creamy pork broth
M. S.
The noodles were nice and the staff were friendly. Slightly on the expensive side. Ensure you order extra noodles to suck up that broth.
N. S.
If you are keen to know what ramen in Japan tastes like - this is about as close as it gets in Perth. Hands down the most enjoyable ramen in Perth for me. Serves are value for money, service is great, restaurant is clean. I went yesterday and came back today. Really enjoyable.
J. L.
It was the first time I went there and the foods were great and the temperature for the ramen was perfect!
G. L.
Was asked to pay first when ordering which is different to alot of other ramen places. Tried the Kara Tama uma ramen which was quite spicy. In terms of portions it was abit smaller than what I expected. Noodles were cooked nicely and the broth has a strong flavour. $2 extra for seaweed or spring onions is excessive. Serviettes provided are thin and tiny. Although I have to compliment on the friendly service from staff here.
K. C.
Not a fan of their thick broth ramen, but the chashu rice in hot pot is yum even in takeaway.
E. T.
Tasty ramen and claypot menu. Service was quick too, maybe because it wasn't the busiest hour when I came in (around 5-6pm).
A. D. O.
Didn't have to wait for a table on Thursday night. Many say this is the best ramen in Perth. Very thick shoyu ramen broth. Pork (chashu) only. Quite a small menu. Definitely recommend getting an option with an egg (that egg is amazing)! Moderately priced (you'll spend around $13.95-$17.95 for a bowl of ramen).
H. H. C.
The soup is extremely thick. Overall I enjoyed the noodles and the soup. Not a big fan of the thick slice of pork..
B. L.
Self made ramen, no so bad on the traditional pork soup Base.
Along walking shopping street.
Comfortable seating area.
M. W.
Spicy ramen is niice, 豚骨ramen is s not too greasy. Both ramen with too little soup. Pricey. Table is really small as we ordered gyoza as well. Gyoza was better than ramen.
D. A.
Chashu is on the thick side and good quality but I think the place is overpriced. A basic bowl with no egg or toppings id like $17. All toppings apart from chashu are extra. The serving isn't large but that doesn't really bother me. The broth is good and rich. I like that they also serve gyoza and kaarage chicken.
B. C.
I ordered the Shoyu Ramen.
It’s a strong flavor Ramen. Soup is rich and pork taste good. Every thing is perfect and waiters also amiable.
R. N.
Good service, quick service and the named dish is really tasty. The serving sizes are great as well! If you like ramen go here. Buy do expect to wait.
L. A.
Fast, friendly, delicious and always busy!
We were offered some hot tea whilst waiting for a table outside in the cold 🥰
First time I dined the pork melted in my mouth 🤯 unfortunately the thicker cut pork wasn't as tender. Still super yummy though!
E. S.
Pros : New place, good decor, friendly staffs
Cons : not worth the queue, a bit overprice compare the portion and taste, a lot of staffs for standing in my opinion should be used for delivering the food instead of customer hv to pickup, soup broth taste okay but not best in perth. Noodle also okay but
not the best. Gyoza is good
P. C.
Great food, atmosphere and prices
J.
Great Ramen, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Need to convince Jai King from Ready Steady Cooked to try it.
M. K.
Bari-uma have velvety rich pork broth, perfect noodles, substantial tasty toppings and fast service. Don't go anywhere else for ramen in the Perth CBD.
M.
My favourite ramen restaurant the most in Perth. It really reminds me of Japan.
M.
The broth is so rich and thick. 😋 The noodles are perfectly cooked. I always go there if I'm craving for some ramen. 😋 We also had the tori karaage today, it was so crispy and juicy on the inside but there's a certain after taste and lack of taste. One staff said, wait for 10mims to have a table for 4 but it was more than that, I was waiting with my partner and our friends. Overall, it was good tho. The atmosphere is great and spacious too. 😄 8/10
M. K.
Good food at a good price. I had a bowl of Pork and Mayonnaise Rice and it cost about 7.80. The tea was 2.50 and I could refill as many times as I wanted
C. B.
A very popular spot for ramen for good reason. The broth is thick and rich, prices are reasonable and the eggs are always cooked perfectly. Arrive early for dinner otherwise expect to wait in line. Tables are turned over quickly and food is served fast, so the wait isn't too bad. The restaurant can be really hot inside.
