Lovely fine dining restaurant which serves delicious and high quality food.
We ordered the broccoli salad, fritters, chicken and pork belly.
My favourites would definitely be the broccoli salad and pork belly. The pork belly was soft with crispy skin and the pineapple it came with had a hit of spice. It melts right in your mouth.
The chicken was pretty mediocre, the skin was crispy but the taste itself was just salty.
Drinks are amazing here - we ordered all four cocktails and all four were unique.
V. V. L.
Wonderfully crafted dishes. Was here for a group lunch with a share menu. Their cocktails are delicious with well-balanced flavours. The dishes are creative and well done as well.

Just visited the Petition for breakfast. Greeted upon arrival by Emily and then table service by Valentina. Both were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. We had the special with was poached eggs on toast with advocado and tomatoes and Beans with poached eggs and potatoe gratin. Plus 2 coffees. Good value too for this cool venue. Well done guys, great effort.
L. I.
Food is good , not many choices if you're not able to eat pork or other meats . Loved the dessert though .. amazing! Overall good experience

The Petition Beer Corner
This establishment sports a good range of specialty beers. It has a pleasant atmosphere and is not too noisey so it is fine for having a meeting our conducting a conversation.
The Petition Kitchen
The kitchen is a spacious and comfortable venue. The food is excellent and the service is at a very high level. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and it is easy to conduct a business or personal conversation without having to raise your voice. The quality of the food is outstanding. The menu provides a good variety of choices and there would almost certainly be something to satisfy every palate. The venue is licensed so is a great place to stop for a snack and a drink or a full meal.

Great place! Our go-to breakfast and lunch!
The staff were friendly and the service was good.
They change manus during the day, depends what time you get there. Breakfast serves until 12:00, after that will be another menu. Great choices both for breakfast and lunch options. Amazing quality of products and ingredients. In our 5days trip, we went there 3 times for breakfast/lunch! We loved everything we ordered. All tasted great! Would definitely go back again!!
A. C.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We ordered the feed me meal and left completely satisfied. The service here is on point and the food quality is sensational. We stopped and had a couple of beers at the Beer Corner next door before going to dinner, it is also highly recommended to visit.
S. H.
Fantastic service and delicious food. Aromatic garnishes and sauces that pair excellently with their food.
A. A.
Celebrated my sisters birthday lunch there. We tried a bit from each course. Food was excellent, as well as the service. Will be back

