Absolutely delicious! The food was amazing, we ordered the journey with the chefs specials, particular shout out to the scallops. Staff were super accomodating of our time restraints too, timed everything perfectly. Can’t forget the yummy pisco sours too!

Amazing!
Great place for a special event or for a special night out.
The food was delicious. We had 5 dishes and only one of them was "ok", with everything else being delicious.
The service was great! Really friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Marcos.
The place has this amazing decor that makes you feel like you have traveled somewhere. The place is big enough but it feels cozy. And the music is just great Latin track one after the other.
Also, the free valet parking service is a nice extra touch.
Will definitely go again.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely service. Good wine, had the festive menu with wine pairing and enjoyed every single dish.
Fresh food and well made, everything was nicely portioned and cooked perfectly. Would absolutely return, this is a hidden gem!

Uma is a sensational restaurant serving delicious Peruvian food and offering some interesting South American wines.
We had excellent service from Louise, Vanessa, Isabella, and Marco.
As it was our first visit we chose the Journey through Peru menu that offers four courses that provide diners with a sampling of the restaurant's food.
We had two different ceviches with egg yolk bread and a whipped feta and garlic dip for the first course.
I love ceviches, raw fish cooked in lemon sauce, with other ingredients added to enhance the taste.
The second was a ragout of alpaca meat in a celeriac remoulade and potato and braised waygu croquettes.
There was a bit of spice in the croquettes which we liked a lot.
The alpaca had an interesting texture and flavour, a bit like beef but different.
Course three was a creamy seafood rice with a spring salad. The creaminess of the rice, with squid, prawns, clams, and scallops was balanced by the preserved lemon salsa in it and grilled stone fruit in the salad.
Dessert was a rich cream covered sponge cake with raspberry sorbet. Perfect for lovers of rich desserts.
We had a glass each of an Argentinian rose and a Chilean pinot noir. They are well worth trying.
The serves were large and very filling.
Uma accepts major credit cards and there is disabled access.
It offers complimentary valet parking subject to availability and limited to one vehicle per table.
The entire experience was so good that we made another booking for next month.

If you’re looking for something different, Uma should be your go to and it will also become a new favourite for you!
A contemporary twist on Peruvian classics, the dishes are fresh, zesty and full of flavour. The venue itself is beautiful and the team cannot so enough for you

One must ask why isn't Peruvian food more well known for its delicate flavours and depth of ingredients. We sat down as a group of 8 shared multiple dishes of the $75 Chefs choice plus included the Alpaca "spring roll" meal. The seafood dishes such as the prawn and shark fish were so fresh and sauce just Devine. The lamb came off the bone patiently slow cooked and once again the sauce and coriander dressing so fresh and compliments the palate cleanser.
I have to say forgot the drink we had to start although the tones of Peruvian sour was pleasantly different to anything I've tasted.
Found the environment not too noisy, nice space between guests. Some comfortable lighting and staff very knowledgeable and attentive. Each meal they explained as it came out which was all on time.
Highly recommended.

Went for their valentines day offer. It was a beautiful experience. The restaurant is visually stunning and the menu was delicious with perfectly matched wine parings.
We will most certainly be back.

Amazing dining experience. We had the Peruvian dining journey and we absolutely loved all the plates. Perfectly cooked and such a balanced taste, all complementing each other.
The service of this restaurant is excellent. Exceeded all expectations. Definitely going back.
Thank you

I can't believe I did not try this place sooner! With zero experience on Peruvian cuisine I gave this place a go since me and my family stayed a night at Pan Pacific. I have to say, definitely need to try this place out, me and my wife did not disappointed at all. We had a look at the menu and can't decide what to have but our waitress gave us suggestions, It's a meal to share kind of cuisine, not your typical each person have their own entree, main and such which I find its good so that way we can try most of it but we ended up follow their fix price $75 Per person chef recommendation menu. Meals be based from what chef's recommendations what we should have which also includes entree, mains and such but with few extra dishes. All our meals came out spot on, no faults can be found. With fresh ingredients, well presented and balance portions as well. Every dishes was presented what it is which was great. As for customer service, thumbs up for their well trained customer service, not only helped us to decide but to explain what's best for first timer like us and explained to us on the dishes as well. As for deco, we loved it! Feels like we are in South America or in Peru! We definitely will be back again and have already suggested our friends and family to visit this place!
I.
Lovely food and there's lots of it. The restaurant has great ambience and an intimate setting. An extensive wine list completes the rest. Prepare yourself for an unique experience.
A. N.
Deliciously creative menu, 5 star presentation, beautiful ambience, lovely staff and friendly service, 1st two courses came out quickly too, only the mains took a while (30mins) but it must have been an unusually busy night. All in all, beautiful experience. Thank you all.

Hands down the best food we have had the pleasure of discovering. Very fresh, full of flavour, no unnecessary additives to the foods. Very clean and exciting to eat. Each plate had us very excited. The cocktails were well matched to the pallet of the dishes.
Staff were extremely hospitable from the moment we stepped into the front entrance. All their recommendations were absolutely on point and very welcome as it was a bit overwhelming to read the menu with no knowledge of Peruvian dishes.
Please give this place a visit. It will not disappoint.
The atmosphere was also perfectly set to sit bs k and enjoy this food adventure.