B. W.
Very thick tasty broth, friendly and efficient service. Bonus: CLEAN toilets 👍
J.
Very good place for ramen and other Japanese dishes.
D. D.
Always amazing and satisfying. Wonderful thick broth, melt in your mouth pork (most the time), and tasty condiments. Service is fast and warm 💖
A. C.
Probably the best ramen I've had throughout all of Perth, the broth is very rich and flavourful and the pork chashu is just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It's not only the food but the service was just perfect. I enjoy every time I eat here because the staff are just so friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
W. B.
This is a gem of a place not fancy the taste of the food is outstanding the line outside the door at lunch time will attest to that
s. t.
Wife and I went today for lunch. Have been once before some time ago and was good then. Was good this time as well, ramen was tasty and filling. Food didnt take too long to arrive. Lots of choices on menu. Will be back.
R. V.
Generous serves of char siu, rich and creamy broth, good ramen.
R. S.
My second time here. Many people lined up before it opened. I had the spicy ramen which was really tasty.
R. P.
Really good. I liked the thick charsu and the broth was really tasty.
F.
This place is the best ramen place in Perth. Absolutely delicious broth. Doesn’t leave you mouth slimy in fat and it doesn’t shrivel up your lips from the salt. It’s just the right amount of richness and saltiness. Be warned, the karaage serving is huge! They also have amazing gyoza with the crunchy skirts. Would recommend to anyone.
M. P.
I Have walked passed this place a few times and it has always ben busy with a line going up the street. This time i stopped and waited until it opened to see what all the fuss was about. Best decision ever. This place is Amazing, the ramen i ordered was just full of flavors, the meat was tender and melt in your mouth. The karrage chicken was juicy and tender and flavorsome. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal, but bring your patience as it maybe a wait to get in the doors.
C. L.
Food was alright, tasted better one. Too commercialised. Price on the high side based on the portion.
L. A.
Yes! Rich creamy ramen broth 🍜 with a yummy slice of pork……you wont be disappointed if your looking to satisfy a ramen craving…
M. H.
Rippa Ramen. Really tasty broth, a little thicker than normal. Ramen were delicate and soft and good additions of pork. Choose to have the Nori and presentation was inviting. I like Ramen and will be back here again. The restaurant is part of a chain of restaurants that started in Singapore. On the tv that was showcasing the Bari-Uma journey that also had a lady who finished 12 bowls of Ramen within the hour!
I. R.
Great, that is why there are lines waiting outside so get there before opening. The staff are Japanese and the Ramen well I wanted to order seconds. Highly recommend
B. E.
Great food. A bit pricey. Bad customer service. They need to train the wait staff better.
M. M.
Love the tonkatsu broth and the gyoza is yumm
J. G.
Fantastic ramen, really delicious broth but the thing that sets this place apart for me is the chashu with its beautiful smoky chargrilled flavour but still with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The sides are awesome as well and go down great with a beer (love that they serve Suntory Premium Malts as well). Also I just love getting a good old “irasshaimase” as you walk in the door, it’s a small thing but really helps create an atmosphere and sets the tone for an authentic experience, so I hope they don’t do away with it like some of the other Japanese restaurants I’ve returned to. Awesome experience.
W. L.
fairly pricey bowl of noodles, but efficient service and tasty. big bowl of bean sprouts for $4 haha
L. D.
Energetic service provided by exceptional staff! Extremely hygienic and a lovely open kitchen to watch chef create tantalizing dishes. Love the spicy ramen here and all of the starters are simply delicious. Always leave Bari-Uma feeling well fed and super happy 😊
H. T.
Rich flavoured soup base which can attach to the ramen , tasty pork with good fats proportion. Gouzi has soft thin skin with an extra pan fried crispy bottom layer. Served by friendly staff.