Short weekend getaway to Perth, came based on a recommendation from a mate.
Food was absolutely delicious, service from our hilarious Irish waiter Simon was top notch, yummy cocktails and lively vibe atmosphere. Food are designed to share for the table.
We went for the chef's selection and made it an adventurous night. Fav was the pea risotto and roast chicken, both flavourful and well cooked.
The only feedback was the plates were not changed between courses which meant interference of spices from other dishes did tant the over flavour and experience.
J. G.
The food at Petition Kitchen is consistently excellent. As a vegetarian it is fantastic to have a real choice of creative and delicious vegetarian dishes that pack a flavour punch. Highly recommended if you’re looking for some great food to share with some discerning friends.
H. H.
I can always hear someone recommend this restaurant to me, but to be honest, it may be that I have too high expectations so it doesn't surprise me that much. The food is delicious and the service is good, but there is no need to come back again.
H. M.
Amazing food and professional and super friendly staff specially Emily! We didn’t book a table but Emily sorted it out for us! The oysters were so fresh! We also enjoyed chicken breast and broccoli salad.
C. “. F.
Had such a great meal here this week. Was fortunate to sample all the substantials and they were all delicious
T. A.
Petition kitchen is truly one of the best restaurants in Perth. If you like adventure try the chefs selection. The food is always beyond amazing.
A. T.
Decent selection of brunch options, and I loved the pancakes a lot although it’s a tad too sweet. It’s probably worth 4 star more than 5 but great nonetheless and a good recommendation by Google review. The service was alright but could be improved- we literally have to walk in on our own and show ourselves to the seats. The staff energy was Low.
J. R.
INCREDIBLE food INCREDIBLE service Cannot fault this place My partner and I went there on our first date and have been back multiple time's since When we went there last night for our anniversary (and they found out it was our anniversary) they presented us with complimentary champagne and put candles in our dessert Love love LOVE this place Is definitely a favourite 😊
r. g.
We had breakfast and dinner here in the space of 4 days. Both times were excellent. Super cool vibe both times. The evening saw the restaurant fully booked out and for worthy cause as the food was delicious. We had a vegetarian in our group of four and myself gluten intolerant. They had a great selection for both of us. Particularly the vegetarians, as there is a seperate menu that is not advertised on the website.
You won’t go amiss to try this place for a special date night it for a friends get together!
J. E.
We had a great breakfast at Petition Kitchen. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was quick. The food was very good too. We ate the heirloom tomato and the omlette. Would definitely come back here for breakfast. The bloody Mary's are great here too 🍸
N. M.
Wonderful friendly staff, perhaps the best cocktails ever, and delicious food. The ambience is relaxed but lovely, this place it popular for very good reason.
B. F.
Dont listen to all those losers rating this place less than 5 stars. This was easily the best meal we have had in WA.
Tonight was great, the waitresses were all lovely, funny and attentive to us. They brought us champagne on the house as we were celebrating and just made us feel very comfortable from the get go.
The food was amazing, adventurous but not wanky.
Definately get the chefs selection set menu, make sure you get the pork neck in it.
Just a hands down good meal and night.
M. t. B.
After re-visiting, we were met with great service and cuisine. Every dish served was vibrant and unique, with such elegant flavour. Every plate paired well together as they flowed through the night. I would like to thank the manager, James Broadhurst, for his contribution to our spectacular evening and to the rest of the staff for their efforts also. Thanks guys!
T. H.
Delicious! Great service! Excellent wine. Shared the a la carte menu with a friend, but next time we'll bring more appetite for the Chef's Selection. Everything was 👌
T. T.
We popped into Petition for a quick coffee meeting and before we knew it we had ordered half the menu.
Everything was so well presented, you could eat it with your eyes 🤤 The Bircher museli was fresh and light; a must order if you are visiting for breakfast or brunch! For a bit of a cheeky treat, the kimchi toasty was moreish.
For those just looking for an incredible coffee, you can find it here!
Oh, and the service was impeccable!
Can't wait to visit this gem again soon 🤩
J. B.
The Petition is always my go too breakfast haunt when I'm in Perth I have always left fully satisfied.
From the moment you enter the staff welcome you seat you and have water served to your table.
The menu has great choices and I like to choose something different each time I visit.
The best is the Raw Beef on toast however today I felt like a sugar treat and tried the Brioche french toast with peach crumble, fabulous choice
The only small negative is that the coffee cups are too small so I order my drink after the meal to make the most of it ..
Highly recommend
P. I. F.
We came here for a Christmas dinner. lovely, absolutely lovely. The service was fantastic, the food was great. What more could you want? Thanks guys, we had a lovely relaxing Christmas dinner because you made it possible.
A. F.
Insanely delicious food! Every single dish we ordered was a delight. On top of that the interior is beautiful and the staff warm and attentive. We arrived 1 hr early for a pre-drink at the bar and they were able to seat us straight up with two glasses of sparkling wine on the house (for our anniversary). I'll be taking all my Perth visitors here :)
P. S.
Had Sunday breakfast here. Had the raw beef with eggs which was bang on. Good bread, and fresh ingredients. Decor is very nice, as are all the restaurants in the state buildings. Service was attentive and professional, however they probably could have been a little ‘happier’
M. L.
Excellent vibe food and top wine list per glass, which provide multiple experiences. Luna provided am excellent service and we hope she can contribute even more with the House. We back soon. Beef chick with barbera, outstanding!!👌👌👌
P. L.
Really cool little place. Coffee was excellent. Both of them. Service was really good even through the huge number of people showing up for their morning coffee. I ordered the thing with the bun and the bacon and hash brown and egg. It was hard to eat but worth it. More bread than I would normally like (too much bread to bacon ratio). But that's just a picky preference. So five stars and I'd love to go back and try some of the other breakfasts.
J. A.
I seriously love the foodie experience at Petition. Located in an amazing old building, the atmosphere, service and food is an excellent experience. I have visited Petition twice: coming back the second time, you are never sure if it is as good - and it was. The steak tartare is amazing, love what they did with the Brussel sprouts and the fish of the day perfectly cooked! These are sharing plates and I love that. And a big shout out to the staff... service professional but low key and friendly! Can’t wait to come back!!!
V. L.
Amazing from start to finish. Yummy cocktails I had the blueberry crumble and choc orange old fashioned both delicious 😋 Hubby and I shared the kingfish ceviche and stracciatella for starters, both devine followed by pork collar and casarrece for mains, couldn’t fault a thing sad we were too full to have dessert, we will be back.
G. N.
We had the best dinner here; the chef's selection was incredible quality and perfect serving sizes. Our servers were also wonderful and attentive.
S.
Very good food one of the best in Perth for service, ambience and fancy food. Recommend a spot at the bar in front of the kitchen to watch them prep and cook and multitask. Very quick service. Great combination of interesting flavours and textures. Nothing spicy though so i would describe this as fancy modern english food.
Cocktail was delicious. Gin lemon and raspberry jam I think 5/5. Oyster was fresh and tasty 5/5. Parfait was delicate and creamy with some sour jam 4/5. Fish was perfectly cooked and crispy skin on top of Smokey artichoke and butter sauce 4/5. The charred Silverbeet with smoky parmesan and farro was the winner albeit a bit super salty 5/5. Beet and Smokey eel sauce was lovely with nice earthy chips 4/5. Will come again. However favourite place is still Flour Factory where each dish was 5/5.
R. F.
the Petition Kitchen has a pretty good Sunday brunch menu. their Mango Kiwi Blueberry sald with Coconut Chia is totally awesome and highly recommended. service was good and staff were really very friendly. great (inside) atmosphere too.
C. W.
The salmon fillet was really awesome!and it was considered packed on a thursday evening. We went to the retaurant, there's one beer corner which looks pretty good as well.
L. H.
Food was really amazing, had breakfast tried to take a photo before I ate it but that didn't happen. Have the hotcakes! But everyone was really happy with what they ordered, no bad choices. Coffee is good, great selection of teas. It's wheelchair accessible, toilets are tricky to get to. Staff are super lovely and helpful though.
C. K.
Second time visiting in one week and I cannot get enough of this place. Had a selection of the small plates and I was blown away, fresh and delicious proudce. Service as always is outstanding and a 10 out of 10. This is a place you can count on for good wine, food, atmosphere and service. Can't wait to be back again.
M. Y. N.
Really great produce and good cooking being done here. We enjoyed the kingfish crudo, heritage tomato salad, and Arkady lamb.
F. D.
Stopped in for a quick bite at 3:30pm. Not only was the kitchen open, but the service and food was spectacular. It's a shame we don't live in Perth, or we'd be here all the time!
We ordered the fried (rice flour) squid and the kingfish (ceviche). Both stunning and work really well together. We paired these with a rose (provence Region) and were two very happy customers!
P. W. G. B. D.
We ate lunch here on Tuesday and it was pretty special. Bread and butter, duck liver parfait, steak tartare, turmeric cauli, broccoli salad, goldband snapper, roasted potatoes, carrot cake dessert, Pommery champers, white wine, French wine, red wine, it was all sensational. We chose the Chef's selection so had no idea what was coming. All meals were beautiful and our waiter was gorgeous. She was perfect. Only comment was that the tables were very close so we were practically dining with our neighbours. Once I had tuned out their conversations it was pleasant. I'd definitely come back here for sure. Share plates.
J.
Good service even on public holiday they'll try their best. Not to mention their good selection of foods ranging from light (salads, fresh fish, tapas size entree) to heavy (mains). Also featuring wide varieties of cocktails & mocktails. Love this place
G. C.
Had birthday dinner with friends. Food was fantastic and they were very accommodating of a change in our party numbers. Service was also top shelf (Simon our waiter was brilliant).
V. T.
A really awesome restaurant, great food, especially the sharing platters (tapas). The gnocchi was to die for and the beef tartare was nicely done. Lovely ambience and the staffs were very friendly.
P. R.
Unusual but delicious food. I tried the slow cooked eggs and although the consistency was a little off putting they were delicious with the asparagus and sriracha hollandaise. Gray service, lovely space and a great cup of tea. Very much enjoyed my visit
K. H.
Great spot for a bit of beer tasting. Lots of drink options for non beer drinkers including some good gin cocktails. Bar snacks/ light meals also available. Fish tacos were tasty. Cosy atmosphere
K. a. S. V. a. A. V. P.
Always great service and tasty food. Cheap it isn't, but the vibe is worth it. Lamb collar was a standout.
D. E.
Had a very enjoyable coffee with friends on a Monday afternoon. Great venue. Love the post industrial, raw timber, super high ceiling, exposed flor beams. It was quiet from a patrons point of view. But the staff was very friendly. I will be back.
A. N.
I had a lovely house-made crumpet for breakfast which was both fresh and tasty.
Probably a bit on the sweeter side of things for a breakfast meal also compared with the other meals ordered on the table, it was the smallest of the lot, leaving me still somewhat hungry
M. M.
Date night at the @petitionkitchen and boy the pork shoulder is the highlight dish of the night! Definitely able to feed 3 lol. Crispy skin, melting fat and soft meat... yumsss
B. V. G.
Everything you want from a wine Bar. A small but great bar menu. Solid selection of wine and helpful staff to guide you through the options. Petition has a lovely ambience which is always busy whichever day of the week. It’s easy to understand why.
P. V.
Great quality food, good service, coffee is not something to write home about but is not bad in any way.
