My friends and I had wonderful dinner in here. The dishes for me is a bit like Thai fusion cuisine and the ingredients tasted really matches with each other. I don't like strong coconut flavour in curry, but the coconut taste in green chicken curry just right for me. My friends and I had wonderful dinner in here. Restaurant can fit up to 8 tables. It's quite empty when we arrive, bt tables are reserved. We ordered at 6:10 p.m. The food is served in about 20 minutes. The rice portion is quite small, but the presentation is nice. I would suggest⁣ 1. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 ⁣ 2. I think the green curry tastes good; it's not too strong for me, but my peers think it's a little watery. It's a completely different dish than what we had a few years ago.

This was a great find. The food is different to the average Thai restaurant and excellent quality. Four of us all had different dishes and we all raved about them. The service was good and very friendly and the decor was bright, very clean and welcoming. We will all definitely be back.

Have been twice now and it’s always been an amazing experience. The Singaporean waiter is incredibly nice, knowledgeable and loves a chat (especially about the history of the food served). It’s a small venue with limited seating, so make sure you book ahead if you want an assured seat. Lots of VG, VGN, GF and kid (or as they put it, ‘Tiny Humans’) options. Food is incredible with lots of options, I highly recommend the butterfly pea flower tea, it’s got a lot of health benefits but also comes with a cool surprise😉

My wife and I had a fabulous experience at Scients of Siam. Food was delicious ! We tried almost every starter (the spicy sausages balls and prawns crackers are definitely something you should go for!!!) and I had the drunken noodles, yummy. The owner is very friendly and polite. He will take the time to welcome you and will answer any questions you have. Service was great and professional. Definitely a place that I will recommend and you will see us again 👍🏼

We travel 20mins to eat here. We've eaten here on several occasions and have never been disappointed by the food or service. The best and reasonably priced Thai food in town. Kao soi, chicken penang, all the starters .. so many yummy options to choose from. Book ahead as it is a small restaurant and often books out.

The restaurant is small yet very cosy. There are pictures of Bangkok from years ago on one wall and recent pictures of the same spots on the opposite wall that clearly mark how time has changed the beautiful landscapes. The owner is such a pleasant man, with many stories to tell and very knowledgeable of flavours and experiences one has when eating such rich food. All the entrees and mains we orders were spotless and I will be coming back to try every single item on the menu. The fired rice is to die for and the cold pork entree was a very pleasant surprise!

First visit to try this thai joint and it wasn't really busy as it passed peak hours (and Christmas's Eve). A quick service from the owner (I guess) who was serving another table with a group. He was friendly too. Prior to order, he mentioned all food are cooked in their home style cooking. We ordered pad thai and penang curry. The portions weren't as big as other thai restaurants, but yes the price was cheaper. Flavour wise for penang curry was quite nice but curry thickness was less than we expected. Pad thai was lightly sauced. Well I guess that's how they cook back home as the guy said. Both meals were plated nicely.

Went to the Scents of Siam with friends for a get together. Being more accustomed to other Thai restaurants closer to home we found the serving sizes a bit smaller so I recommend ordering more if you want to share dishes. We chose the massamum and fish curries along with some pad thai and drunken noodles. The flavours were all that we could expect and everything was delicious but we had to order 2 orders of each curry and an additional rice so that we could share the food and flavours among the five of us. Service and timing were great and the boss was very friendly and polite. Recommended for an evening of Thai flavours.

What a magical dining experience in Joondalup. Everything was fresh, unique and made with great heart by the wonderful owners. The pastry of the curry puffs was phenomenal, light, crispy, nothing frozen here. The homemade stuffed sausage entree was a microcosm dining experience on its own. Beef massaman and coconut noodle mains were the perfect pairing of rich and spicy to creamy and zesty. When you tilt the bowls to spoon up every last drop of sauce, you can be assured this was indeed one the finest meals. My only disappointment being it was my first time visiting, despite being in the area for so many years. We will be back again and again.

Had the absolute pleasure of dining in this delightful traditional Thai restaurant last night. The food was absolutely fabulous! So much attention to detail and the flavours were superb. We love Thai food, and probably eat out at Thai restaurants more than any other cuisine type. Discovered this little gem in Joondalup a couple of months ago and have been there 4 times now, each time trying a different main course and starter (and I have tried a few different desserts). I have yet to experience a dish that is anything less than fantastic and without a doubt, the best (and best value) Thai food I have had outside of Bangkok! The service, the host (Dan) and the atmosphere, compliment the food perfectly too and, to top it all - it's BYO without a corkage fee! Please support this amazing gem, you will not be disappointed!

It's been about 8 months since we discovered Scents of Siam and we've been back at least 9 times now, each time trying different, delectable dishes. We have never been even remotely disappointed! Amazing quality food, beautifully presented, at VERY reasonable prices. It's cosy with a relaxing atmosphere and excellent acoustics. Sophisticated music plays gently in the background allowing you to converse comfortably with the other members of your table - even if you are a reasonable size group! A little gem of a Thai restaurant in Joondalup, WA. Dan and Yui create traditional Thai dishes that are a step up from any other Thai restaurant we have tried in the whole of Perth. Honestly the best food in all of perth and you’ll be blown away by how affordable it is. The customer service is amazing, we go there for my brother my birthdays and the owners still recognise and remember us even if it’s been six months. Our Mum's group had the pleasure of having dinner at this lovely little place on Saturday night. I never write reviews but this place really deserved a(nother) write-up. The service is very good - smiling faces, courteous, patient, and genuine willingness to please. Young ladies doing a great job. Well done and thank you :) The owner also came to our table, and every table at some stage through the night, to inquire how our evening was going. What a lovely touch. You rarely see this anymore. The food was so delicious. The homemade sweet thai chilli sauce I could've drank a bucket of. The penang curry was very tasty. The ingredients were fresh and portion sizes perfect. The prices were the most refreshing surprise of the night. Entree and main for under $20? With free corkage. Can't beat that. The restaurant closes at 9.00pm and although we could've stayed for another hour chatting (as we always do) we were more than happy to move on and let the staff get home at a reasonable hour. The value here is second to none when you consider the quality of the food, service, BYO any alcohol - with no corkage!!!, and prices. Outstanding. Its no wonder this small restaurant was full. This is a perfect little place and I am thanking the universe for leading me to it.

Very impressed with both food and service - Dan is an wonderful host and makes the experience most enjoyable. The food is a delight and the prices very reasonable. Given that so many restaurants in the area tend to be diluted "generic Asian fusion", it is a joy to encounter somewhere that focuses on a limited number of dishes that follow in their family tradition. The owner Dan is so enthusiastic about the food and the history of the food and you can see how much effort is put into the food with the complexity of flavours and the presentation. I highly recommend the beef massaman and the fish curry with handrolled noodles. Their curry puffs are so addictive and their son in law eggs are my guilty pleasure. They serve a very instagrammable butterfly pea iced tea which changes colour and tastes amazing!! I seriously hope more people check this place out because it deserves some serious recognition, high quality food, high quality service. One of my favourite places to go.

I think I will not eat anywhere for dinner until I tried Everything in the menu. Both the husband and wife are chefs in their own right with years of experience. They could easily be competing on level field with the likes of Nobu in term of food quality but still value for money. Must try at least once.