R. K.
the ramen a bit different and not a traditional style, which is not my preference but it's still pretty tasty. the broth is a little thick for my liking personally.
the service was not very friendly. they were quick but just a little short and rude. Plus it was very loud inside and generally had a weird vibe about it. i went on a sunday during the day and it was quite busy at 2pm.
L. F.
I Love Bari-Uma! We discoverd the brand in Singapore and couldn't get enough of their wonderful Chashu Ramen. When they opened a Perth branch I hoped it would have a similar quality, but I think that its actually better! Well done Perth staff, we are pleased to regularly treat our tastebuds in your restaurant... :-)
N. L.
Ramen that is the closest to ones in Japan. Broth is thick and reasonably priced ramen. Will definitely be coming back
G. s.
Delicious! One of the best u could find in Perth.
K. T. -. P. W.
Thick tasty broth with thick pork slices. Every mouthful is full of flavour. One of the best ramen shops in Perth. Slightly pricier but worth it. If you in the city, this is a place you must stop by for lunch or dinner!
K. K.
Ramen was good although it's not my fave ramen spot
z. j.
One of the best Japanese ramen restaurants in Perth, I like in particular the home-made broth although a little bit pricey for a bowl of noodle.
J. H.
Holy shi, best ramen in perth imo
S.
If it wasnt for the Asahi on tap, this place would flop as an authentic Ramen shop.
Their 'thick cut chashu' was no more than a centimetre thick, the ramen was not seasoned and the tonkotsu tasted like someone had just melted and emulsified a block of animal shortening into water.
Why did I not mention this at the moment of my experience? Because when I finished my bowl, I made the decision I probably wasn't going to come back because it doesn't justify me paying $16.50-$22.50 for a bowl of noodles in bad broth with a $2 pricetag to replace every topping that you are supposed to have in the dish by default.
S. M.
Best ramen I've had in Perth. Highly recommended - the soup is unique, I can't recall having tasted any taken soup like it before. I've been to Japan a couple of times and sampled plenty of ramen there.
Just remember that this place is popular and they don't rush the cooking process, so you will likely need to wait. I guess the our reviews that are low are often to do with wait times.
E. G.
One of the best ramen joints in Perth. Good choice of soups and ingredients is great for ramen aficionados. An easy choice to make when you're in CBD looking for a quick and yummy lunch or dinner.
J. Y.
Tastes good but pricey.$20 for a small bowl of noodle. Bowl is also small but noodle and soup tastes good. I drank the whole bowl.
R. S.
Solid bowl of ramen. Broth isn't as top shelf as others but every other ingredient is excellent. Gyoza is also very good.
j. f.
We ordered Bariuma and Teriyaki Gyouza and they were both really tasty. The ramen was creamy and wasn't too salty. Unlike other ramen shops though, they don't let you choose the firmness or main ingredient of your noodles. The gyouza was delicious. It comes in 5 pcs and 10pcs. Prices were reasonable amd the staff are friendly. It can get pretty busy during lunch times and will usually find a line.
A. v. S.
My favourite ramen in Perth, you pretty much can’t go wrong. Really want to try the rice pots one day but find it hard to move on from the ramen!
T. C.
the fried chicken n the ramen was good but the char siu was absolutely disastrous
D. j.
By far the best ramen ive had the pleasure of enjoying to this day! i had the meat lover pork raman broth and my god it was delicious the mrs absolutely loved the clay pot chashu definetly value for money and from sit down time to when the food was served wait was minimal by far great friendly and a delicious service will be coming again
a. g.
