Great steak sandwich (on Turkish bread) and Narry burger. Mountains of perfectly cooked chips with both. Service was fast and friendly and the old pub was comfortable and quiet, even though it's on a major intersection.

We went at a friend's recommendation... Suffice to say we shan't be heeding their suggestions in future.. My compliments to the chef.... For having the unmitigated gall to pass that steak off as food... "Rump" steak that was about as thick as a standard slice of toast... At my guess his/her near sighted butcher damn near missed the cow completely... My partner's was tough and inedible (she prefers hers well done) and mine (medium rare) wasn't much better.... I have had worse meals..... But not very often.... The 4 stars are for the bar staff..

So having spent a week in the area and frequented the pub several times, i have no hesitation in recommending the oub grub. Twice a had a great steak and ribs. Great cold beer. Most staff were great but a few of the staff need toearn how to sme and communicate. Its not that hard.

Thanks to the staff at the Narry who arranged takeaway meals for me whilst I was staying at the Heritage Motel, they were busy but accommodated my requests. My brother had a small parcel to drop to my motel room but I wasn't awake so the bar staff held the gift until next morning for me. Bless!

Atmosphere was awesome! Such a character pub, food was beautiful too! Asked for a medium rare steak and it came out more like medium but it was still flavoursome and great coupled with the garlic prawns. The lemon crusted fish was very tasty, texture was a little off-putting towards the end as it was kinda slimy but flavour was still unreal. Can tell they use instant potato but it was still delicious. I personally like the instant taste better. Lamb shanks, cannot fault. Pork belly, nice and crispy, also couldn't fault. Will definitely be back!!

Myself and a couple of friends went to this place for something different. The pub has lost its reputation as a bikie pub. The atmosphere was cosy and warm. Plenty of people and a long wait for food. My friends were quite happy with their meals , but sadly I was not. I had the ribs, yes the meat was tender and fell off the bone but the bourban sauce that it was coated in was way to sweet. The portion size of our meals was average but the desserts were great portion size and price. I had the sticky date pudding, and would recommend it to everyone. Saturday night is karaoke night much to my friends delight. So we stayed on outside the pub and everybody had a good time. As usual you have about 3 or 4 people that can sing and the rest ,well what can I say, their friends should be telling them the truth that they honestly can't hold a tune. But the crowd liked everyone that got up and made the effort. Staff were friendly and curtious and prices were reasonable. The crowd ranged from 20 year olds to 60 years old, so they catered for everyone.

The location and history of the place is something indescribable.. just love going here. There's a this lovely walk- about under the bridge etc...no place in Armadale parallels this place

The better vibe of the 2 pubs in Armadale. It has 3 bars, a snug at the front, and a larger dining room, plus a fairly large undercover outdoor eating area. There's quite a large space upstairs which I don't think is being used at the moment. The food is OK, without being fabulous, and prices are competitive. During the week when it's moderately busy, it's very comfortable, but when it gets busy, as one might expect, there can be long waits for both food and drink. Fair value.

Pub with great character and great value meals all day. Great function room upstairs (but not wheelchair accessible). So much potential for local music - it made an excellent venue for folk music. The Pub Choir was also very successful. Hard working and friendly Staff. Wish they would lose the skimpies - it draws in a bad element and is obviously not family friendly. I'd rather not eat there when people are singing bad Karaoke.

Nice casual spot, and my first time visiting, took my partner for dinner here tonight (who had been a few times before), we both had a tasty meal each. We ordered a pork schnitzel with gravy, chips and small garnish salad and the chicken parmi which also came with chips and a small garnish salad. Generous sizes. Friendly staff and patrons. Tonight the pub had the Chase The Ace raffle... with a prize of over $3k. Will be sure to come back and try another meal, been told the lamb shanks are amazing so that may be my next choice to try. Very pleasant evening. Seems this place has a few social gatherings as well. Wine tasting and photography groups plus an upcoming show - Faulty Towers show and 3 course dinner in August. Sounds like a good place to come back to.

Third time here and still pretty good quality food. Service is always with a smile too. Only grip this time was the shanks didn’t have much meat, and the brownie isn’t a brownie it’s a warmed up chocolate cake which was a bit dry, and ice cream tasted like Black & Gold. The veggie bake, Cauliflower cheese, chicken parmy and rump steak are fantastic meals. Mash potato is very creamy! Prices are what prices should be, Perth restaurants are too expensive. Will be returning again and again.

Had the fish and chips yesterday. The battered fish was awful. The fish, probably Bassa, was slimy and not firm at all. I have been to many pubs and very few use such inferior fish. This is a pity as the meals here are generally good. I would suggest buying better fish in future. The $9 pint of WA pale ale was very good.

Came in for lunch yesterday and grabbed the $20 steak chips and salad. Im usually not big on ordering steaks because im fussy about how they are cooked and usually come out over done. It's a OK place for drinks. There burgers are ok. I tried there fish with prawns. That was bad. Found out they use frozen prawns and they defrost them via placing them in water. I also had there lamb shanks. The lamb was good but there mash potato was instant stuff. Had there lasagna and I think that was just super market stuff from the fridge section. Beers are reasonable price and the chase the ace on Thursdays is ok for a group of guys to have a few beers.
