First visit to dine in with a little one after viewing attractive menus on the restaurant website. Staff was so kind that he naturally moved a box of tissue from the next table to us, probably for my kids and reminded us the soup was very hot when served. And the pork katsu don was excellent warm as same as restaurants in Japan. The vegetable tempura was crunchy. The salmon katsu don was well prepared to make it easy to dip with Mayo and/or katsu sauce. Also the tap was equipped with a water filter. Great find in Joondalup area. I will come back for sure to take a photo of a rarely found pork katsu (usually chicken katsu is served at most of Japanese restaurants in Perth. However pork katsu don is very common in Japan) served in a well designed authentic donburi rice bowl. Reasonably priced authentic Japanese restaurant. No wonder to get two award plates.

Great food, great people, reasonable prices. The mochi flavours are a must-try; there's nothing quite like it. Sushi-grade salmon & tuna are way way better than other places that sell them.

The food was a tad high on the price, however the staff was really friendly and welcoming. The place wasn't well cleaned on the flooring, interior was okay. The food was okay, like there wasn't anything special about it, servings were a bit small considered its price - however it did taste good. This place is pretty good, if you want to settle down for a quick lunch.

Katsuya has been my go-to Japanese restaurant for the past 3 or 4 years, and it hasn't done me wrong yet. No other Japanese restaurant nearby even comes close to Katsuya's taste and quality.

Have never eaten in the restaurant before but have been getting thru Menulog for past 2 years now. Always been amazing. Never any stuff ups. Food is to die for. Absolutely love it. Happy to pay the price for all the food as the quality shows. Atleast for us it always has. Would recommend to anyone. The chicken katsudon is delicious.

Great little spot for some solid Japanese food. staff are polite and friendly, ingredients are fresh and cooked perfectly, prices reasonable and servings were a very good size. Recommend the soft shell crab, a good size entree for at least two people, seaweed was also the freshest and tastiest I have had in the northern suburbs. Keep up the great work.

Reasonable basic Japanese food, but missing that authentic taste. Oyakudon - which is how I gauge Japanese food - was nice but a little bland. Lunch specials are good value, and come with a miso soup. Would eat here again, best suited to a quick working lunch.

Food is really good. Delivery is prompt. The desserts are very disappointing tho. We ordered the Hazelnut Chocolate ice cream & recieved a tiny scoop in a styrofoam cup. Paid $5 but recieved what I would call $1 worth of ice cream

Visiting from Sydney I enjoyed this stop after work. Food was good Quiet spot to enjoy a quiet meal. Not your fancy pants Sydney Newtown hipster joint, but it gets what is important right. Ordered: Pan fried gyoza Tempura prawn Udon Hot tea