Second time at Bari-Uma ramen 🍜
I've tried this te the Ajitama Uma. Noodles perfectly al-dente, the egg was delightful in its texture and flavor, the thick cut pork shreds as you touch it with the sticks, simply delicious. Good note for the staff, friendly and quick.
No doubt one of the best ramen in Perth. Definitely back here anytime soon!
J. L.
Our go to place for ramen. Hard to find another one beating the taste of this one
M. C.
Absolutely loved it. Love the Ramen, good portion and I even drank all the soup.(I absolutely DON'T think it was artificial thicken as you can simply tell if they have added starch) The gyoza was very juicy. Definitely will go back there again.
C. F.
Very good authentic ramen, very filling and delicious. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. I can recommend getting the green tea to go with your ramen
S.
I visited one of Bari-Uma's Hong Kong restaurants twice couple of weeks ago and totally fell in love with the ramen, so I was over the moon to find out that they had just opened a restaurant in Perth. We loved it so much we went to check it out the day after we got home and were so relieved and happy that it was exactly the same as the one in Hong Kong! We had the ajitama-uma ramen and bari-uma ramen which were cooked to perfection - amazing broth, melt in your mouth pork, perfectly soft boiled egg. Staff were very friendly, greeting you when you arrived and left the restaurant. There was a queue when we arrived that continued building whilst we ate but believe me its worth the wait.. Place was packed out but got our food within 10 minutes. We've been to a number of different ramen places in Perth and whilst we've enjoyed all of them, this tops the lot for me. No idea what some of the bad reviews for price are about- we paid $15.90 and $13.90 and felt they were very well priced for the delicious meals. We will be eating here regularly!
H.
Copped the standard spicy ramen.
Pork cut too thick, broth was good. The basic spicy option was too spicy in my opinion. Good egg, ok noodles, bamboo wasn’t too tangy. Just too expensive at $17.50 a bowl - who has $17.50 to spend on ramen. Average portion size
W. M.
The ramen is OK. Broth is a bit thick and not as hot as the noodles. There are no broth base options and no thin sliced pork options. The seating is bad, there is lots of open space but the tables are very close leaving lots of open space. We were seated next to strangers even when there were lots of seats.
レ.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't good enough to make me want to go back. No table service. Bowls felt and looked cheap. Limited (zero?) options for vegetarians. Aburi salmon appears to be permanently discontinued from the menu. Staff at counter seemed bored.
A. T.
Best ramen I've had in perth city. The servers were kind and the prices were reasonable. The ramen tastes quite authentic which some customers may not be accustomed to. There is a line to get into the restaurant around lunch but if you arrive in the afternoon there is normally free seating.
P. P.
Best ❤️👍
H. L.
The noodle and Chasu is very delicious. The broth is not the best I have in Perth. The waiting to be seated is fine but waiting for your food to come after 40mins is quite annoying as ramen consider to be a "fast-serving food" in most ramen restaurant. I think this can be improved by people in the kitchen working efficiently.
P. K.
This is the 10th ramen restaurant we have been to in Perth and it's one if the better ones.
Three levels of doneness of the noodles are offered along with a variety of broths, including some pretty spicy ones.
You can also get rice dishes and side dishes as well.
There is often a queue to get in but it moves relatively quickly. Menus are provided when you are in line and you should have decided by the time you get to the cashier.
The noodles arrived in goid time and nice and hot but not scalding.
I liked the thick cut, grilled chashu. It was tender and tasty. The broth was good too.
Service is fast and friendly.
Credit cards are accepted and you can usually find paid parking in one of the city's car parks.

Ramen was ok only IMO.
E. M.
Ramen was a lot better than I expected. I still rate Keisuke as the best ramen in Perth and a tad higher in terms of quality. I prefer rich creamy broth in my ramen so this would be no 2.
They got more food options which is good especially with kids but was a bit disappointing (karaage) . Gyoza was unavailable that day.
My main beef with this place is the ramen serving size. They charge the same as Keisuke but the quantity was well around 30% less than what I would get.
