Comments of Epicurean

Everything about buffet lunch on a Sunday was fantastic …. The food, the service, the presentation - all of it was perfect. Definitely do not eat breakfast on the day you go to Epicurean! Most definitely the fresh seafood and salad bars were the highlight. It’s a fantastic place for large groups of people! It’s pricey ($115 per person) but worth it !!
S. B.
Amazing lunch for my birthday celebration. Great for people the like cold food such as oysters, sashimi, salads, prawns ect. Although the oysters could have been more fresh. Not as good hot food options. Deserts are amazing. The surprise birthday cake from the chef was nice! Cocktails are amazing.

Havent had buffet for a long time. First time here and wow so many fooooooood choices! Great quality meat, fresh seafood, awesome dessert! Was so full after the meal, happy tummy!

Good value for the breakfast buffet, great selection of foods. Traditional / continental as well as Indian / Asian options. Tons of fruit, salad, juices, coffee / tea, and delicious desert parties. Something for everyone.

Went to this restaurant Saturday night at 8pm. Food was ok I’d rate 8/10 with a good choice of food similar food to the Attrium@Crown.
However the drink table service was poor and took us 30 mins to get a bottle of Rose to go with the fish which we’d finished by the time it came. When asked about the wine I advised the waitress about the delay and she said oh well it’s here now!! We were a party of 9 and it was quicker to keep running to the bar for drinks than rely on table service.
In summary it was a 3.5 out of 5 star expect I couldn’t rate a 3.5 and couldn’t go for 4 star due to poor service and huge queues
Also toilets were disgusting with 2 you Urinals blocked with vomit. I did give reception the heads up and they said they already new.

If you are staying in Crown Towers or want the best buffet in Perth then this is the place to go to.
This place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Go to whichever one and you will simply get so much choice of food to choose that you surely won’t be able to eat every single selection on the buffet list. There is so much selection it is unbelievable.
But the main thing is quality not quantity and this place delivers. Mostly tasty food as well. Really nice, poshy ambience, fast efficient service, tasty and so much selection of food. What more could you ask from a buffet restaurant. This is Perths ultimate and best buffet restaurant!!

What a great venue for family and friends to gather, clean, food is amazing. A bit slow on drink service, it was busy.
Just a tip, we booked 6 months ago, the day we went in the price had changed to Christmas price. $20 a head more. We couldn't tell the difference with menus, we didnt get a bon bon. IF it's only the decorations your paying for, go outside of peak Christmas time. It would have been nice to have been told. We would have chosen the week before as it was a social club.

We had breakfast at Epicurean. There’s a selection of cold and hot dishes. There are some gluten free dishes. Coffee, tea is included but you’ll have to order through the waiters. There’s a variety of breads, salads, pickles, dips, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses, sliced cold cut hams, eggs cooked different ways (omelette needs to be ordered through waiters), sausages, bacon, baked beans, potato gems, baked potatoes, mushrooms, curries and rice, dim sums, noodles, congee, miso soup, pancakes, waffles, fruit salad, fruits, juices, churros, croissants, cakes, muffins.

Food, ambience, service, everything was wonderful for a family get together in the weekend. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly. Thank you so much, Tarshi! You made my birthday great.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Epicurean yesterday. I thought there was a great selection of food in the buffet with all tastes catered for, so I was able to be picky and focus on what I love: seafood, vegetables and dessert. I didn't even get to the cheese selection; I was too full. The service was excellent. Our waitress (Jocelyn?) was attentive, polite and responsive, and just like all staff throughout Crown Towers, helpful, well mannered and efficient. A great Singapore-style experience! Well done. Would love to go back.

I'm not a big fan of buffets, but my experience here was pretty good. There was a good selection of cold and hot foods and lots of sweet treats for dessert. The oysters were delicious, along with the prawns. The crab was too small to bother eating though lol. There were tasty olives, cold meats and a very large selection of breads. For hot mains and sides, there was nice curries, meat, spring rolls, dumplings and plenty of other yummy things. The majority of the sweets were small cakes, profiteroles and alike. These were generally quite delicious. There were also a couple of larger dishes, like a take on bread and butter pudding, mousse cake, creams etc. along with a few fruit options and some lollies. I came for lunch outside of the festive pricing-time and found it value for money. The interior is a bit dark, but is nicely furnished.

Beautiful surroundings, fabulous food. It is buffet food, so you can help yourself to your favourite foods.

I have been here once a year for the last three years and it is interesting to see the changes in the restaurant over time.
The third time I went, the Epicurean no longer has sashimi available as part of their selection which was disappointing, and no...smoked salmon doesn't count. They still had their cooked prawns and oysters, but I recall there being a larger selection of seafood.
The hot meats section is good this time round, compared to previous years, but they still had the issue of cues of people lining up. It was later advised by the staff that you don't need to cue if you want any of the other hot foods and that the cue was only for the 4 meats section, which I didn't know about previously.
Staff were very attentive, clearing our tables of our completed dishes in a timely manner. They also brought out our drinks in a reasonable amount of time as well.
They have introduced a QR code on the table, allowing patrons to view the drink menu, where in the past, the drink menu was on laminated paper, a good change. Unfortunately, the QR code doesn't give an option to order your drinks from it, which should be considered for implementation in future.
Overall, the restaurant is a delight. It unfortunately is out of my budget to go more than once a year. There are promotions and different times of the week which you can attend to save a bit of money, and like most buffet style restaurants, you need to book in advance.

I’ll give it 3 stars tonight… 1st of January 5 ⭐️
My wife had an off oyster 🦪 ( would not have any more )
Prawns 🍤 were rubbery
Crab was mushy
Fruit 🍉 selection was poor only 3 choices
Water melon looked like it had been in the sun for 2 days
Grapes were woeful.
3 stars was for the hot food.. very good indeed
Roast meats always good
Dessert 🍮 was sensational..
I’m very disappointed in the seafood
Look it was fabulous a month ago but tonight was disappointing 😔😔😔

