Nice location on the water. The service was friendly and all the food we had was quite tasty. The issues were fresh, the lamb share plate was delicious and the calamari was yummy. The price is on the high side but I guess you're paying for the location. I enjoyed my dining experience here.

Didn't go to the restaurant but this review is for the attached coffee stall out the front!! One person working so it took a while to be served but it was worth the wait! Coffee was on point!!! Definitely coming here again anytime in on the south foreshore. ☕ Updating* Went back and hit up the restaurant on the river, I had the lamb dish and it was absolutely amazing! Staff looked after us and the coffee was on point again!! If there was another star I would have given it to yall!!!

Headed here for dinner and ordered a seafood platter and extra entree - octopus which was to die for! I have to say that I was very disappointed with the seafood platter especially after reading amazing reviews prior to this. We were super hungry and our food did come really quick but the mussels seemed off, bread and the bug was cold and no flavour. I did enjoy the calamari and the oysters were very fresh! Decided to give desserts a try and I’m glad I did! Creme Caramel and chocolate pudding was tasty! Apart from the seafood platter, the staff were very attentive, friendly so thank you! Beautiful location and range of drinks too! Sorry about the photos due to lighting!

Fancy place with affordable price. You can get yummy meals while enjoying the swan river view. Service are great, they all are humble, love it. Try the chicken boneless jalapeno for sharing so yumm.

Mister Walker has everything working in it's favour, the views, easy (and cheap) ferry access, location. My partner and I came as a treat to ourselves, ordering appetizers, drinks and some mains to share. Everything we had was delicious, the scallops we're perfect bites packed full of flavour, the squid was cooked to perfection and the smoked salmon and pork left us full and completely satisfied. The staff were friendly and prompt and the whole experience was practically perfect. However for such a fancy restaurant, and the prices they charge. It was very confusing to be interupted by a cheesy happy birthday song blasted over the speakers. The ambiance up until this point was soft music and quiet dining fit to the atmosphere. Then suddenly the whole restaurant is somewhat painfully clapping as they delivered a sparkler cake to a table. This did not match the classy vibe Mister Walker gives off overall. I feel this could be very easily tweaked, by just having the staff singing to the specific table without the need to interrupt everyone's meal and cheapen the experience with the loud speakers. I'm all for celebrating but this just felt off Regardless I would highly highly recommend Mister Walker. Their menu offers options I feel anyone could find something to eat.But I would suggest reconsidering their birthday celebration techniques.

A great place to have a coffee, drink, lunch or dinner. I've always had fantastic service and very enjoyable food and drinks. The out door area is also dog friendly and the staff also brought out a water dish for our dog.The view across the river is pretty good too!

Tried to get in Saturday night but they were fully booked, went down Sunday morning for breakfast and my partner and myself both enjoyed our food, view and the 5 star service. Used the $20 meal voucher given to us by the Peninsula Appartments which was an added bonus. I highly recommend this establishment for breakfast but as we didn't get to eat dinner there I can't really comment but we intend to book well in advance next time we're in Perth and looking forward to it. 👍

If there is more than 5 stars on this review i would put more for this place. Had recently booked for our bestie 40th birthday and all the set up was absolutely amazing. We got serve by a lovely lady named Leane( hopefully i am not wrong). She was so helping, super duper friendly( most of them are). And she set up the dessert with sparkle stick and the birthday song, Which was amazing and out of my thought. All the food was so delicious and affordable price. Big thanks to the chefs Also the Man on the photo was lovely too, he made sure our kids ( 2 and 4 yo) well entertained. Thanks and we will definitely would go back.

We been to mister walker’s restaurant for lunch staff assist as and find us a table even though we didn’t make a booking. Just walk in to try if we can get a table for lunch while looking over the river. The food is yummy, staff is friendly and attentive. She even asking us if the table we sit on is good enough for us! It’s really good more space move around to have a chat. Not too squash.

The food is good but the service could be better. They took ages to give us the menu. My husband asked to the bartender for one and we ordered a few minutes later. After that, the waiter finally arrived, holding the menus. But we already have ordered. Also the food took a while to be done and the orders weren't correct. We were hungry so we gave up to tell them to change it. If the restaurant was crowed I could understand, but at this time there was just more 4 tables besides us and 4 waiter/bartenders.

