Honestly I had some hesitations about this place, I'm not a fan of sweetcorn, however once I ordered my meal and ate it, it honestly tasted really good. Prices weren't bad for what I got, however they seemed to have a lot of items that weren't in stock on the day I visited.

The food same as the pictures on the menu, great presentation, but when it come to taste I have to give 3 stars only 🙂 the taste is nothing special because don't expect it comes with some special sauce like mushroom sauce etc, its just plain butter on top and not so tasty, so basically just like home grilled meat at home with little bit butter on top and to be honest the beef taste not so fresh. What makes me give this place 3 stars is because the dessert matcha ogura ice cream that makes me add 1 point to this place. The bitterness from the matcha really blend well with the sweetness from ogura and they cooked the ogura really nice (great chewy texture)

A very good location to start with. Service is fast and you dont hv to wait too long for your food. Prices are reasonable considering its location. This place is not that big. Good for quick/fast hot meal with varieties to choose from. Its clean too. Their food taste good as well. Try them.

Great little lunch spot. I had the wagyu beef one with extra kimchi and my friend had the eel one (which was surrounded by an omelette). Both were very delicious and extremely peppery. The place is usually quite busy so you may have to wait for a table but the plates come out so fast (as it pretty much cooks in front of you) that you don't have to wait too long for a table.

Interesting concept: hot sizzling plates allow you to cook the meat and veggies you order. Its supposed to be Japanese style, but the karaage chicken curry I got was more like chicken nuggets in curry sauce. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Staff was nice, polite, welcomed me in to a table with a menu, but she didn't come back to take my order. I realized I was supposed to go to the counter. All good... My ignorance. Overall its just OK.

it looks tiny and cramped from the outside but its surprisingly pretty decently sized inside - enough space for a "crowd". food is pretty tasty, not the greatest, but definitely good enough to keep coming back. prices are quite reasonable in relation to the taste and quantity of their dishes. and staff here have been really nice and friendly too.

Very nice food. I love Japanese curries and I’m so glad they are halal and have certificates to prove so. Staff were friendly. Only issue is that they do not do order and pickups which in the city is a real let down for me.

Food was excellent. Interesting serving on a hot plate; essentially cooking the food yourself. Brilliant. Staff were a little cold though and the music was a bit too loud. Myself and a friend had a great meal though (she couldn't finish so they do give takeaway containers)

Although rather expensive item on menu but decided to give the Wagyu a go. Not sure what score was it but i assume it wont be anything near 5 or 9 but for the price i was provided a very good portion. Also i got to cook it myself the way i wanted it. Such an interesting and memorable experience. Will definitely come back give other items a try on menu !

staffs are very friendly! Their diy fried rices are great, delicious and reasonably priced. Some other items such as steak and seafood however are a pass as they're expensive and small servings. If you come during lunch hours you might not find seating as their shop is quite small and does get very busy. Sometimes the tables aren't very clean but it's not big of a problem to the point where it will bother you

Other than the fact that the restaurant is a shoe box and is always packed this place is great! The food is always amazing and the staff are friendly. The restaurant just needs to be bigger to accommodate the amount of people who visit!

Self order at the counter and you will be presented with a number for your food to be delivered to you once ready. Wait time around 5-7mins. Card friendly/contactless payment options. Free tap water is available(self service). Healthy meal portion. Paid approx AUD$20. For improvement 1. Not many drink options available 2. Additional cutlery is self service (food is served with only a spoon) 3. Tables are a little dirty. Condiment bottles which are readily available at each table are a little oily/greasy

If you liked pepper lunch in Japan then you'll love this. BECAUSE ITS THE SAME PLACE! But buyer beware. You get less beef on the classic beef rice and it is really thinly cut so when they bring it to you it's basically cooked, negating the 'cook it your way' slogan. Nevertheless it's still tasty and still worth going to.

Amazing food at an amazing price and a very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. The only issue for me was that the garlic sauce on the table was extremely salty so be careful how much you put in.

We love coming here, my partner and i always settle for the curry hamburger chips and seaweed shaje salad. I always say i will try other items on the menu but i always end up ordering the same thing because it's sooooo good. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, i love how they greet you in Japanese and when you leave they all say "arigato Gozaimasu"

Man, this place is one of my regular haunts. Good tasty food, at a cheap price. A real mix on the atypical Japanese meal, it brings Japanese teppan to the table. I usually go a chicken pepper with double meat. Be sure to cook it off first, add a slathering of that godly garlic sauce... oh man. So good! The staff are really friendly too. A nice hearty "irrashaimase!x (Welcome) upon arrival, and an equally happy "arigatou gozaimasu!" (Thankyou muchly) upon leaving. All I can say is, Gochisosamadeshita! That's "thanks for your hard work" for those who dunno. Deffs pop in for a try sometime, guys.

Another novel and casual Perth eatery with tasty food cooked to your liking, mainly because you are the one cooking it (teppanyaki essentially). Ingredients and sauce come out on a steaming cast iron hotplate. I found the chicken to be lovely and tender with a hint of pepper. Good variety of dishes, several enticing extras such as wakame, miso, egg, mushroom, potato wedges, etc. Delightful.

Had dinner twice here while on holidays in Perth stones throw from Where my hotel was in Hay St The Criterion The service food price excellent staff remembered me from my Saturday night meal when went back on the Tuesday night would have gone again on the Sunday night also but so engrossed in book on train from Aunty Marj in Mandurah missed Perth station! !