I like the epicurean, loads of food and delicious food, dishes well displayed and excellent value, nice location, perfect for Christmas or every time of the year.
R. K.
This gorgeous place is located next to the pools at crown towers. We went recently for breakfast and the fold options were a lot, European, Indian and Asian and little Turkish options.
A lot of options for eggs, cereal, hot and cold options as well as hot and cold drinks.
The sweets Have too many options from cakes to donuts to waffles and most importantly a chocolate fountain.
The fruits and vegetables are really fresh. The place is sparkling clean & the staff are very attentive and friendly.
Coffee was great too 👌🏻 highly recommend this place I would come back again for sure!
L. M. R.
My husband and I love this place. Buffet options you can never go wrong in. Worth the money spent!
R. E.
Decent feed although the meat carvery looked dry and untendered.
The seafood had a good selection and loved the curries. A really big choice of deserts.Unless your a huge eater don’t expect great value for the price.Great ambience and overall a good experience.
G. M.
Really enjoyed our first visit and we will certainly hope to return. Wonderful table service/waitstaff, quality food, great selection/variety and incredible dessert selection. Would only suggest to include table numbers as I was unable to recall my table location initially since no belongings could be left unattended and there was no clear landmarks or “areas” as a reminder. Overall a great experience
R. B.
An enjoyable experience and worth a visit. The first time you go it's really great but there's not a lot to go back regularly for. Price varies significantly between mid week lunch serving and weekend dinner servings but the food is pretty much the same. Great quality food especially the seafood. A nice buffet experience but I always feel obliged to eat lots considering the price and then leave feeling sick 😂 my own fault really!
T. G.
A wonderful atmosphere and setting. Awesome range of foods set to tease the tastebuds. Something for every taste. Our group of 12 ate till we dropped in the hotel room afterwards. And you can walk through all the adjoining buildings to enjoy the atmosphere. A great night out and once you start eating you kind of forget the price tag. For me it's probably a once of but once is always better than never hey
G. S.
We went there for the first time for the dinner buffet. They have so much variety of food. The restaurant itself is beautiful from the inside. Great customer service. Food was delicious. It was expensive but worth it in my opinion. You must go there to celebrate a special occasion. You will not be disappointed. Only one complaint though. The fruit section had a cherry sitting on top that had fungus on it. I showed it to the staff and they apologised and removed just that cherry not the surrounding ones also. Its common in supermarkets also but i had to tell everyone how my experience was and yet i still gave it 5 stars.
A. W.
The food needs to be kept topped up. I had to wait a long time for roast pork. Also I had Peking duck without the pancakes as there were none. When there is a less than 2 hour time limit for the meal time, I expect all food to be available at all times, especially in a restaurant of this calibre. Otherwise, we had a wonderful meal as always. Thank you
K. P.
Went there for lunch. Love their seafood options, especially their fresh oysters. The rest of the food was nice. Their mousses and pies were amazing and highly recommended. Perfect for the dessert.
S. S.
Staff were very kind and helpful. It is a beautiful place with a nice lay out and nice food on offer. Avoid going on a weekend at dinner time, though. The line to get food was quite long and you would spend a fair while getting your food - kinda felt like prison. The food is nice but not great nor worth the price. Atrium is better.
A.
Love the food. Very good mixture. Good service. Strange way they have the arrows on the floor. That doesn't make sense. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
M. J.
Took our staff for Xmas Dinner. Food was awesome (especially for $99 per head). Looks fabulous in there and staff very friendly...the new girl serving on her first night was truly helpful (wish she worked at our restaurant).
V. B.
Most amazing High Tea in Perth & definitely the best one I've been to in the country. Huge choice of delicious savoury & sweet foods to choose from. The hour & a half that you have there is a fabulous.
H. P.
Really nice food, by any standards, but particularly for a buffet. Everything I tried was delicious. I'm not that keen on a buffet style eating, but I can make exceptions for something of this quality, so I would definitely consider coming back.
M. D. G.
Excellent food and place. Went there for a special occassion. Great service, staffs are very friendly and attentive. But the birthday cake is a bit expensive, nonetheless the taste is fantastic. 👍
B. W.
Back again for Melbourne cup, its so fantastic, i love the food.
M. C.
Had high tea at the Epicurean today, the choice of food was great, and the food amazing! There is no way you could leave there hungry! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the experience was let down by the coffee. Even after adding an equal amount of hot water as well as milk and sugar, the coffee was still too strong and actually quite bitter. Some tea drinkers in our group also commented on how strong the tea was, probably sitting in the pot to brew for too long. However, it was a great afternoon overall!
O. K.
Like most restaurants in Crown the Epicurean has a great atmosphere with attentive staff. As a party of two we attended the breakfast buffet service. The food and drink was nothing extraordinary, though this is to be expected at the price point of $44pp on a Wednesday morning. I wouldn't return as it is my preference that the atrium has a better range and quality of food. Tick it off you to do list but don't let these other review get your hopes up too much. (for Perth this may be 5 stars, try the Mulia buffet if you visit Bali and you will quickly realise why this review couldn't be five stars).
B. T.
A vast array of hot and cold savoury dishes and immense selection of desserts. A little on the pricey side for a weekday lunch but hey, that's Crown.
S. T.
I live thus place. The staff are polite and helpful. Food is always fresh and tasty. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with my family. Highly recommend.
G. L.
A great place for a buffet with something for everyone. There is a great range of seafood including salmon, oysters, crab and prawns. The hot roast meals always nicely cooked and their Truffle mashed potato goes well with pretty much everything. The range of desert is phenomenal and always stocked up so you don't have wait. Very relaxing atmosphere for a busy restaurant. The staff here are also very courteous so you know you will enjoy your meal.
T. P.
Good food friendly staff a bit on the $$ but all in it was great
We had the Diner buffet meal and we come back have breakfast
M. B.
We tried the festive menu weekday dinner for $85. Great variety of food. I personally wasn’t too excited about the Indian cuisine section although it tasted good. The dessert section was a delight. Although I enjoyed my meal, I will give it 4 stars in comparison to a buffet meal I had elsewhere for a similar price.
K. L.
Very nice venue and good service. Generally, the savoury foods were quite average. However the oysters and dessert bar were good. For the lunch price I think the buffet is worth it but probably would not go for dinner.
C. L.
End of Year celebration lunch is always a hit at Epicurean.
The classy ambience when you walked in, and the smell of the aromatic cuisine is sure to whet your appetite and kick start your rumbling tummy.
There is a 2 hr sitting from 12-2pm. There is still a good selection of hot and cold food but it is noticeable that the range has somewhat reduced compared to previous years. Eg only chirozo, turkey and beef at the Carvery station, with no roast lamb, duck or pork from previous years. Also only one kind of oyster (South Australia) instead of 2 kinds.
There is a plethora of decadent desserts as usual, and the waitstaff were all quite attentive to top up water glasses and clearing of plates.
Our preferred buffet restaurant over Atrium buffet any day
K. G.
Checked out this buffet restaurant inside the Crown plaza. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly staff and seated right away to our reserved table. Ambiance exudes warmth food was temptingly arranged. They have soup. Different choices of fresh and cooked salads with different dressing. Breads and cheese are aplenty. They have roast beef and lambs. Different kind of rice. Shrimps, oysters and crabs are also available. Desserts are definitely a must to try. Enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Friendly staff and service. Staff are quick to clear the tables. Definitely worth your money.
D.
Really delicious, fresh, well prepared and seasoned food! Service is awesome. Would recommend!
R. S.
Went for a friend's birthday. Fantastic array of foods. The desserts were superb and brilliantly presented (went back for seconds). A little bit noisy but good all the same.
R. B.
Xcellent with their cleaning from plates off tables to food presentation. Service is outstanding and staff wanted to be there which reflects on their employer. Smorgasbord choice was very good. Yummy sea food arrangements and desert's was very interesting. If you are there for a special accastion then they make a bit of a fuss over you
C. M.
A good selection of Asian and Western food at their lunch buffet. The choices of desserts are plentiful and mostly are bite-size which minimises the chance of over-indulgence. Ask for a window seat. The palm trees surrounding the mega size pool will make you feel like you’re on holidays in Bali!
A. C.
Great place to eat an all you like, all you can, all you want to eat dinner buffet. Went there for a special occasion. Great place to celebrate with your loved ones. Will go again. Spacious, clean place. Dress up if you care to make it a special fine dining experience. Elegant and classy ambience. Clean and lovely decor. Attentive service from waiting staff, as they wish away your plates after each round of food.
J. D.
Very nice food and experience. Would have loved to take my time bit had to get moving. Will hopefully get to visit again.
S. D.
Amazing all round, if you're hungry and feel like some excellent quality food and don't mind a slight higher price point that's worth it. Book in and experience the Epicurean. A++
B. U.
We came for the lunch buffet not only for father's day but also for nephews first birthday. We had to book a week or so out because it was quite busy.
They had quite a large selection of food and more than normal lunch like extra meats at the carvery (The prices were higher for the day as well though). There were three main areas, the salad and cold cuts, the hot dishes and the dessert island.
There were quite a lot of items at the entree area which were nice like the oysters and beef with truffle mayonnaise. There was also a large selection of cheeses and bread.
The hot food also had a lot of variety with a carvery, European, Indian and Chinese stations, each with their own unique foods. ! personally preferred the carvery with the succulent lamb and crispy pork.
The desserts were all interesting and tasty. There was a selection of single served desserts as well as larger portions in which people can serve themselves. I thought the most interesting part was the three chocolate fountain. Nephew also got a birthday cake.
Be aware that coffee and tea is not part of the meal and you get charged for it.
A really fancy place with good service, but it is quite pricey so more of a celebratory restaurant.
T. N.
Great food selections and choices. My wife and I love to go there for breakkie and Dinners. This place will knock off your hunger and leave your taste buds apprecaiting you. Great atmosphere and location. The best Buffet in Western Australia without a doubt!
S. R.
Great food. Good service. Great assortment of desert.
K. L.
I would give 5 stars if the foods were really nice. We have 15 people including 3 young children (18mths, 2 and 5 yr old) and we were given the private room. It was very comfortable. Service was good. The seafood n Japanese live section were good. The hot meals section were ok. The dessert section was also not too bad. The decor is very nice as it is an upmarket buffet restaurant. As our seaing was from 530pm to 730pm, we have to finished by the dot in a way. They need to clear, clean n get ready for next seating of diners.
Overall it is pretty although the price is a bit on the high side.
In summary there is nothing negative to feedback.
P. K.
This was my third time dining at Epicurean and it will most likely be my last.
On my first visit I thought it was excellent, second very good, my third visit tonight was for the dinner sitting for the first time.
The staff are excellent, the food is excellent as you’d expect from Crown chefs, the problem isn’t the food or the staff but the timings offered.
We had an 8pm seating time, upon arriving at 8 there was a huge queue to get in. By the time you are seated its 8.15pm, the waitress then informs us that service stops at 9.30. So we had just over an hour for our meal.
So really there is no time to sit and enjoy a meal, we ordered an expensive bottle of wine and had to leave half of it because unless you drink nice wine like it’s water you just won’t be able to enjoy it.
You’re having to rush through the meal, a quick entree, main and you’re halfway through dessert, the music stops and BAM the soft mood lighting is replaced with harsh full beam like you’re a deer stuck in headlights!
So now you’re left with two choices, enforce your squatters rights and park there until you’ve finished your meal and bottle of wine, or cut your losses and leave, we chose the second option.
Don’t get me wrong, no staff member came up to us and told us to hurry up and finish, but the whole experience changed right on 930pm.
When you’re paying premium prices ($300 for two), you don’t expect to be rushed through your meal, you’d get more time to savour your Big Mac and fries!
s. w.
I had a breakfast here. And they got wide range of choices from western continental breakfast, Chinese dim sum, grill steak, congee, curry , yoghurt and pastries... really lots of choices. And the food quality is quite good, it is above average. The best to have is the cappuccino, it is so foamy and got a nice smooth texture. I pretty enjoy the breakfast here.
C. S.
The food here is good. But, for the extra expense of Epicurean, I do wonder if it’s better than Atrium Buffet (also at Crown). The selection of food here is ok, but not much more than what you’d find at Atrium. The basics like the deserts are actually the same (I think). At the Atrium, tea and coffee are also complimentary- you have to pay extra at Epicurean! It’s also more noisy compared to the Atrium. Overall, the quality of the food is good, but the extra expense over the Atrium is hard to see or justify.
D.
Food was decent but as there are timed seating, you don't get your monies worth ($105) in1.5 hrs.
N. J.
Food, service, everything was wonderful for a family get together in the my birthday Our waitress was exceptionally friendly.
J.
Expensive during dinner, cheaper during lunch and breakfast but worth the trip even just once. Although, I really enjoy the breakfast selection, on weekends it's only for hotel guests however, you can go during weekdays. Try the green juice (breakfast only) it's addictive! The meat selection is great when freshly made especially the pork crackling. Desserts are always a hit and so perfect. I like the tiny desserts they have. They also have cold prawns and oysters and sometimes hot crab if you're a seafood fan.
J. K.
Good food and service, but for the price, could honestly do with a little more vegetarian options. Asian buffet had no vegetarian food except edame beans. Even the fried rice had pork. I'm not vegetarian, but don't eat red meat and often wonder if my vegetarian friends would ever get value for money at this buffet.