First time at Mr walker and I must say it was a lovely experience. The lights could have been a little dimmer to improve ambience. However, in general it was a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating (specially since we had to push our reservation back a half hour, apologies for that). The food was excellent accept for one small critique with the octopus (needed to be softer, more sauce and maybe a lemon wedge on the side) other than this everything else was simply lovely. Would definitely go back and I would recommend checking this place out, even the location is great. You can see the whole of Perth city with no obstruction. They even do breakfast and lunch, its going to be a fantastic place to visit in summer.

I wish I’d discovered this restaurant before! It’s literally sitting on the jetty and the view is just beautiful! We jumped on the ferry from Elizabeth quays and the ferry drops you literally right outside the restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious, and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. It naturally seems to be very busy. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner next time 😊

An amazing place to have celebrated our first wedding anniversary! The view from our table was incredible and the staff were extremely very friendly. The food was unbelievable, absolutely divine. Went back after years and they still had frirndy service and a nice relaxing feel to the place. Not to mention the view. Do book ahead as it's a small place if you want to eat inside. Friendly service, nice food and a great location to soak up the sun and take in the view of the city. Finding a nice seat outside can be tricky in the day as its a busy spot on weekends.

Had an incredible evening at Mister Walker tonight. Red Emperor - Fresh Fish From the Market option for today was absolutely delicious. One of the best main dishes I have eaten in WA. Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic staff, welcoming, attentive and a good laugh. Starter and dessert were also great, truly talented chefs, someone in that kitchen has a great palate! Had a long girly lunch here recently to celebrate a friends birthday. I had the Barrumundi "Fish of the day" with salad and it was excellent. Great wine list - all reasonably priced. Service was good too. We ended up staying for about 4 hours. The location is fantastic. Situated on the Jetty in South Perth overlooking the lovely Swan River and the city of Perth - gorgeous! Nice to drop in for just coffee, cake or a light sandwich. Or to have a meal, chill out and enjoy the view.

We made an outside reservation for 4 people including our 94 year old mother and the family dog. They provided the most sheltered position, heater, blankets and water dog bowl. I went on a Sunday brunch time. The view and the service was excellent. I ended up grabbing an iced coffee along with the 12 hour slow cooked marinated coffee beef and eggs. The iced coffee was ok, needed some more sugar and the beef didn't really have a noticeable coffee taste which was a shame. It wasnt very tender even though it was slow cooked for 12 hours. Overall, the 4 stars is given to the view and the service. Food was average.

The service was great. The location was very convenient as it was a step away from the ferry. Personally I didn’t enjoy the coffee but that’s my preference. My partner really enjoyed the Linley Valley Gammon & Eggs and says the black pudding was perfect. The Uncle Benny (Eggs Benedict) could’ve used with more Hollandaise sauce as it made the dish taste dry.

Absolutely in love with this place! Beautiful views, amazing atmosphere, kind service and great food! The food was to die for, we're definitely coming back! Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. We had 2 toddlers and the service we received was above and beyond. They provided great kids options, cleaned what was spilled (kids...) with a smile, and without making us feel bad, even provided plates and cutlery for spiderman and superman. I had an amazing seafood platter here, with crayfish and other grilled seafood. The view is spectacular from inside and out, specially at night, overlooking perth city's reflection by the river. Great staff and we were welcomed very well although being almost 30 minutes late to our booking, sorry. Fast service and everything you'd want including cocktails. Only thing that you may find odd is that it's on the jetty where people cross the river to Elizabeth quay so you'll see a crowd of people walking by every now and again.

Really good food, protein heavy. Be prepared to pay for it. Lamb allegedly is good (based on a friends suggestion). Cod was good. Corn that comes with the cod needs to be eaten with hands though. A bit awkward. Kernels would be better. It's a small venue - booking in advance is a good idea.

Watch the sun go down behind Kings Park and the moon rise over the Darling Scarp. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and had a very good knowledge of the menu. The location is beautiful on a warm summer's night. The food however, was average... my beef tenderloin ($27 share plate) was gristly in part and not very enjoyable; the lamb chops ($38) too fatty; and the beef curry ($37) lacked the spicy kick expected of a curry dish. We expected a faultless menu given the prices.