The food and the service were amazing. Vanessa was the waitress and she was so friendly and recommended a good side for my partner. Other girl (I don’t remember her name) recommended the desert. Was my partner bday and he had a complimentary so the both were so delicious and it’s made the day more special.
W. W.
Food and service was first class. Bit on the smallish side for portion size but quality could not be faulted. Four of us ordered 6 dishes plus desert each which was ample. Could not be faulted and will 100% be back again very soon!

went with friends for my 50th birthday
the food and service were amazing
highly recommend 10/10

We had the set course menu and it was wonderful. The ceviche was amazing. Also a special mention to the team that was on tonight, our waitress (Isabella), the floor manager and the duty manager at the hotel. I was feeling quite ill that night but they went over and above to make sure I was okay. Brilliant service highly recommended.
W. W.
We had set menu and my god was the food amazing. Both of us work in the hospitality industry for competing venues but this place was really something special. If you want an awesome festival of flavours in your mouth, this is the place to go. Couldn’t fault any dish to be honest though some were better than others ofcourse. Waitress was knowledgeable enough to explain the courses well and drinks were also quite good. Would’ve liked to see some velvet chairs instead to suit the ambiance and venue a little better ;) but overall an amazing experience. Hats off to the chefs.
S. A.
Fantastic evening, excellent great tasting Food.
Wonderful, Friendly, helpful staff and top notch service ensured we had a great evening.
Explained the dishes well and made great recommendation. Some awesome dishes especially Grilled octopus, beef skewers, tortellini. Ceviche Veg was pretty average, too much red chilli.
Must say entree and side dishes portions are on the smaller side but that is expected of a fine dining place. Main courses are substantial though.
Even organised a special birthday plate with alfajor peruvano for us.
one of the nicest restaurants around.
Highly recommended..
A. R. M.
We had a dinner tonight, and we were very impressed, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, staff was very helpful and warm, the service was fantastic, we choose a set menu called "A journey through the flavours of Peru"and the food was, simply put, exceptional! The pisco drinks were amazing too, we had a great experience and UMA totally exceeded our expectations. We will return soon. Thank you!
D. Y.
Firstly, im very impressed with atmosphere.
Secondly, staffs are friendly but seems not fully trained.
We had the valentine special courses which were great and cocktail included was beauty but there were few mistakes and wasnt happy with dessert however, main dishes were perfectly cooked and tasty! Thanks

Went to Uma’s last night, as we got a gift card for our anniversary from our daughter. The service was great, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who helped us with our menu choice, we had the food adventure menu, and every dish we tasted was fresh and delicious, we especially loved the grilled octopus! that was the best octopus we have ever had! We thought we would have got a complimentary anniversary wish written on our dessert plate, or something, as they kept asking what we were celebrating, they asked when we booked and when we got there, but didn’t get acknowledged which was
disappointing. Anyhow apart from that we had a very nice dinner and would definitely return.
J. L.
We were running late and arrived a little frazzled from the day. Immediately Louise put us at ease and made us feel so welcome. Our booking was promptly located and we were shown our table.
We started with a Classic Pisco Sour and that set the tone for the rest of the evening!
We went down the a la carte route and followed the recommendations of our waitress and let me tell you something... We were in for a journey!
The tables favourite were the Wagyu rump skewers(we ordered this twice), Shark Bay Ceviche(paired with prosecco = heaven) & surprisingly the Grilled Octopus(we had one very fussy eater with us).
I would say the only thing that was not to my taste was the bread.
The service was gentle, non-intrusive & prompt! You could tell that the restaurant was understaffed but that is part and parcel of every venue in our great city at the moment. Even though that was the case Louise came to check on us even if she was flat out making us feel really cared for.
Thank You Team UMA! We will be back!

Celebrated better half birthday 27 Jan. Good food. Staff service excellent and friendly from hotel concierge and valet parking to the restaurant staff who were friendly and showed good knowledge of the food and wine. My wife liked all, bar one, of the paired wine to the tasting menu. The tasting menu is a good way of getting to know the ala carte menu and what you may like to have when you return just don’t expect it to be large portions that you would expect ordering ala carte.
S. H.
Amazing and romantic place for dinner. The food was great but overpriced for the small portions we had. The staff there were incredible, especially Nicholas
H. W.
We enjoyed the meal, had paired wines and had to alert the waiter to get the wine 3 out of the 4 times, one of them was after I've finished the meal. Food was ok, as we had the chefs menu we had a dish we would not typically order (the risotto type dish) so have to take that into account, but would order 1 of the 4 courses again which was the entrees set - cerviches was incredible however and cocktails fabulous, so would return for those.
M. Y.
Uma restaurant at Pan Pacific. We had the Chef's selection at $65 per person. All dishes are for sharing, fusion and modern cuisine, beautiful presentation on the plates and my favourite were the ceviches - so fresh. Great service as well. Thank you for the delicate thought for my birthday!
H.
I came out for dinner with friends and overall the food was really amazinggg and the service was amazing. The service from Martina was really top class couldn’t ask for a better helpful service. The experience of the food and the explanations of the food made the experience really special. Really good place to have a meaningful dinner!