w. c.
Good variety of food. I especially love the oyster and deserts.
R. J. H. (.
Fresh oyster taste like milk and super tasty and love their sashimi salads. Cold foods is always awesome but hot foods is not my favourites. But love their wagyu steaks and ravioli is fabulous. Hope they can make better Asian food.
E. L.
This could be one of the best restaurant for a visitor or someone who wants an unforgettable buffet. The buffets are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
S. E.
Very comprehensive selection of good quality cold and hot foods, desert's are a little disappointing. Service is attentive without being overbearing.
Wine list is good, if not a little pricey.
Definitely recommend for that special occasion. Will be back.
t. 9.
This is my second time visiting this restaurant. I like to come to thismplace cause variety of food. From Japanese, Indian, Western, Chinese etc. All the food really good. I love the beef wagyu but the lamb a bit chewy. The yellow rice and fried noodle not bad. The tuna and salmon salad really fresh! And of course assorted of dessert from cake until ice cream. Kids welcome to this restaurant. So we can enjoy with pur family!
K. P.
Went here a while ago but it’s still the best buffet I’ve been to by far, and I live in NYC which is a buffet hotspot. Very boushie, you get what you pay for, on the expensive side for most but definitely worth it as the food quality/presentation/flavour profile/diversity is far superior than say Sizzlers and the like. Interior is classy, ambience is sophisticated, spacious, clean and professional staffs.
I’m a sweet tooth and the dessert buffet instantly made me feel like a child in Willy wonka’s factory, so many possibilities.......of course it was my first stop, I might have enjoyed a plate....or three :) what I really wanted to do was stick my head under the chocolate fountain, but that’s not lady-like and this place oozes classy haha XD
Four stars as I feel the seafood selections can be wider, it would be great to see some abalone and crays. Also it seems a bit much that drinks are charged separately......
Highly recommend treating yourself here, they do high tea sessions too (can’t wait to try one!)
T.
If you can eat and I mean can eat lots, I would recommend it. Not the cheapest $90 per adult for normal week night buffet around but plenty of selections including sashimi, seafood, Asian, salad bar, roast and abundance of desserts.
b.
Service was prompt and good. We did go during the school holidays when they had a 'decorate a doughnut' promo which makes it feels more like a family restaurant than a five star establishment.
We were greeted with a very courteous waiter who led us to our table. There is a wide range of cuisine. Our favourite being the seafood and the Japanese cuisine sections. The prawns and the raw oysters were very fresh. There were steamed crabs as well. But I was looking forward to the Singapore chili crabs which was not on offer this time we were there.
The range of Japanese nigri and sushi rolls could be better. Again sashimi was not on offer this sitting.
The hot food section served Chinese, Indian, Italian and carvery with a selection of wagyu beef and roast lamb. So there's plenty to choose from.
We made a mistake of not saving enough room for the wide range of dessert on offer - however there wasn't anything that quite stood out that we would have liked to have more of.
For the price of $58 for lunch it was well worth it. A good experience overall.
C. K.
My son and I went to the epicurean for high tea and we both loved the variety of sweet and savoury food. The service was great and the staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the drinks and the food, so fresh and delicious. Unfortunately my son couldn’t eat the lovely fresh cakes, mousses, puddings etc. The reason being is because he has a severe allergy to nuts. He was looking forward to having a nice desert but when he looked around he saw that pretty much everything contained nuts in some way, shape or form. We then asked the chef what didn’t have nuts in it and he said everything had nuts in it which surprised both of us. We don’t come here often and he didn’t get to eat desert, really disappointing for him. There really should a a nut free desert section which would help cater for people with allergies. Hopefully this issue is fixed.
F. G.
Amazing atmosphere. Nice, spacious layout. Definitely worth spending your money here at this buffet. Staff are constantly making sure your water is full, finished plates are cleared and even holding the door open when necessary. Food is excellent. Several food options available including desserts. Highly recommend, will not disappoint.
K. R.
Lovely restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. Keep in mind that you do have time limits for dining. 6pm meal finishes at 7.30...wear your stretchy pants!
D. B.
Was taken here as a birthday present. Food was fantastic with loads of variety and all at exceptional quality. Definitely recommended.
j. H.
Nice place beautiful setting. My wife love it here.. as for me food nice not a large range as atrium.
D. L.
Good food and selection, but there are too many people. Expect a 10 to 15 min wait to grab food from the counter. It is the experience that let's the place down.
S. G.
Good variety of food and decent tasting. Definitely need to get there when they do a changeover of food.
A. I.
Beautiful decor and specious setting. Food is multicultural and you can’t fail whichever you choose. I especially liked the sticky sweet chili chicken.
J. C.
Variety selection of delicate food. Enjoy the fresh Oyster and desserts and ice cream every time I visit .
J. W.
Absolutely brilliant, Amazing food, Amazing service and staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely Amazing place to dine.
M. W.
Oyster was great. We booked 8pm for dining but the queue was too long. Some dessert variety was repeated. Not a bad choice in Perth already but cannot compare it with hotel buffet in other countries.
C. A.
Good buffet food! Was crowded when we were there. Only 90 mins from seating to closure of buffet so had to be strategic with food. Otherwise we had a good time with the family. Thoroughly enjoyed the desserts!
K. B. P.
The food was decent quality unlike some places you go its full of preservatives. Heaps to choose from so I went for the items that I don't usually eat.
There is a large island in the center full of desserts including a chocolate fountain. You can definitely go crazy here.
One thing I also really enjoyed is the walk from the main Crown entrance to Epicurean with the pool view to the left and the large hall way entrance.
At the end of this hall way there is a bar to have pre drinks while you wait for your seating time.
J. D.
The Epicurian is a lovely restaurant and in a good spot. The staff were friendly and attentive.
I was expecting a gastronomical extravaganza for the buffet but it was quite disapointing.
I really have only 3 reasons for this, the cooked food whilst nice was not hot but rather warm which for me spoiled the taste.
The yorkshire pudding was more like a dry muffin and did not taste like yorkshire pudding.
Lastly the seafood and salad were quite disapointing, seafood consisted of small prawns, oysters and smoked salmon and small crab pieces. I didnt see anybody tackle the crab as it didnt look very tasty.
The salad consisted of bowels of already mixed salads from different countries.
I. L.
Great selection of cold meats and salad, my ever fussy dad was even impressed with the quality of the other dishes, and the oysters are the freshest the missus has eaten in wa 4/4 times. The one knock I would have is that the location is possibly the hardest to access.
K. J.
Wonderful service, huge selection of food, better value for money for lunch service than dinner.
P. O.
Imagine a buffet where pretty much every plate of food is top quality. The Indian food in particularly was cooked tp perfection. The service was the type at a high end restaurant, cleanliness was amazing. No faults here amd wish i'd come sooner. Great for couple's or even groups. Highly recommend :)
I. C.
4.5 stars Lunch- while I do wish they started seating the long queue of guests before the 12pm start time or allocated more staff to lead patrons to tables (it was past 12.15pm by the time we were seated with a 12pm reservation, and there were many more behind us), once you were in, the food presentation did not disappoint.
Especially notable are the sashimi wakame salad, selection of unique breads, prosciutto & chutneys, hot smoked salmon, roast leg of lamb, caramelised gravy, butter chicken curry, distinctly flavoured macarons, perfectly made chocolate bon bons and ice-creams (oh, and twice-cooked potato wedges!).
I wasn't as impressed by the Chinese/Asian selection (sweet sour fish wasn't flavourful enough for me, and I have tasted better BBQ pork buns out of the freezer) but hubby loved their satay chicken. Prawns were better cooked than the crab.
Orange chocolate pots was a nice luxury besides the usual dark and white to dip your strawberries in. Among the tempting desserts: the lemon meringue tart and lychee shortbread stood out, and that rack of beef glistening from the oven and cooked perfectly medium.... truffle mash needed more truffle flavour though, and assorted financiers and cakes were only okay. Plenty to keep the kids reveling in sweets with marshmallows, turkish delights, chocolate blades & assorted lollies.
Go with companions you can share with, as you will not want to waste more than one bite on each dish so you can focus on your favourites.
All in all, very satisfying, and they accommodated us with a toddler and baby in an appropriate corner as requested.
Also, often overlooked but not at Epicurean, plates were cleared very promptly and a separate bowl for shells provided.
If you want a more relaxed, uncrowded and luxurious-feeling buffet experience akin to a high tea, choose Epicurean lunch over Atrium. For sheer variety at a friendlier budget, go with the latter.
Accessibility-wise, this is double the distance from the free carpark - so best to drop off your party at Crown Towers entrance to queue up first.
D. P.
Great variety of food enticingly set out food for everyone's palette however the vegetables I selected were not as hot as one would expect. The range of foods seafood, coldcuts salad, some Asian foods , roast meats soups and the selection of desserts and cheeses outstanding. Fresh fruits even bowls of lollies.
K. J.
My 2nd visit here and i must say I LOVE IT!
By far the best buffet in Perth!
The hot food selections are fantastic, we were spoiled with a huge variety of chinese, indian, western cuisines. The carvery section had lamb, pork and beef. They offered a wide selection of options for vegetarians as well, which was very considerate.
The desserts were amazing!
Loved the different types of flavours it came in and the presentation of the desserts were impressive!
OH! Chocolate lovers, watch out for the endless chocolate fountain!
Overall experience was memorable and staff are friendly to help with any issues.
T. L.
I went for high tea and it was incredible. The food was amazing and done as a buffet style. I loved it. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
R. S.
A large variety of good quality food
Nice atmosphere and good service
And the dessert...too much!
Z.
The buffet had a sumptuous variety from cheese and breads to indian cuisines to roasted delights and, of course, the cakes and pies. The waiting staffs and very efficient and friendly with your used plates cleared promptly. Tap water was also served and refilled without prompting. I especially like the two types of oyster that fulfilled my seafood needs.
L. I.
Potentially the best restaurant I have visited in Perth among all the buffets. Epicurean not only pushes the standard for a buffet but it is also a new benchmark of design and dining experience in perth. From the comfy chairs to a magnificent dining room and jaw-droppign ways that foods are placed, the entire experience is so memorable that made us coming back multiple times. Surprisingly the food quality is top-notch too, we specially enjoyed Duck, truffled mashed potato and selection of cheese and breads.
A. A.
Delicious buffet breakfast as part of our Crown Towers stay. The buffet covered everything including continental, English (black pudding even!), Indian, Chinese and more. Everything was fresh and delicious, and beautifully laid out.
B. E. P.
Nice range but was disappointed by patrons overall lack of hygiene, double handling food etc and were not pulled up by the serving staff staring right at them. Be nice if they could, as a condition of entry, have people abide by some basic common-sense hygiene/buffet etiquette.
G. S.
This is the best buffet in Perth without a doubt. All the food is superb and I tried just about everything. Incredible range and quality of desserts. Excellent service also. Quite unlike most Perth experiences. If you're thinking of a Miss Maud buffet then this blows that out of the water. It is expensive but the value is actually there.
R. D.
What an awesome place to visit. Certainly changes everything you ever thought about buffet's. The width and breath of the selection is truly awesome and all which is of the highest quality as well a spectacular decour and extremely comfortable seating which is needed in this instance.
V. T.
Foods are tasty and great service
But an hour and 45 mins not long enough to enjoy the foods especially when you need to queue up for the food in the busy dinner time
d.
Long lines for food means that 2 hour time lunch limit is absurd. If spending 15-20 mins in a queue each time to get a plate of food you are completely rushed and cannot.experience or consider the food on offer.
It felt completely rushed and unenjoyable because you are more worried about the time.and if yoiu will be able.to.get the next plate of.food or.if you should skip another serving and move to.dessert.
I dont want to.hear about you how you have to prepare for dinner. If you cannot do.it properly dont do.it at all consideering the price you are charging.
You need to.work out a system where people can go to different sections based on what foods they want.
If i.wanted indian last niggt i couldnt go straight to the indian section. I had to join the queue and start at the very beginning where rhe lamb was. If you went straight to indian section at end you woild be accused of pushing in..
The only seperate section is the dessert and cold seafood (which is not even as good as good a selection as before even)
Basically you have created a lovely restaurant with a terrible atmosphere where so much time is wasted queuing and clock watching.
You have 3 hours for dinner which is.better but still i.would.not.recommend the restaurant sitting to anyone. Even the 3 hours because of all the time spent queuing ruins the whole ppint of having a meal.with your partner. You spend more time.talking in the queue then at the table together.
I.went.to.the atrium.before and never experienced.these.queuing.problems. the epicurean seems to be set up.this way purposefully to limit the amount of food people.can.eat but it.completely ruins the experience.
The waitress was amazing, friendly, prompt. That was the only.high point of.the lunch sitting.
A. S.
great atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food! well done, recommend!
J. G.
Great buffet with a wide variety of food! So so much better than Atrium. Loved the selection of main dishes and all the different types of breads and cheeses were great. Apparently there are more food choices at night but lunch time was also great, especially because night time gets booked out easily. Be sure to book a few days if not more in advance as Fridays and Saturdays are fast booked out
S. B.
very helpful staff. girl at the front was very understanding as i needed to pay using few rewards cards and she did it with a smile. food was fresh and amazing.

