Massively improved the food which was pleasant. Kids meals come with drinks and icy pole for 13$ each, burgers are slider size so not for older or very hungry kids Shrimp noodles salad was yum and filling All up a 55$ dollar lunch

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The service was good too, but they were very busy on a Saturday night. It's a busy place, right on the shore, perfect for watching the sunset. The Seafood Board was enough to feed 2-3 people. The octopus was a favourite, along with the unique dipping sauces. Everything was really fresh, you'd expect no less by the sea in Freo!

Absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding reception. My daughter and son -in-law had their wedding reception last Saturday night. Perfect location, perfect food. Great venue and staff. A lovely place for a quiet session. I've been coming here for more than a year now and I have to say that the quality is consistent. It might also be worth mentioning that the poor reviews of the burger do not do the beef burger justice. My experience (refer to photo) has been a very good one; the burger was fresh, juicy and tasty, without sauce running down my arm at the end of the meal. The portion size was spot on. Finally no bar or restaurant survives on food and bev alone: this venue not only has a great team but it also has great team leaders. This is a place that manages to feel relaxed while every small detail is attended to, effortlessly.

Me and my partner spent all day here lounging on the beach. It’s a beautiful spot but what really got it for us was the customer service. The floor manager couldn’t do enough for us and made us smile all day!! It’s things like this that keep people coming back so we’ll definitely see you again!! Thank you so much for a wonderful day!! A great little spot to relax on the beach and enjoy a bite and a drink. Booking the outside deck chairs to watch the sun set over the ocean with a cocktail was a delight. The cocktails took a while to be made at the inside bar, but were dropped off to us on the beach. Great spot with a great vibe and setting.

Had lunch 15/10/21 with my parents. Haven't been here for a couple of years. We sat inside and it was busy. Same on the outside tables. I had fish and chips, Dad seafood marinara, step mother Barramundi. None of us were overly impressed by the quality. I would say 7/10.

What a lovely place for everyone. The indoor modern decoration and the 2-story seating areas give a fine dining feeling. The outdoor seating area is well thought of for those sunbathing lovers. Such a beautiful beach area awaiting your relaxation. The friendly staff told me the seafood platter is very popular here. According to him, other popular dishes are Mussels and Fish & chip. Tab beers are available. There are two car parking areas nearby the building. Will return for sure. Cheers!

Nice dinner, fantastic location. Hard in large venues to not have that canteen feeling, but the food and service were very good. We ate inside, there are tables on the beach. The beach tables are subject to a lot of activity from children in the vicinity.

My husband and I have been regulars for many years, we watched the evolution from a fast food restaurant chain, eventually to Bathers. It is a magic spot in Fremantle and the staff do a fantastic job to enhance the experience. Food is always great and I find myself enjoying one of the fabulous cocktails while watching the ocean. They also have the beach service, which I thing is amazing but I hope the staff get paid more as the work is so much more demanding, especially in the heat. I can’t recommend this place more highly, and would be devastated to ever have a bad experience. I think it would be like a bad divorce.

Fabulous outlook over the beach. It has a reasonable menu and the meals are well presented. Their wine list is fair, with prices starting from $45 a bottle. Staff were eager and friendly but need a lot more training. Our wait person hadn't heard of Brandy or Bailey's Irish Cream Liqueur. They don't have small bottles of sparkling water. They provide full table service, but you must go to the counter to pay. American Express cards are accepted.

Barramundi was good but was with mushy peas and grilled lettuce. Weird. Not big portions. More of just a family restaurant than if you are looking for a great meal. Great place for casual food and drinks with the lovely ocean as your backdrop. Perfect for small or large groups and kid friendly. Tables outside seem to be quite popular especially on a nice sunny day. Service was friendly and food came out at a decent pace. All dishes were great as mentioned by the table except that the burger could’ve done with more seasoning. The kids meals also could’ve been slightly bigger as well. Apart from that I would recommend the marinara pasta & fish & chips. Easily accessible via 2 entrances.

Unique establishment that parks up deck chairs on a secluded bit of sand on Bathers Beach. The highlight is undoubtedly kicking back during the sunset with a cocktail in hand looking out to sea. Wow... Went here for lunch. Ordered the mussels... We were sooo SURPRISED. They came out nearly immediately!! And they were sooo good. Didn't expect them to have a thai green curry flavour! I went here for dinner last Friday night with my partner, got a nice seat at the window, where we could see the beach and the stormy weather that night. The server was lovely, and service was quick, the share plates were amazing we had the sweet potato chips and the chicken bites. Delicious. We also had an main each, the pork belly and the chicken breast. The mains, although nice, were not quite as nice as the share plates. Would recommend this place for a nice tapas style dinner with friends.

Monday lunch! Beautiful day made perfect by a absolutely to die for seafood share platter. Every single piece of seafood was cooked perfectly. Not often you have a seafood platter that is not all deep fried! The sardines were flaking off the bone!, Garlic prawns had so much flavour! There is a garlic butter sauce to dip into aswell! Not only was the food great the service was too. It was busy for a Monday lunch but nothing took too long! Will definitely be back again!