Having booked a table for two a few months ago we were really looking forward to finally trying Uma.
Maybe our expectations were too high but I feel that Uma did not meet the mark on Saturday night.
Don't get me wrong, the food is very good. Unfortunately the service and experience in general left a lot to be desired.
The degustation / dining journey was recommended by our waitress which we ended up opting for, along with the matching wines. However, we were informed that one of the items, the alpaca, was not available as they kitchen had run out. I find this difficult to get my head around - how does the kitchen run out of a dish that is on their degustation menu?
Our first course came and we hadn't yet been served our matching wines. We waited for a few minutes was able to meet the eye of our waitress who immediately scurried off to get the wine. Admittedly she was very apologetic when she returned however service did not really improve very much after this point.
Dessert arrived with a plonk on the table and no description from the waiter but it clearly did not look like what was listed on the menu. While I tried to wave down a waiter my partner decided to tuck in and confirmed it was not the right menu. When a waitress finally came over I asked her to confirm what it was that we were offered and she asked if we had ordered it - to which I said no. She then scurried off to the kitchen and when she came back told us that they had run out of the degustation dessert! She then also proceeded to tell the table next to us the same thing. Only to return 2 minutes later carrying a dish of the right dessert!
We were so full that whilst we tried the correct dish we couldn't eat all of it!
I feel that Uma is trying to be something that it clearly can't fully deliver...yet. Which is unfortunate given the food is excellent.
P. S.
Amazing night. From the moment we walked in the entrance to the hotel the staff who greeted us were excited for us to be dining at uma, we were intrigued. Service was fantastic, the best we'd had in Perth in a long time. The food was delicious and the pisco sours were pretty damn good too. Thanks so much to the staff and the restaurant, very well done
M. G.
Amazing food! The Peruvian Ceviche was delicious, and so was the grilled rump, salad and fried yucas. The chicha morada was an exotic and refreshing drink and the taste was completely unexpected. The alfajor peruano was the best dessert to finish a great dining experience. Will definitely eat here again!
D. R.
Had a beautifully presented and delicious fresh Peruvian meal with a pisco sour. Ceviche selection a must try. Highlight was the pork (braised then crumbed and fried). Dining at Uma brought me back to when I was traveling in Peru. No cuy on the menu but that's totally fine by me! The chef bringing the dish out to the table was a really nice touch. Would be back again
M. S.
What an experience from start to finish! Mood lighting with beautiful back drops and relaxed atmosphere. Started off with the Uma specially a spritz. DELISH!
The head of house paired our red wine, we had the chefs menu and it did not disappointment.
My favourite were the kebabs and sweet potato puree, my partners the prawn civeche (loved as well). We will be back!!
C. A. A.
We were highly impressed and satisfied (but left wanting for more 🤣). Peruvian cuisine is now on top of our list as Chef Alejandro Saravia took us to Peru with his sophisticated dishes. All the ones that we tried were ABSOLUTELY stunning, so fresh and has punchy flavours. It is very hard to pick a favourite and would DEFINETELY go back to UMA.
We also loved the ambience and great service from Helen and her team, it was the perfect place to dine in with our wee bub for my 30th.
Muchas Gracias UMA.

Our selection of dishes from UMA Pan Pacific Perth’s “Journey” menu, where all dishes except for the passionfruit sorbet (on the last pic) are shared in groups of four people at aud68 per person. Specifically, as a group of 18, for mains: the servers brought out 5 x chicken, 4 x steak, 6 x potatoes, 6 x mixed vegetables for us to share.
The standouts were the chicken with aji mirasol jus, steak and coffee salt baked potatoes. Service was excellent (however, food took quite a while to arrive as we were a big group of 18) and complimentary valet parking was included with the reservation.
As I don’t eat the two raw fish ceviche dishes, mine was substituted with a vegetable ceviche dish (didn’t like this at all - weird mix of seaweed, cucumber, honeydew and some cheesy sauce concoction). Desserts - found the passionfruit sorbet too sweet. The Pisco caramel pudding with drunken currants and lemon rinds was interesting though in a weird way - pudding was very dense and thick. The texture’s almost like a bread pudding. Haven’t had Peruvian food before so no point of reference.
Personally didn’t think it was a good value “journey” menu but the service and free valet parking made up for this.
P.S if I ever visit again, I’ll opt for ala carte instead. The brioche bread and doughnuts I’ve been eyeing were sadly not included in this ‘journey’ menu. Also personally hate when raw meat or seafood is substituted with vegetables instead as I love meat and seafood. Is it really too much to ask for these to be cooked instead for those not eating raw food?

