Giving 3 stars for service. It was very very good. Would have given a 5 if not for the following issues. Serving mushroom and a blob of cheese as a main vegetarian option is a no no in 2022. Surely you can do better. You offered to serve tortellini as the main but that didn’t happen. You forgot perhaps. We left the meal untouched

a quick note to thank you so very much for the wonderful birthday dinner held at your restaurant on Friday evening. The food and service (special thank you to the lovely Michelle) was exceptional, and no request, either before the evening or during the night, was too much trouble. All the guests have since commented on what a wonderful evening it was, and all really enjoyed the delicious food and there was much swapping and tasting going on around the table. My mum couldn't have asked for a better way or place to celebrate turning 80 years young! Thank you again , and wishing you all a very safe and happy festive season.

Went to Prego for the first time and had great service and good wine. They have a creative menu, some have commented they wouldn't call this authentic Italian but they advertise as Mediterranean Italian and deliver on this hybrid menu. I was pleasantly surprised at my dish of quail, risotto, haloumi, chargrilled prawns & avocado salad. Sounded like an odd combination but worked well on the plate. Lamb shoulder was cooked well, carpaccio was delicious served with parmesan, crispy garlic & caramelised onions and dessert was good too. The owner came out to ensure our meal was up to standard and we enjoyed the service and atmosphere. The pasta options looked divine and we will be back!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Perth. Every time i go the food seems to get better and better. I have been coming here for over 5 years and i am never disappointed. The service is incredible and the food is sublime. If they ever close down i will cry

A wonderful little restaurant with excellent service and outstanding food. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff were exceptional, from welcoming us in at the door to even putting a candle in our dessert and singing happy birthday. The shared entrees were light and delicious - we had the bread and olives with Italian sausage. For mains, we all enjoyed what we chose to eat, from the fish of the day to gnocchi with cherry meatballs. The dessert was outstanding - we shared the tiramisu and panna cotta, both of which were made beautifully and were also delicious. Will definitely be back in the future!

Had a fantastic family lunch here. It was a special event and was made extra special by being at Prego. It's a classy place inside, amazingly attentive service and most importantly the food was cooked to perfection. I had a medium cooked fillet steak and it was excellent. The roast potatoes were very good as was the accompanying sauce. It's not a particularly cheap place to eat but definately worth it for a special occasion. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals Can't wait to return.

Joe and Olga, have been doing this for a while and know what food people like, all food presented and cooked to a very high standard, out of the wood fired ovens comes, Duck, Lamb, and vegetables, just to name a few things. My husband took me to Prego Restaurant last Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday. It was my first visit to the restaurant. Our table was booked for 8pm. As we were shown to our table, I noticed that almost all of the tables were occupied. As to be expected, there was a decent level of noise from conversations and laughter. Unfortunately for us, our corner table was right next to a big table and the people at that table were really loud, making it difficult for us to carry on a conversation. Despite that, I did enjoy my first dining experience at Prego. We ordered the chef’s specials for our starters and mains upon recommendations from our waitress. We had the scallops and mushrooms, and trio of bruschetta for our starters. The scallops were succulent and sooooo tasty! For our mains, we shared the king emperor, duck and lamb dishes. They were divine! The fish was sweet and both the duck and lamb literally fell off the bone! To top things off, the customer service was excellent. We will be back again. Note: as this restaurant gets very busy, it is highly recommended that you call and book a table.

WOW! We've been 3 times now. Every time we have been blown away. The food here is as good as any of the fine dining restaurants in Perth. I am amazed with the talent amd the passion of the Chef. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful. We just can't stop making a booking for next time we go out for dinner.

Our very first time to Prego and all I can say is...Brilliant! Every course we ordered, every dish that came to the table and every time our wait person attended to us we were rapped! Stand outs were the fillet steaks(perfectly cooked), scallops(so flavorsome & buttery), mushrooms(a perfect blend of textures), the kunéfé(what a masterpiece!). Will be back very, very soon!

We recently had our first child and did not have much time for ourselves. We recently visit this restaurant, where I found a lot of good reviews on Google, so it was a no brainer to try it out. I must say, I would have given them a 5 star but I think the mains let us down. We had their diga station. Everything else was fine, the staff, the service, the atmosphere, overall, great little place.

