Nice place with beautiful harbour view! We celebrated my partner’s birthday there, which I believe is a good choice. We really enjoyed the foods and services there. Highly recommend their cocktails and mocktails!! You can even choose with your eyes shut!! I wanted to try their slow roasted watermelon when I look at the menu online, but didn’t find it in the menu when I arrived, I think that is the only regret.

Our second time here, today we had rocket, pear and parmesan, scallops for entrée, gnocchi and mushroom & blue swimmer crab spaghettini. Over all it was a good meal. The scallops were a little over done evidence in the photo, the salad was a little drowned in Dressing. The main, both meal had way to much salt otherwise tasted good.

Absolutely loved it here, have heard it was excellent so tried ourselves. Did not disappoint! The cocktails were fantastic, staff were very attentive and the on point service you would expect at this type of restaurant. Overall, a really pleasant Sunday afternoon out. Were seated on the deck outside and had a couple of cocktails, a beautiful bottle of Chardonnay and the seafood platter. The platter was a fantastic mix of hot and cold seafood with a very generous serving for two people. What lets the place down and why it misses a 5 star review (by a mile), was the service. Now, this could be because we drew the short straw and perhaps the young lad we had as a waiter hadn't been trained adequately as yet, but when dining in a place of this calibre this is unforgivable. Upon being seated we were not asked if we'd like to place a drink order, the drinks took a long time to come and then were slopped on the table, acknowledgement of the spill was made but no cleanup was offered, nor any replacement napkins. Constantly needed to top up our own sparkling water and wine and then ask for the empty bottle to be cleared and another sparkling to be brought and the serviettes from the previously mentioned spill to be cleared and replaced. The waiter was unable to clear a table of two without stacking plates, cutlery, etc. on the table in front of us whilst constantly reaching in front of us to stack and pack - being able to clear a table of four in one deft move should be a minimum requirement in this type of establishment. Again, a really pleasant spot, good food, yummy drinks - just needs some polishing. We'll be returning in a month or so to stay overnight - hopefully the service is a bit sharper!!

We dined at 8 @ Trinity today for a work Christmas lunch. The food that was served to us was absolutely impeccable. Every single person at our table of eight enjoyed their meals and the empty plates were proof. The service was fantastic and a special mention to our waitress Izzy, who went into great detail about the cocktail list and which ones we would enjoy. Best seafood platter I’ve had in Australia 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Went there on a lovely sunny day and the ambience was wonderful. The cocktails were so good! Their Bombe Alaska was my all-time favourite Bombe Alaska combo ….even after being sooo full from the seafood platter, I still happily finished the dessert because it was sooo good! This is a beautiful place to eat, and have some fantastic cocktails. The seafood platter is by far the best and we found it was great shared by about 5 people and a couple pizzas on the side but the meals are made to a high standard, usually. Great place for work parties and special occasions. It would be really good if the Lobsta could be done in a non creamy sauce e.g sweet chili or garlic or Thai spices (something a little different).

Wow! This is a real Gem. Food is amazing. We had the cocktails, which were amazing. Real expresso martini, see photos, platters, chilli crab spaghetti, Samin,etc. Service is absolutely great. Staff are alert, service with a smile. They actually know about the food they served. Also they explained the taste, which meant that staff actually had tasted all the food. Good on you to the owners. Lastly deserts are unbelievable. This is a hidden oasis. lol

The best place to go for a lakeside lunch. The food and service are amazing. The place is quite busy though (obviously), so recommend to do the booking first before visiting the place. Afterwards, you can also do a nice walking around boat docks near to this restaurant, which has the best view of the entire lake macquarie. The restaurant has fair car parking area, no parking fees though.

8 at Trinity is a stunning much needed restaurant and bar located at Trinity Point at Morisset Park overlooking Lake Macquarie. The town of Morisset is a peaceful community in a beautiful location that has been without a decent restaurant to go to for many years. This restaurant is not only stylish and beautifully fitted out to seat 300 guests, the food is exceptional and on par with the best food you can find in Australia. What is also fabulous, if you don't want to do fine dining you can just enjoy a tasty Pizza or dessert, drinks and tasty light bites. It's also open for breakfast, so whatever you have a hunger for, a casual feed or an upmarket experience, it has it all on offer. The location is only a quick 1.5hr or less drive up the highway from Sydney or half hour drive from the Hunter Valley. You could also easily imagine motoring up to the new Marina in front, anchoring your boat and indulging in a mouthwatering delicious meal. Trinity Point has a lot more in store coming up that will become the jewel in cap of Lake Macquarie and New South Wales as a whole. The current plans are already underway to develop the whole point into a much bigger Marina, luxury hotel, private beach and lounge/cabana pool area, function centre, short stay apartments and long stay along with housing developments. Very exciting location! I thoroughly enjoyed my indulgent lunch and will be back soon to enjoy even more delicious food, cocktails and wine!

Food was worth the wait! The server we had he kept asking if we were okay even though we were warned it will take a while to cook and suggested our sides to come out as entrée. Apologies I have forgotten his name and the manager seen our table was to small for our food quickly offered for us to move to a bigger table to which some places wouldn't of offered that.

We drove a long way in the dark and when we got there did not expect such a classy restaurant in such an isolated area. It wasn’t until a few minutes later though that the food and the drinks totally blew us away. It was an experience that we will never forget, respect!

The food was amazing. I've been in the restaurant game for over 30 years owning and managing fine dining restaurants and the food is amongst the best. Now, the service... needs lots of improvement. The staff were very friendly, but the service was very unorganised. Management needs to do a lot of training and implementing procedures. Mains arrived and we hadn't even finished entrees. The wine arrived after we finished the mains.

