P. H.Date night dinner for two. Wonderful atmosphere and very attentive staff with great knowledge of the menu. Food was absolutely delicious and the matching wines were fantastic! One of us had the non-alcoholic drinks pairing which was so interesting; great to have a variety of beer, cocktails and 'wines'. More than enough food, we went home full and happy. Thank you to all the staff!
W.2021 - Office Christmas Lunch. The set menu was great and even fussy eaters enjoyed pretty much everything. Service from Bruce was great.
2017 - We arrived just before 10pm Saturday night without a reservation. We were told to order quickly as the kitchen was closing but the service was fine. Very knowledgeable. All of our meals were great and these are some of the cheapest ( while still being fresh and tasty ) oysters in Perth - $30 per dozen.

There’s a very large wine selection but there presents the challenge of knowing what to order. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful!

E. M.Second time dining here. The food has improved immensely since the last time I came which was over 6 months ago. James provided us with such a great service and explaining all the dishes all the drinks that we would enjoy with additional personality that entertained us the whole night.
The uni was new addition to the menu. It was a nice balanced entree with fresh uni flavour that burst into the mouth. The mushroom entree dish was amazing too, sourced from local business The Mushroom Guys, it just hit the spot.
Then we had the octopus in squid ink which was delicious.
The star for me was the wagyu rump it was one of the best meat dishes I’ve had in Perth.
Definitely looking forward coming back as James mentioned there’s an update to the menu.

A. N.Heritage - Where do I even start. I have to thank James, Lise and whoever else contributed to the most outstanding dining experience I have ever had, much of the entire reason I will come back is due to the impeccable service.
When I booked Heritage Wine Bar, I was looking to dine somewhere a little bit fancy with wonderful food and a good bottle of wine, needless to say I got much more than what I was originally seeking.
From the moment we walked through the door we were on a 5 star journey. James and Lise were attentive throughout the evening and could almost read our minds when it came to the beverages and the food. James not only made great recommendations of wines to us, we also received some educating on the wines as well. We shared a variety of the menu and all the food was absolutely divine, presented beautifully and cooked to perfection.
Following dinner we were escorted down to Bobeche for a cocktail, but the service did not stop there. We felt totally looked after the entire way through, right up until we left the building.
I simply cannot fault any part of the evening and its not something I will be forgetting about in a long time. Perth definitely needs more places like this and I will be recommending to all I know.

From the fabulously sexy and cozy atmosphere to the gorgeous food served, this place left an amazing impression.
The wait staff are incredibly accommodating and professional, happy to help us navigate all of our dietary issues and allergies on the menu. The chef was happy to accommodate as well and left us with an amazing meal that we could ACTUALLY EAT.
Millie our waitress was such a pleasure to be served by. She made sure we were always catered for and helped us with all the dietary issues I mentioned previously.
We left with feeling incredibly satisfied and with a beautiful bottle of local West Australian gin that we were shown by the bar staff.
Well done Heritage bar and crew, a truely enjoyable and rare experience for Perth.

Our server Milly was the best - so attentive to us and made sure none of our food contained a difficult list of allergens. Can highly recommend anyone struggling with FODMAP dining or other allergy issues to come here - the staff and chef will actually accomodate your needs, which is rare. Even the gluten free bread is out of this world good! Overall I couldn't recommend this place more highly. Thank you for an incredible night :)
T. B.I expected a little more from our visit. We opted for the set menu with her requesting non meat option which they accommodated, fantastic.
Entrees were great and so was the 2nd course, except I didn't request a menu change to fish crudo, which we both got. It was fine.
I was told at payment that the 2nd course of meat/sausage etc was not on the menu. Perhaps inform the customer prior to the change and update yr menu.
Our mains were both spot on as i received a nice fillet of beef cooked
med rare, nice , some token veg on the plate would be welcome.
Desert was some concoction of orange qtrs on foam, the flavours didn't meld at all, and I'm not overly fussy.
My god, the coffees were horrendous, were you back washing the machine out and made it in between or training a new starter. We both left ours on the table, fail.
Service, for us was 6/10 serving ourselves with water to the rear of our table a couple of times. Friendly staff but quite difficult getting their attention, are u understaffed ??? and I'm not overly fussy, but I'm entitled to be fussy when dining at a $300 plus dinner outing.
Your wc arrangements leave a lot to be desired for fine dining shared with the bar downstairs and the condition late into the evening, well u get the idea.
Maybe an off night for 1 or 2 team members, a non returning customer

