This place is a staple for Vietnamese food. Avoid Roll’d… come to this place instead - it’s value for money. If you want proof, see the attached photos for meal sizes. I couldn’t finish my meal 😂😂😂

Haven’t been to this place since they moved from Northbridge like more then 10 years ago. Have great memories of a cheap eats place. Even after all this time their food still tastes the same. Good memories relived!!

Having been taken by my hosts to different fancy seaside restaurants during the week, on my last day I went to Saigon by myself as it was close to my hotel. It was my favourite meal of the week, it’s great food and not expensive. The staff is also very friendly. Give Saigon a go!

Have gone here many times. The food here is really good. They've got nice chicken/pork/veg rice paper rolls. The sides available on the side table are self serve. I always mix a combination of chilli oil, peanuts and the sweet sauce, resulting in a sweet but also spicy sauce, to accompany the rice paper rolls. Amazing!!

One of the few eateries on the street that are open late on week days. Food is average and the serving size is decent. The owner is really friendly and is always smiling. Have been sampling through the menu and can definitely recommend the lemon grass beef.

Ok bit of an 'OH WOW!' moment for me. Bit of a long story, not shortened. Anyway, in our younger Northbridge pubbing days all roads (sober or not) would eventually lead to the Saigon Restaurant on James Street for a Sichuan Chicken feed, which was arguably the best Sichuan Chicken in the world. We went to Kalgoorlie but a trip back to Perth had to include a Saigon Restaurant meal. Unfortunately whilst we were in Roebourne due to James Street building referbs Saigon closed and was lost to me. I may have even mourned a little. Anyway, tonight walking the Perth streets to an intended destination I found Saigon Restaurant on Hay Street. The sign was the same but I thought it can't be the same people. I walked in to check out the menu anyway. Low and behold the same lady that ran Northbridge was standing there. The difference was she was smiling... Northbridge was always as busy as hell and she ran that restaurant with an iron fist and a stern tounge. Ok, to shorten this novel I ordered the Sichuan Chicken and IT WAS THE SAME!! Poured onto a sizzling cast iron plate and all!! We ordered the satay too and it was nearly as good as my Sichuan... and to top it off it was cheap as chips. The old couple (even though Queen Saigon hasn't aged one bit) don't do the long hours anymore but still cook the same. So if you ever want to try possibly the best Asian food in Perth call into Saigon!

I've been looking for a great laksa to rival Sydney's Hunter St since moving to Perth. I think this one is the closest I've had. Great laksa chicken. Spicy and flavoursome!

We had a wonderful visit to the "new" Saigon last week. I've never tried Sizzling Tofu before and I can't believe how good it was! We also ordered Wonton Noodle Soup, Salt & Chilli Squid (ah-mazing!!), Saigon Broken Rice, Spring Rolls and fruit salad. Everything was so fresh and tasty, as well as being great value for money. Can't wait to go back to the new location and explore more of the menu - we definitely missed "old" Saigon when it left Northbridge!