Excellent, service and food 1st class!.I will go back, thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Lovely food, staff wonderful, chef came out to tell us options for food sensitivities. A big Congratulations to all of your staff 🙏💕

Vijay with the grey jacket at the entrance. Rude. Rude. Rude. I asked about any free tables, after probing us about a reservation which we didn't have, he spoke to one of the waitresses in a language other then English and dismissively gave us a table after what seemed an almighty ask. Bear in mind the 'fully booked' restaurant was 50% capacity.
The table service was good.
The seafood was very good.
The other food was ok.
Indian curry laden with salt.
Desserts were ok chocolate tastes cheap
Overall an exceptionally overpriced buffet
R. M.
Pretty good buffet. Good selection of dishes, and best part was the Sweets!
L. T.
Wonderful buffet. Will cater for both European and Asian taste. The foundue is amazing. The service is superb. Highly recommended.
N. V.
Great food, service very attentive. If you can't find something pleasant to eat here then 😒😒😒😒

epic...indeed a delight...all colours and senses revealed...aromatic...multicultural cuisine...extremely clean sparkly venue
M. T.
Amazing! Service, selection ,atmosphere and quality of the food and surroundings are top.notch. well worth the cost.
G. R.
My first time here for breakfast menu, good big selection. Come and try for yourself, I liked it
J. M.
Amazing buffet - with great coffee!
Exceptional level of customer service too, the staff are so attentive, they are all smiling and making sure your table is cleared as you finish your plates and drinks. Well done team Crown!
S. Z.
Fine dine in buffet restaurant in Perth to enjoy good variety of desserts and food. Service is good and environment is relaxed.
A. L.
Great place for dinner awsome selection of hot, cold and seafood love the desert as well service was professional .
R. B.
This is the best buffet meals in Perth, but at around $100/head you would expect it to be! We were in a group of 15 and had no trouble getting service for the plethora of used plates to be cleaned away. There are two sittings one 5-7 and 8-10 they are pretty hot on the times and light go up at 10:00. The food is in abundance and wide and varied with just about everything you could want apart from rock lobster! There are queues but they move quickly and everyone gets what they are looking for.
So if your looking for a meal which is a little different and you’re on a schedule, then look no further. If you want to keep drinks separate you must order at the bar and they then deliver them to you. If not then it’s table service like a standard restaurant. Payment was easy on completion but there is not bill splitting, so watch that.
I recommend getting there a little before the booking time to maximize the dinning experience.
It is a bit of a walk from the old complex so take that into account.
K. S.
Great place for a date. Food is delicious and well presented. All you can eat. Need I say more?
H. F.
I came here for every special occasion. First time was amazing, but after some time. I get bored because they got the same selections. But the all the food are great. Love the oysters
T. W.
Food was good . Bit of a line the Sunday night we went . Staff were good but drinks took a while to appear .

I've reviewed buffets across the world, and I'm glad that Crown's 'Epicurean' is what pushed me into the top 10% of buffet critics internationally.
I'm putting this on my resumè! 😂
The Dark Horse of the evening simply had to be the Lamb dressed in emerald mint sauce, which produced such a complementary sweet and savoury synthesis that this philosopher was reacquainted with Truth. I sincerely recommend this as the premium buffet experience of Perth.
I. L.

Great buffet, plenty of food variety to suit most tastes, staff very professional and friendly.

Very crowded but good food. Highlite for me were the oysters with finger lime dressing.

Very well thought out menu they have something for everyone to enjoy. Definitely a must try! 5 stars!!