Excellent ambience, the heritage building really gives this place character.
W. T. S. C.
Great wine bar with a huge selection of wines from around the world. Grab a bottle off the shelf or buy it by the glass, the choice is yours. A delicious menu of charcuterie and other selections. Definitely worth a visit when in Perth.
C. S.
Excellent service and great food. An excellent choice for Saturday or Sunday evening.
I had only one option for rose wine, but it was good enough. The food was fabulous, and the server’s attitude was calm and friendly but not too much. The flat white was also perfect. The place was neat and not noisy. Thanks to all the staffs.
T. C.
The most delicious food I have had in a long time. I attended with my best friend and uncle - I was a little hesitant because the style of food was a little different to the usual pub food I'm use to! I am so glad I did because it was sensational! That gnocchi was mouthwatering! Thank you for a gorgeous dining experience!
A. S.
Wonderful dinner, solo diner fitted in by excellent staff at short notice. Couldn't fault the Maitre d', an Irish woman with impeccable skills. Thanks so much
L. C.
Great place for a celebration or just a nice night out, and good concept of food sharing and tasting, quality is great, large variety of wines! I'll definitely come back!
S.
I come here often which means I think it’s a good place. The coffee is good. Also, “most” of the staff are friendly. I prefer their breakfast menu over the other menus.
S. v. D.
So impressed! Such attentive breakfast service. Long black coffee was great (didn't even need to use my dash of milk on the side), hot cakes were just the comfort food I needed and the staff even went out of their way to get me the morning news paper. Will definitely be back.
V. O.
The staff was very attentive, the service was outstanding. Clean, stylish and friendly. The food was fresh, tasty and as in the menu. I would highly recommend the place for lunch and dinners.
D. E.
Food here was delicious on both occasions we visited. The menu is ordered from light to heavy which is quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and attentive. The wine bar across the hallway is also very good. The bottled cocktails were particularly tasty.
L. V. T.
Foods is OK. Coffees were just warm. But baby Cino is hot. It was opposite with Coffees supposed to be hot!!!?
J. R.
Always have a good time here! The beer on tap is always fantastic, the food is brilliant- we’ve had the chips and the wagyu burger and I can say it’s definitely worth it. The staff are awesome here, always happy to help with recommendations on what you like, also happy to help choose a beer from their fridge, considering the beers range in price it is nice to have help to pick one out.
F. P.
High end industrial chic restaurant/cafe/bar all in one. The open style kitchen makes you feel like you are right in the thick of all the cooking action. Seems to be the kind of places frequented by the classy business Perth crowd. Extremely well groomed and friendly staff. The service is wonderful and very attentive. The food is healthy with gorgeous presentation.
B. B.
Delicious breakfast in a beautiful building with great service. Would recommend. Cheaper than I expected, but average breakfast price for Perth
z.
The team here at Petition were absolutely lovely. from seating us quickly to interacting with our table. Pleasant experience all around. Thanks
B. A.
Petition is a classy, nice place to eat and enjoy luscious drinks with people. This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff and a stunning setting. Food is delicious and to a high quality. I would highly recommend dining here for an enjoyable meal.
f.
Went for breakfast here on Saturday morning while on a weekend away in Perth. It was really lovely and I felt like it was somewhere that actually had a very different breakfast menu to what you usually find. I had the spring roasted vegetables with poached eggs and my husband had a breakfast burger which all the flavours of a new York pastrami sandwich. Both tasted really good and got us set up for the day.
I love the industrial style and the tables weren't too close together which is always a good thing.
I. C.
Delicious food, well presented with fresh ingredients. Nice coffee. Unfortunately the service was a bit off this morning... no sugar in the house so our coffees went cold while the staff hunted it down, meals weren't to order so had to be re-made, new meals came out missing some ingredients. Staff were a little bit snooty... they apologised and it all ended well but for the prices and reputation of this place, here's hoping it was a once-off and not a regular thing.
J. B.
An outstanding lunch.. the Broccoli salad is a must try but the Squid Ink linguine is one of the best we have had ouside of Italy.
D. M.
A brilliant, balanced breakfast menu with incredible service and an amazing atmosphere / the transformation from GPO to this amazing space is incredible. Loved the breakfast sampling plate with so much food! Awesome
P. K.
Modern dining with upmarket service, chefs choice menu was brilliant. Need to book at least a week in advance for a table.
C. W.
About the best lunch I've had in some time. Wonderful menu, wine list and service.
D. L. I.
Kitchen is good, food is good and fresh, but still they don't justify the prices. A bit to expensive for the whole experience.
The place is located in mside Post Building along with some other places and it looks like they only could rent a hallway since the space is divided really awkard.
As a huge minus I can say that service is, from 1 to 10, around -2. As in all Perth and WA waiters (along woth all other services work related employees) are just hugely lazy. They just don't care.
As a plus, try the lamb, it's just perfect.
G. R.
this is the place for foodie people trust me very good quality foods are there
S. C.
Went to Petition Kitchen on a recent trip and loved it so much that I went again the next night. Food was exquisite and the service was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice too, especially being in the old State Building.
G. J.
Wow. Seriously impressive bar. Seriously impressive kitchen. Amazing selection of craft beers, both local and international.
Food was fabulous. Beef ribs, succulent and serious. Verge dishes, all beautifully turned out. Broccoli and kalette's were standouts
Best meal I have had In a very long time. No photos as too delicious.
W. S.
Wow! One word I can tell you is wow. Fresh food, nice coffee and great staffs what else do you need for breakfast.
K. A.
Amazing food and professional and super friendly staff!! Would really recommend this place to anyone :)
M. H.
Best breakfast I had in a very long time! Try the raw beef on toast with eggs and avocado. Really good.
E. C.
Foods were great especially the asparagus. Good ambience & location. But the coffee was a bit disappointing; my latte was half-filled with foam & tasted very bitter/burnt
p. s.
Great food and friendly staff service! Loved it! Will be back again
A. A.
The food is variated and tasty. Good atmosphère and friendly staff.
B. D.
Sat down for a glass of wine while waiting for a dinner reservation near by. Atmosphere is wonderful and staff are pleasant. There is a very large selection of bottles. It is a little on the pricey side for just a glass of wine.
A. A.
Located in the heart of the CBD...
next to Perth town hall..
It's the ideal place for a business lunch, or just a coffee...
But occasionally there's a wait for food ( e.g. Friday breakfast) if the room is packed to the rafters.
D. P.
Beautiful food. Presented with care and finesse. Delicately balanced flavours. Very creative. Highly recommended for breakfast.
N. V.
Amazing! Service good, coffee good, decaf coffee also very nice. Would definitely recommend
L. F.
Best hidden gem Perth has to offer! Couldn't recommend enough how beautiful the brunch is at this place! Don't go past the Petition for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5 out of 5 stars.
P. O.
One of...if not the best brunch spots in Perth CBD. Firstly the venue is lush, plenty of space whilst eating so you can enjoy in comfort. Service was brilliant, staff working tirelessly to cater for needs whilst being friendly. Food tasted fantatsic, highly recommend "a bit of everything" breakfast for those that can't decide what to have (like me). Looking forward to coming back for another round at Petition. A definitive choice for Perth CBD antics
M. O.
Good food, with something on tje menu that would make everyone happy. Service was also excellent.
K. W.
Went for Chef’s Selection for lunch. Pretty good but a bit on the pricey ride.
E. M.
Great place
Coffee and breakfast along with helpful and friendly staff ticked all boxes
J. J.
Lovely service. A bit pricier for a full (but expertly crafted, delicious and somehow unique) breakfast. Spend sometime exploring the interior of the whole building.
A. S. (. f.
Great spot. Awesome craft beer. Super friendly and enthusiastic staff. Prices are on the exxy side, but it is Perth after all. Will definitely be frequenting here when I'm in town.
T. R.
Really nice place. Enjoyed the breakfast with a 'bit of everything' and the pikelets with kaffir lime custard and maple syrup on the side. Yum. Coffee was decent too. Beautiful surrounds. Great service.
T. A. (. a.
Dished consumed varied. Oysters top notch, other choices fine but nothing groundbreaking. Quality service from friendly and efficient wait staff.
S. K.
Had a great breakfast. Will certainly recommend you try it out. It was crowded but yet service was good.
J. M.
Wow what fabulous salads at Petition Kitchen.
The Broccoli Salad with its mixture of toasted grains, broccoli and feta was a standout.
We were surprised at the pork head croquettes which tend to be a bit soft and flavourless but these were firm, good flavours and simply yummy.
Everything is made for sharing and we must have selected well because it was just delightful and we left nothing!
The wine list was also good and our Porongerup Riesling was a worthy partner.
K.
This is a top tier restaurant. The food flavours and types are well combined, the quality of the ingredients is high, the perfect way it is cooked shows the skill of the kitchen and the wait staff are really friendly and warm plus attentive. The venue is in a beautiful old building and is carefully decorated to show the history whilst having some modern touches. Consistency in all areas too. It's always this good. You can't ask for more in a dining experience. Highly recommended!
R. E.
We had a selection of shared plates and the food was delicious. Service was also very good. Only downside I don't see why a wine list has to have everything high end. We have so many good wines here which are available @ a reasonable price.
N. V. W.
Upon entering the venue we were greeted by warm smiles and exceptional service that continued throughout the entire evening- Thanks Lucy and Simon.
Unfortunately there were no oysters or truffles left however we did only arrive at 8:30pm and selling out of excellent fresh produce is completely understandable. If you're thinking about ordering these delicacies just aim to arrive slightly earlier in the evening.
Dining on the chef's select menu was a great choice, offering a wide array of dishes that were all equally impressive.
Starting with extremely fresh scallops and flavoursome arancini balls. The warm beef tartare that followed was a great play on a classic with a couple of great surprises hiding inside.
The chicken main was superb and perfectly cooked whilst the veggies on the side delivered an excellent sense of nostalgia.
Finishing with a delicious blood orange sorbet concluded the meal leaving us full and refreshed.
Absolutely worth the visit!
L. P.
Over our long weekend we had breakfast and dinner. Petition is a favourite restaurant for me, especially for breakfast. There are always some unique dishes and interesting flavours. The service is consistently good, polite, attentive and friendly. It is getting busier all the time and you are now best to pre book. Difficult to do a walk-in.
J. U.
I can't rate this place highly enough! My partner and I dined here for dinner and it was so good we were back for breakfast the following day. Every single dish we had was perfect. I would highly recommend and we'll definitely be back.
D. S.
Great service great food, one of my favourite places for a not overly expensive dinner. Perfect for small or large groups. Booking is always a good idea but they have always squeezed us in when we have just rocked up.
C. B. C.
Breakfast is very nice but the place was understaffed and service was good but very slow
R. M.
Great service, good food and a great selection of wine. Worth the money .
K. G.
Was here celebrating a Birthday. The birthday girl received a complimentary glass of sparkling which was a nice start. We had the $65pp set menu. The food was delicious and about the right proportions. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
H. S.
Lovely environment but VERY pricey for lunch. Couldn’t believe this pasta was $34.
s. p.
i thought it was average, although it was our first brunch place in perth. shall see.
A. L.
Delicious spread of craft beers however, a little pricey.

