The burgers here are pretty decent for a fast food joint. I ordered the double cheeseburger with the heavy cheese. It was mouth watering and the burger melts in your mouth with the bun being so soft. The honey butter chicken burger was great too. It had the perfect amount of honey, and the chicken was crunchy. The ribwich lives up to its name, the rib patty, onions and sauce makes it taste like an actual ribs dish, but in a burger! Only downside is it had way too much sauce, and it drowned out the rest of the burger.

I ordered a deluxe cheeseburger and fries at 7.30pm on a busy Saturday night in Northbridge. I asked where my food was 20m later. They comped me my drink and gave me every sauce under the sun, as well as an ungodly amount of fries and excellent table service. I would recommend to anyone. It was $17 and I couldn't finish it.

Decent burgers at a reasonable price. Nothing over the top amazing, but you get a good burger that won't break the bank. The menu doesn't really describe what is in the burgers, so if you have an allergy or preference, be sure to say when ordering or be prepared to pick it out yourself. BBQ sauce was pretty good

Easily the best burger I've ever put in my mouth. I had the Swiss Mushroom Burger with extra bacon and extra thick patty. $20 just for the burger but oh my word it was worth it. Burgers range from $12-$18 with optional extra for bacon and patty size. Milkshakes were good. Fries were decent and plentiful. Doesn't look like much in this photo due to the angles, but those burgers were pretty big. That's a full size tray you would get at any food court. The blue cheese sauce was delicious. All up it set us back $70, but wow it was taste heaven.

Hoodburger has to be one of my favourite places in Perth to grab a burger. I always order the cheeseburger with fries and have never been disappointed. The portion of fries is beyond generous and I never finished all of them but hey, I’d rather have some left over than be left hungry. There’s also a great variety of sauces to compliment your fries or chicken tendies. Malt thickshakes are made fresh in store, which I also recommend trying! I appreciate the products specially imported from around the world which makes all the difference to the quality that Hoodburger brings to the table. The staff are always friendly and smiling, and the overall vibes are great. It is clear how much compassion this burger joint has for its customers, with Polaroids of regulars pinned on the wall and staff making frequent conversation with patrons creating a great atmosphere. Being situated in the Old Shanghai Foodcourt, there’s always seating to be found and tables are cleaned often by workers of the foodcourt. You can get alcohol from the bar which is a short walk to the left of Hoodburger and is great for groups of friends. I’d recommend Hoodburger to anyone who loves simple, tasty burgers, and is great for everyone from kids and families to adults. Thank you for always delivering quality food with a smile. Inside the Old Shanghai Asian food court is the most satisfying burger & chicken stalls Perth has to offer, Hood Burger. Buns are fresh, patties are moist and not fatty, fries are crispy and seasoned nicely, double cheese is essential to make sure you feel like you didn't miss out on any calories! Deep fried chicken strips are crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The blue cheese sauce and queso sauces are great for dipping your chicken, chips and hell the burgers in. There is also a Bar in the food court that serves tap beer and most drinks at reasonable prices to keep you hydrated!

Totally agree with the reviewer who said these burgers remind them of McD but in a good way. Loved the smash beef patties, they were juicy and a little crispy and really well seasoned! Great value for the burgers, but charging $1 for tomato sauce with chips is a bit of a rip-off. Super busy on a Friday night, but the orders come out reasonably quickly. The "chicken tenders" is actually 1x large tender, it tasted pretty good but nothing special. Definitely go for the beef burgers, highly recommended!

Double cheese smashburger done right. Still tender in the middle, and that added crunch with each bite. Got extra pickles just simply because tasty-as pickles. Added two hot and spicy chicken tenders, and hell didn't disappoint - could have had a bit more bite to the hot and spicy though... but together with the queso dip, bam. Winner. Will go again, need to try out that ribwich. So they saying goes, "And if you don't know, now you know, *expletive*…"