The lamb was cooked to perfection though the roast root veges underneath could have been roasted a bit better. Have been here a couple of times. Nice spot, my parents like the view. Came here today trying to get a table, I saw it was busy but just wanted to get a quick coffee stop with parents as I saw there were people just left. The manager wasn't very friendly and said :"we are fully booked. .... I'm telling you we are on full capacity..........#%#&@%@". Have been working in hospitality over 15 years myself, she could easily had some smile and said it in a little nicer way. Never once I told my customers "I'm telling you....$^&^&$#&".. That attitude was unnecessary.

It was good but I thought the nori did not bring much to the dish? But for $18, I do think that you are getting the value. Overall, I think that I need to try another dish to confirm the stars allocated. I do feel like it's close to a 4 star than a 3. Watch this space.

This is such a gorgeous venue. We had a table of 17 for dinner and the service was so attentive and friendly. We had the set menu which included seafood platters for entree and they were amazing... every bit of food was cooked perfectly, it tasted delicious, and there was more than enough food for all! Mains and dessert were delicious again with many commenting on how amazing and flavoursome the food was, and all dishes were presented beautifully. A warm welcome on arrival and the views from all parts of the restaurant are amazing - directly across the water from Perth CBD - stunning. We were seated tonight at a high table which I personally love - very comfy and informal. We were catching up with friends (a great place also for a romantic meal, birthday, work catchup) and decided to share entrees and have our own mains. We shared: * lemon and chilli squid with nam jim dipping sauce (I highly recommend you have it with the sauce - adds such amazing flavour) * grilled chilli garlic prawns with cucumber dill relish and squick ink rice crackers (my husband's favourite) * grilled grass fed beef bites with slow cooked onion & capsicum, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce (really delicious - don't forget to eat the sauce leftover) For main course, my husband had the "special" fish which he loved. I had the shark bay prawn pasta with spinach, sunflower seeds, dill, chilli garlic pesto and squid ink pasta - absolutely to die for - so, so tasty! A great drinks menu - with well priced cocktails and wine. (And there were a few birthday's being celebrated in the restaurant and the staff at Mister Walker made them really special.)

Their market fish is always pretty good. The location is probably one of the biggest draws. It's a fairly small restaurant, but being on the pier like that is unique. You can also get the Transperth ferry into the city.

Three of us had a great lunch experience at Mister Walker. The moment we arrived, we were seated at a table with attractive views (if there are only two of you it is possible to get one at the windows) and brought water as well as the menus. Tom talked us through the first section which had attracted our attention. His attention to detail, and understanding of what we might like, knowledge of the meals and portion size was terrific. We ordered the lamb, calamari, and pumpkin wontons. If you are a calamari eater, this is the place to order it. Lovely light batter, coriander and a delicate sauce! The lamb was succulent and easy to cut. The wontons could have been filled more generously; on the other hand, the pumpkin smear was a good addition. Shame upon us, we ordered the ice-cream, waffle, fruit and popcorn sharing plate for dessert. It was plenty for four or even five. With its generous portions of a variety of ice creams, fairy floss and other delicious items, this was worth having to talk about long walks and exercise. I have mentioned Tom whose laid back appearance, for some, might belie his efficiency and knowledge. However, he and the young woman who served us initially were a joy. Great staff Mister Walker. We'll be back the next time we are in Perth.

This is a our favourite place for family celebrations. Amazing vue, great service and excellent food with generous portions. We love the roasted lamb banjo with roasted veggies. The portion is big enough for for 2-3 people. The caramelised peanuts are great as an entree to enjoy with your drinks while waiting for the main course and enjoying the view. The venue is small, bookings are essential.

The venue is right on the water in South Perth, that has recently been spruced up. There is loads of free street parking but it does fill up fast! The menu was very impressive. Small share plates, big share plates, mains, entrees it really had quite the selection even for vegetarians. A really great selection of drinks too! A share plate desert was quite novel indeed! The staff here, simply amazing! We had great service and a great atmosphere too! Considering what we received the prices where very reasonable indeed. I did enjoy this family experience!

