My go to place for a good BBQ pork dish. I like their portion size, for me it shows value. My favourite is the Malaysian BBQ pork noodle. The Malaysian style has more samcan (fat), it makes the dish much tastier. Although I find the Malaysian BBQ pork is too soft, it doesn't take away the delicious taste of the dish. I tried their laksa. It is thick and creamy, just the way I like my laksa broth, it can use a little bit more salt to pull the taste out more. The laksa has yellow noodle, tofu, fish balls, fishcake slices, and bean sprout. I added roast pork over BBQ pork amd hainanese chicken this time. When you need something quick for your lunch or dinner, Chop Chop will please your tummy, only IF you can get a parking spot.

This is probably one of the best roast pork/barbecue places in Perth. The flavour is just amazing. The chicken rice is very tender and the sauce was sweet and spicy. The crispy pork was very crunchy and delicious. The restaurant even has complimentary tea. If you are looking for food in Perth, this is a must try. I am definitely coming again :)

CITY LOCATION: Of the very few places in the city that are open on a Sunday now this place is still decent. Good spot for a quick work lunch on weekdays too! Staff are fast, food is flavourful & nice enough, portions are pretty decent too. The 2 dropped stars is because they don’t always offer a choice of what cut comes with your Hainanese chicken rice (ie: Thigh or Breast) so you have to deal with all the tiny bones etc. Also with this dish, it’s the same rice given as every other dish (so no chicken flavoured rice as it’s actually meant to be) which is disappointing. Food can be a little bit oily but it depends on which meat you’re having. Parking can be a pain for this location. Just a heads up, is a 1% surcharge for using your card to pay. Still I’d happily eat here when convenient ie: if I was already in the area. Wouldn’t go well out of my way for it though.

Found this little hidden gem in the city last week. We were on the hunt for a good restaurant and were lucky enough to find this place. The aroma of the food was so good. This is great place to dine and have quick meal with friends and family. You pay for your order at counter so no need bill splitting later. Everyone pay own fare. Food is tasty and reasonable size serve. I can share my main with my 8 year old kid. If we order one dish each, kid ends up not finishing her plate or bowl of food.

Had the combination meats with rice and combination with noodles and it was very tasty! We got to try the roast pork (with yummy crispy crackling), roast duck and bbq pork and they all tasted so good. It comes with some pickled vegetables and broth. You also can add as much some spring onions, soy sauce or chili sauce as you like and the tea is also complimentary. Each dish is between $11 to $13 so great value. The staff was also very welcoming. We will be back!

The place is nice and cozy. The food was delicious but came out a little cold but still edible. They have free tea and a few types of chilli options on a side table. If you want to take your food away after eating at the restaurants the containers are 0.50 cents which I thought was a-bit too expensive for 1 small container and no carry bag. The staff and service was good.

Don’t know what else to say..... this was really good. Would give 5stars if they could improve quality standards. Especially for the roasted pork, most of the time are excellent but I experienced couple of times with drooped quality where I can’t even finish half of it due to its smell and texture. My first review on Chop Chop BBQ. Had a takeway order (KL BBQ Char Siew Rice) via UberEats. So this review is solely on the quality of the dish. Food was nicely and adequately packed. At first glance, it look great but looks can be deceiving. Flavour of the rice is lacking. I’ve eating many chicken rice in my lifetime to know what ginger or garlic rice should taste like. Chop Chop’s lacks those distinctive flavours. Char Siew has a good char but it didn’t tasted like Char Siew to me. More like a braised fatty pork in some sweet sauce. I find the texture too soft. There’s a fine line when using a fatty meat to make Char Siew. Yes it should be moist and tender, but this way too soft. I will try their Roast Pork and Hainan Chicken next to see if they are any good. Comparison - Hong Kei Riverton. Their fatty char siew is much better.

I had a combination of two meats with rice. I opted for BBQ pork and duck roast. The food was very good and ambience was okay. I also really enjoyed the chili oil that was kept on the common table. The dish itself was served with a sort of a soup and chilli sauce. There's free tea also available. Please see photo for the combination i had. Excellent food and good service.