Shoutout to Tye (sorry if incorrect spelling) who was one of the bar staff - he was super fun and really made everyone he spoke to have a little joke and laugh and was so polite. S. M.I had a really great experience here in The Wine Store private dining room in a group of 12. We were well looked after before and during the event, and the food was 10/10 - completely faultless. The dining room itself is beautiful - high ceilings, surrounded by wine, and with a view of the comings and goings of the restaurant so you don't feel completely isolated.

P. T.I booked our evening here after reading the revue in the weekend west and we were not disappointed. It was therefore our first visit and not knowing what to expect, but it was a wonderful evening.
We opted for the set menu , the easy way out for first timers ! Thoroughly enjoyed the service , where everything was explained as it was brought out . Wonderful eating experience due to the mix of flavours and textures that complemented each other.
With it being 'Dry July' for myself I had both a 'mocktail' and a non alchoholic wine , the choice of a non alchoholic beer would have been nice , but my water glass was never empty. Gill had a couple of glasses of one of the Roses and thoroughly enjoyed them ( she normally will only have the one , so speaks volumes ).
The dessert was magnificent , one of the best I have had in years , I commented at the time of settling the bill that I would have forgone everything for the dessert it was that good. Not sure Chef would be happy with that comment , but his courses were excellent too.
Highly recommend this place , Rob gave it 15 out of 20 , I would give it 19 , just missing a non alchoholic beer .

An outstanding experience that is punctuated with staff that executes the finer details. The menu is creative with dishes that are clever, tasty and spruiked with nuance of great flavors. We are telling all our friends and we can't wait to come back - one of our new favorites for sure.

R. S.On Saturday night we had the most amazing experience at the Heritage Wine Bar, far more than just a birthday dinner for two!
We were greeted by James the Venue Manager and introduced to Jess the Wine Connoisseur who would be making selections to accompany the Chef's Menu prepared by Gordon the Head Chef and his team.
Champagne and bread to start, followed by a selection of snacks; after the tuna tartare tarts and sea urchin we were already giving the fantastic dishes 10/10 when we tried the Grouper wings, which were amazing and required the adoption of a new rating system to go higher; 11/11.
The Entrées were octopus with squid ink, and Wagyu tartare and at this stage we were having the best fine dining experience we've ever had; each course was exceptional and accompanied by fantastic wines with Jess explaining the notes and background with an experience and passion we loved.
A chance discussion with James led to a personalised tasting of whiskeys & bourbons sharing his knowledge and selection methods, and devoting his time to us so naturally whilst maintaining the flow of the evening for us and the guests at other tables.
Mains was a perfectly presented dish of lamb, two styles, with a flavour and layer of crackling that was unexpected and divinely perfect.
After desert (chocolate marquise and a cheese platter) we just wanted to keep soaking up the atmosphere of a truly amazing night, so we went down to Bobéche where Patrick the Bar Manager looked after us like were regulars; relaxing layout, great music selection, exciting cocktails.
This was an experience to treasure, and the price righty reflects that, but when it comes to best birthdays ever, we certainly won't forget the Heritage Wine Bar; thank you all so much!

Dishes of the rabbit, octopuss, wagyu and steak special were amongst the favourites of the table.
After dinner we went back down to Bobeche for another drink and felt blessed as the staff reserved a table for us to sit and enjoy our cocktails to finish what was a splendid evening. Thank you to all Bobeche and Heritage wine bar staff for your great service. Hope to see you again soon.

The staff at Heritage were amazing in the lead up to our wedding, and were very accomodating of our requests and to all dietary requirements. Heritage helped us to set up the private dining room to perfectly meet our needs, and was expertly styled by their sommelier Jess, who went above and beyond. On the night, the team at Heritage helped to ensure everything ran smoothly, and were very attentive of our needs. The food and drinks were exceptional, with our guests raving about the food! We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding reception, and loved how easy it was to transition to Bobeche for some late-night cocktails once we were done at Heritage. We would highly recommend Heritage for anyone considering them for a wedding reception.