Went for dinner on the weekend, which seems to have a few more options, but also comes at a higher price of $98. Definitely won't get your money's worth unless you're a big fan of seafood.
The meats and other cuisine aren't bad, a little dry on some, and very salty. Had to chunk down bottles of water afterwards.
Large range of tasty desserts, just wish there were more exotic fruits than simple watermelon, oranges and grapes though. Overall not a bad experience but probably just a once off sort of thing, or at least once in a while.
D. D.
A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me, so my wife and I went to have lunch to try it.
The restaurant is a buffet style, the selection of food is excellent, most tastes are catered for, the sweets are petite but are numerous.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the price, at around $65 dollars each (this didn’t include drinks) it’s quite high.
Overall very enjoyable, the staff are attentive and friendly.
I recommend for special occasions unless money is no object.
I also advise you to book in advance as it tends to book out fast, especially on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Fantastic breakfast. There was a big queue to get in when we left, so you probably have to wait a bit for a table if you like to sleep in
T. M.
Exquisite food that has you going back for more and more. 10/10
Well priced too $80/pp on weekdays and a but more on weekends
y. n.
Great ambiance, buffet style with wide selection of choices. Friendly staff and comfortable seats.
A. V.
Nice selection of foods. The staff were very vague when asking for allergies in the food (or they didn't know).
M. T.
Great Service, amazing food (the oysters and smoked salmon were my favourites). They offer everything antipasto, prawns, crabs, smoked salmon, oysters, breads and dips the the hot food - roast lamb, Turkey with sauces, ravioli, meatballs, potato wedges, the curries and an Asian section with noodles stay chicken. Then on to Dessert - so many options and nice portions so you can try everything. Definitely worth checking out.
M. N. D. A.
Nice food , Im come with my husband for dinner wedding anniversary. I love all the food in here🥰
K. D.
Amazing food and service! Booked for 6 at 6:15pm on a Sunday. We decided to go a little early and they let us in at 6pm and said we just needed to leave by 8pm which was fine. Food had a great selection although some of the meat was tough. Dessert was a winner, the sorbet and ice cream was delicious. There was always some to refill water and take plates away. It was someone’s birthday in my group and we were surprised by a cake with happy birthday written on it!! Only fault is that it is quite pricey, but if you look past the price it was an amazing experience:)
F.
This is very good, and love their selection of food .
Definietly come back again
E. S.
Loved the great variety of food and the superb friendly staff. Great layout and great service
e. p.
The 1.5 hr sitting is not long enough, we felt as though we were being pushed out by staff and as a result had to rush our meal, not what you expect for $98 a head. We were only made aware of this 30 mins before buffet closed.
The entree and western food was good. The Indian and Asian was disappointing and needs improving. The Desert buffet looks impressive but upon tasting most of the deserts lacked in taste and there were too many lollies!
A. D.
I highly recommend Epicurean to everyone. Everything about this place is great. The ambience is gorgeous- food quality is sensational for a buffet.
It’s always a fun experience every time I go.
R. M.
Awesome staff and the food is great.
H. T.
Fantastic selection of food fresh and replenished constantly. Can't wait to go back
T. N.
This place is absolutely fantastic!!! Everything was cooked perfectly and there were so many options! Definitely the best all you can eat buffet in Perth, hands down!
Plates were cleaned away and water refilled as soon as it was empty!
Quite expensive but definitely be going back!
E. P.
It's better than the atrium but when you compare to same style in Melbourne or Sydney it doesn't come close (4 seasons or Shangri la). Service was good and they brought out a cake and sparkeling to celebrate my birthday. Long queues to get to the food and just average quality of food.
C. V. E.
This place is wonderful. Food is outstanding, great size and taste. Lovely dining area
D. H.
Food was amazing, lots of variety, staff were great. Only reason we give it 4 stars is the cost.. $120pp for dinner
s. b.
Food is great , a little pricey but overall not bad , week day bookings only gives you 1.5 hour sittings so eat up
j. l.
Amazing place to have high tea baby shower greeted with drinks followed by all you can eat high tea.
E. E.
Everything was amazing, the venue is spectacular, we were really amazed with the interior and the set up if the banquets, there was so much to choose from. My partner and I went there for our anniversary and we were so happy with our whole experience. We received some of the best service we ever experienced in Australia from our lovely waitress Eloise, she really made our night special, she deserves all the credit for making this night sonething to remember. The food was delicious and also very good value for what you are getting, would definately recommend.
G. F.
Reasonable choice although nothing compared with other international hotels. Price is high and doesn't warrant it given the experience.
D. D.
We were so looking forward in going to the Epicurean for first time for dinner, The decor looks lovely but definitely not worth what we paid for, we went in the second sitting 8pm for our staff dinner. Service very slow, at 9.19pm we had 1 of there staff member come and tell us that the buffet was closing we were still having dinner we hadn't even got to sweets yet, and next they bought over our bill very disappointed the room was still half full. Will not be going there again and after our guests experienced that they did said they will not be going back. Atrium has a lot more to offer service is so much better
v. l.
Quality food, always consistent, great service.
It's pricey but worth it.
P. G.
Excellent food quality with an extensive variety at reasonable buffet lunch prices on weekdays.
P. V.
Good selection of salads, hot foods and meats. Not a lot of vegetables on offer but still a lot of great food for everyone to choose from. A free coffee or tea station would be a welcome addition as the individual orders were slow and at additional cost.
A. K.
Today we celebrated my husband's birthday at our favourite restaurant the Epicurean. As usual the quality and variety of food was exceptional, especially the seafood. We must make special mention to the lovely manager Jadey, Genea, Chin and Pawan for their outstanding customer service and professionalism. Thank you Epicurean for another memorable experience!
Regards
Andy

We came for the first day for a weekday lunch buffet. In short, the food was delicious and excellent service. The seafood were fresh, the hot meal (most of them) pack full of flavour. The Wait people quickly clears your plate and provide bowls when they see you have seafood platter. Now that is attentive. Can't wait to try it again.
A. L.
Nice environment. Roast is good.
Limited choices of Indian n Chinese food.
The salmon was fresh but the crab tasted like cotton. prawn was very basic not even tiger prawn. Limited dessert or icecream. Not what you expect from $98 buffet or 5+star hotel. Poor value for money.
L. S.
Loved the virgin mojito and the food was pretty good. Loved the mash :)
S. G.
Although the price is expensive, close to $100 per person, there are a lot of positives.
If you are a fan of oysters, you will love the place. Also has great cocktails.
The biggest letdown for me is the dessert menu. Unfortunately very basic and seems to be lower quality.
D. B.
The service was fast, polite, and attentive. The food selection was really good, especially as a vegetarian, I was really happy with the food. Dishes were not obviously vegetarian, halal or vegan friendly, so you may have to ask if you have specific dietary requirements.
The dessert was amazing too, great selection.
The buffet lines can be confusing and slow, and could be clearer in the dessert section in particular.
Expensive, but worth it
D.
The butter chicken wasnt the best as it tasted bland however the peeking duck with pancakes and sauce was the best ive ever had.
S. M.
We had a wonderful meal, we got our monies worth. They were unstinting with the seafood, plenty of oysters, prawns and crab. I forgot the cheese board at the end so annoyed. I made up for it with deserts.
I was less pleased with the hot food, it was ok but I found it a bit confusing there were potato wedges but I was looking for some other potato dishes. Didn't try the Indian and the black bean beef was too salty.
The decor was surperb. We just got hurried up to leave as I finish this review. Recommended
G. B.
Epicurean ticks all the boxes.
Superb and succulent cuisines from around the world, stunning buffet presentation, classy warm decor and ambiance and to top it all up...excellent service!
A beautiful sensory experience that will definitely please the "Epicurean" in you!
Highly recommended.
T. B.
Staff are super wonderful. Chef made a special vegan meal for us as buffet didn't wholly cater for this and delivered this and dessert to our table. Food selection was good and loved the truffle potato mash. Spoilt for choice in the dessert section. Great place to end your day.
A. M.
Best buffet in town I've had. But bit pricey
P. C.
Absolutely brilliant. Worth every cent. Will definitely be going back ♥️
M. W.
Food is great and worthy of the set price for the Smorgasbord.
Ideal for birthdays and special occasions.
Z. B.
Loved it. Attentive staff and buffet food was fresh and tasty. Maybe couple mains were not to my taste, but overall lovely lunch.

Very nice food, and not completely outrageous pricing if you eat a lot haha. Just don't have a big lunch before... would like to go back.

The best buffet in Perth! Seckill Laputa and Atrium, extremely fresh oyster, thick cut salmon sashimi.

