We had the most delicious dinner and dessert here with our children. The wait staff were efficient, attentive and very friendly. Our waitress assisted us in making the right food choices for our kids so that the flavours weren't too strong. Sure enough, everyone ate their dinner! The desserts were divine and the wood fired pizza cooked to perfection. Would definitely come here again.

Here you’ll find nothing short of ‘Epic Service’..!! Wow and GREAT food and such a wide variety to choose from! Came for a double birthday celebration and we had been given the alfresco private dining area which was wonderful and un-interrupted. However, the main restaurant area is definitely a place i’d love to experience the next time. Busy and bustling but the atmosphere was vibrant and warm! Thanks for the wonderful dining experience guys!

Beyond amazing! We visited for the first time to celebrate my fiances birthday and it was the best restaurant experience we have ever had. We had a 3 course meal including two entrees and alcohol for $124 for two people. The food was incredible and service was excellent. Thankyou to the staff for a wonderful evening. We will be back!!

Very nice food and service . Came for a birthday party of 20 .food came pretty quickly after ordering and all together , pizza, pasta, meat dishes . Everyone enjoyed their meals. Pizza toppings are generous, beef cheek was so tender. Could not fault this restaurant. All our wait staff were smiling and paying attention to our glasses refilling the water carafes .

Outstanding casual Italian restaurant in East Perth with home made pasta & pizza. The meatball pasta which I tried was excellent.. Probably one of the best I've tried so far. The meatball was tender and juicy, which is the way I like it. My wife had the sirloin steak and it was huge. Not bad but I normally wouldn't order steak in an Italian restaurant. Wine selection is good as well with a nice list of affordable Italian and premium wines as well as some Australian wines. Highly recommended.

We've walked past this local Italian many times before we decided to give it a go. From the outside it looked like it could go either way but menu was promising. My partner and I decided to try it on Thursday evening for a dinner. Long story short, my crab pasta promised ingredients which could not be identified on a plate such as chili and basil. Tagliatelle was overcooked and whole sauce smelled very fishy, sauce was thick tomato which I wouldn't describe as the menu did (EVOO, chili, garlic, tomato and basil). Bread (pane di cassa) was unfortunately stale - at least 2 days old with distinctive white dots forming, no crunch to the crust or softness to the center. Very disappointing. Let's say you'd barely eat this at home if you had no options left. Gnocchi were fresh but slightly undercooked, sauce again lacking complexity. Wine recommendation and service was on the other hand lovely. Inspired by the desert menu were decided to give them a chance. My issue was mostly that the menu advertises 'Authentic Italian gelato' yet in the gelato display you can see tubs of Peter's icecream. I think with all the lovely gelato makers around Perth they could step up the game. I opted for panacotta with stewed figs. This was definitely a much closer to the menu description than the pasta, however, one ingredient - cinnamon didn't make it to the plate again. Overall - ok local for parmi night and beer. Nice enough service and well intended menu, if only they hired a slightly more competent chef.. 3/5 for now. Will go back for pizza and give update.

The restaurant was packed so it was wise to book early. We were pleasantly greeted and led to our table. Everything looked clean and tidy. Six of us shared some entrees which were very nice. We tried the Chili Mussels along with some garlic bread and arincini, yumm. Our mains were varied and everyone enjoyed the meal. Most of us didn't end with an empty plate because of entrees and the size of the portions. A couple had deserts and reported that the size and quality were excellent. This was a truly Italian restaurant and we even had a Nonna (celebrating her 90th) pass by saying it our meals looked beautiful. Overall the staff were very pleasant and efficient, the restaurant is well maintained and nicely presented and the food quality and portions were great. 8/10

Great food. Huge portion of beef goulash on polenta. Couldn't finish, food coma. Beef tender and tasty. Wife had spaghetti marinara with generous portions of crab, prawns and mussels in classic Bolognese. Earlier we had the bruschetta with red Bombay onions in place of yellow. Would hv been better if pickled longer, bit overpowering. Waiters were friendly, service fast and food served still steaming from kitchen. We didn't avail of the wine list.

Read the great reviews, came with high expectations and was hoping to taste the quintessential pasta - aglio olio. It's tragic that there's no such option in an Italian restaurant. Asked the waitress for a close match recommendation and was suggested to try the penne arrabiata... Which comes with a tomato base with olives. Not a good match. Still giving it four stars because despite the initial disappointment the arrabiata was one of the best I've tasted. But... Why no aglio olio? T_T

We love Wednesday night here for the Chilli Mussels. They come with bread, finger bowls, napkins - you'll need them because everyone eats mussels differently! It's a busy, no-frills restaurant, clean, modern, bright and attached to a hotel. The pizzas look terrific. Staff are switched on and very helpful and friendly. The house Shiraz vg. Try it!

I've been to many Italian restaurants here in Perth and most of them disappointed me. I've been going to Bistro Bella Vista for years now and their food, their service, their atmosphere are impeccable. It feels like you are at the backyard of house in Italy, eating from a local family owned business. The staff is very friendly, the ambience of the restaurant is simple but very cosy, and the owners are more like old friends. They are professional and very committed to their customers.