D.During the dark early days of Covid-19 I surprised my wife for our Anniversary by using the pre-prepared, cook at home meals that Heritage Wine Bar had morphed into providing, but I wanted to experience the real in-house dining experience. We attended last Thurs for my birthday with my family group of 6, and from the moment we arrived James took care of us exceptionally. A couple of our group were unsure about cocktails, but with a couple of quick questions to them James said "leave it to me", and they were very pleased they did! James' assistance with the considerable wine list and my tastes resulted in a perfect selection. The food was absolutely impeccable, highlighted by James' non-invasive visits to ensure all was good. A delightful experience, and new (for some of our group) was enjoyed by all. Thankyou James and the team at Heritage Wine Bar! We highly recommend you to those looking for a dining experience!

Great spot. Food was lovely, drinks and service was tops. We had a great night. Wanted to do the rounds, but it was so comfortable and a great atmosphere that we stayed at the Heritage Wine Bar.

The meal was delicious. There were vegetarian options beyond a stuffed mushroom or a pasta. The “hash brown” starter and the lamb two ways were delicious and everything looked beautiful.

Additionally, my coworker and I asked for recommendations while visiting Perth and the staff went out of their way to compile a list of things to do and restaurants to visit. I can't recommend this place enough!

The “snacks” were DELICIOUS and different - we shared all 4. Then we had two entrees (the duck and the lamb, both clever and very sumptuous) and shared the T-Bone (large)...we should have left room for dessert 🤦🏼♂️. Jess’ wine recommendation was perfect for us and our food. Easily the best meal we had in our 4 night visit to Perth/Margaret River.

The restaurant itself has a beautiful decor with a lovely candlelit ambience.
The starters could be viewed as small but are packed with flavour (I would have ordered another if I had known). However there were other starter options to choose from such as the egg or the duck breast which were bigger sizes. We loved the added dining theatre of our waitress pouring the sauce around the dish as it arrived.
The Italian sommelier was also a delight to chat with. After some champagne to begin he recommended a Pinot noir from burgundy which paired beautifully with our starters and especially with our mains. The list was a great read with plenty of variety.
The beef Wellington with “sexy mash” was incredible. The meat was so tender and the pastry was cooked perfectly. The mash was indeed very sexy. Plus it was a big portion for those who are hungry.
All in all it was a great dining experience and I would recommend it to all.

I normally drink moscatos and since there was no moscatos on the list she offered to run to the local store to get one. What service. instead i asked jess what was similar and omg - this german wine was absolutely beautiful. the beetroot macrons were perfect. my fish was cooked perfectly. my partners lamb was to die for. I was shocked at how everything came out so picture perfect and the taste did not disappoint. they definitely deserve the one hat. The atmosphere to the music choice and loudness was great. i could still hear the music whilst easily conversing with my partner. it was such a great night. will definitely be back.

G. A.Being a proud "Perthanality" now located in Surry Hills, I take a point of interest to frequent this fine establishment with the closests of friends whenever Im home.
I always order oysters, thats a no brainer.
But like to test the kitchen with raw kingfish salad with char asparagus, radish for the crunch and sashimi with wasabi mayo.
My dearest friend announced she is pregrant, I then realized my healthy lashings or raw food between us was not going to go down well.
I quickly consulted the waitor, requested a heap of healthy vegetable based "safe" dishes for a queen expecting a spawn.
The kitchen delivered upon my non descriptive desires and produced some of the most off the menu vege roast pumpkin walnut salad goodness I have found scouring the earth, in quite some time.
I am glad she chose this venue to inform me of her development. And forever, this venue will hold a special place in my home heart.
Perth is its self has come along way. After loving and living in an exclusive residence on the corner of King St and St Georges Terrace for about a decade, I take a fond interest in the forgotton citys development.
Now a hostess of fine local small bars, down the laneway quirky venues and more then enough fine dining establishments popping up left, right and centre.
It is with coincidence that I can tell you. PERTH. Punches well above its weight.
Pair this with a ice crisp glass of white from one of the finest cellars and you have yourself a spine tingling experience only WA can deliver.
