Can't recommend this place enough! Absolutely beautiful food! Flavour is clearly extremely important and it shows, each course building on the previous and going to another level. While the portions are understandably smaller than your typical restaurant, it's what's expected when the food comes out so wonderfully presented packed with so much flavour. The Wine pairings were selected excellently and the staff were beyond wonderful. Thankyou for such a great evening to celebrate my anniversary! Can't wait to come again.

Went there on a Thursday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday had their 7 course degustation with matching wines. Could not have been happier. Beautifully crafted food served in a very relaxed way by knowledgeable staff who really seemed to be enjoying their work. Just the right amount of everything. The restaurant is a tastefully modified quite modest house in a northern beach suburb of Perth. The atmosphere was cosy and congenial. Full marks.

Before 10pm they started loudly counting coins as if they wanted everyone to leave. When we asked for another bottle of wine was told they were closing early due to staff members birthday. I would of liked to have been told this earlier during night.

It’s nice to see the attention to detail in the presentation of the food combined with exquisite flavours and excellent service. Definitely a five star restaurant. The restaurant was full for a Tuesday night and had a great atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat on that special outing this is it! Don't expect to be stuffed to the gills but be ready to have your taste buds set alight. These are quality ingredients prepared to perfection. I've eaten here many times and they maintain a consistently high level.

Once again... Australia is full of great surprises. As an American travelling about for 6 weeks across this continent...2 things became clear. There IS great food here...AND... somd of the best values were at the nicest/upscale places. The 6 course degustation at Clarkes was simply amazing. The skill and love that went into each course showed cleary. Amazing service and great wine pairings. From this Foodie to you.... highly recommend.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. It's cosy and not as formal as other the dinings. All tables will have the same dish around the same time. The value to money is great, they could easily charge higher. But, the last desert was simply not suitable for holding a candle, and the candle fell down after a few seconds.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Clarke's. It is a beautiful, elegant restaurant and the staff are wonderful and went above and beyond to provide us a fantastic evening, catering to different dietary requirements for some members of our party. The 7 course degustation was fantastic, each dish was beautifully presented and was absolutely delicious! The Akoya for the first course was beyond amazing and is the only oyster dish I have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is absolutely fantastic and the service is top knotch.

I recently attended Clarke's with a group of friends to try there 7 course degustation. I had heard from a friend that the food was amazing and im happy to report they were right! Being a big eater (and a big guy) i didn't know what to expect as i knew the portions sizes were alot smaller than i was used to but by course 5 I actually found myself getting full! Every course that came out not only looked great and tasted just as good And complemented the dish before it. The service was polite and friendly and the waiter took the time to tell me exactly what I was trying which really added to the experience. I would definatley recommend the experince to anyone thank you team Clarke's for making our celebration one to remember 😁

I had the pleasure of dining at Clarkes sat 5th December with my 12 year old son. We were seated near Xiaowei Wang who left an unpleasant review. Let me tell you what I saw. Patrons arrived late well after the 6.30 first course was meant to be served so it delayed the whole service, not a big deal. All the courses were beautifully presented and were delicious. Xiaowei has every right to ask for and expect the doneness of her steak to her liking but remember this is a degustation not an ala carte dining experience. I did see you send the steak back twice and having read your review you said raw steak was served to you is quite absurd! Stephen Clarke is an outstanding chef and for you to suggest he would serve you a steak that would harm you and your unborn is ludicrous, and it was served with a beef jus that the waitress pours over upon serving tableside not a white sauce. You also quote" it's not as simple as just leave it in a hot pan or oven with certain temperature for a couple of seconds, then you are fine" well how would you bloody well expect the chef to cook it upon return to the kitchen KAREN? No doubt the chef fired up another fresh piece anyway. You say no hospitality manner from the manager, I saw a manager dealing with a difficult customer with grace so as not to disrupt other diners experience. You also mention you could not continue to finish the remaining courses because you couldn't trust what was being served to you well guess what you missed out on two of the nicest desert courses I've had in many years. If you had have hung around before being ungraciously being manhandled out the door by your husband/ boyfriend you would have seen Stephen Clarke making his way outside the front door to satisfy your complaints but you were gone. You made a special night for me and my son a little awkward but hey he's 12 and he had better manners than you.

Such a lovely restaurant! Soft lighting and music. No banging and clanging in the background and the food was superb! A great way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Most of the staff were pleasant. Maybe one or two just got out of bed on the wrong side that day. 🙄

Enjoyed a very delicious meal here. The atmosphere was intimate. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The fish of the day was King George Whiting and it was absolutely fabulous. Restaurants like this are not cheap - but you are paying for the excellent food and the ambience. Oh, and it does happen to be in the gold section of the entertainment book so you will get 25% off if you have the card.

I tossed up for ages whether to give 3 or 4 stars. We went for the degustation menu. One of the party was both vegetarian and Celiac, and the restaurant made a good effort to cater for that. Our courses ranged from interesting to excellent, the produce fresh and well prepared, our only criticism was the portions were very small even for a degustation. The problem for us and it was quite a big one, was you can only get perculated coffee. At a restaurant of that standard getting fresh esspresso or cappuccino should be considered the norm. The cups arrived half full, my husband asked for another and asked if it could be filled up. When my son asked for a second cup we were told by the waitress that she would have to ask if she was allowed to make another pot as my husbands second cup was the last one brewed. We finished our night by going to an Italian place to get Coffee

Brilliant. Tasty food, excellent service, cosy venue - it was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. I really enjoyed the pork belly for entree followed by the quail. Worth every penny. The wait staff were mainly friendly (I think one was having an off night), but all were helpful choosing food and the right wine.

We have been previously for dinner which was excellent however weren't as impressed this time around for lunch. Food was nice but the only real standout was the lamb which is superb and rhubarb crumble was also nice. Everything else still well cooked and presented but just lacked any real strong flavor.

Michelle and I just started going through the best restaurants EVER. 1st is Per Se which is Michelin 3 star in New York. 2nd was a Michelin recommended in Berlin called Bieberbau. Having worked as a chef in a French fine dining restaurant I had high expectations of Clarke's & it didn't disappoint. We enjoyed the degustation with wine pairing and the food was excellent with some real finesse. The wine pairing was probably the best I've ever experienced with some really interesting international wines that were perfect. The maitre de was very friendly & knowledgeable (he matched the wines) and other staff courteous & efficient. The decor and lighting was spot on with some nice artwork too. All in all an excellent experience.

Hidden Gem! I surprised my partner Cameron for his 40th birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our fine dining degustation experience. Every mouthful of food was exquisite and visually beautiful. The staff were knowledgeable from the wine pairing to courteously answering our curious foodie questions. They accommodatingly put a candle on the sweets plate to acknowledge the special occasion for our outing. Well worth the cost. Highly recommend.

I think it is overpriced for the food that you actually get. One piece of lamb cutlet and lamb sheppards pie is hardly fine dinning. I could do that myself at home. Topped off by one carrot and a tasteless bit of sponge. A bit dissapointing and won't go back again.