Wow found this place by mistake and was not disappointed. Just like home, you're greeted as you walk in by genuine waiters/waitresses in italian, which is rare over here. Capaccio was spot on and the home made bread fantastic. Morton Bay bugs mouth watering and duck and veal were succulent. Star of the show was Kunafé made you want more just heavenly finished with a Roman coffee ☕. I don't give five stars very often unless I am truly impressed and it made me miss my home. Special shout out to Anna Hubert, she was unobtrusive but was awesome. The chef was personable and very genuine. This restaurant is elegant but not gawdy and not at all cosy, food is authentic and fresh and flavoursome. I don't get out much due to health issues but everyone made me feel welcomed, so much so that I am returning in September. Truly a great italian/Iraq influences in Perth. Wow trovato questo posto per errore non sono rimasto deluso. Proprio come a casa, autentici camerieri e cameriere accolto in italiano, cosa rara qui a perth. Carpaccio era perfetto e pana fatto in casa fantastico 🤩 Morten bay bug's L'acquolina in bocca, l'anatra e il vitello erano succulente. Stella della notte Kunafé è stato il paradiso su più. Rifinito con caffè Romano. Non do cinque stella spesso se non sono veramente e impressionato e mi ha fatto mancare la casa. Urla speciale ad Anna era eccezionale lo chef era simpatico e molto genuino. Questo ristorante è stato chiamato accogliente ma sento che eleganti, il cibo era fresco saporito. La vista dei vini è perfetta. Che tornerò a settembre. Davvero un'ottima scoperta italiana con Iraq influenza assicuratevi di provare questo posto almeno una volta. Non te ne pentirai.

We had the set course which you still had plenty to choose from in the entree and main. I tried the stuffed mushroom for entree which was packed full of flavour. I also tried my friends calamari which was beautifully soft and light. The duck for main was equisite but I found I didn't have enough vegetables to go with it didn't have enough freshness to cut through making it quite rich. The panacotta was very bland. Although perfect consistency, it just lacked flavour and you only get one little drop of coulis to go with it. The staff were a little flustered with such a big table but very lovely. The wine although expensive was also a highlight.

A good quality restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff. Came in recently for dinner. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I was a little disappointed with the wine selections, but thats not a big deal. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb shoulder, and it was delicious! Everyone else in our group reported that their food was also nice. For desert I had the trio of sorbets which I also really enjoyed. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, but quite noisy as there are a lot of tables in a small space and it was busy! Again, just personal preference. Overall it was a great dining experience and I would come here again.

Last night was the third time I have dined at Prego. Each time has been wonderful! The service is fantastic - attentive but never intrusive. And the food is exceptional - I love that the owners/chef have obviously listened to so many customers agonise over whether to choose the duck or the lamb that they now let you have a half portion of each on the same plate 😀 And both dishes are scrumptious! Prego is a fabulous place to celebrate a special occasion, or just to spoil yourself with an excellent meal as my friend and I did. We will be back soon!

Well I’ve been to Prego several times and let me say I’ve decided they deserve my loyal review. The chef is extremely friendly and satisfy our request that I can’t say enough. Once we commented that there was not enough garlic chips & rockets for the beef carpaccio and he said: Just ask and we can give you more! He is willing to take feedback and make sure we always enjoy our Prego experience. Now as for the food, wow! The duck never fails to surprise us with the high quality and consistent each and every time we dine there. The grilled prawns (entree) were outstanding and it has that char taste with their own dressing style which made it very balanced. We always recommend to our friends and like to bring our friends there for the fantastic food. And the service was always very pleasant. We hope they continue to keep up the good work.

I can not even begin to explain how amazing this restaurant was! I was there on a busy Friday night and the service was still impeccable. Personally recommend the lamb my partner had the duck and loved it to bits! Don’t even get me started with the manager Sham; most amazing person at the restaurant. She is accomodating and her hospitality was above and beyond on the night. I can not wait to go back to such a lovely and welcoming venue!

Love it, love it, love it. Expensive - yes, but comparing to other places we have visited recently - it is value for your money and it is much less expensive then other places. Had the Degustation menu and my son and his girlfriend who are vegan also had it. For the first time in 6 weeks of their visit I was proud of myself to bring them to Prego. They ate and smiled throughout the whole dinner and weeks later! The falafel is definitely the best falafel we have eaten in our life! Tortellini, prawns and fish: Red Emperor - all melted in my mouth... Don't even get me started on the dessert! So beautifully decorated and tasted so delicious I wanted more! The staff is so lovely, asked Chris for a wine and he brought a West Australian Cab Sauvignon what was made as Amarone: Cassio Dorus If you ever look for a night to celebrate, I highly recommend this place! So divine in everything that they do, from how the table is set up, to the food and service. 10/10 We can't wait to come back again!

This is hands down one of the most amazing Italian restaurants I have been to. The staff gave us 5 star service. My husband and I had the degustation menu and everything was made to perfection. I have to say the star of the night was the duck. I have never tasted something so heavenly. And the chef Jo came out and talked to us to make sure we had a good experience. We will definitely be going back with our families so they can also experience all this goodness.