Always a great experience. Love the ambience and food 👌🏼 G&Tea is top notch drink, Dorper lamb, twice cooked potatoes and the broccolini sheep's feta salad 💗 finished off with the mandarin meringue for a beautiful palate cleanser.
H. P.
Gorgeous vibe. Food is delicious and the staff were really friendly.
L. M.
The savoury food and service were excellent. Dessert was disappointing. Sunchoke rice and blueberries: It was very thick, cold and hard in the middle and had only a few token blueberries.
G. R.
Great range of beers, but get in early to nab a spot
S. R.
Food was solid overall. Chicken breast dish was meh. Service needs a bit of work - wine glass removed without an offer of a top up, one dish forgotten twice, dishes removed from table before the food was finished. Main server was lovely and gave it her best shot - mainly let down by surrounding floor team. Getting there :)
S. D.
Great feel, loads of eating options, but most of all for me, an excellent choice of beers.
A.
Thank you Petition! Enjoyed dinner there Friday night with a group of 5 and we loved it. New menu (We were told) went very well and every dish was excellent. The service was second to none, all staff we encountered did everything they could to make us feel welcome and tendered to without being smothering. Perfect. Thanks Petition and the team there, it was a pleasure and we’ll certainly be back.
S. D.
My favourite bar in the city. Both the beer corner and the wine merchant are regularly refreshing their selections, so there is always something new to try.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is super tasty. I recommend all my friends to go here when visiting the city.
J. L.
Beautiful, Fantastic, Magnificent, etc etc
A must go place if u r in Perth