We came here on the 5th Dec for dinner and the service was amazing. We needed food to cater for allergies and the head chef went out of his way to show us all the choices and even prepared a special main and dessert catering for the allergies. Heartfelt thank you to the head chef for all the help and delicious food!
N. V.
Poorly set out seafood section, when getting seafood u must go back to the start and cut in the middle of the line to get your dipping sauces.
Service was slow and when drinks were ordered two drinks were forgotten and more then a half hour wait for the other drinks to arrive.
Food was fairly good but not what I'd expect for the price.
As a chef id expect more
M. B.
Great food.
However, first they were going to charge us for every family member after they told us children 4 years and under eat free, and one of our children was 4 years old.
After eating there the food was great, so was the atmosphere, however, they overcharged for both my wife and my meal. They also overcharged for my children's meal.
I went back and pointed out the error. They agreed to refund the $40 overcharge.
All good.
However, later the next day upon checkout we found that we were charged on our bill at the checkout desk room service from the Epicurean. We found out after trying for some time to get them to refund that money to us that someone with a completely different name and signature to us charged their meal to our room.
We managed to get refunded in the end but there was no sincere apology, and it was the second time during our overnight stay that we were wrongly charged.

So much to choose from at breakfast yum!!!

The food in the Epicurean is so legendary. Hands down, one of the best buffets that you can go to here in Perth. From the Cold Section to the Hot Section, all of the food is really good and I would recommend everyone to have a go at it!
P. M.
The food is the same as most hotels in Perth a little more expensive. Sorry I was not expressed
D. N.
Went for lunch. I love the look of the place. Enjoyed the food, the rice from the sushi is done poorly that needs a large improvement. When the line gets busy one of the staff were telling us we could go from the other side which we did but it was going against the crowd and we got some dirty looks from people who thought we were pushing in line.
E. H.
The food was very average. I only liked the desserts. Less variety compare to Atrium.
N. D.
Much nicer feel and food than the Atrium. Quality if the food is amazing and the service staff are so friendly and helpful. Love it.
R. W.
Great place but the food is so over rated!
B. U.
Amazing food and not overpriced, I love this restaurant.

Good variety of food. A bit on the pricey side of an all-you-can-eat, but well worth it if you have a giant appetite or need to cater for fussy eaters for a special occasion.

Holy Guacamole, The Epicurean was incredible. I could go here time and time again, every single food was cooked to perfection. Such a variety of dishes to choose from, I wish I could have eaten more! Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Excellent customer service.
Great selection of food and presentation of buffet excellent.
However l am disappointed with the restaurant reservations misleading information, claiming no time limit. This is my 18th wedding anniversary and l was not impressed being rushed at my meal.
D. R.
Tried the lunch buffet but didn't live up to expectations. Desserts were not as fresh as would be expected of a high class establishment. Food selection was good though lacked depth. Kids under 4 eat free. The Cafe at the Hyatt still the best high end buffet for me.
s. a.
Very nice ambience and the best food and desserts 🍨 in the world
A. J.
Great variety of food and fresh.
good amenities, great surroundings.
I. K.
Great quality of food, especially the seafood, oysters, prawns and sashimi. If you love sweets there are so many little cakes. A reminder to those who go keep, to keep in mind social distancing, there are stickers on the floor. Have a little patience for the elderly and those with children .

We booked the buffet lunch for our family Christmas,$80pp food, drinks additional. The restaurant is located in the new Crown restaurant so as you'd expect the decor is fresh and opulent with comfy chairs and very spacious.
The buffet was comprehensive with moist cuisines covered - middle eastern, Asian, fresh seafood, traditional roast meats, lots of salads, a cheese and charcuterie selection and a huge dessert buffet.
The food was all fresh and high quality.
The service was a bit of a let down. I feel they were understaffed as plates weren't cleared away very often and we had to flag someone down whenever we wanted more drinks or even water.
We ended up moving stacks of dirty dishes to the service stations to clear room.
We ordered a bottle of champagne ($150 was the cheapest on the menu) and had to ask 3 times to get some ice in the bucket they gave us.
We arrived at 12pm on the dot but felt that the strict 2 hour lunch window was too short to be able to relax and enjoy lunch properly. I'm sure the people who didn't arrive smack on time felt very rushed.
The service and the small window for eating really let this experience down. My score is 3.5 which Google doesn't facilitate. Better service would have easily given this review a 4
M. B.
Loved the people, wonderful service, beautiful food. Very clean. The drink came fast, as we sat down they asked for our drink order then and if we would like to have a glass of water. Tap or spring water. The tap water was nice and refreshing... Will be going back.
A. M.
The Epicurean was a great buffet but still a buffet...
The dinning experience was rather good with good spacing between tables and fast and friendly wait staff. Never waiting too long for another drink.
The hot food selection was good but definitely tell it was a buffet service with quantity over quality.
The cold selection was just as good but with the sashimi it tasted freezer fresh, wouldn't recommend that.
Now when it comes to desserts they went all out and are lots to choose from if you have a sweet tooth this may be worth the price just for endless chocolate fountain.
Ok I have to mention the music in the background. I know it's just background music but the constant 4 bars repeating over and over again drove me nuts... It's like they bought the best of elevator music Vol. 7 and were only allowed to play the first 4 bars of each track..
All in all I would definitely go again, for the right reasons. But bare in mind it's a buffet you are not going to be blown away with taste sensations to wow you but will be plenty satisfied with the quality on offer.

Great food. Really big range. 😋
C. T.
Good food. Good dessert. Great spot.
M. S.
very good range of dishes to suit many palette. drinks are not very well priced but ok. you can fresh your plate at your wish with many treats on the menu. expensive meal but good atmosphere and service. will go again.

10/10 Would recommend. I've been here for breakfast and for dinner service and both did not disappoint. The food is a lot fresher than expected for a buffet. Weekends are pricier but well worth it. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was great also. I left my credit card behind by accident when I left my table and they picked it up straight away and kept it for me with my table number attached so I was able to retrieve it. Can't wait to come back.
L. H.
We had breakfast here for both days on our 2 nights stay at the Crown Towers. The food is so damn delish & plenty of vegetarian options. The service is on point , very friendly & professional. After having breakfast there you won’t be needing lunch haha so many healthy options too.
J. H.
Yeah it's a nice buffet restaurant but foe the price you pay i would have thought more variety of foods biggest range would be the desert section which isn't a bad thing but , dinner wise, not a lot to choose from

My Favourite Buffet in Perth. For the extra $10 or so more than the Atrium, this place is way way nicer and better. Friends and I are usually the last to leave.
Update 2021/7
Still best place for premium buffet
N.
Great food, great atmosphere from previous times, however poor customer service, discretion over a booking and they cancelled my table but made no effort to accommodate us.