Wow!! The food here is just wow!!! I had the pineapple WA Baramundi which was incredibly delish, every mouthful was savoured and a delight to eat!! Also had the pulled pork sliders which were incredibly juicy and delectable! Service was very attentive without being obtrusive. Prices are pretty standard for freo, I actually think it was quite good value and they could probably charge more as the place was packed!! Definitely coming back here ♥

Very nice, quiet beach venue. Options for outdoor seating, equally nice air conditioned indoor seating, and beachside sun lounges. Great food and drinks selection too. Definitely recommended. Some room for improvement with more outdoor seating overlooking the beach, better shade for outdoor seating, and cushions for the sun lounges. I had the salt and pepper squid, and sweet potato fries; squid was good, though fairly average, as were the fries. 6/10 for both, 9/10 for the venue, 10/10 for drinks range.

Loved this place!! Definitely recommend the gin flight it’s such a great deal for the amount of gin you get. We also ordered the squid, the croquettes and the kangaroo entrees. The kangaroo and squid entrees were both absolutely amazing!

Wow what a beautiful place! My cousin and I came here for the seafood platter which was AMAZING. Everything was sooo fresh and perfectly cooked/seasoned. We enjoyed every mouthful and it was a perfect amount for 2, even 3. The waitor was so lovely and friendly. We will be back and recommending to others!

Wait staff are very friendly and food quite nice. Pork belly, beef croquettes and the mussels were amazing (especially the mussels)! Oysters kilpatrick were on special (6 for $20) which is not particularly cheap at all and tasted like Masterfoods BBQ sauce. Other than that the views of the beach are nice and I can see why it's always so busy.

Because l booked lunch for 2, gave my name but on arrival the woman at the desk asked my partner who the booking was for, showed us to our table and treated me like l wasn't even there! A large restaurant with plenty of tables, lots of natural light and a great view of the ocean and Bathers Beach. In summer the place gets quite busy especially the outdoor beach area with the deckchairs. The food leans heavily on Fremantle's association with seafood but is otherwise standard pub grub. Nothing too shabby but nothing to rave about either.

Just spent 7 hours there as we are waiting for our flights to go back to Sydney. Drinks and coqueteais are amazing. I would rate food as 8/10. Nice seafood but needs to improve big time the slow cook brisket. What made misses and I the happiest apart from the drinks is actually the music. You guys got the best set I have ever listened to in 12 years of Australia. Hands down for whom play the tunes and make drinks.

I recently hosted a casual family function downstairs and wanted to say a big thanks to Pania (functions) and the staff on the night (Sat 4 Sept) for looking after us. Food platters were delicious, generous sizing and came out on time as ordered. You guys did really well considering how busy it was, would definitely recommend BBH if you're thinking of having a birthday/celebration here.

came for lunch on a Friday no reservation the manager was super friendly and made us feel very welcome got us a great table closest to the windows to look out at the ocean. we ordered the green curry mussels, pork belly and fish and chips. mussels were delicious the pork was still a little gelatinous could of had a tad bit more crunch to the skin but still good flavour and the fish n chips well they were just fish and chips and the side of coleslaw that came with it felt like a last minute chuck on the plate and very over dressed . over all we were happy with the food and the service was fantastic cocktails are great and great location

Great ambience, good drinks. Have been a few times and the food is consistently average. This time ordered a grazing (tasting) platter that was mostly cured meat and hummus. Nothing was bad, but the variety on the platter for 50$ was very lacking (salami and chorizo are basically the same thing and were served in huge quantities next to proscuitto that needed to be shaved not sliced, pickled veggies that was just sliced pickles and heaps of olives, a small amount of bread and crackers and hummus. It would have been much nicer with some fresh vegetables, variations of meat and an extra dip). Honestly, not impressed. But service was lovely as always.

Amazing place right on the water. The barramundi (green curry) is is to die for. Make sure you get the sweet potato fries to go along with it. The calamari entree is also great. Definitely recommend it.

Food was very nice and quick to come out, but when we wanted drinks every wait staff we asked said they couldn't serve us. After 4 different staff said this, we went to the bar only to be told they only had 2 staff able to take drink orders as most of the staff don't speak English very well. If you are going to make it table service, either have more staff that can take drink orders or employ more English speaking staff.

The menu was excellent and offered a wide variety of modern Australian cuisine, along with a few staples for any fussy eaters that would still prefer a burger or fish and chips (nothing wrong with that!) however we shared the seafood tasting plate and the meat/cheese tasting plate and there was plenty for all 6 of us. The cocktails were fantastic and very well presented, we were all very impressed. And they have an extensive beer list with many local craft beer options as well as your traditional staples. The food quality was great and our complements to the chef/chefs. Everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The service was also next level, while still being friendly and relaxed. You could totally feel comfortable here no matter what.