Probably the best restaurant meal I have had in the last couple of years. What was amazing is that the staff was able to accommodate my spouse's gluten free and dairy free choices by putting things on the side or advising us what to get. Best pork shoulder ever, and the tartar was spectacular! Nice wine pairing as well, with knowledgeable waitress and friendly hostess. Will definitely go back!

10/10 for this dish.
Easily top 3 of brunch dishes I've ever had
S. Z.
Fabulous! Wait staff are efficient, polite, knowledgeable. Food was divine.

Excellent food at reasonable prices, quality can vary though
J. P.
Gorgeous restaurant to catchup with friends while in the city. Well presented and delicious chef's special banquet. Lovely staff who ensured a nice night out
D. W.
Bit of an odd experience on Saturday night. Have been here before and really enjoyed it. The duck was two small (think 1/4 of a breast total) overcooked pieces of disappointment. $42 guys.... Come on.
And the kitchen ran out of potatoes. Seriously. Who runs out of your highest margin dish?
Risotto was quite nice and the cauliflower was ok.
Will need a reason to return.
B. L.
Great Atmosphere Brilliant selection of beers and stouts. My Wife and i attended a work party here, aside from having a really long table and only being able to talk to hafl the team it was really nice. The meal price is more than i would have paid if i was footing the bill personally and we still had to grab some takeaway on the way home to fill up but the Tappas was a great experience, most of which I appreciated even if I was sceptical of being served raw beef mince. But the Beer - awesome. it would also be nice if those were served to the main table rather than having to make trips constantlay to the other end of the facility. Cheers guys
R. c.
Excellent venue. Amazing food and wine. Only issue is only one toilet 😳
W.
Very good food. Cosy, modern setting.
B. C.
Good quality hospitality. Creativity on the menu is enjoyable. Thanks
S. C.
Great service, delicious food! Well done.
G. H.
Great breakfast options, fast friendly service!
E. d. J.
Been here so many times. Always great service no matter how busy, tasty snacks and amazing beer. The staff are always so kind to my (usually drunk) husband that likes to try and make friends with the staff. He got a high five tonight. Thank you for being so accommodating!
S. C.
We had a lovely dinner for a 70th birthday and the service our waiter James provided was exceptional. Attentive, friendly, accommodating and just a delight to be served by. The food was delicious and everyone had a lovely night. Will definitely be back.
H. D.
Excellent range of beer and a very pleasant environment
B. G.
Best variety of beers, they create plenty of great collaborations with loval breweries you'll only find here!
S. C.
Nice coffee
Great service
Looks Posh but very down to earth
Fresh tasty food
Very affordable
C. V.
The jerusalem artichoke dish was amazing!! And the blood orange sorbet was very refreshing and fine too.
Thanks for the great diner and night. Service was great too. My wine was very good too: a montepulciano. I totally recommend the place without hesitation.
K. J.
Great food, knowledgeable staff very friendly and helpful
I. L.
You can tell its new because it still smells like paint but I loved the interior. The bar isn't really a bar, it's more like just an area to buy a drink. I was pleased with how much beer knowledge the staff had and they were all friendly. Didn't order any food but the rose was delicious! Can't wait to head back!
L. H.
As part of the State Building Experience we enjoyed our breakfast at Petition slowly working our way through a delicious berry compote on pancakes and some tasty eggs with extras all while watching the working world begin its day. I highly recommended this place.
R. S.
Great value for money, setting and atmosphere are top notch
Only slight feedback, bowl for the spring veg was not great to cut up the food!
Coffee was good and quick service for the time of day
A. D. R.
Nice place and great atmosphere. The salads are great, offering a wide range of new and delicious combinations. Not sure about some pasta dishes, thought. The best part is that the kitchen is open until late and it allows the time to enjoy a show and have dinner after the show. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
J. W.
Loved this restaurant! It was buzzing and we had to wait for a table - that didn't matter as we went to the wine bar next door for a delicious glass of local red. The atmosphere was great and the service really good. The menu is based on sharing plates - we had beef and lamb with different vegetable dishes and they were all extremely good. Sadly no room for pudding but managed an excellent coffee. Would have liked a return visit on our trip to Perth but ran out of time. This was a really good introduction to quality Australian food!
K. B. (.
Food was absolutely appealing and delicious, the ambiance and set up is indeed beautiful. Plus great customer service specially with one of the attendant who is an asian guy who made sure we are served and taken cared of. Definitely a 5 star and highly recommended.
I. D.
Quick review of the Beer Corner:
Love the inside of the building. Seating a bit uncomfortable for bony backsides.
Beer selection vast. Multiple taps as well as fridges stocked for dine in and take away. Regular tap takeovers. Garage Project the long weekend just been. Great being able to order 150ml samples.
Food-wise the broccoli salad and eggplant croquettes are solid options.
Always enjoy the DJ on Sunday afternoons.
Staff hit and miss, some friendly, some not so.
O. E.
Honestly the best food I've had in Perth
W. C.
Great atmosphere and variety of food with interesting wines. Simon is a great addition as waiter and confident. Always an option.
Z. B.
Wonderful friendly service, and delightful food.
M. R.
Food was absolutely delicious. Presentation of the food is superb. Me and my wife were both delighted. Will definitely go bacm here
L. C.
Fine, I suppose. Should probably drop the more ambitious items like the cheese board, but the simpler things that can plate straight out of the fridge were done well.
e. j.
Such a fantastic place to eat and share meals with friends. All the meals are meant to be shared so the bigger your group, the more dishes you can try. Service was prompt and waitress very knowledgeable on the different types of dishes. Atmosphere was lovely and not too loud. Chargrilled octopus was flavoursome with taramasalata. Tender and not chewy.
A. B.
Great food and nice place !!
I recommend you to book a table if you want to enjoy it !
P. C.
Brilliant restaurant just off the normal route for CBD eateries. Very different style of menu where you choose dishes away from the traditional entrée, main, desert style and select things in smaller dishes, mixing and matching as you go, or choosing a few to share with company.
g. f.
Really good quality, interesting and delicious food. Table of 4 with 2 of those big eaters and we had 6 dishes for dinner. Good value for what you get and the service. Really happy and would love to go again soon. Very busy and our food took a long time to come out but excellent service otherwise.
C. G.
Awesome watermelon and chilli cocktail, lamb shoulder and kingfish meals
N. J.
Been there few times. Always good and the menu changes regularly. I sat in front of the kitchen and had a chat with the cooks. If you are into tasty food and in the CBD, definitely a place to go.
M. L.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. Always great service and the food never disappoints. Love the ocean trout and the duck parfait.
N. G.
Nice spot, good service and nice wines
B. T.
Tasty food, friendly service, good coffee.
B. C.
Best beer, best sticky date pudding no doubt. Better than my Mum's soz Mum
B. M.
Petition is an outstanding experience and restaurant situated within the old treasury building. The restoration of this building into a hotel, eateries and gift shops alone, makes for excellent viewing of all the finer details of the architecture and engineering that re-completed the establishment.
Initially the dishes appear to be micro in comparison to other eateries, however this is the standard with many high-end restaurants, and despite the small serving size of these plates, they're cooked and presented to perfection. After all, 70% of someone's appetite is made up of the visual presentation of the dish, and the chefs behind Petition have recognised this factual statement, plating their menu with the utmost, careful consideration.
Additionally, you quickly forget about the serving size of the dishes, as the taste of each plate, fulfils your appetite, ensuring you feel satisfied and forget any concerns you previously had.
Thank you Petition!
M. S.
We had one of the best meals ever at Petition Kitchen! The food is immaculate. Super simple dishes that they have just perfected to a tee. Highly recommend this cozy little spot for any fancy occasions, a date, or just to spoil yourself. Try the chicken and the lamb medallions! Seriously! Do it!
R. H.
Recently had a week in Perth, well away from our Canberra home. Chanced upon the Petition Kitchen on our first morning and went back every morning following for breakfast. (When you are on a good thing ...) Inventive menu; efficient friendly service; great quality food and for a truly excellent price. Seems to be home to all of the local lawyers and such on their way to work so we felt proudly relaxed as we (shorts and tee shirts ... except for that cold morning) watched as they prepared for their day of labour. Special mention must go to James who remembered us on every visit, continued the chat from the day before and just made us feel so comfortable.
C. O.
The venue is just breath taking, dark and industrial look with one of the best locations in Perth. The chef has an amazing selection ordered from lighter to heavier dishes and all of them are shared plates. This allows you to try more than a few dishes. Totally recommend the ceviche. The staff is really friendly and super helpful to figure out the menu. The selection of drinks and cocktails is great too. For dessert, there's a choice of delicious stickies, you can't miss those ones! Great choice for a date! 😍
A. P.
We couldn’t wait for the 7:45pm delivery time, but it was worth the short drive in to the city to pick up dinner for 4 people, including wine and dessert, for $150.
We had the brisket, coleslaw and bread for two people and the chicken Maryland, sprouts, potato with gravy and bread for two people. Both meals came with mini lemon meringue tarts (two per person), which were 10/10. All paired with a WA Pinot noir made for a great dining out at home experience.
A. P.
Nice looking place with a good selection of beers. Service levels need to be improved. We were there mid afternoon on a Saturday. Very quiet time. Barman didn't greet us. Took the order, dropped the drinks on the bar and just told the amount. Had to ask him which drink was which. For a bar with a high end finish, not the best impression.
L. C.
Hands down my favourite place to eat in Perth. The food is always fresh, the service is always friendly and the wine list is very good.
K. H.
G. M.
Not sure of the theme, well heeled tacky? Beer ranges from 5% to 11%. If mid strength is your thing you might want move along. Seating is not comfortable, I would say stilted, staged? Whatever it is, it is different, not my thing but a good effort at being unique. Staff are great, worth stopping for a pint to see how you go.
K. M.
Great coffee an d breakfast was amazing. We had Chopped Beef and the Mushroom an slow cooked eggs. A flavour sensation.
B. H.
Great staff , lovely venue , can't fault what they served . It was all cooked well and good ingredients but a bit pedestrian for me. I can think of a handful of places I'd would go to before here for food. But a great place for cocktails and an all round evening
J. G.
Food was impeccable and service was very professional. The broccoli grain salad was amazing.
F. K.
The food was soooo good I toyed with coming back on Friday night - but decided to try another place- well their kitchen wasn't open to six - I asked where they would recommend - and it was Petition - so it was meant to be and back I went to indulge and have the fish all to myself, and left enough room for dessert.
C. H.
This place was a real treat when I visited with two Yelper mates last night. From the very sexy industrial fit out, through to the sound system, the service and the divine food, this place has started out on an high. We shared four plates and one bottle of wine, whilst sipping on the bottomless complimentary still or sparkling water on offer. All up, that lot came to about $140.
J. L.
Best experience ever! Everything was simply decadent. Make sure to save room for dessert, because that was the best part of the meal! The waitress was prompt and polite. Everything was just so yummy. I'm definitely coming back for more!
S. S.
One of the best buildings in Perth. So consistent we go there almost every week.
T. C.
Great and tasty.
Very good portion for sharing.
G. Z.
Beautiful old historic buildings, came here for breakfast and lunch, most was great, coffee was great, 5 star venue but burgers were only 4 star and had some minor issues with service staff attention.
F. R.
Went there with my daughter, food quality and portions are acceptable. Don't go there if you want a meaning full conversation with your dinner partner. Very loud, perhaps acoustics or a rather vocal crowd at the time.
T. M.
One if the best beer menus ever
high prices but
Very high quality establishment
Also ate breakfast recently and it was good but not great. Chorizo dish probably the highlight from our group.
Edit : Nov 2020
Had dinner recently with large group ! Amazing and I’ve upped the stars too 5* - not been back for breakfast yet ..... 🤔
C. W.
Very nice place. They stop serving dinner well before their advertised closing time but still do cheese and desserts.
T.
Nice food and nice staff. The music kills the atmosphere though... they were playing progressive house music and Justin Bieber at dinner????
G. H.
Good food and service. We had the group set menu - 9 items to share . Mostly vegetarian dishes with only one fish , one red meat and a charcuterie plater. 4 people to share each serve of food. A little under catered for $65 per person.
G. T.
One of my favourite restaurants in Perth. Such a wonderful, bright space. Service is second to none, top class wine list and the food is always spot on. They have nailed it. Seasonal menu never fails to disappoint. A fabulous spot for lunch or dinner, and great options for sharing one main and smaller plates if just two people. It's a go to spot.
C. G.
Nice atmosphere, comfortable setting. Unfortunately they had run out of a few things. The food we did get was delicious. Could do with more non-alcoholic drink options. A pleasant experience.
N.
Great place for craft beer, always an interesting crowd of beer connoisseurs or yuppies. Take your time selecting the right beer and don't be afraid to ask for a sample. I've seen a lot of local beers here but would be good to see more international stuff coming through their taps.
R. G.
Excellent beers and service, cheese platter a big disappointment for the price
E. J.
I would like to sincerely thank the team at Petition for the wonderful evening that my 3 guests and I recently enjoyed. It was the first time to Perth (from New Zealand) for my partner, and he was treated to not only delicious food, first-class service and spectacular views, but also a "Welcome to Perth" dessert plate (complete with sparkler!). To say he was impressed was an understatement!
In a time when quality restaurants can be hard to find - let alone stay afloat - Petition has remained a shining beacon in our local industry. Again, thank you for making our evening such a special one. You certainly showcased Perth in a very positive manner!
F. R.
Had an amazing time here. Words cant describe how satisfied i was with my meal. Usually I don’t plan to make trip back to rather expensive places but this is one place i feel its worth to spend your $$$. 100% fresh and delicious food.
K.
One of my favorite places in Perth. Delicious food and excellent service!
R. D.
This is for the beer corner only. Excellent choice of beers in a nice setting. Burger was only alright... too loaded for me with onion rings, bacon and sauce but some would love it. Good spot!
B. D.
Great food. Fantastic cocktails.
M. S.
We went to both the restaurant and beer corner on a recommendation and were blown away both times. Seriously one one the most amazing meals ever...highly recommend the Fremantle octopus and chicken, but frankly everything we had was good. I had also never been beer tasting quite the same way, lots of fun and a learning experience with guys passionate about their products
N. W.
Just had the best take away meal from Petition Kitchen-Mother's Day gift from the kids. The lamb was so tender and the chocolate dessert was to die for. Why haven't I done this before. 👏👏
C. L.
Probably the best craft beer bar in Perth with about 20 constantly rotating taps with different craft beers. Food menu could definitely be improved though but that's obviously not their core concern. They should have chips with aioli, wedges with sweet chilli and sour cream, jalapeno popcorn chicken bites, and a couple of pizzas, and scrap the current menu.
A. S.
Love this set up. The idea of the place is appealing, the decor is great but the service can be a bit slow sometimes. These millenials need to serve people and not glue themselves to their mobiles whilst working. This is the only disappointment with the place. If you can look past this, then you should enjoy the place.