As far as moneys worth, Keisuke is king. Free eggs, large serving, awesome free beansprouts. This place, not so much.
A. M.
The most amazing spicy ramen in Perth so far! Truly amazing, silky smooth broth and a good heat, all topped off with delicious, house made noodles
N. A.
Rich flavour, tender pork and yummy
H. W.
Not bad food at all, I just went today and their food was great! I had Takoyaki (6 Piece), Chicken Udon and a Pork Gyoza! Although they could cook it a bit faster... I had to wait nearly 30 minutes...
C. T.
Went in for lunch service today. Had the Tori Ajitama Uma ramen. The broth was beautiful, the in house made noodles were perfection, egg was gooey, and that was only one dish. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
K. C.
I love the spicy ramen with thick broth and pork. The moment I enter the restaurant I feel like I’m in Japan. For me this one’s by far the best ramen restaurant in Perth! I just love it! It’s excellent.
M. L.
Excellent service and dazzling flavour. Will be coming back soon.
C. L.
Very good ramen. Spicy Karaage chicken was outstanding. Highly recommended.
B. H.
New Ramen venue in town! We headed straight there after work and nabbed a spot after a short queue. As one of the first customers on the night we expected everything to be at its best and we were not disappointed. Yummo chewy noodles, tender thick cut chashu and a broth so rich and viscous that it was like a porky-umami smoothy. It wasn't bland or too salty... it was just right. I need to go back very soon!
(Its not the cheapest in town, so be prepared)

Staff
The staff of this restaurant is really nice even though i went there during peak hour of lunch.. which is a big plus for me..
Food
I would say the price range would be a bit higher than the average price but you will get a scrumptious meal for every dollar you spent.. i usually order Nori Tama Uma(ramen with chashu pork and flavored egg) but 3 days ago i went ahead and tried their Tori Ajitama Uma (ramen with braised chicken and flavored egg) and i got a mouth-watering treat.. the chicken meat is so tender tha it just separates from the bone when you try and pick it up with your chopsticks, and when you eat the meat the flavor of soy and mild sweetness explodes in your mout like a umami bomb. The noodles are firm and after chewing it for a bit it smoothly pass down your throat without any problem while the broth is perfectly balanced that it didn't over power the tast of the chicken. I could go on and on about bari-uma with their gyoza and karaage but i want you guys to go there and experience it yourself..
Verdict:
If I have family or friends coming over even if they came from Japan i would certainly bring them with me here in Bari-Uma..
H.
Nice ramen, soup was really rich👍🏻
C. N.
Delicious food, excellent customer service and speedy food delivery.
D. D.
Had the chicken ramen and salmon claypot rice. While the portions weren't large, it was worth the price. Yummy !
p. p.
Good nd friendly service.
M. K.
I love the rich stock flavour you get from the ramen! Serving size be damned. The staff are welcoming to every customer that comes thru
W. T.
The Kirin I ordered was not available due to gas problem. Not anyone's fault. But the chef upgraded me to sake, I'm feeling pretty happy now. Not the first time here. Great place, great atmosphere.
E. T.
Beautifully done broth. Nice toasted meat.
However, noodle is a little overdone and soft to my taste.
e. c.
i love the costumer service and the ramen 100/10 !! <33
M. F.
Totally in love for their food. 😋
B. T.
Lovely staff! Very accommodating and polite. Fast service and delicious Tori-Uma. Don’t get the spicy Tori-Kara unless you really like spice. It’s EXTREMELY SPICY!
P. D.
Love The Place. Great Food, Large Portion Sizes And Reasonably Priced. I'll Be Going Back To Try Other Dishes.
M. K.
Ramen was good, but clay pot rice was even better. What I am not happy with was that they charged $2 for mayonnaise even though we ordered chicken karage. Who doesn't provide mayonnaise with chicken karage? Disappointed!
S. G.
Best Ramen I ever had so far!!! Service was good people were polite and the venue was spotless clean!!! Will visit again for sure!
j. p. y.