Birthday dinner with 40 people and the quality of the food was incredible and the staff were beyond all expectations.
Could not have picked a better place for birthday celebrations. Thank you for making our night so special
A. B.
Delicious, Peruvian cuisine. It is on the expensive side, but all the food was amazing, staff were very friendly and helpful. The sweet potato and pumpkin doughnuts are INCREDIBLE.
M. O.
Just a simply superb experience. Uma is a contemporary take on Peruvian food. The food was wonderful, the service excellent. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. They explained the dishes for us and made spot-on recommendations. They went over and above to make sure we had a wonderful evening. They knew it was a special occasion, so they prepared a special customized desert for us. We went al la carte this time, but want to try the Journey Through Peru menu next time. In my opinion, Uma is one of the finest restaurants in Perth. Muchas gracias amigas por una buena comida!
M. C.
Wonderful food and lovely service by Leslie. We had an amazing time and thank you so much for making a special night even more magical.
J. W.
Valet service is a fantastic offer. We ordered scallop, baramundi, potato dumpling and alpaca ribs. Thank you, it was a fascinating experience! Food is delicious!
M. O.
Beautiful, vibrant and fresh are a few words that spring to mind. Lovely to try the flavours of Peru in our own city. Great tasting menu, perfect to share with friends. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly - thank you for an amazing experience 🙌🏼
J.
Great place for a late dinner service. We came had a 9:30pm booking, there was a bit of a hiccup and we didn't get our food or drinks until about 10pm. But everything was sensational and packed full of flavour. We had the 4 course degustation and can't fault a single dish served.
H. A.
I’m editing this as I went back and the steak was perfect! As always service was amazing, from when we were seated and throughout the meal the staff were attentive but not overbearing. Great vibe, would go back for another steak!
B. N.
Spicy, full flavour food. The smaller shared plates allow a small group to share an amazing variety of delicious dishes. Well worth a visit for a special meal with family.
M. P.
Delicious food! The crispy chicken dish was spectacular.
Highly recommend leaving room for the Pisco Sour Sorbet 😍
T. S.
Great atmosphere and food. Helpful and friendly staff made the experience more enjoyable. When you make a reservation you currently get valet parking included.
F. H.
Amazing experience!
The Good!
> The Service was fantastic. Friendly, fast and informative. Helen and the team went above and beyond to tell us about each delicious dish!
> The drinks, as they say, when in Rome! A Pisco Sour here is a MUST have! One of my absolute favourite cocktails and made perfectly by the UMA team.
> The food! WOW! Just packed full of flavour with everything cooked to perfection! I couldn’t get enough and ended up walking out the fullest I have felt in a long time!! I love that Uma source their meats and fresh product from some amazing local companies like Gingin beef.
> The price, everything at Uma was WOAH from go. This felt like a straight up fine dining 5 star restaurant but is priced SO fairly. Highly recommend a visit and the “feed me” set menu option!
The bad:
No bad! It’s all love for this amazing Perth restaurant!
Z. B.
The food was delicious! Went to Uma for my anniversary. I had the 4 course meal & every course was packed full of flavour! Will bring all my friends next time. 😁 They were sweet and gave us extra dessert as congratulations 😊
m. o.
Well thought of presentation and mix of flavours. The chicken was probably the least of my favorite but still pretty good. Tried the UMA journey this time.
E. G.
Best food we ever had in Perth. We really enjoyed our time over there.
D. S.
Not a single thing I could fault, but with a near perfect evening, why would I look for any flaws? Staff were lovely, very polite and friendly, knowledge of the menu was amazing, and the food was brilliant! Outstanding evening all round
M. K.
We had a night out and ordered the “Journey Menu”. It was utterly delightful and well balanced. There were many sharing dishes including ceviche both traditional and modern style. There was a varied presentation of different tastes and we were not disappointed. The staff did not have any issues with some of our dietary restrictions.
One of the strengths of Peruvian cuisine is the variety. It is very produce driven. The different cultures within Peruvian cuisine (including Japanese) lends itself to many different styles of cooking meaning that your meals will not feel the same. We could see the chefs different flourishes and this is definitely food you can only get in a large restaurant and would be difficult to replicate at home.
We had no complaints regarding the wait staff. They were knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. They managed to thread the difference between over intrusiveness and indifference. We found them friendly and easy to access.
The dining room with its hard flooring is not so traditional “fine dining” but when it fills up and the sun goes down it does have a good atmosphere. Our booking was quite early and you may be prone to sharing with families with young children. The dining room however was big enough so that you didn’t feel like you are crammed together.
I think the menu holds enough variety and different tastes and textures that we will be back sooner rather than later. I personally thought that given what we had it represented good value.
I wish Uma Restaurant and Alejandro Saravia every success.
J. J.
One of the best dining experiences I've had. The food is beautiful, tasty and they cater for vegetarians. Staff are very friendly and so helpful. Definitely order dessert and drinks! A lovely romantic night out.
E. K.
Had a feast with my friends on thursday night and appreciated the service a lot. Thanks to Martina, I had a good night and i would definitey recommend this restaraunt.