I cannot thank your wonderful staff enough. I would like to send compliments to Alex, Abby and Megan (not 100% sure if it was Megan - the lovely lady who was greeting vistors).
My partner and I were exceedingly late due to the Christmas pageant road blocks. I was in quite a state and somewhat stressed.
We were absolutely spoilt by these three ladies and I cannot thank them enough for the amount of joy and kindness they provided throughout the night.
We had such a wonderful evening. The customer service, drinks and food was beyond fabulous. There is not a single thing I could fault.
Thank you, especially to Alex, Abby and Megan, for contributing to our special evening. I hope they realise how wonderful they are.

My girlfriends and I had an absolutely wonderful time. The customer service was delightful, which contributed to a lovely evening. The food was stunning - unable to fault. It's share plates therefore able to sample multiple meals. I would highly recommend, especially for a romantic date.
T. G.
Great food, friendly service and atmosphere.
H. M.
Visited mid-week for dinner and found it very busy. Luckily we had a reservation. The food was interesting and the meal good. Service was a little slow at times, I think due to there being so many people in the restaurant. Obviously a very popular place for the locals. Would recommend for the happening vibe.
P. P.
Absolutely love the broccoli and grain salad and really want the recipe. I eat here at least once a weeks and love the quality ingredients they use. Staff always friendly too.
S. J.
Not cheap but worth it and delicious vegetarian options even if menu doesn't sound great
A. B.
It's not your coffee and scrambled eggs type of place. It's soooooo much more! The dishes are creative, delicious, nicely presented. The staff is attentive and very friendly. If I only lived in Perth it would be at the top of my fav places. I will return for sure!
T. R.
Nice location. Had 4 share meals , arancini balls and cevetti with coal wagu was top, cauliflower risotto was disappointing as it was just cooked rice in a creamy sauce not prepped as risotto, beefcheeks were tasty but coolish. We had 3 cocktails, 1 was 19$ and came in scotch glass size!! All up 183$ it was nice but the price disappointed.
L. S.
Had breakfast at Petition Kitchen with my wife. Great selection to choose from but I plumped for a small Bircher (which was delicious) followed by raw beef with eggs and avocado..... Everything was delicious and I left feeling suitably stuffed!
Service was attentive, even with a full cafe.
B.
A must visit - Great atmosphere go to the beer section and try the many interesting beers and the wine Bar is amazing out the back, great selections and great food to go along, great service too
P. H.
Went to pétition for a nice Sunday lunch with à few girlfriends. I am currently pregnant and also diagnosed with gestational diabetes (only lasts for the duration of pregnancy), hence my diet is limited to à few things at the moment. I love food ! And pétition staff made me feel so comfortable about my requests such as multigrain bread, low sugar mocktails and even made me a delicious fruit salad for dessert. If you want to feel special and treated with utter most care, this is the place to go. Service is exemplary and the food is amazing !
D. S.
Fantastic breakfasts and great coffee!
A. K.
It was our wedding anniversary. I enjoyed there Atmosphere was nice. Not too casual not too formal. Not too loud but enough to have a conversation.
Food was Ok. The Wagyu was cooked really well and nice. But would I pay that much money for well cooked Wagyu with soy sauce? Um.. not really. However, the broccoli salad was worth every penny. So the food was ok.
Dessert, please do not get the espresso soaked orange cake. It will ruin your experience. It was wannabe tiramisu with orange. First, it was too much espresso with no coffee flavour. Second, the orange had no flavour. There was a spot where wasn't too much espresso. I got the idea what the chief wanted it. But they did not execute it well.
Service was ok. I asked the waiter what is good today. The waiter told me what is a popular menu. I assume they don't know their own food very well.
With the same price range, I have been a better restaurant in Perth.
Would I go back again? Yes. I would. The broccoli salad was amazing. The atmosphere was good. I would like to try other food there. :)
J. Z.
Petition easily deserves 5 stars. The food is fresh, seasonal and delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly. The interior is rustic, yet stylish and the craft beers are fantastic. Book in advance.
K. N.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon with some friends and their babies and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere but unfortunately our visit was tainted by the disgruntled and quite rude waitress serving us. Most of the staff were pleasant enough but a couple that served us hardly cracked a smile and seemed pissy to be having to take our orders! We were seated at the back part of the restaurant and ordered some nibbles and drinks. One of the waitresses had the sourest look on her face and was basically mute. I love Petitiion but they really need to pick up their service game .
S. G.
Great food. Customer service on arrival was the major letdown and really needs improvement in terms of greeting and seating customers. Waited over 10 minutes while 3 different staff walked past doing other things, none made eye contact or acknowledged we were even there.
B. G.
The food at Petition is excellent. I would have rated it higher but on the night I went the waiter mis-ordered 3 of the 4 dishes we ordered and also charged us for drinks we never got. Luckily the dishes were great but we would have liked to try the dishes we chose. When we pointed it all out, neither a discount nor an apology was offered.
F. R.
This is one of the best venues in Perth. Whether breakfast, lunch, dinner or just coffee you cannot go wrong. The menu is amazing and the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend enough! I only wish they would bring back the Egg White Omelette with sofrito.
c. m.
Simply the best. The craft beer attracts nice looking males ! But more seriously I would rank it up there with craft brewing in Seattle or NZ. Very well stocked, well run, place
R. H.
Had the best breakfast in here! Amazing avo on toast with creamy mozzarella, tasty tomatoes with fresh herbs and banana bread & nutella ...was absolutely delicious. Coffee was great and friendly staff. Can't wait to try dinner and drinks here.
J. S.
Great food, wine, and atmosphere.
p. p.
Great place to have awesome beer and finger foods. The DJ plays great tracks.
A. M.
I went here for dinner with my girlfriend for our anniversary.
Petition Kitchen is a very nice place, good food and good staff!!
They offered to us two glass of sparkling wine to celebrate, which was really thoughtful.
Thank you very much, we will be back again.
M. S.
A perfect restaurant to visit while in Perth. It had many items on the menu mostly designed to order 2-4 and share them. I can not fault this place at all. It had absolutely beautiful food and the service was outstanding.
S. J.
It is a classy, nice place to eat and enjoy luscious drinks with people. Food is delicious and to a great quality.
C. C.
Petition has a great atmosphere that is very relaxing. I found the food very comforting. The baked eggs with sausage and ham hock are a hit. They must use a sous vide to cook the eggs because the buttery yolk reminds me of a perfect 164 (degrees Fahrenheit; 74 C?) egg. I recommend an extra side of toast with this dish as you will not want the broth to go to waste, and the seed-crusted bread is a surprising stand out. Super enjoyable restaurant. Would recommend :)

