Great coffee but the wait is long! There is a small backyard as well if you come with your pooch or baby. Tip for you: order beforehand on the phone. When I used to live in the area, I would come to the coffee shop around 8.15am and it took me 20min to get my coffee. Food is good and usually the service is great. Sometimes the staff can be a bit… moody 😅

Convenient to where I live as it's just few minutes down the road and always happy with the service. Coffee is really strong and food caters to dietary requirements. I also like that they usually puts aside the marshmallows for hot chocolate as I usually forget to ask not to have it in. Love the friendly staff. Definitely recommend 👍👍

Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was tasty. The wilted spinach at $4,50 extra seemed a bit over the top. Overall a nice cafe meal but can’t score more than three as the scrambled eggs, salmon and spinach came to $23. I asked for no toast when I ordered, that was again repeated when I paid but ignored. Just seems overpriced.

I had breaky there this morning. Looks like it's full of locals who know the secret. Service is polite an efficient while pretty busy at 6:30am. Coffee is quality and the Bene is very nice.

Very nice . Tiny location though , not wheelchair or pram friendly . Ordered crepes said with bacon but apparently typo on speaking to owner .. muffins lovely also fresh and moist .. bought to take home but they were brought out on plate. They make a good mocha with almond milk ..

I love this place! If you're a coffee lover, then this is a must for you. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms were perfect, the big breakfast was a big hit. The staff are always so friendly! And the barista is gorgeous! It's an eclectic mix of chairs and tables including a super cute outdoor area. And it's pet friendly! ❤

Hearty, delicious and creative food! Reasonable prices and a funky comfortable atmosphere - and friendly service. Thanks guys! Four of us came for brunch and we were all very satisfied. The big brekky, eggs Benedict with pulled beef and spinach crepe wrap were delicious! We loved the variety of yummy options that make it different from your standard cafe. And all the plants. Definitely somewhere to come back to again.

Great coffee. Juice and iced choc was awesome too for such a hot day. Best part of breaky was our smashed avo with feta and cherry tomatoes on crispy polenta wedges (to replace the usual toast)... so yummy! My only criticism is labelling this dish gluten-free when it's not -- frying GF polenta in a shared deep fryer cancels out the gluten-free and makes it not safe for coeliacs. My coeliac ordered her smashed avo with GF toast instead and they use Lawley's bread which she loved. Cute little cafe with great service.

Reuben bagel hit the spot for lunch. Coffee was tasty but could be hotter. Sat out the back away from the road noise and noticed the parking out back. Good to know in this busy precinct.

The coffee was great and the girls from the staff were really nice. But they spent a lot of time (maybe an hour) using a sort of blender so loud that we could not hear each other. Even the cashier had to wait to take orders. I think it’s not a good idea to use that machine when there is clients inside. This noise was really annoying.

Excellent staff and service. My partner ordered a Matcha Latte which was misheard as a Chai and it was fixed as soon as the serving staff were informed. Serving staff also make sure the they are serving the correct person, unlike many cafes and restaurants who dump the food in the table and are off. The food quality and serving size was much better than I was expecting. I'm eager to visit again and try their coffee to see if I can count them amongst my top brunch and lunch places in Perth.

Best coffee and great food! The chef at Leaf & Bean Emporium makes an amazing beef burger! Tasty and well priced. Recommended if you are in Mount Hawthorn. If you're not in Mount Hawthorn, get in your car and do yourself a favour!

Just wanted a coffee and fruit toast....2 other places. ...won't mention names...oh why not! New Norcia Bakeries and The Ladder...said couldn't do fruit toast as kitchen closed! Just need a toaster! Sadly the quality of coffee has really dropped off since about March 2018. Too many orders have come out wrong and/or just bad, which is a shame given how reliable they had been for so long.