This is about the fourth time I've eaten there. It's satisfactory but only just. The biggest problem is that they are not consistent in regard to service. They don't appear to be welcoming. There was no one to greet us even though we had booked and another couple who were also waiting decided to walk away. The menu was fine and the waiters who attended to us were courteous. The quality of the dishes were good but not great. However, the music was too loud for the restaurant area. The final insult is that they had charged us for things that we didn't order - lucky I asked to see an itemised bill. Overall, it's ok for a casual meal but not for nice dinner or special occasion. I think they can do better.

We had a large group of seventeen for a birthday lunch and the staff were very efficient and timed our courses very well. All our guests were very impressed and thought they would return. We ended up staying for four hours.

The location and layout of this venue is really nice, overlooking bathers beach. We were greeted with excellent service and promptly delivered a drink whilst the Wait staff also advised of the specials. The menu wasn't too bad with a number of good options. We did have to ask how long our order was as it took a while for the food to come out and it wasn't too busy and our order was not huge. It did come out right away after asking. The food was presented nicely, however, it was fairly average on the palate. The sliders which sounded good on the menu, were cold and boring on the taste spectrum. The buns were kind of tough, not stale but not nice to swallow if that makes sense. The share platter looked the part, but again the bread aspect was not very enjoyable. Perhaps replacing with pita would work better. The macaroni cheese items were actually pene pasta and not hugely tasteful. The cold meats were not too bad, but the olives and capsicum were average if that. Upon paying for the meal and asking what we thought, the manager who happened to be taking payment could hear the scepticism in our tone so we were honest with our feedback similar to what I've written prior. He took the feedback well, apologised and was grateful saying they would look into things taking our feedback into account. He also promptly reduced our bill by 15% which he didn't have to do but definitely was appreciated and a good business decision. Sometimes things don't go to plan and the Bathers Beach staff were great and the management too. From a business perspective they did very well, thus ensuring they will see us back again to give it another try. If it wasn't for the food aspect it would be 5 stars. Will be happy to change rating to this after the next visit if this is fixed up.

The alfresco area was nice but extremely dark, couldn't see any of our meals - maybe needs lighting if they are going to seat people there for meals. Hot wings were great, but that is it for the praise unfortunately. My kangaroo entree was very dry, seafood plate for two was not great, the chilli mussel sauce was confusing, oysters had shell in it, octopus was tough. Fish was cooked well, but everything seemed extremely salty. As I work in hospitality I am usually pretty lenient, but for $80 worth of seafood, and most of it was not enjoyable, I was pretty disappointed.

Food quality can be improved. Ordered sweet potato chips, turn up soft n soggy. Disappointed over the ratings. Crispy skin chicken would be better if is is crisp till last mouthful. Chicken could do with more flavor.

We were looking for a nice relatively high end restaraunt. So how did we find this one? Well, let me break it down: ATMOSPHERE: Pretty good location, nice aethestics. And a pretty good view of the ocean. Nothing to complain about there. So I give it a 9.5 out of 10. SERVICE: Overall above average. The biggest issue of contention was not the behaviour of the staff, but more about the sense of restriction on our choices for venues and food. We asked if we can change tables to one outside since our baby seemed much more comfortable being out. They said we could but at extra cost. I will explain about the food part in the next section. Overall I give it a 6 out of 10. VARIETY: It is odd how little amount of seafood is for a restaraunt by the ocean. As odd as that was for us, the most disappointing thing was when we were hoping to change from the beer battered fish to grilled fish, this was apparently not going to happen. Either they couldn't or they wouldn't change that order. So we ended up paying for another more expensive meal. This is a big mark against them. 3 out of 10. QUALITY: Not too bad. For the meals we had, it was good, not great. So I will give 7 out of 10. VALUE: The items here were quite costly, the prices ranged from something like $20 to $80+. Our meals were $37 each. So we were expecting it to be phenomenal. But as given in the Quality score, it didn't match. Not bad, but not worth the price it was given. It was more like $20 or $25, should never have exceeded $30. It wasn't a good impression for us. So I give it a 2.5 out of 10. So it summation: ATMOSPHERE: 9.5 SERVICE: 6 VARIETY: 3 QUALITY: 7 VALUE 2.5 Giving a total score of 28 out of 50. Hence why I gave 3 out of 5, and I just rounded it up. If they worked on more flexibility and variety, we would have been much more content with out time there.

Great place for a few beers on a warm afternoon. Edit Update 28/12/20. Still enjoy coming here but there was only 1 person serving on the outside bar resulting in long wait times. In the end we had to place orders at a different desk and get them delivered to the table. Also disappointed in the amount of beer you get in a pint glass. I would suggest that the beer in the photo attached is a short pour. Still a good place, but service seems to be an issue at the moment.

Although it was a lovely view to see the sunset on a Sunday evening, there didn't seem to be much character or atmosphere. There seemed to be excessive lighting which wasn't needed. We sat upstairs and there was an acoustic guitar set that played through the sunset. This wasn't my type of music.