The foods are good, I ordered an eel with rice, the photo on the menu has a whole fish, but what I got was only a piece of 5x5cm eel.
P. C.
One of the best ramen restaurants in Perth. Nice thick broth without being too heavy. I also love their classic chasu rice.
M. A.
The food was good. Ordered the Tori-Ajitama-Uma ramen, Aburi-Chashu and a Japanese Claypot Rice (Chashu). Took 20 minutes for the ramen to to be ready. Then another 5-10 minutes for the Chashu and another 5-10 minutes for the Aburi-Chashu. This was very annoying as a buzzer goes off for you to pick up the food yourself. Buzzer went off 3 times of which I had to leave my table three times to pick up the food. The Aburi-Chashu should have been the first to be served as it is more of an entree but instead came out last. 5 stars for the food but 2 stars for the service. Floor manager needs to be aware of customers around him. Was shouting customer greetings very loudly into people's ears that were close to him.
C. P.
Delicious ramen soups! Served quickly!!!
P. N.
Really thick tonkotsu broth which is good if that's what you're after. The pork chasu is the main attraction, really thick cuts, tender and delicious. Nice dining experience and a decent exeperience overall.
M. G.
Ramen noodle done right. Soup was so flavorsome. Thick cut meat as promised! Service with a smile on a very packed and busy day!
I. P. B.
Awesome ramen
T. A.
I am a fan of slurpy bowls of noodles, and this place is fantastic! Nice selection of the classics and I really enjoyed the flavours packed in the broth.
C. T.
I've been to many places around Perth and I'm yet to find a places that can compare to this fantastic place time and time again with out a dout everything comes serve perfectly to the time before. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the prices for what you get are very reasonable I won't go no where alse now.
M. H.
Great ramen and great service 👌
C. P.
I had the Nori Tama Uma, food was delicious however I find it over priced! The staff seem polite and efficient, but dont see the point of the self service counters, why cant I be served when I am sitting at a table in the restaurant with ample amount of staff who are clearly capable of serving the food once its ready at the counter, doesnt seem worth the price for no table service!
F. I.
I think it's too expensive for that portion, also for the self service. I give 3 stars because I likes the spicy soup but I still prefer ramen in other japanese restaurant arround.
J. M.
the spicy ramen is very spicy other than that it was clean and staff were well manured
R. L.
So happy for another Japanese chain to be opening up in Australia! One of my favourite ramen places to visit in Japan and it brought me right back there!
t.
Good ramen, convenient location, average service. Prices are also average: ramen bowls go for $16.
J. H.
Great Ramen at reasonable prices. Loved the interior and friendly staff. Definitely going to return to try some more of the menu.
A. R.
We waited 30+ mins after ordering. Isn’t ramen meant to be served fast? Food is quite good but the restaurant doesn’t seem to be ready for the opening.
D. C.
Quick and friendly service. Even on a Friday night walked into the door and was sat at a table immediately. Food was brilliant, and offered a wide selection of mains and sides.
P. N.
Good ramen with lots of flavour.
P. G.
Absolutely beautiful bowl
A. S.
The best tonkotsu ramen I have had here.
A. P.
Great noodles in a very yummy juicy spice soup for a reasonable price. Quick service, nice staff and clean local.
d. w.
Never really ate this type of food before but a mate dragged me along and I can't believe how amazing the food was, could definitely keep eating until I drop
p.

D. Z.
Best ramen in perth. Im Italian so maybe not the best judge but i never leave here disapointed
N. B.
Very delicious ramen. Only wish they had their black garlic ramen like the chain in Japan but still very good.
a. H.
Nice Staff, nice noodles!
K. K.
Very nice noodle however I think it is a little pricey. A bowl of noodle with 1 small piece of meat is $15 to add an egg it is $17
k. f.
Spicy ramen, spicy karaage, gyoza, chilli claypot all delicious!