[BANANA BREAD?]
Wonderful restaurant. Really love the entree. The mains are also good. It's just the desert, which was described as a three milk soaked sponge cake. But it tastes exactly like banana bread to us.
K. B.
We had high expectations. Sadly while the food was largely good, service was lacking and portion size was small. We arrived a few minutes prior to our booking time and was promptly seated. Our menus and water were speedily delivered and drink orders subsequently taken. Shortly after we order the chefs menu. It wasn’t until our mains arrived that our drinks arrived.
The entree of cerviche and bread was delicious and a nice fresh taste. The lamb shoulder main was the highlight but the two small beef ribs to accompany it were far from enough to make a meal of it. The tres leche cake was the worst example I have ever had of this typically moist cake. It was dry and needed ever spoonful of ice cream to make it palatable. We both left hungry and only ordered a single drink because we couldn’t get any service attention to order a second!
B. J.
More of a 3.5 out of 5.
The cocktails were great. The raw fish dish was great. The service was great. It’s a really nice venue / decor / music. And the prices are reasonable.
Everything was great except... probably one of the most important parts of a Peruvian meal: roasting the food over wood fire coals. Without that... what is it?
I may be wrong, & I’m happy to be corrected, & will remove / amend my review if I am wrong. But I know what food tastes like when it is fresh / raw.... and then cooked using wood-fire coals.
The beef skewers & potatoes we had actually tasted like they were pre-cooked earlier in the day, or even the day before, & then re-heated. The skewers had been put on some sort of grill... but I think it was gas. You can’t achieve an authentic taste in this way.
I must add that the spices on the meat were exceptionally well done, & the presentation was great as well.
W. L.
Absolutely amazing! We had the set menu and each dish was delivered to perfection. First time trying Peruvian and couldn't fault it. Everything just tasted fresh from the ceviche, octopus, trout, salad all the way to the fruits on the desert. Will be back for sure.
L. S.
First time last night at UMA. Decided to go to UMA's as it promotes Western Australian seafood and produce and had awesome reviews. This little gem of a restaurant did not disappoint. We had the $69 set menu. That fresh made brioche bun with whipped feta and roasted garlic - oh my goodness, just delicious. The first course Shark Bay fish ceviche was outstanding. Same with the Treeton farm beef rump skewers. The potato puree - I kept scraping the plate to get every last drop of it. The Shark Bay fish and cuttlefish in Peruvian creamy sauce matched perfectly with the Solterito Salad. By this stage we were well and truly satisfied. We had desert to go and managed to eat the sorbet and raspberry sauce however found the milk soaked sponge cake just too heavy. I'm sure if we had not filled up on the other dishes we may have eaten more. All in all, a great evening with exceptional service, food and the ambience. Total compliments to the Chef and all the staff. We will definitely be back. Lyn and Pete.
A. G.
Uma's food and drinks were delightful. From start to finish, all dishes were close to perfection. We had all our dishes to share among 6 people and the opinion across the group was exactly the same. These guys are really doing it great. The service was super friendly and knowledgeable which helped us a lot to make our selection.
L. G.
Can't recommend enough. Food was one of the most unique experiences I've had in years. Ceviche was glorious, and the understated naming of the beef skewers belies the melt in your mouth texture and rich palette of flavour.
Do this for an anniversary or date night and you won't be disappointed.
Lastly, have a cocktail for the first course then (if you're a red drinker) definitely buy a bottle of the Ventisquero Pinot Noir. It was not only the best Pinot I've had for years, but also a fresh complement to the dishes that followed.
E. P.
Went there for a chef's choice dinner for two (Covid-19 menu)
In all honesty, one of the best meals we've had in Perth for a while now!
What a refreshing, well constructed dishes we got served!
The prawns ceviche was OMG!!! Better than all the oysters I've ever eaten.
Was so fresh and every mouthful tasted like a gift from the ocean.
All the other remaining dishes were top notch too. I highly recommend to anyone living in Perth to go in and treat themselves with some Peruvian food.
M. W.
Did not know that it's in the Covid "Green Zone" at Pan Pacific.
No list of beers, staff got it wrong 3 times, in the meantime no wine for my wife.
Ordered food only to be told that sides had sold out by 6:30 pm.
The food was mega hot.
I like hot But this should have come with a warning.
Staff were caring and very attentive.
Management response to food issues was excellent.
Go for a great time with inavative food and wine.
E. F.
We really enjoy visiting Bar Uma when we're in town, it's such a nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. Lhyanna is especially accommodating and goes above and beyond.
We've visited a few times and will certainly keep coming back.
B. I.
Great flavours! We had the fixed menu/chef's selection and there was a lot of food & all quite delicious. But I'd especially like to point out the incredible cured trout ceviche with the passionfruit sauce (Tiradito de Trucha)...I think I'll continue to dream about that one. And the seafood fried rice (Chaufa de Mariscos) just really hit the spot!
The decor is also really nice - definitely a good vibe. I had never heard of Uma. I was surprised with the trip there for my birthday. This place should be getting more attention. Perhaps a bit hidden by being inside the hotel?
C. P.
My partner and I attended Uma Restaurant for our 5 year anniversary and were absolutely astounded by the amazing service and exquisite dishes. Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough, it is truly a hidden gem of Perth. I seriously recommend the signature cocktail (proceed with caution however, as a quiet dinner might turn into a big night very quickly 😉). We will definitely be returning soon!
G. T.
Amazing food and service. We felt as if we were the only ones in the place. The tastes were amazing and decent portions too. We went with the chef's choice menu and were not disappointed. Each dish was explained as to its contents and flavour. Certainly want to go back.
L. A.
Would recommend. Friendly service, food was delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes all of which could not be faulted. Quick service and lovely cocktails. We will be back :)
A. M.
DELICIOUS PISCO SOURS! Loved them! They were very tasty and not too strong, a little pricey but nothing out of ordinary for a hotel in the city. Give them a try!
D. W.
Can't believe I've never heard of this place before. Ok, the flooring is a little outdated but at the end of the day, I'm there for the food and service, and I can't fault either. Great flavours, good sized portions with attentive service. Great to have something a little different in Perth. Highly recommended.
B. F.
A beautiful dining experience with delicious food and drinks, Uma is a small taste of Peru that brings something truly unique to Perth. The rump cap skewers are sensational and the care and presentation of all the dishes was divine. Ellen was a wonderful host who made us feel welcome and ensured we enjoyed our experience from the moment we walked in. Will definitely be back when the a la carte menu returns!
K. S.
We made a reservation for 15, for Christmas eve, and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly!
Every item we ordered was succulent and wonderful! Although the prices were quite high, having a taste of Peruvian cuisine was the highlight of the evening and something worth paying for. The servers explained what each dish was about and how to eat them, as they were served on the table. This was a good sign that they knew what they were doing and wanted everyone to have a good and fulfilling meal.
This well rated restaurant deserves its reputation. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
M. J. S.
My partner and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at UMA Perth, the customer service was exceptional, staff were so friendly& accomodating. The food was incredible with amazing flavours, great portion size! A special anniversary dessert was provided which was a beautiful surprise! Will definitely be coming back & telling our family & friends :)