Great local fine dining restaurant and genuinely Italian. Olga ensured that my wife and I secured a table, at late notice I might add, and we were pleasantly surprised. The entrée of scallops with mushrooms were cooked superbly and oh so flavoursome. My wife had the lamb roast shoulder for her main while I had the special of lamb and duck. Both meals were accompanied by a shared plate of couscous which had a lovely zingy, cleansing taste about it. With a couple of cocktails and a very reasonable original half bottle of Tuscan chianti the meal was washed down beautifully. Staff were 'on top of their game' & it was a delight to meet the lovely, friendly Chamille! There was a little mix up with the final bill but this was soon sorted and we left very satisfied. Not a cheap eat by any means, however the quality of this place ensures that we'd be back for a special occasion.

I usually don't like leaving reviews. The only way you get me to do that, is when the food and service is good or when they are really bad. To be honest guys Prego is the best restaurant I have eaten at so far. I had my 30th birthday on the 10/7/21 there and we were about 20 people and we all loved the food. It was flavoursome. All my friends had so much fun and they definitely want to return at Prego with their love ones. I am a girl of fine dining and I love my good food I don't care I small or big the size of the food just need to be good and I had that at Prego. Customer service was also great, although one of the staff was a lil tired but I understand cuz we were there a lil late and quite a big group but she did her best to service us as much she can. From the Manager to the chief were all great. Thank you @Prego for making my day and you guys will definitely see me soon.

My partner and I have been going to Prego for a few years now. Always have professional, friendly service. We normally go during the week on a Wednesday or Thursday and just can’t go past the degustation menu. Food is presented beautifully, each dish tastes amazing and it’s on point every time, even better you are not rushed out of the restaurant nor are you left feeling hungry. Hi. This is a must try restaurant in Perth From the beautiful service to the best duck I've ever eaten I highly recommend this restaurant. Beef Capacio was so tender and a generous portion Calamari was both crispy and soft. Must be fried for only a second. Slow cooked lamb shoulder just fell apart Crispy skin duck had a subtle smokeyness and the skin was to die for. The chef Jo comes out at the end and greets everyone. He is so kind and friendly had a good laugh with him. The manager (blonde lady) had great knowledge of wine. Service was on the ball and she didn't miss a thing. For wine we had the Felton road pinot noir from new Zealand paired fantastically with the food. An amazing drop. Thanks Prego team for a wonderful evening

Seriously, this family-operated restaurant is a very high quality establishment. Extremely good food, including twice baked crispy duck or locally caught, wild fish main courses, that follows delightful entrees including pasta and squid dishes The service is warm, friendly, yet professional without the fuss. We had an outstanding culinary experience here two weeks ago. My parents were visiting from the States and we wanted to take them out to a nice dinner. My dad doesn’t eat lamb at all and my fiancé loves lamb and orders it virtually every time we go out to eat. He said it was the best lamb he’s ever had! My dad tried it and thought it was delicious. He said he could have ordered it and actually enjoyed it. All of the food we had was exquisite and the service was impeccable. Great service. The Crispy Duck was so flavoursome n crispy a little more jus would help to make it top notch. A suggestion to have a few wines between $ 30 to $ 55 range also, as the cheapest wine on the Red wine list is $ 57. My Tiramisu was good, get a better one at Napoli Mercato hence the 4 stars. My friends raved about the dessert they had which was not what I had. I woudld go back for a meal with my friends and family again. Evening well spent. Apologies I was in Prego restaurant Floreat.

My Hubby surprised me by taking me to preggo for my birthday for dinner. It was fabulous, the service, meals and ambiance was good. They offer Ala carte, degustation and a set menu. We settled for the Saturday set menu and I had the following meals. Garlic and chilli prawns entre Crispy duck for mains They did a happy birthday plat for me for desert which was lovely. Mousse and pannacotta and the combination was quite divine. Their food presentation was on point and the taste lived up to that presentation. All three meals were matched with wine and the best part was that the chef agree to match my meals with red wine as I am not a white/sweet wine drinker. Excellent place, I would recommend it and can’t wait to go back and try the other meals.

It was okay. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could. The starter was okay. I ordered tortellini with truffles. Was okay, nothing to rave about though. I can't remember what I had for my main... which just shows how average it was. But to be honest, I'm quite a harsh critic when it comes to restaurants that put themselves in the 'fine dining' category. This restaurant would please a lot of people but not people like myself who have actually experienced fine dining from either Michelin restaurants or Michelin recommended restaurants. But for average people who just want a steak or pasta, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