This place is great. I went for dinner with my parents and found the dinner menu to be diverse and exciting! For entree we had the Golden Pork Buns and they were delicious. Golden brown and filled with yummy, tasty pork. I had the grilled fish special with was OK, a little dry. But it was served on the most beautiful and huge Salmon Pattie with smoky crushed eggplant. My mum had the octopus and it was amazing! So good. My dad had the pork and it was also fantastic. We all had dessert and it was amazing. I had the bitter choc tart and it was decadent to the max! Very friendly service. Lovely staff. A few people seemed new and a bit unsure but that's to be expected. This place really exceeded my expectations and it was reasonably priced. Beautiful location on the water with great sliding windows that open up and let the breeze in. The outside seating looks cool too.

I just want to start by saying this place is amazing! I booked a table for Mother’s Day for dinner and each member of my table was extremely impressed with the food! You know those moments you taste something so delicious that you’re left silent, just fully embracing the delicious flavours. Well that’s how we all felt when eating each of our meals. The kitchen staff are obviously very talented. The front of house staff are also really friendly! They were quite booked out when we were there but the staff reminded super friendly, prompt and caring of our needs. All members of the team should be proud of what a great service they provide! We all left super satisfied with our experience at Mister Walker and strongly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I want to spoil myself to such a treat!

As an Englishman myself, a Yorkshire Pudding is religious, but unfortunately someone in the kitchen isnt aware of the concept. It isnt a ball of dough deep fried for 10 seconds and lumped onto the plate. The gravy was bland and the root vegetables where a few and far between, but the beef was spot on. I'm all for a good atmosphere but when the owner decided to throw his own party, crank up the connections greatest hits and started using the wine bottle as his moment for the next Australia's Got Talent, it kind of moved everyones attention from celebrating my mates birthday too, "get aload of that table"... The place is nice but I wouldnt rush back.

Unlike a certain critic who seems to wake up on the wrong side of bed 364 days a year, I enjoyed my recent dinner at Mr Walker. And several dinners before that one. The owners have done a great job of transforming it since taking it over a few years ago. The atmosphere is always great, the service is good, and most importantly everyone always seems to leave very pleased with their meals. Personally I appreciate the amount of variety on the menu, and the fact that there are some good sharing options in addition to the individual meals. Mr Walker is always busy, with good reason, so book ahead if you can.

Lovely venue. First time visiting for breakfast (have been for lunch/drinks previously). Extremely disappointed with the tomato and mozzarella dish. Paying this much for a meal in Perth, fresh buffalo mozzarella is expected, and delivered in every other breakfast venue I have visited. Otherwise how do you justify the price for 2 poached eggs, fresh spinach and a few chunks of tomato Cubes of supermarket mozzarella is not acceotable. Given there is an Italian cheesemaker barely 15 minutes away, it is mind boggling the cheese in this dish was so pedestrian. There was also far too much balsamic glaze over the spinach (not noted on menu) making the dish overly sweet. Bread served with other dishes was thick and doughy. Not ideal for breakfast. Poached eggs were well cooked and bacon was tasty, but sausages were a bit undercooked. Unlikely we will return for breakfast.

I've been to Mister Walker a number of occasions and I have always had a fabulous time. This was my first time there on a romantic night out and it didn't fail on a single thing! We had a table right on the water, we watched the sunset and then watched as the Perth skyline came to life! Cocktails were amazing - we highly recommend the French Martini and the Toblerone - to die for. Food is fabulous and the staff are so friendly and we didn't have to wait for anything. Great atmosphere whatever the occasion. But if you want a table outside by the water, book early and request. Enjoy!!

Went on a Wednesday night for a birthday dinner group of 8 and there was a loud function on in the bar section. Staff were attentive and orders were taken in good time but there isn't much more to recommend. The special was very similar to a menu item which caused confusion when the wrong meal was served, the chips were double cooked, luke warm and rock hard. With 2 beers on tap, they managed to bring the wrong one and they warm plates out when we ordered ice cream for desert. Other things like, putting a table in front of the disabled toilet door (didn't affect my party but... )room temperature water on the tables on a humid day and grotty toilets didn't make for a great atmosphere. Such a shame that a potentially fantastic venue is letting itself down. Average at best, won't be rushing back.