Have been a few times on a Saturday night and it's been busy, though last weekend was pretty quiet and dull. Not sure I'm a fan of the new electronic beer list, although I'm sure it's a lot easier with the constant rotation of tap beers. The beer selection is always good and relativity vast with a variety of local and international craft beers in a very cool setting, though I found it a struggle to find more than one IPA or pale ale out of the 18 or so varieties, as it was all sours/gose, stouts, Berliner Weisse and others.
Still a good joint for different craft beer than the norm.
D. B.
Very nice and happy hostess that helped us to get a table even without booking (just 2 people). Food was DIVINE! We had the king fish, rostaded brussel sprouts and slow cooked ox cheek. Amazing ambience. We are coming back for sure!
M. R.
A truly excellent breakfast menu, complemented by a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. The asparagus with sriracha mayonnaise and soft eggs is a must-try! Would recommend to everyone who visits the area surrounding Hay Street and St George's Terrace.
S. F.
Review just of Petition Beer Corner - great ambience with interesting decor in historic building. Friendly staff. Awesome range of interesting beers (all 20+ on my visit from La Sirene). A bit loud - both music and people, but some good music (and as they say “if it’s too loud, you’re too old”). Pricey, but it’s quality and and location.
M. P.
We were served by a very friendly and attentive waitress. We paid approx $125 per head, including several dinner courses and some really nice wine. The price not only reflects the quality of the food, but also the amazing ambience - a historic building in the heart of Perth city. The mains were delicious and well presented especially the Marinated Arkady lamb shoulder, dandelion gremolata, pan juices & the Linley Valley pork knuckle, charred cabbage, pomegranate molasses. The dessert rice pudding was beautifully presented but could have been a tad bit sweeter (well, what do I know?). Was quite disappointed to see Foie gras on the menu - I would like to appeal to the chef to consider more humane sources of food ingredients, especially with raised awareness amongst patrons.
G. P.
Marvellous space, delicious and interesting food, good drinks, and cheerful service. Prices aren't cheap but they aren't outrageous (for Perth) either. It feels like solid value. Great addition to the city's dining scene.
R. K.
Every dish is always top class.
H. B.
Great place shared style food which may not be for everyone. Acoustics not very good is restaurant which makes it rather loud. Service was fine and location is great. Better for a group rather than a couple.
Will definitely go back.
D. C.
Over priced food. It was very disappointing the portion sizes. For exanple the scotch fillet was just the same price as most restaurants I wen to but was half the size and accompanied by nothing but an onion juz. The cheese board also was very underwhelming. in the up side: Good selection of beers amd ciders
J. L.
Unbelievably good food, but priced accordingly. The staff were very attentive and were a great help. The bar next door has a great mix of craft beer too.
T. K.
Came for lunch. Foods were okay, service was good. Lovely atmosphere
K. J.
Beer corner is the place for all the crafty beer people!
A. N.
Simple but well cooked food, extensive wine list in a rustic type environment. Well decorated space, friendly staff and reasonably priced options. They also have a wine bar for nibbles and drinks or a beer pre/post dinner.
Must try the beef shin!!!!
J. N.
The food was delicious with friendly staff. we had a great time with our family. We will definitely be back!
J. P.
Good food - interesting flavours. Really knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant waiting staff. On the expensive side. Good wine list. Nice atmosphere. Not enough toilets for number of patrons!!
N. E.
Haven't eaten at Petition, but the beer selection is always top notch. Great selection of independent craft beers on tap, always something new. If you love craft beer it's a must visit bar.
J. H.
Overwhelming amount of selection in drinks in a strangely small front but large interior space. Great for smaller groups or a couple wanting to have a not-so-quiet but not-too-loud experience to WA's boutique liquor.
J. G.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful old building, I'm glad you kept it as original as possible. Only bad point was the Wine prices per bottle were a bit on the high side, hence the 4 star rating.
M. T.
A very busy pub as it is at St Georges Terrace. Reasonable price and attentive staff. It gets a bit too loud due to the materials used in the building but I guess most pubs are like that.
D. G.
The cheeseburger hit the spot. Very filling, good bun that didn't fall apart on me & good sauces, pickles & bacon. Good music, swift service (mon night), good atmosphere & impressive beer range.
M. L.
Had tapas type dinner. Raw beef was excellent. Watermelon chilli cocktail was a pleasant surprise. Service friendly and excellent.
Came for breakfast also good.

Really cool location separated into different 'theme rooms' like wine, beer and restaurant. Tried out the beer theme and the burger was one of the best I had in Australia.
S. I.
Great spot if you like craft beer. They sell smaller glasses at no extra cost, so you can try heaps. Usually a couple of things I've never heard of on tap and the staff are awesome
L. M.
Great food, good staff very attentive, a little bit expensive but worth it.
Lovely location and building
J. B.
Decent coffee and food, up scale place with beautiful renovated heritage architecture but feels modern and trendy. Service is good - worth checking out. On the higher end of price scale.
A. G.
Great atmosphere and food. Recommend the Chefs menu - lots of different food to get you a little outside the comfort zone.
B. S.
Beer Corner: Knowledgable staff, solid food menu, and most importantly an epic beer selection. The team obviously put a lot of effort into curating the ever-changing selection of beers.