Awesome food an staff top of the ladder🍽💯👨🍳👩🍳🏅🥇

Very good, staff awesome, food awesome great place to eat .Will be back, just be prepared to wait in line but worth it.
F. L. H.
This place was great! Friendly service and very clean! Lots of options. Will go back for sure!
d.
I’ve eaten here a few times. This time was the best for food. They have put extra items back on the menu for Christmas, which really made it rise up, these extras should be made permanent. I’m mainly there for the oysters and it didn’t disappoint they were gold.
Last time it really lacked and was no better than the atrium buffet.
Downside was the server who would empty the plates and scrap bowl before you have finished and only came around with water just once.
I rate this buffet 5 stars, if you can’t be pleased from the variety there, then there is something wrong with you.
T. B.
For the price, it is still just buffet food. Food is ok but not amazing. You really only get your monies worth if you like seafood. Desserts let me down, very bland and gelatinous.
a. M.
Some of the best food I have ever had. Service was amazing from start to finish and naturally the views were great. Price was well worth it for a 3 course meal with food of that standard and the drinks were a generous size and definitely better value than anywhere that we would normally go. Went on a Thursday night so it wasn't overly busy and it had a nice quiet and cozy atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will definitely go again.
w. w.
Very expensive for what it is but so is everthing at Crown. Not as good as I thought it was the first time I went there years ago.
C. A.
Our lunch experience here yesterday was out of this world! Everything was perfect, except, the service from our waiter who we only saw when we were seated and never again. We had to seek assistance and beverages from "neighbouring" waiters. If not for that it would have been a well deserved 5 stars as I cannot fault anything else. Other than that our dining experience, as well as the food, was exceptional!
C. L.
Our breakfast here was incredible. It wasn't the greatest place to take 2 fidgety kids but that's not the restaurants fault, and we managed anyway as the kids enjoyed their breakfast too. We also ordered coffees which were perfect. I especially enjoyed the freshly made omlettes and roasted tomatoes. There's a huge selection as well as a chocolate fountain
T. C.
Amazing range & quality of food. Friendly & profesional staff. The best buffet I've ever been to. Will definitely be back.
The only negative of the evening was getting a little lost in the maze trying to find the place. The interior design is breathtaking but some more signage would be very helpful.
M. F.
Probably the best buffet I've been too 👌
S. T.
Attentive service. Wonderful selection of foods. Roll me out of here
T. M.
Just been for a wonderful lunch here for my birthday. We didn't tell the restaurant that it was my birthday however they must have overheard our conversation because our wonderful waitress Linh bought us over a birthday cake slice with a candle. A lovely finishing touch to a superb lunch. Iv eaten some wonderful food and I think I will now need to be rolled back to my car.
Will definitely visit again.
100% recommended this place.
Staff are well presented and well informed. Attentive but not overbearing.
And special thanks to Linh.
A. T.
Awesome lunch.. venue is amazing
M. L.
Throughly impressed when the chefs walked me around to look at the vast range of GF options.
P. P.
Went there for 1st time and for a Birthday occasion. Was happy to note the nice ambience and display of varieties of food. I was particularly pleased with the staff service, introduced themselves, explained the layout of the restaurant, cleared plates quickly, gave additional bowls to keep the empty shells, .......and most importantly asked if there was a special occasion we were there.......and yes, they gave a slice of cake to help us celebrate the occasion......fantastic! Well done Keisha!!
S. M.
Visiting Perth and decided to book and try the much talked about Epicurean @ Crown for Mother’s Day. There was a good variety of food, good service and good wine. With exception of the concierge who was fabulous, the experience was good to try, but for the price, I expected a higher calibre than the Atrium.
The cold seafood was the highlight for me, tasted super fresh (oysters, prawns, calamari & sashimi). Most of the hot food our table sampled was good however the spicy crab legs were extremely over-cooked on the night. Good to try for the experience, but would go elsewhere next time.
Tip: get dropped off at the Crown Towers if you go as this is closest point, particularly important if visiting with people who find it challenging to walk more than a short distance.
D. B.
You feel a million dollars when you enter this place. It looks fantastic. But I still can't justify the full price they charge. I expected more.
Heavy seats, that are difficult to move, cold food and smaller range. I'd rather save my money and go to the Atrium. Having said that, It is definitely worth experiencing once.
One thing that surprised me, is that the plates were not heated! Even Carvers has that!
Desserts looked better than they tasted.
C. W.
What a wonderful breakfast here. Like most things in Crown Towers it may seem pricey, but as they say, you get what you pay for. It is buffet style in quantity but gourmet in quality, and like most buffet style restaurants the earlier you arrive the fresher the food, not to take away from the food in itself though, my suggestion would be to make a booking for when the services start to get the best experience.
S. W.
Atmosphere was a little packed but not sardine like. Food selection was moderate but had some very tasty items. Chicken was a bit dry (as it usually is with buffet types) and the wagyu beef more chewy than ideal, it the ravioli with truffle sauce was spot on and the pepper crab made it worth it. Good selection of desserts however the brownies were a tad floury and dry. Overall worth it as I could not walk properly without unbuttoning my belt after :)
S. J.
Went there on a special occasion. Usually very busy however the provided array of food are exceptional. They have almost everything that you can think of to eat. The dessert sections are brilliant. The staffs are very friendly and very attentive to details. 100% happy and made my day. WILL BE VISITING AGAIN SOON GUYS.
F. M.
I always epicurean at crown towers it's my favourite restaurant - the foods is is superb. I love all variety rice, the roast, seafood especially the seafood salad and of course cakes. I recomend epicurean is the besy in WA
A. T.
it's a bit pricey, but the food is so worth it. Their dinner is beyond amazing, as well as the staff. Such a good variety and would go there everyday if I could
M. H.
Great food, service and very clean.
C. S.
Make sure you go hungry as there a huge choice. Don't be surprised if you leave there with a super full tummy.
H. A.
Great food, great service, and a great ambience.
A. S.
Nothing fantastic. The cold section is definitely the better side. The hot section has Indian and Chinese cuisines that can be outdone by places less than $12 a plate.
C. F.
Food was generally good. Seafood was great! The cheese platter and salami had a bit to be desired. We went on a cheaper ($75) evening. Price goes up for the weekends(95). Huge variety. Bookings need to be made well in advance.
Staff were a bit slow with drinks but they cleared the tables regularly so there wasn’t a pile up of dishes.
L. B.
Expensive but a unique experience for so much dining variety under one roof.
T. L.
Went there June 25th for an anniversary it was amazing dinner the server was exceptional she was on point the whole time and made us feel well looked after
We were given a complimentary celebration cake to celebrate our anniversary
The range was great so much different kinds. I’m Allergic to seafood but they had so much selection I didn’t feel left out I was very full by the time we finished
I will definitely be back next celebration. It was value for money the place was clean and wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the restaurant itself
D. M.
Have visited a few times, never disappointed. Great selection of food. The high tea on Sundays is exceptional.
J. B.
Service was good, atmosphere was good, music was debatable, and thr food was subpar. Was it worth the money paid? No, not a chance. Its better to find other buffets out there.
K. F.
Fantastic service. Beautiful food. Very efficient staff. Loved our lunch experience here and strongly recommend to everyone
M. W.
Amazing choice of beautiful food. Lovely atmosphere and good service.
Y. G.
Great atmosphere and decent range of food. Ours was a lunch sitting and were given about 2 hours to dine. Seafood was fresh and a decent range. Two types of oysters which was a pleasant surprise. A big let down was they don't have Sashimi on it's own. What they do have is Sashimi pieces with big chunks of rice stuffed in between. I assume the idea is to fill up guests with rice.
All drinks are extra charge, expect bar prices for every but tape water.
Staff were prompt and helpful. Very efficient service in cleaning up used plates, which there are a lot of since buffet. Dessert range very impressive, cake was extra delicious.
Wouldn't call it the best value buffet but definitely worth a trip for the quality of food.
C. S.
This is not so much a review, more an apology. So my lovely Girlfriend took me there on my birthday. Now I like oysters, like really like oysters, so much so that I ate nearly 70 of them.
I understand corporations have bottom lines and profits they need to achieve, however I just couldn't help myself. So please accept my apologies if you failed to break even that night due to an oyster output anomaly. According to the GF, the other food was fantastic too.
5 stars because they didn't tell me "We think you've had enough sir".
T. T.
The seafood was very fresh and the oysters were especially fat and tastey. My sons enjoyed the variety of Asian, Indian and western cuisine in the hot section.
B. F.
Fortunately my family and friends are avid seafood eaters and they enjoyed everything Epicurean had to offer: oysters, prawns, mud crabs, sushi just to name a few. I did however enjoy all the meat they had at the carvery station! I loved the crispy pork belly and the roasted wagyu beef. Their chocolate fountain and fun desserts were to die for! There's a choice for every person.
A. T.
Went there for company Christmas lunch, beautiful venue for really delicious buffet, be prepared to be tempted by the desserts and cocktails 😋
A. F.
Undoubtedly the best buffet in Perth. Beautifully presented and delicious food that is refreshed regularly. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Value for money depends on your appetite....we generally have to be happily rolled out! :)
D. M. K.
Good food
Even better service in a busy restaurant
Well done
J. M.
Been several times and as always have an amazing time
B. C.
Shared Christmas dinner at restaurant, and a little disappointed. The crayfish tails were very dry from being thawed out. The oysters weren't the best they have served and we could not find the Moreton Bay bugs that were advertised in the menu. For $199 p/person food plus extra for drinks, as well as a tip being added automatically to our bill when we went to pay- we were dissatisfied - had we known the tip was going to be added to our bill - we would not have left $20 on our table for the waitress. Been there several times before but this was a 'letdown'.
A. G.
We went to the breakfast at the Epicurean on a Wednesday morning. Lovely ambience and friendly staff. A huge range of food from juices, fresh fruits, bacon and eggs, curries, cold cuts, fish, pastries, etc and etc, so many choices. The Supervisor, Federico, was amazing, buzzing around, waiting on everyone, with a welcoming, helpful manner and a friendly smile. The only downside was when I asked for another knife and fork the wait lady just pointed and said "over there". Otherwise, it was well worth the visit.
S. F.
The internal design of this restaurant is astonishingly beautiful. Upon opening for a large family dinner at 8pm waiters guided each and every customer to their specific tables. Chairs were large but comfortable reflecting a throne for each customer. It was absolutely amazing to see the various range of foods that you could have. With a bar inside the restaurant that can serve you drinks, and the option of coffee my entire family were more than satisfied when it came to beverages. They had amazing range of food from the hot buffet, through to the cold section. The desert range was once again magnificent. With a chocolate fountain that you help yourself to how could you complain. Water on our table was kept full the entire night without question and the employees were always around to help with any requirements. Plates were cleared so efficiently that you could go up and grab a whole new plate of food and by the time you get back to your seat it would be clear ready for you. My only concern was with cutlery, as when they cleared the plate the cutlery was taken too leaving us without a means to eat the food. All in all exceptional standard of dining. The price is unreasonable but as a treat I believe its ok. Thank you to the dinner team it was excellent, I will be back many times in the future.
D. (.
The place is very nice and staff friendly. The selection also looks amazing. However when it comes to eating, there lacks quality in freshness and taste. The highlight was probably the pumpkin soup and udon noodles. The deserts were particularly disappointing.
k. m.
Love this restaurant and the diversity and visited many times without issue.
Tonight, my son had a fractured femur and we let them know in advance and the manager was helpful. Advising to arrive 5 mins early so we could get table near the food and avoid the rush. Great consideration and customer service. Arriving back at the specified time met with a lady who was short tempered and who was abrupt and was giving me the yes but actually wasn’t listening or concentrating.
When the table was ready they gave us the wrong table to the one the manager had arranged specifically for the family and my son. At this point we didn’t know and asked politely for an extra setting. The manager who we seen earlier seen us and said to her staff why have you put them on this table as this other table was set up for them! Anyway all sorted no issues our end.
But overall tonight found a number of the female staff miserable and hard work when asking for a few items. It was like, it’s over that direction rather than let me get that for you and if you need any more they are here. Sorry to say this but it seemed to be certain nationalities that had the way about them.
Lastly, the food has always been on point but the duck for the first time ever was terrible and over cooked and boney and fatty! Four of us had the same view and a little disappointing for a five star hotel and restaurant and $500 for 5 people just on food.
Thanks and hope this feedback is taken on board and the staff are addressed as this was significantly different and poor. So bad my own son even noticed as well.
Thanks M & K
B. F.
Great service our waitress was great friendly and looked after us lots of choices from the buffet but was not as good last time i was there
J. W.
Had dinner buffet on a Thursday night. The restaurant weren’t very pack which is good. Food wise, good selection but can improve on the dessert section. Overall not a bad experience. Will definitely come again on special occasions because it’s a little pricy.
V. W.
I'm a food freak and a very hard judge when it comes to dining out.
The food we had was no short of being fantastic. (And we tried just about everything).
Top fine dining.
The super friendly and professional service, made us feel so comfortable and relaxed.
The Decor and and atmosphere in the place made it, such a laid back experience.
We will definitely be going back there.
It has just made it to our number one restaurant in Perth.
A. O.
Wonderful international buffet spread! Have been here a handful of times. A couple of times left disappointed due to the inconsistency of the quality of dishes prepared and the number of dishes in the spread... sometimes would have rather gone to Atrium at Crown Metropol
Love the selection of desserts, cakes and pastries. Cold Rock style ice cream, waffles and more!
The seafood spread, cold cuts and cheeses were pretty expansive the very first time I visited. They gradually diminished the next couple of times.
Staff and service is good otherwise.
Be prepared to walk as there is no car park directly located under or next to the venue!! There is only valet parking and street parking within the greater Crown complex leading to Crown Towers.
This is purportedly a 6 star hotel! It doesn’t seem like it at times!
S. R. (.
Wide range of cuisine and excellent tasting food. If only the time limit was more. Worth every dollar you spend.
R. V.
I’ve been to this restaurant many times. If you know your value then this is it. Best value for money buffet in Perth. As a chef I can recognise the quality of meats. Epicurean serves high quality produce. Service is very good. Amazing entrees and dessert selections .
D. R.
10/10 the best buffet I've ever been to. The selection of food is amazing and the fact that they have something from so many different cultures is great! I would definately recommend coming here but make sure you book a while in advance as they get booked out quick.
J. S. D.
Too much hype before trying this place and didn't live to that hype, not much variety in terms of food, would prefer the atrium, the roast section is exceptional though and the mash potato with truffle. Dessert selection is great as well, but it was an okay dinner, would I pay that much again? Probably not.
M. P.
Great Buffet, fresh prawns, oysters, crab, smoked salmon, cold meats, cheeses and crackers.
Salad bar, Indian and Asian section, Roast Carveries with huge dessert section. Excellent place for those special moments.
K. S.
Fantastic buffet , a huge array of hot and cold food including an extensive seafood selection. Of particular note is the waygu beef, oyster station and chocolate fountain. The chocolate fountain is more for effect than for eating good quality chocolate but it's edible none the less. We had a fasntastic waitress (Mill) and she served our party of 30 with professionalism and efficiency. Wouldn't come on the weekend evenings as I think it is more pricey then but it is good value for the lunch time prices ($55 I think).
M. G.
Staff very professional and friendly!
However over priced for what is on offer.
M. R.
Brilliant concept, not a typical buffet... live cooking stations out of separate kitchens, a brilliant selection of charcuterie, seafood, sushi, hot food from around the world and a magnificent dessert buffet. Staff are very pleasant and the restaurant itself is very luxurious and spacious overlooking the pool. No doubt the new best restaurant of its kind in Perth. Food is top quality and tasty, bring your appetite... a food coma is more than likely...
R.
Food is okay. For the price point it’s best to come on Mondays I don’t really think the selection isn’t very good. Would like a more variety of foods like atrium. The wagyu beef wasn’t good at all I can tell they souve their beef and lacked a lot of flavour and had really weird texture to it. The lamb was really tough. The fresh seafood is ok some hit and miss but overall average.
C. T.
Service was impeccable food always fantastic, felt tonight that the selection was slightly less maybe because of the covid venue restrictions.
A. T.
Fantastic buffet. Magnificent selection. Quality of the food cannot be questioned. If you like desserts you will love this place. NOT for the budget minded. You WILL come out with a lighter wallet.... but if you like your buffets and you want to treat yourself then you cant go wrong here.
F. S.
Love the desserts and oysters
G. L.
Premium buffet restaurant. This place offers so much food you have to come back later to try everything at least once. Most of the food tastes great, but it's hard to justify the price per head when you can eat at another buffet in the same venue for a much cheaper price.
On the other hand, the look and feel of this restaurant is certainly representative of the price you pay.
G. B.
Good variety of food, a little over price, coffee is extra. Service ordinary and the decor is looking dated and to be honest a little grubby.
Also the toilets are outside the restaurant?
J. A.
The food was amazing. However, the service was terrible... I didn't have the magical experience that I hoped there, because of the waitress. She was super rude and unhelpful with us.
C. L.
Thumb up to the server of our Table. Her name is Mary. She noticed that its my birthday and surprised me with a slice of cake with candle. She is also very attentive. As for the food, it wasn't that fantastic. Quite disappointing. It was super crowded even on weekday.
S. W.
It was good, but i would stick to the cold cuts and seafood then go for dessert. Sadly the chicken and beef in the mains were dry. Maybe just got a bad cut. The range of food is great, from classic roast meat to Indian, Chinese and other cultures. Wine and beer list is simple and accommodates the food. The dessert was mix of big serves to finger food size. Ice cream and.cheese cake as well as fancy macaroons, small rich chocolates , mini cup cakes.
L. Q. E.
I'm in love with this place! I had breakfast and dinner buffet at Epicurean. The food was so nice and fresh, also the staff was so sweet knowing my bf was the birthday boy and they sent a little red cake with candle on to him. Great dining experience under great environment.
C. J.
Food galor, soooo much to consumed within 2hours. Well worth the experience and lovely atmosphere ❤
J.
Went here as a treat for my birthday and I loved it! Comfortable seating and attentive staff, and the food was fabulous! Massive range of foods to choose from, with something for everyone. And all you can eat!
D. B.
Excellent a wide choice of food loved it
S. J.
Amazing. Service and food. Cannot beat this for a buffet. There is something for everyone.
The decor is really nice and the tables and seating comfortable.
The sashimi was fresh and tasty, as were the oysters and prawns.
Definately worth a visit.
Save room for desserts.
S. C.
It was absolutely chocka block so had to queue for a bit for carvery. Felt as if we had to hurry because of this and never got all I wanted.
Ordered drinks when we got there and took 30 minutes to arrive with a few prompts. Wife walked up to the bar and got a drink straight away.
Beautiful venue, might go midweek next time.
E. M.
Thought I was going to expire with a food coma so much wonderful food to try
C. C. D.
Thank you for hosting our Team Christmas Lunch.