Lost a star for coffee but I am very fussy. Should've ordered a regular long black as the large just seemed like added water. If you're not fussy about your coffee then this place is designed to make you feel relaxed and special. Tried a dessert with coffee and presentation and taste were excellent. I had been recommended this restaurant by several people. I went there on Friday 19th November 2021 at 8pm with my wife for our anniversary. The place was very busy yet the service we received made us feel like we were the only ones there. We got the seafood platter, which we both thought was excellent. Very fresh, not filled wth chips and fried fish. There was some battered fish and crumbed calamari but I personally thought it was the perfect amount as I like a little bit of that type of seafood, the chips were delicious, but more importantly the rest of the seafood was so fresh, delicious and well presented. The cocktails and wine selection were great and the cocktails were on point. Above all that, our service was second to none as mentioned, even when I ordered a whiskey after dinner our waiter we had had all night said not a problem and referred us to their 'whiskey specialist' who was a wealth of knowledge and not only took the time to help me make the perfect selection but also let me know a heap of information relating to the other whiskeys on the menu. He even came back and wrote down some suggestions of other whiskeys I might like to try. I recommend it and I'll definitely return there. Oh p.s. we got the affogato with Frangelico for dessert and it was awesome too!

I went for lunch with two of my friends. I cannot fault the service, friendliness, the attention to detail and the professionalism of the staff. The food was to die for. Just the right amount of time between courses and they really do make a mean Margarita. As the weather was shocking with pouring rain and wind, I was escorted to my car under an umbrella by a very nice staff member. I kept thanking him for taking the time to do so. He even opened my car door for me. I really do highly recommend this restaurant. Food is awesome, staff wonderful and very reasonably priced.

I love this restaurant and have been 3 times for dinner and always been pleased with the food and the service. Yesterday was my mums 89th birthday and I suggested we go to lunch there for a treat as she doesn't get out much anymore. My brother and his family drove up from Sydney. We arrived on time and had a lovely lunch - we were a table of 7 and we had stuffed Zucchini flowers for entree (gorgeous) and then 2 seafood platters and a few other bits and pieces.. We had cocktails, wine and other drinks. Our bill was over $800 and everything was fine until we had to quickly finish our coffee as we felt we were being rushed out the door for the next service. My brother asked for a coffee as our bill arrived and was told he couldn't have one. I believe the sitting is 2 hours, which I wasn't aware of until then, but if your spending that sort of money, you should be allowed to sit and enjoy a bit more time together. It left a bit of a sour taste to a wonderful day. Will I be back? Probably, but not for a group lunch

The photos don't do this place justice. It's a new venue in the new estate in Morriset and attached to luxury yacht facilities which I didn't know existed on Lake Mac? Super nice inside with nice covered outdoor area and large lawn in front. Great food with generous portions. Good wine and cocktails. Think they are still figuring out the staffing levels for service as they seemed flat out and had we a small wait for food and drinks. Would def go back again. A nice occasion type place.

Today was our 4th or 5th time at Table 8. Usually I would have given 5 stars, but today's lunch service was ordinary. Service was poor, we waited over half an hr for our wine order to come after being told the bottle ordered was not available. Our lunch order was only taken after calling the waitress over, again after 1/2 hr. Our wine only arrived about 3 mins before our lunch came. Other issue was that the promise of reducing more expensive wine bottle to original order price was not honoured. Waitress served others whom arrived after us. Really unimpressed with today's service. On a positive side our food was the usual high standard.

Six of us had breakfast today, on previous occasions only four but today we were sat in lounge chairs which were particularly difficult for ladies to get into and are also low in regard to the table height. The ordered breakfasts and drinks were delivered promptly and were very enjoyable. Only difficulty was table access. Absolutely incredible restaurant. The atmosphere is one of luxury and calm. The staff are wonderful, accommodating, fun and kind. The food was out of this world. The menu is pricey however, the freshness and quality was unlike anything we've had before. My husband and I shared the seafood platter for 2, and every single bite was fresh and cooked to perfection. We walked the huge platter off along the brand new marina, and on return enjoyed a cocktail at the bar. Highly recommended 8 at Trinity.

What a wonderful addition to an already beautiful lake! First time visit for lunch with some guests staying with us. The menu was terrific with lots of very tempting choices. We had a shared platter (first class) mains and we shared a couple of desserts. All 7 of us were very impressed with the service, food and ambiance. We came via boat which was fabulous to be able to pull up and walk straight into the restaurant. Would highly recommend - you won't be disappointed. We will be back.

Fantastic venue ,meal and service. Would be one of the premier restaurants in lake Macquarie/The Hunter. Only had one issue , we were seated in an enclosed outdoor area , it was 13 degrees windy and rainy and both heaters either side of us ran out of gas about 45mins into our meal. We asked twice for something to be done and got no result . Not really good enough when you are spending over $110 a head. In saying this I would definitely go back .

After the lovely Natalie showed us to our table everyone else, like her, couldn’t have been more welcoming and professional. Definitely a place we will return to and where we can take our gluten free and vegan friends too.

I have eaten dinner there 3 times since opening, with parties ranging from 5 to 11 people. It's great that we finally have a local venue that offers a decent venue, ambiance and food. Most tastes catered for in the varied menu including vegetarian and gluten-free. The only real negative is the behind the scenes organisation (lengthy wait for food, over 1 hour on one occasion, about 30 minutes on the others), and the wait staff seem fairly disorganised (but friendly) - I've waited tables as a uni student and I know that good waitstaff keep an eye on their tables and are on hand to unobtrusively top up drinks etc. Having said that, it's early days and the place is worth it, so I hope they go from strength to strength.