Went today at lunch time. Never been before but heard it was good. Very friendly staff and they all seemed very happy to be working there including the dude that served me, he was very helpful in suggesting the most popular burgers and sides. For 38 bucks I got a burger with bacon and fried onions and it was delicious. Now this is totally personal preference but I am in love with Varsity burgers and am yet to find a burger I like better. This burger was fresh, well seasoned, cook perfectly, bacon was good, the server suggested I get the special burger sauce and it was delicious, a vintage burger. Text book. Every thing he suggested was delicious, I just enjoy varsity burgers the most. The fries were perfect The blue cheese dip was delicious The honey butter chicken tenderloin delicious The original tenderloin delicious (especially when dipped in the blue cheese sauce) The spicy one was no way near spicy enough. I' love burgers and have had soo many different ones from many different locations over the years and this place is on top of my list their massive double cheeseburger just melts into your teeth!!!!!!! Without a doubt my favourite burger joint in the CBD. The burgers are just too good. While orders come out reasonably quickly, it is often hard to find a spot to sit on a busy night - expect to be standing around waiting for others to finish and leave. But, as I’m sure anyone who has eaten here can attest to - the burgers make it all worth it. A very interesting joint, tons of Japanese and pop-culture influence and I especially love their test-kitchen that they hold regularly.

A recent discovery I am very impressed. The serving sizes are huge - a double burger and chips just makes me want to have a siesta afterwards! The burgers are great - I like a fairly plain burger without a ton of salad on it and that is precisely what is served. The burger patty is flattened and thin, crispy but juicy and tasty as anything. This is served on a hamburger bun with sauce, mustard and pickles - perfect. The chips are thin and crispy and salted to perfection (for my taste) and there is no messing around with small, medium or large - you get a whopping large serving. As a Friday treat lunch this is excellent value for money. You just need to get there by 11.30 on a Friday or be in a long queue :)

The atmosphere at hood burger is something for its own American lookalikes to marvel at. A culturally unique experience from the US which hits a little different than what we are used to from our favourite Perth burger spots. A bit fatty but otherwise great burgers with generously served fries. Kitchen staff looked like they were enjoying their work, a testament to the burger quality and service. Love the open window to take a squiz at the craftsmanship behind every meal.

Packed with flavour! These are some of the best put-together burgers I’ve ever had. Would recommend for anyone, especially looking for some great food. 👏 THE 👏 BEST 👏 SMASH 👏 BURGERS 👏 IN 👏 PERTH 👏 They serve American style smash burgers here that are squished to a mouthwatering crisp. The burgers are deliciously thin, crispy and best of all, well seasoned. They are made fresh so there is always a bit of a wait but it's worth it. The American style shoestring fries come with a rediculous portion size, just heaped onto your tray, I love it, there is always more fries than one person should eat. Good choice of dipping sauces & drinks avaible too. Staff are super chill, it puts out a good lunch time vibe. The seating is sort of shared style canteen seating, first come first sever, shared with nearby eateries, so it might not be for everyone.

well 23/7/19 met some of my late sons friends to have his special double cheese burger that he loved so much as it was the 1st memorial of his death. well i have not had such a great burger since leaving the UK in 1988. Absolutely amazing, first time visiting this place is difficult to finding; located within an open arcade surrounded by other food shops, this little gem is a must when visiting Northbridge. Don’t let looks fool you, If you love burgers, but more specifically cheeseburger-esque type of burgers with melted cheese, onion and a smashed beef patty then look no further, these guys absolutely “smash” it and know how to perfect the burger and master it’s art for something simple yet so delicious. Fairly tasty, beef patties are a little squished/flattened and overcooked/blackened, the overly generous servings of chips are almost perfect maccas-style fries. They don't seen to have any good flavours of chip dipping sauce though and I've tried a few; why is there no classic aioli/garlic aioli/Chipotle aioli/Chipotle mayo? Always long wait times here though. Varsity and Meet&Bun are better, but Hoodburger is about as good as Short Order, and way better than Huxtaburger, Flipside, Jus Burgers or V Burger.

Honestly the best burgers I've ever eaten. They combine that fast food addictiveness with the freshness of a hearty home cooked meal. I'm personally a Huge Bigmac fan but after eating these delightful bliss burgers I honestly can't say i can go back. The pearly gates have opened and bestowed my tongue with the sheer force of god. Ripping apart all the standard definitions I held of deliciousness. Each bite is more glorious then the last, the only downside being that to eat hood-burger you inevitably get closer to running out of hood-burger which is always such a shame.

Ripper burgers and huge chicken tenders. Do yourself a favour and get down here, you can't really go wrong. When I first arrived here I had an absolute hankering for a thickshake. Ordered the malt one I believe, what a great decision that was. Went down as much of a treat as an ice cold coke after footy training. Magical!

Located within the old shanghai food hall. One of the better burger joint in Perth. I had the double cheeseburger. The patties were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries portion is massive. Queues can be quite long during lunch. Pricing is comparable to other mid scale burger joints.