I normally detest seafood but I have a place for room for crustaceans. Food is good quality and tasty but nothing special. A friend and I visited Mister Walker for breakfast on a beautiful Perth Saturday morning. The view across the river was its usual summer-blue sunshine-y sparkle, and is definitely a plus for this location. I'd booked online the day before, and we were seated at a small round "bar-height" table with bar-stool style chairs, which was fine (except at that height it's always hard to know where to put your bag......). The menu had lots of interesting options, but I'm a simple girl when it comes to brekkie and chose the WA LOCAL FREE RANGE EGGS HOW YOU LIKE ‘EM - for me "fried & over-easy" is how I like 'em - on toasted ciabatta, with no sides. For $12 it was pretty good value, but the ciabatta was too chewy and a little difficult to cut through with the ordinary dinner knife. I felt like I needed a steak knife, and perhaps should have asked for one.

Popped in after an appointment in South Perth for lunch and to kick off the weekend, since it's Friday. We didn't have a reservation but they kindly accommodated my husband and I with two seats at a bench overlooking the Swan River. Beautiful views of the river and Perth skyline. Enjoyed a lovely glass of Sparkling Rose, Baby Doll from New Zealand. It was light, fruity and perfect with fish. Started with Squid appetizer which was very good and tasted fresh. We both ordered the Grilled Fish special...snapper, which we enjoyed with kinda limp chips and garnishy kind of Asian Slaw. Dessert was a disappointment though. We both have a sweet tooth but the Rocky Road was bland and the Snow Eggs were carrot cake balls with a side of Cocoanut whipped cream....meh. Coffee too was pretty pedestrian and it's my pet peeve not to have a non sugar sweetener option like Equal or Stevia. So while we enjoyed our time at Mister Walkers (amazing views) it didn't meet our expectations especially for the price of the meal.

I took a visiting Sydney friend to Mister Walker for dinner and we were very impressed with this restaurant. The food, view, staff and ambience are just superb. Highly recommend to all. You wont be disappointed.

Great views of the swan in a cosy setting, followed with a coffee & a hearty brekky. Purchased the groupon deal recently & as a whole had a really good experience. It wasn't too busy on a weekday & we were warmly greeted coming in. Warmed up with a mocha & it was nicely done. The wife had the harvest & I naturally went with the hunter, both had a good portion size. At first glance the hunter didn't look well presented & the poached eggs were rubbery & overdone. But overall the rest of the meal was quite nice, the bacon was a standout. Would I go back? Sure, what's not to love about a cosy cafe with views, good coffee and food? My only wish was for the food to take a notch up and plated better, it's not far from 5 stars.

A friend booked this as so many places were closed during Christmas - New Year. At first didn't know where I was going, then realised I'd been there before - as it has changed names at least 2 times over the past couple years! I can only say it's for the better. This was easily my best dining at that location. Staff attentive. Starters were yum and great for sharing. My Fish and chips was delicious. However a friend had paella and the rice was lacking flavour. Would go again

Atmosphere and view were good, the food was okay, I had the spatchcock and creme caramel and both were very lacklustre. However the thing holding me back from giving more stars is mainly the attitude of the staff. I had no place setting when I sat down and when I asked for one I was snapped at and told "she'd get to it when she has a minute" just a little off putting.

This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! Beautiful location on the river overlooking the city. It was really busy for a Wednesday evening but staff were really attentive and friendly. The duck pancakes and sqiud were the standout dishes, the snapper special and lamb was also really good.

We had an amazing experience at Mister Walker. We sat facing the water and were lucky enough to have a dolphin entertaining us! Wonderful wine list and the shared seafood platter was exceptional! An all round wonderful experience. We will be back!

Went to Mister Walker tonight for my first ever Mother’s Day dinner after reading and hearing good things. Unfortunately the night required a lot more care and consistency - the place was busy but definitely not packed by any means. Angus Steak was lovely but I couldn’t eat any of my vegetables as they were all uncooked, so half the dish was inedible - ps when serving steak, please give diners at least ONE potato and not just (uncooked) carrots and Swedes!!! our first waiter was great - why they changed during the night I’m unsure - when I mentioned the inedible food to our new waitress she did not really care and just responded with a knowing nod which was a bit suspicious. The commercial rap and hip hop music playing was not helping the atmosphere either, a specific and nice playlist is definitely required! Great location for sure but won’t be rushing back.