As always great beers, wine and atmosphere at the petition bar. Staff always friendly and helpful. They don't mind you tasting the beer or wine in fact they encourage it. Well done, keep up the good work. I'll be back.
A. S.
The rotating beer taps, great historic renovation and tasty snacks make this place a winner. Here for Sunday drinks and it's busy without being crowded, pretty baby friendly. Music just a touch too loud for conversation.
V.
Great spot for a couple bevans. Definitely some strange hipster beers sold here, but still some good choices available. Went here with a couple of the boys after a night out in Elizabeth key the other night and at first we were told we were not allowed to enter due to us being at the beer fest (Still had armbands on - and not completely paralytic yet), which was very strange. However, after having a chat with the always seemingly incompetent bouncer, we were able to get in and buy a couple of beers. At one point in there whilst dominating on the foosball table, the same bloke came up to us again and went with a bit of "oi keep it down or you are out!" gear. Wasn't appreciated or well received. Overall, rippa spot, just a bit disappointing that sometimes a simpleton or two can put a dampener on a good night. Will come back again for a bevan or two.
D. R.
Great food - little slow on service but was very busy on a public holiday. Generous servings. Good wine prices per bottle.
J. B.
An absolutely fantastic place to visit. The whole experience just takes you beyond just 'going out for dinner' from the second you enter the restaurant. Amazing cocktails, explanations on dishes is just outstanding, fantastic service.
A.
Great selection of food and wine. Service was the best I've had in a while.
D. H.
Ambience and wine were good however, the cheese platter left a lot to be desired. When will Perth hospitality learn that its a couple of $$ between a basic platter and one that blackmails you into staying for another bottle. A few nuts, jam, creativity etc wouldnt go astray. Won't rush back for now.
R. C.
Sublime spread of food and service was exemplary. Highlights were the kingfish, broccoli salad, heirloom tomatoes and flank steak was a real treat. Fantastic experience and will return soon.
S. C.
Would recommend this place for breakfast.the food was delicious. The 'everything breakfast' was a standout simple concept but very well executed. The service was a little slow otherwise an excellent experience.
B.
Great cocktails and extensive wine list.
Can be a bit crowned at times but worth the wait. Highly recommended. Wheelchair accessible.
B. K.
Great beers on offer - cannot get any better than this. Shame that the whole experience is let down by bar staff who don’t know what the definition of ‘customer service’. Try smiling when you serve customers people - it goes a long way.
S.
this review is in regards to Petition beer corner,
Fantastic range of beers and the staff where great, The burger was excellent but my one complaint is no chips with the burger that's just sacrilege, please for the love of humanity pair it with a few chips, it just unnatural to get a burger without a side of chips no matter how good it is
J. T.
Get's pretty crowded Friday afternoons. Great selection of beer. Did charge me $5 corkage on a $7.50 Tinnie...so there's that. Not Cool but great venue still....
R. D.
Great service from the female staff this evening, respecting I hadn't made a good selection with my wine. Definitely recommend the venue for a drink - we can hear one another talking!
J. R.
Stylish, rustic and charming. The service is finely tuned and the venue is massive, hosting its own courtyard aswell as a separate restaurant from the bar. The only thing I would knock is the fact you need to line up inside the venue if your eating dinner just to get beer on draught
S. R.
Great place to meet friends for a quick beer after work. Huge selection of craft beers on tap. They stock special edition craft beers too. Ask the crew for beers from local brewers.
P. G.
Very good food and great coffee. A tad on the pricey end, but I loved the overall food, atmosphere and customer service. Good experience.
J. T.
Fantastic food.
J. T.
The food and service was amazing, though a 10% surcharge on a Sunday another surcharge for using card was a bit rich. Also the tables were very very close together...
M.
Excellent service and a great selection of fresh and homemade options for breakfast. Stayed at the Como for a special occasion and was impressed with the chef’s personalised message on my plate! Highly recommend this a great local getaway!
P.
Good location, good service and decent food, would be better if you could make adjustments to the food to suit individual needs.
F. S.
Gorgeous vibe. Food is amazing Stunning house champagne. Thank you for spoiling us. 🥰
T. B.
Great Location!Their foods tasted great as well.
R. S.
If you jag the right bar tender on a quiet day they will give your pallet a tastegasum!
The food is great but pretty pricey for what you get.
Tap list is usually super but expect plenty form the same brewer if they've had a tap take over within the last week and a half.
Overall great for a few beers if your sick of Perths shite standard tap list of one fifty swan draught and peroni.
P. C.
❤️👍🥰

Delicious breakfast menu and pleasant service in a beautiful historic building at the centre of Perth.
The porridge, pikelets, and bruleed grapefruit were all excellent.

Went to Petition for a birthday celebration, Food and wine were on point, service was impeccable with decent prices.
J. T. M.
Great place to meet, takes a while to get served
P. G.
A good place to taste a wide variety of beers! Very busy! We played table football which was free and great fun!!
M. S.
The food here is amazing and very enjoyable. The wait staff are very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I would highly recommend dinner at Petition Kitchen.
A. M.
A great renovated space that offers another great coffee option to Perth. It can get a little noisy and the high ceilings mean that it's a tad cold in winter, but the menu and quality coffee make it worth it.
A. S.
nice range of beers and a great atmosphere. Nice music playing tonight, plus my wife and I liked the look and feel of the place. would recommend
J. N.
Great place for morning breakfast
E. Y.
Raw beef on toast was delish!

Great range of craft beers in the Beer Corner there's always something new. Would be five star but the price / size ratio is a bit rough.
P. C.

Always a nice place to visit for a coffee or a light lunch. Service always impeccable

One of the best places in Perth for craft beer lovers. A very extensive selection of local and international beers in a great casual space in the restored state buildings.

J. V. P.
Quite an upper exheloeon restaurant, excellent for professional lunches and quick meetings. Service was very professional and polite.
R. K.
Best place in Perth I've been to. Been there multiple times. Never disappointed. A must.
N. S.
Great joint. Visit here when in town for work and always a good time
A. M.
The tables are too close to each other. There is no privacy. Service is great. Food is nice.
E. M. R.
There are many bars in this place. You have a bar full of different kind of beers on tap, a bar of wines and wine shop and a very nice hipster bar with great decoration in the ground floor.
A. H.
Fantastic selection of craft beer on tap. Growler refills available. If you like craft beer it's a top place to visit!
n. s.
The vegetation options are so yummy. The tastes and flavours are sophisticated and surprising. The service and venue add to the experience.
C. M.
Excellent food and beverage selection. Also, a really good selection of craft beers. Prices might be a bit above average, but it's money well spent, in my opinion.
T. H.
super friendly - great food and service - knew their product -- highly recommended:)
r. s.
Amazing menu and taste. Presentation top quality reasonably priced. Will visit again. Thank you for a nice experience.
R. C.
Great restaurant located in a great venue. The Geraldton kingfish is a must for sashimi lovers and the ambience is great. Definitely a must for a nice dinner or special occasion.
I. M.
Expensive but lots of beer on tap. I think there were 16 different beers. Not cheap and the largest size glass is a 450ml. Well worth a visit.
D. J.
Probably the nicest cafe I have been to in Perth. Nice space, great staff and the food and coffee is excellent.
G. R.
Rustic industrial setting with friendly and efficient staff. Food is well seasoned, balanced and shows restraint to create a high quality meal. Would highly recommend for breakfast.
K. L.
Food! OMG. The presentation and taste was amazing. Well done Petition on having such a top venue! Ticks all the boxes
T. E.
Lovely place to have A drink in the city, love the old feel of the place being to old state tax building. Also their pineapple cider is not bad.
D. G.
Ordered a breakfast Wrap and they delivered a burger!!!! Napkin removed by waitress before finishing my coffee. Sorry but this was very sub standard. Date was 08/01/2021
G. T.

T. B.
Nice restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Great selection of beers at the Beer Corner. You can walk around in the building exploring the restaurants and venues. Definately recomended for a nice evening!
L. C.
Always have a cool range of beer, eclectic wines and its a brilliant venue. The staff here are amoungst the best in the business, they're Cool to chat to and have fantastic product knowledge.
P. B.
Very busy Saturday night made Petition very busy, noisy and the staff a bit frantic. Could not hear a lot being said about the menu items. Would probably be a lot more fun on a quieter night.
A. M.
I eat here at least once a weeks and love the quality ingredients they use. Staff always friendly too.
I. H.
Great food and yummy desert
C. N. F.

Best beer bar in Perth
B. G.
One of the best new bars in Perth, particularly the beer corner, which has a fantastic tap list as well as bottle takeaways and growler fills.
C.
Good beer, a little pricey even considering quality. Good place for Friday drinks as its popular with professionals.
A. Y.
Great place, great selection of beer and wine. Food menu looked pretty good too.
Like most places in Perth the acoustics are terrible
J. T.
Had beer with mates here. Great vibe and great place to taste and try beers! Very pleasantly surprised at the affordable prices right smack in town!

C. E.
Well thought out breakfast menu. Stunning dining space.
B. F. G.
Rotating taps of beer, and the staff have so much knowledge. Honestly one of my favourite bars in Perth.
L. H.
Pretty average considering the hype (and price) - starting with our booked table not being ready, to moody unhelpful wait staff that seemed to be programmed to rush you through ordering - if you want a relaxed meal and ambience this isn’t the place for you.
C. L.
Cool place. Great selection of beer at a reasonable price. Staff very knowledgeable. Gets pretty busy, but with dropping by.
B. R.
Absolutely amazing dinner at petition! Could not fault the place, food and staff were amazing! Definitely will come back.

Great spot to mix and mingle for after work drinks. Attracts a higher premium than some of the other city bars $$$
F. d. C.
Friendly service good venue and food nice but $57 odd for 2 breakfasts and 3 coffees seems abit steep to me
n. y.
Excellent kitchen. We enjoyed it very much
J. W.
Food is delicious, selection is limited, plenty of options for your choice of drink.
Service level when busy is inadequate.