My partner and I had lunch at this amazing Italian restaurant in the heart of Floreat. I had the house made tortellini filled with Porchini mushroom and fresh truffles, the sauce was extremely tasty and rich, I was even offered extra house made fresh bread so I could finish it. My partner ordered the carpaccio and it looked and tasted amazing. After the entrée, we received complementary rocket sorbet to cleanse our pallets and we were left extremely refreshed and satisfied. We then had the duck and lamb for mains and the sauce for each dish was incredible. One of my favourite restaurants in Perth! Can honestly not fault the food in the slightest. Tonight I am cooking my own home made spag bol, but yesterday I was transported into a different world. I was whisked off to a dining experience which was truly memorable. It's the textures and flavours which will stay with me. I enjoyed beef carpaccio a variety of bruscetta, seared Western Australian scllops and the most deightful prawns with mushrooms and wood fired lamb shoulder. Of course I can't forget the succulent roast duck. I m breaking these down as the variety was incredible. Being a lady of a certain age, I didn't want to skip desserts, so enjoyed chocoltino and sweet kaaif pastry with cheese. And as a British lass originally, I had never come across this sweet tasting cheese dish and would recommend to others. Big shout out to the waitresses as they were attentive and delightful and had the biggest smiles in Floreat. And of course those in the kitchen made the food so delicious. I was also impressed by the restaurant, the big glass panelled windows, can I mention the toilets? They looked as though they had been recently refurbished. Basically I can't fault anything ...except I should have taken photos. My partner and I were enjoying the food so much we neglected to take any pictures. We will be back.... well it's an excuse to go back so we can take some! Super great....thanks.

The menu in Prego restaurant offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I had the meat carpaccio accompanied by pesto, while my friend tried the chilly garlic prawns. They were exquisite. The main course consisted of a double cooked duck with polenta and sea food gnocchi, which really thrilled us. It all was followed by a delicious Chocolate fondant with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large selection of the best wines of the region which are worth sampling. After meal the Chef is there, willing to exchange some kind words with all his clients.I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to the Prego Restaurant.

It's noisy, wait staff have trouble getting around, took 15 minutes to even get a menu after we were seated. The food is reasonable, esp the crispy duck, but nothing mind blowing. Overpriced. Overhyped.

This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time it was 3 years ago. We went to Prego to celebrate a co worker's b'day. We had the testing menu. My co worker have allergies. They were very adaptable in giving her a different menu. We are impressed with them adapting to it. I had the fish and the rest of the guests had duck. I tried their famous duck in their mains. I wasn't that impressed with the duck dish which they said it's what they are famous for. I had better duck in a different restaurant. The fish was just average as well. I wasn't impressed with the mains. The entree, Trio seasonal bruschetta was good, Garlic and chilli prawn with mushroom was good and tortellini filled with ricotta, leek and spinach was good. The dessert was panacotta with chocolate tarte was good. Would I return to this restaurant, yes for the entrees and desserts but not for their mains.

We decided to enjoy the 5 course degustation dinner without the matching wines (driving to dinner has its drawbacks) The food was delicious and well presented, the wine list was impressive for a small suburban restaurant. The only reason this place has 4 and not 5 stars is the lengthy delay between courses. Dinner started at 1830 and didn't finish until after 2200 and we waited 20-30 min between courses. Great value for money, especially the degustation options, but make sure you have plenty of time and nothing else planned for the night. We will be back 😊

Food was good, even though there was really large discrepancies in the portion sizes, that did not correlate with prices. The dining room was far too crowded and went from cozy to cramped really quickly, especially when wait staff needed the assistance of diners to pass multiple plates over other diners around the table because the table was jammed right back into the corner, making it impossible for wait staff to be able to access all diners. Then came our real challenge - splitting the bill. At no point throughout the night was the any indication visually or verbally that spiltting bills was not accepted. This was, until we approached the counter to pay. It was only after being pushed that she would accept a split bill "but only this time" before enthusiastically ushering us out of the door. Food really good, just not sit if I'd return based only on that.

I've been to Prego last week with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we stepped in, we felt really welcomed, as the waitress greeted us with BUONA SERA with a smile while opening the door. She showed us the table and then, after water and glasses of prosecco to began my party, she came back to explain us the specials. As special entree she suggested to try their homemade tortelloni with porcini mushroom and shaved Manjimup truffle and their duo of scallops wrapped in pancetta with field mushroom. And we all went for them! Everything was delicious and we could see that the kitchen team put a lot of efforts, love and creativity in what they are cooking. As a main course, I personally had fish (red emperor) on a bed of warm potato salad. It was delicious! Some of us took the duo duck and lamb with cous cous salad, some took quail and scotch fillet with rosemary potato and haloumi salad as side dishes. Everybody was really impressed and happy about the food, nothing was left in the plates! For dessert we choose trio (pannacotta, baklava, chocolate tarte) and their homemade apple tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream! I was very happy and impressed that the waitress organised a plate with happy birthday written on my plate and after we all sing happy birthday together. It was the first time for us in prego, and we definitely came back!!! Thank you prego team!

It had been several years since our last visit but we were immediately recognised by the proprietor and given a warm welcome.