Y. R.
Great ramen noodles. This place serves only a handful of ramen. Along with that they also have gyoza and fried chicken.
J. M.
very yum, my friend ashton chow recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint.
P. O.
My favourite restaurant for hot yummy noodles and stone bake rice.
D. L.

Thumbs up...a must try for every ramen lover...

Best ramen in perth, much better than all competitors in Perth and massively better than the dishwater that was served to me at the famous ichiran in Tokyo
S. K.
It was a very appealing restaurant and the Ramen was full of flavor. Defently worth a try
T. B.
Friendly and efficient staff. Ramen tasty and spicy for adult, with good taste but no spice for child.
T. H.
Excellent cheap delicious food
C.
The food is AWESOME. Best ramen in Perth CBD by a country mile.
D. T.
Very tasty soup with the ramen. Portion could be a bit more with that price.
K. B.
Fast and friendly service. Ramen was delicious but not that generous for the price. I think the location makes it very popular.
H. Y.
Very nice Original ramen.
K. T.
Excellent service however the ramen is not so worth for this price. Feels like a food court noodle bar
R. D.
Love this place! Rich broth, soft meat! My favourite ramen place for sure!
B. L.
Super thick and savoury broth ramen, authentic, inviting vibes with Japanese alcohol available.
Z. S.

Unagi is good though it is a bit small in size. Gyoza is delicious!
d. l.
Their food and services never disappoint me. I have always enjoyed the food.
A. S.
The concept and presentation was fantastic but the food really fell short. The broth is heavy and pork is hard.
J. G.
Delicious and fast service.
J.
Had the pork tonkatsu ramen, it was pretty on point but just needed to be a little bit more umami.
D. A.
Very good
J. L.

(Translated) The taste is good, the soup is very thick, for me a little bit of oily eel bibimbap is also good, the shop feels clean and hygienic.

(Translated) I think it’s better than Ippudo, so I ordered a sign
The soup is a bit too thick, but the seasoning is not bad, it is my favorite flavor, I don’t know if I can refill the soup, because the soup is too small
Fried dumplings are delicious! Very fragrant and a lot of gravy
Anyway, I fully recommend this one😋

(Translated) I visit Perth every year, but this is my first time.
Honestly, it's pretty good.
It is very close to Japanese pork bones in ramen around the world.
It is no longer a Japanese pork bone.
Because garlic is a chip, you can't feel garlic that much, but the soup is delicious.
I ordered AJITAMA.
The price was around $ 16, so I thought it was a little expensive. Well, if you think about 950 yen in Japan, is it this much if you think Japanese taste at Australian prices?
Greetings were also flying in Japanese, and it seemed that I came to a ramen shop that is popular with foreigners in Japan.
I will come again if I have a chance.

(Translated) The reason I visited this place wasn't because there were a lot of customers waiting in line every day from the opening day.
First of all, it was good because the kitchen was well visible, so I had the same trust, and the staff was not busy with serving or inside. Waiting in line, looking at the pre-ordered menu, and when it's your turn, you can order and check out at the counter in advance, and when you are assigned a seat, food will be served after a while. Today, there was an incident where only cash customers were allowed to enter because it was not a card, but fortunately, we settled without any problems. I ordered ramen and karaage, but the food came out without waiting. Food tastes different from person to person, so there may be opinions, but I was very satisfied. The broth was so delicious and the meat was very soft. The noodles were a little stiff, but it was worth eating. In particular, the karaage was not made in advance and fried immediately when ordered, so the crispy and soft meat was the best. In the words of a Japanese friend, both ramen and karaage are of the same level as the mainland. There were many Japanese people around. But, like all food prices in Perth these days, I thought this house was a bit expensive. Isn't I too worried about me, hoping that the taste is good and the price is cheap? Food prices are too expensive these days to feel the whole of Perth is united. Excluding the price, everything is good. It is recommended as a restaurant.