Came here for a midweek breakfast, service was poor, waitresses seemed bothered when waived down and took 15 minutes to pour me a mug of tea. Fantastic and wide variety of food offerings, almost anything you could think of having for breakfast is available here. Most pastry items were very obviously purchased through eustralis already made. Asian/meats/hot foods were of a slightly better standard. The waffles were definitely the worst waffles I have ever had in my life. The chefs were friendly and welcoming when choosing food from the buffet. Overall it was nice to visit this establishment but I would not return for breakfast.
J. H.
Good food, what they actually had was different to the listed menu though
R. S.
5 star B'fast dining experience, unparalleled in Perth. They even cater for Coeliacs. Many gluten-free options available.
D. S. T.
Love it by all means. Food is great and well positioned. A must dineinn place. However, a bit expensive but worth of trying once in a while.
K. P.
Awesome experience! Great selection of fresh seafood, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and caring staff. Definitely will come back! Best buffet in Perth!
F. W.
If you look for good selections of buffet, Epicurean is definitively the place to go to. Fresh seafood, variety of cuisines and number of choices of desserts, they should be able to fulfill you even you are picky. The only issue I have is their Singapore chill crab. Every time I try it, the crab is not as fresh as expected and too salty for me.
L. O.
"Its every penny worth" staff very organised & professional! F@@d just amazing! We will be returning again soon! thanks to all staff under those circumstances (mask)
D. C.
Possibly the best buffet I've been to, great selections of hot and cold as well as desserts. Higher quality dishes than you'd get at your normal buffet, but you pay for the privilege.
B. C.
Delicious food and a good variety between them, everything was fresh and hot and felt like you ordered it off of a menu.
M. C.
Fantastic selection of foods and good service from staff. Would recommend to eat here.