Lovely experience! I booked a meal at Uma for my husband's birthday and we both really enjoyed it. We sat facing the hotel swimming pool and sunset which was an added bonus. As we weren't familiar with Peruvian cuisine we went for the tasting menu which was really good value. There was plenty of variety in the dishes with a bit of an emphasis on fish. The ceviche appetizers were delicious but probably not for you if you aren't a fan of smoked salmon type dishes/sushi as it's raw fish marinated in oils/vinegars/other flavours. There are plenty of meat or veggie options on the menu too though if this isn't your thing. Dessert was a highlight - a sort of creme caramel (but thicker and more delicious!) and the most exquisite melt in your mouth caramel-filled shortbread biscuits. Food aside, the decor in the restaurant is very pleasant, and the service was spot on - very helpful and friendly while still maintaining the professionalism you'd expect from a nice restaurant such as this. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

Wasn't wow'd by the chefs menu. For $75, would have expected better quality of food. The fish ceviche for starters was passable, the octopus was nice. The trout for mains was a fave but the chicken was ok. The meringue with fruits for dessert was nice if you like meringue. The salad and potatoes (thought we were going to get yucca but instead got potatoes) were ok. Overall, I'm not sure how authentic the food is (even if fusioned) and defo not worth the price. Wouldn't come back for anything other than the trout fish.

First time having Peruvian cuisine in Perth. Beautiful open space design. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely staffs. Our group of 18 tried the Journey Menu, absolutely loved every dish, cerviche to beef rump cap to the 8 hour slow cooked pork belly, all beautifully cooked and well presented.

A lovey night. Great food with really diverse, different flavors. We had a nice table off to the side so didn't feel crowded and unlike some establishments we have been to lately it wasn't so noisy we could not hear each other. Great décor not too fancy or too casual. Highly recommend.

Very friendly service, excellent food. Every ingredient was carefully selected, prepared and presented on our plates. We had a warm welcome by Chef Alejandro where he personally explained his recipes to us, even sent us home with a printed copy of his recipe and some special Peruvian chilli. One of the best dining experience we've ever had.
E. d. S.
We had the Peruvian menu, it's served like tapas. The food was tasty and different, very Japanese like, as we discovered, Peru has much influence from Japan. But I found the quantity very small, each little plate to share between three people. Specially when alcohol was served. We were still very hungry when the tapas ended. Staff was friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them! In summary, the food was tasty, but small, so eat at home first! Disappointing as the price is high! For taste, I'd give it 4 stars, but being still hungry after a very expensive dinner, it earned 3 stars only.

Don't be deceived by the daggy looking pics posted by reviewers - it's the lighting. The food is exciting, different and delicious. It was a full house yet service levels were not impaired. They took the time to care for our preferences.

Fantastic night. First night reopening, 5:30pm sitting so service was pretty rusty in places but the food was bang on. Miss 10 loved it as well - not normally somewhere we would dine as a family but a last minute change was accommodated easily. Best eye fillet I’ve had in a long time, full of flavour, amazing sauce.

Sensational food and great service . Worth a visit .

Everything was on point from the service to the food. Good to know that Uma does not charge cakeage, highly recommend people to celebrate special occasion at this restaurant. Highly attentive service, every request was met beyond our expectations. Will definitely be back to try out other dishes.

Went on a date with my partner and had the chefs selection for $70pp. Ceviche was ok, skewers and alpaca next level.
For the price I would have liked a little bit more on the plate. The flavours were spot on in every dish.
Drinks - definitely One of the better espresso martini’s we have had. Pisco sour is always a goer when dining at a Peruvian restaurant.
K. M.
UMA came recommended by a friend and I also read all the 5-star reviews so perhaps my expectations were too high, but I found the food very underwhelming. We had the chef's choice menu and every dish was average - nothing was WOW unfortunately. Won't be going back.
I. B.
Having never tried Peruvian food before we decided to go for the four course set menu which also included a cocktail. The food was fantastic, some of the tastiest we have experienced. We were served by friendly and very attentive staff. Great evening out in lovely restaurant. Highly recommended.
M. H.
The food was generally quite nice but it was let down by the majority of the service staff who seemed friendly enough but didn't know what was going on with the food or the paired wines. The only exception was the young lady who seemed to be the maitre d' and did a good job.
A.
Really cool date place. From arrival you get excellent complimentary valet service from Pan Pacific (only if you reserve a booming through Uma and not other sites). Decor is very nice and themed well. The pisco sour cocktail from our waitress was a good recommendation, but we were kept a little waiting for food service although other staff came to apologise profusely and never let us down after the early and only misstep. Service was excellent from the staff who look like they really enjoy being there and made great recommendations (Melissa) throughout. Portions were on the smaller end but we ordered enough to be very full. Don't skip the tres leches dessert! Thanks
J. P.
The food was incredible! Amazing flavours, we enjoyed every bit of it... attractive restaurant with low lighting, would definitely recommend