WoW!! Just amazing. From the time you walk in you are made to feel so welcome. The staff explained all their dishes to us as we had never been there before. They are so proud of their menu & so they should be. Any place that serves a chicken broth straight up is going to be a good time! We had the duck & the pork & it was one of our best meals out ever. The prices are very good for this style of food. We are travelling but I do hope we can sneak one more visit before we leave.

First time ordering online at this store and location. Needed to get dinner for my sick wife. Process was straight forward, as I had put through a time order. Once arrived, everything was packed and ready to go. After a train ride home and when I got home, I prepared the take away that I order. The order was completely wrong which I thought was pretty disappointing, as the process was so seamless. Cannot really fault anything else for now, I would rate a 3.5 out of 5 for the overall experience. A note for next time I order take away, will have to open the bag to check the order before a 30 minute trip home!

I've read many favourable reviews from people from Singapore and Malaysia. They were right. The chicken., char siu, barbecued pork, and roast duck here are very good. They are all very authentic and tasty. Some dishes come with a choice between rice and noodles. Both are good. The rice is tasty and the noodles well done; not over or under-cooked; Al dente for noodles? Good portions and prices. You get a decent soup and hot tea is free. Friendly and fast service. Credit cards are accepted.

The boneless roast pork here is insanely good. I can't recommend it highly enough, it is consistently excellent and the best in Perth! You need to call ahead a day in advance if you're only getting meat for takeaway, min 250g. The chicken rice is also nice though not exceptional, you do get a generous amount for $3. Complimentary tea and all the condiments etc if you're dining in. Definitely give it a try!

I am extremely surprised with the quality of food and taste I ordered to be delivered. It was so delicious I haven’t even finished I had to come here to write this down. I’ve ordered a combination meat and rice containing roast pork and Hainanese chicken which I never had but loved to try. It came a great portion of rice and meat and the chicken sauce was just delicious. Also I’ve ordered vegetable spring rolls which were crispy, fresh and great size. Overall, very good value price for food presented. Please keep the price vs quality as there are no many good restaurantes with fair prices around.

We ordered lotus chips and bean sprouts which came first. Followed by roast chicken rice and as fatty char xiu and crispy pork. The food wasn't too bad but they can definitely work on cleanliness. You can see the oil stains on the plate, dirty and wet floors, 8 out of 10 spoons had dried food on them, as with their small bowls that they give out. I feel like it's ok as a take out restaurant but even pre-covid situation, they must really work on cleaning their stuff.

Minimal fuss restaurant, with simple menu making it easy for customers to decide. I ordered the haniense chicken rice and a small serving of BBQ pork and crispy pork, all three dishes were very delcious and full of flavour, the pork was crispy, the chicken was soft and tender. If you want to order the meat not part of a meal, min order is 250grams.. I wanted to try the duck but they only had 1left and it was already reserved for orders already taken, so perhaps next time. Food is very well presented and the sauce that comes with the meals compliments the meat. Will definitely be coming again to try some of the other dishes. Reasonably price too.

Great authentic food and very friendly owner and staff! First time I tried it and been addicted since then. The hainanese chicken is to die for, succulent meat and fragrant chicken rice. Very generous portion, even with a chilli table you can help yourself to it, and complimentary chinese tea. Meal comes with refreshing coleslaw, cucumber and soup. The roast pork and duck are fantastic too. Overall, it is a highly recommended place if you want to have good yummy food in the city.

Authentic restaurant serving great tasting BBQ meats (including roast pork with crackling) and succulent Hainanese Chicken Rice like it was made in Kuala Lumpur. This restaurant can get quite busy at lunch with indoor tables and a long wall bench, but takeaway is also available - particularly if you want to takeaway meats such as Roast Pork, Roast Duck and BBQ pork to eat at home. Overall, the food is a must try for some delicious street style food.

We love our monday night dining at Chop - Chop, the food is fantastic and the service is fabolous. Four of us and 2 kids love our Food especially the soft and succulent chicken and the cashew. We've decided to go check out Chop Chop a new HK BBQ restaurant in Perth CBD barrack st. There was a tiny wait for our food but it's all good. We ordered the noodles, with roast duck, roast chicken, bbq pork, char siew. Because of the wait, the owner gave us a free plate of Hainan chicken rice. That's good customer service. We will return to the restaurant again to try their rice dishes.