Had a family meal here on a Saturday night. The restaurant looked fully booked but the service had made us feel like we were the only ones there. Today we had our daughter's wedding reception at Bistro Bellavista East Perth. The host, Alfredo, was accommodating in every way possible and made the planning stress free. The food was delicious and generous and the wait staff were polite and prompt. It was a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. We found Bistro Bellavista to be excellent value.

Very friendly staff, and great takeaway service (we picked up our dinner from the window outside the restaurant about 30 minutes after ordering over the phone, on a busy Friday night). Highly recommend the melt-in-your-mouth beef cheek and decadent tiramisu! The pizza base was also amazing (their pizzas have apparently won awards). Also got a bottle of wine for $10 with the meal - bonus! The only things we didn't like were the veggies... definitely room for improvement there (almost ruined the meal)!

It was a busy place but the crew and manager made sure to constantly dash through every table. One good sign of a great service is they constantly top up our water - any reason to check up the table and talk to people. A place to be for a date night with wifey during my wedding anniversary!!!! Bistro Bella Vista has recently gone through a major renovation which made the place very vibrant and welcoming. I often travel from Frankfurt to Perth for business and this restaurant is a must every time. All dishes are delicious and you should definitely try the pizza made in a wood fire oven. Also the good selection of Italian wines is a tremendous plus. The staff is really caring and Alfredo is an enthusiastic manager with a great sense of humour.

I found this restaurant to be very nice even down to the fact that the person that group of us at the front door seated us also became our waiter for the whole night and looked after our every need until we left which I thought was a good touch since you can sometimes be served by 10 different people at a restaurant. The food was delicious There seem to be a few different seating arrangements which accommodated different situations so you could go there for a quick bite you could go there as a group or you could even go there as a romantic night out with your partner it seem to have it all covered. I found the service to be very prompt without error and the food was delicious there was not much of a wait for anything that we requested. There were 10 of us that were there and it averaged out at and affordable $40 per head which I was pleasantly surprise about as the quality of the service the food the drinks and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted but wasn’t expecting. If you haven’t been to this restaurant I would definitely give it a visit as you may be pleasantly surprise with the wood fired oven pizza all the beautiful Italian cuisine

You know what? I think this is my favourite Italian restaurant in Perth. You can't go wrong. Beautiful quality food, great variety of drinks, attentive and friendly service. Doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is spacious and well presented. I wouldn't call this a "cheap eats" place but it's not terribly expensive either. Plenty of specials on offer too. I do recommend booking ahead.

We had a small lunch here today after arriving at the Baileys Motel to finish our 3 week tour of the south western region. We were greeted warmly, at 1.45pm on a Sunday and seated without any pressure to hurry. We only wanted a smaller type meal as we had intentions of going for some Vietnamese for dinner.(Not so sure we will make it after lunch!) We ordered the garlic bread and a spaghetti marinara and two glasses of house red. Absolutley great - garlic bread that was toasted on both sides with a nice crusty edge and plenty of garlic and the spaghetti, together with mussels in the shell, prawns, squid and a crab puree was absolutely great. Highly recommended.

It was an Okay experience. Food was pretty normal, wouldn’t say it’s outstanding, just nice to fill you up. The Fagottini Con Pollo E Spinachi was probably over cooked as the pasta was really soft and mushy. The filling inside the bundles was alright, nothing too special about it. However, bruschetta was really refreshing as it was topped with juicy freshly diced tomatoes, red onion, garlic, virgin oil and basil. I really like the taste of it and it the bread had a nice crunch on it. It’s really appetising and I’d be ordering this again during my 2nd visit. In overall, there are still rooms for improvements. Customer service wise was pretty good.

Staying at the Bailey Motel or anywhere around Perth City? Well look no further for lunch or dinner and head to the Bistro Bella Vista on Bennett Street. And it's sporting a fresh look to complement the great fresh wine and food menu. We visited on Wednesday night, which was Pizza, Pasta and Parmigiana night. Meals from $14.90 and absolutely everything from the chianti, garlic bread, gnocchi and pasta to the gelato were superb. With everything made 'in house's the ingredients were singing, but were light and lively on the palate. Three courses for three people around $95. It's a busy place so make sure you book. There's also woodfired pizza made before your eyes, a cellar and a bunch of gelato flavours. Heaven for the palate!

I couldn't believe ! Spaghetti with Bottarga in Perth !!! That has been Awesome. It something unreal. Only if you have been in Sardinia, you can understand Bottarga. Genuine Italian food . Take me back!! What an absolute delight this place is. Alfredo and staff very professional and nothing is to much trouble. And the food? Absolutely fabulous. 11 of us. Quite a few had the steak which was top quality. All cooked exactly as asked no mean feat theses days. Some had fish which was lovely. Parmigiana which was huge. And pizzas to start with lovely dough. Only small complaint not enough tomato sauce on them? Desserts amazing,tiramisu,crème brûlée,ice cream and coffee very good. Can’t wait to return!!