We went to Uma to try their lunch special as part of Good Food Month. It was a delight.
The Lunch menu has just the right number of options for two people to try one of everything - so we did. The food was fantastic, each dish was delicious and made up of fresh ingredients.
The Pisco Sours were amazing, as good as the ones we had in Peru.
We couldn't have felt more welcome or cared for by the staff, who were friendly and knowledgeable.
M. F.
Could not fault the restaurant at all, the food provided was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were spot on and the dishes were bursting with an amazing array of flavour. The staff there were very friendly and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Would happily recommend to anyone
t.
Good value high quality Peruvian degustation. Valet parking as well with a reservation.
F. T.
It's reputation is less than the actual reality until you dine and then you see why this venue is exceptional. A culinary journey, impeccable service, cocktails, ambience, decor, OMG i loved it. And next is to stay and relish in a hotel where as a guest you feel every bit special. Forget the Ritz, uma in pan pacific sets the benchmark others wish they could only reach.
D. W.
Booked for 2 on a Friday night. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Food was beautiful. Fish, Beef Fillet and Chicken dishes were delicious. Not expensive either particularly considering the quality. Will definitely be back and will also be recommending to friends.
E. S. C.
Exciting new menu - grilled octopus was cooked to perfection and the Chaufa de Mariscos is a must try. Service was top notch. Thank you Diego for your excellent service ✌️
K. H.
We had a fabulous time at Uma celebrating a family birthday. The food was delicious, different and surprisingly affordable. The tasting journey menu is super fun - loved the beef skewers and ceviche, and the pan de yemas are to die for! Excellent wine list and dangerously good pisco sours too. Our waitress Camilla was very knowledgeable and friendly. Top service! We also really appreciated the free valet parking, it made for an easy, hassle-free trip into the CBD. Could not recommend Uma more for a special occasion or just a casual dinner. We will return!
B. G.
The 5 course dinner was amazing. My friend doesnt eat seafood & they were able to accommodate. Service was great & the red wine from South America was delish. Hope to be back one day.
R. C.
Food was delightful and reasonably priced given the venue & quality. They dealt very well with my nut allergy so I was at ease to enjoy the dining experience

Well that was unexpected! We had no idea what to expect at a "Peruvian" restaurant in CBD hotel. But wow are we glad we tried it! Every dish, from the AmberJack cerviche to the caramel sauced pudding with drunken currents was beautiful to look at and better to taste. We had the "feed me" menu where the chef plied us with enough tasty morsels to leave with a desire to return again soon.
Staff were outstanding. Every team member spoke with pride and passion about the cuisine and the restaurant.
Congratulations to whoever is managing this business.
M. K.
We decide to try Uma located in the Pan Pacific hotel. It's my 2nd time that I have Peruvian cuisine. It did not disappoint me.
The waitress greets us at the entrance of the restaurant. She showed us to our table, and we have a different waitress that came and serve us, and she is Peruvian!
She is very knowledgeable about the cuisine. She suggested to us what to order on our menu. That took the weight and decision away from us; it made our ordering much smoother.
Our highlight of the meal was the Peruvian ceviche, steak and also the coffee flavour potato.
When the food came, we were impressed by the entree and also the mains. We were less impressed with the dessert. We ordered the doughnut; it was a bit too dense for my liking.
It's opened up my tastebuds to try different cuisine. Peruvian cuisine uses a lot of quinoa; I've tried quinoa puree and quinoa ice cream. I do like it.

I have eaten at Uma Perth several times and each time I have attended the food has been impeccable.
My first visit came before their grand opening, and even though the venue had been open mere days, the staff knew their stuff, were aware of the providence of the food and the produce and the dining room ran well.
Uma is possibly the best value restaurant in Perth with their 4-course chef's feed me option not only incredible value but gives punters the chance to try things they would otherwise skip.
So on to my last visit just yesterday. I had been asked by a rep from the distribution company that represents my business, who was here on business if I wanted to join him for dinner. It had been a pretty fantastic day already, so I said yes and arranged to pick him up later that day.
I picked him up from his hotel and asked he what he felt for. His answer was Steak. Now there are a few decent steak places in Perth however I have always found the beef that has been served at Uma to be top notch. On one of my previous visits, I questioned my waitstaff as to where the chef gets their beef because it was spectacular. She quickly told me that the beef was 100% grass fed beef from Gingin that was dry aged for 55 days minimum. So naturally when he suggested steak, I knew just the place.
So, we arrived on a bustling Friday night to a very busy dining room. Helen, the manager who had introduced herself on one of my other visits greeted me warmly and when I ask her if she could fit us in (knowing i didn’t have a booking) she looked over her booking schedule and said that it wouldn’t be a problem. We had a quick drink in the sports bar while watching the end of the rugby league semi final and then over we went to be seated.
Helen quickly seated us and introduced us to our lovely waiter who operated with an efficiency and precision of a well-trained hospitality worker and with our drink order underway for a round of Pisco sour's we were looking over the menu.
On the feed me menu that night, our waiter explained that the two ceviche dishes were the amberjack and the sea mullet. The second course was the Fremantle octopus and the chicharron de pollo with the rib eye steak with yuquita (Cassava chips) and finally the dessert which was Peruvian pudding.
My guest was amazed that the entire set menu was only $65 a head as a similar meal in Sydney would be $99 or more. He was even more surprised when each course was served. I enjoyed watching his reaction and wonderment (a reaction I had come to expect whenever I brought someone new to the venue). He marveled at the kaleidoscope of flavors and textures and how wonderfully balanced and seasoned every part of every dish was. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the comfortable dining room and the wonderfully capable staff that bustled about their business without being too presence or noticeable.
Simply put the entire experience that is a meal at Uma is simply unrivaled in Perth currently. The combination of skill, flavor, finesse in the kitchen, attention to detail in front of house all admirably lead by Helen has no match currently and it would take a mighty effort to knock Uma off the pedestal on which it currently resides.
Uma - my go to when i want a fantastic meal, to celebrate, on a date, or simply because I deserve a treat. Well done to the team - you have a fantastic offering and venue and I cant wait to come back again.
V. M.
Nice and delicious taste. Very nice atmosphere
H. S.
Pricey and interesting food you probably haven't had before. The banquet was well rounded and the only thing not enjoyable was whatever the salad was if you don't like raw fish however choose something other than the banquet. The meat selections were exotic and delicious.
A. K.
One of the best restaurant in Perth.
What an amazing food experience and the staff are amazing too. Very friendly and kind one of the best services I've experienced. And as far as the food goes, well all I can say is that you must experience it to know.
Delicious food, Amazing service, and cool music! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you
J. F.
Delicious food and not your typical cuisine. Very close to fine dining but without the price tag. Highly recommend.
R. A.
Terrific variety of local produce combined in a unique Peruvian style.
R. R.
Food is AMAZING and service is perfect! The menu is so different, we ordered about 7 dishes and they were all full of flavour and different to anything we had in Perth. Helen the manager is so friendly and made sure we’re enjoying our time. Definetly coming back.
S. M.
Love Uma! Staff are alway so polite, attentive and love wherr they work. Great menu of Peruvian dishes with alpaca but also modern ceviche fish dishes that are accessible to everyone, not just the adventurous. We will continue to return.
S. M.
Food and service was outstanding. They even replaced a meat dish on the set menu for a vegetarian in our party, at no extra charge. Not too loud so easy enough to talk.
H. M.
I enjoyed a lovely meal at Uma. All the food was delicious, but I paricularly enjoyed the Alpaca dumplings, potato dumplings and the prawn cerviche. Excellent service by all staff, but in particular Gustov. Highly recommend.
C.
A breath of fresh air for the Perth food scene. Peruvian cuisine innately combines so many food cultures and when executed as well as at Uma, it’s hard to rate this any less than a well deserved five stars. Highlights included the ceviche menu and the five spice chicharrón. Even the ‘seasonal vegetables had extra attention to detail. Paired with the solid drinks list and complementary valet parking - it made the experience more memorable for us and a worthy recommendation to like minded friends.

Delicious food and great service couldn't be happier with our experience
S. H.
Alejandro has brought Peru to Perth in fine style in the ambient, cool toned and spacious interior of Uma, tucked in the back of the Pan Pacific. The "Uma Journey" set menu was a well-priced tour through the best offerings and was complemented by a simple, robust wine list. The food is all locally sourced, except where the flavor could only be imported from Peru. Tip: try the Pisco Sour. Highlight: the traditional cerviche. You might hesitate to go to a restaurant in a hotel. Do not make this mistake - get there before it is impossible to get a booking.
L. F.
Really enjoyed everything!! My favourites were the ceviche, anticuchos, scallops and papas a la huancaina! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone :)

Reminisced trip of family member to Peru a while ago while enjoying delicious sharing plates. Great atmosphere, beautiful ding experience!
P. O.
Fantastic introduction to Peruvian food !! The ceviche was sooo good, pisco sours eye wateringly good, quinoa iceceeam who'd have thought. Restaurant has great vibe, wonderful interior tones & the staff are lovely professional & warm. The value is pretty good & we had a great night. Go there, its a great new restaurant in Perth.
A. C.
I have thought long and hard before leaving this review as a Peruvian I want to support and encourage for more Peruvian cuisine to make it's way here! but I have to be honest about this one. I have been waiting for the longest time for a Peruvian restaurant to open up so when I found this place by accident on google I was OVER THE FREAKING MOON! So hubby and I go there yesterday so very excited knowing it wouldn't be traditional Peruvian but expecting somewhat of a resemblance in flavors. We get there and get Pisco sours which were delightful. We get the anticuchos and they are rump steak, chef Alejandro if you see this CHANGE this please !!! I know it can be intimidating to introduce this sort of thing to another culture but traditionally anticuchos are made from cow heart and I am pretty confident that people would be keen to at least try it! . Long story short I feel like they are giving it a good try but it needs to be more true to Peruvian flavors. Great friendly staff and good service.
( Peruvian here so will be a little more of a tough critic)
B. M.
Dined for their special Australia Day dinner. 5 courses with wine. Was absolutely delicious!!

Best meal I've had in Perth in a very long time; dangerously good pisco sours and service was certainly better than what we usually get in Perth. Thanks for a wonderful night. The food was divine.

Went for the Uma Journey and wasn't let down. Dishes throughout the night were refreshing and exciting. Sophie's engagement and customer service was also outstanding.

We been to Uma and it was fantastic! Food and more importantly the service, Monika looked after us from the minute we walked in. We absolutely thoroughly recommend Uma.

The staff are amazing, the ambience is beautiful and a great location for formal dining experience. Didn't score the restaurant 5 points because the valet parking, included in the experience, is no longer provided because of Covid19

We had the most amazing service from the moment we walked in the door and we were tended to the entire time we were there never had to look for service. The food was absolutely amazing by far the best food I have had and when they found out we had just married the even brought out a congratulations dessert plate for us the servers had all the knowledge of the entire menu and background for which parts of the country and style that it was.

Shared the feed me menu with the wine pairing. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Not a lot of time between courses but wasn't too much of a problem
Q. H.
The service was very good, table space was good, the food was well balanced, tasty and although the 6 course had small portions by the time the final dessert came we were both satisfied and pleasantly full.
B. F.
Decent start to the evening with quality served up early, but you can't leave a table of five waiting 75 mins for the last dish on a set menu. Just ruined it.
C.
Exceptional. The food is full of flavour and of high quality - the chef/s are obviously very talented. Thank you to Helen, Sophie and Melissa for the amazing service too.
