great venue with great vibes, food was definitely up to standard although abit pricey. The staff serving us was very kind to pour water into our cups while we were seated. However there was no mention of charge in water when we were approached directly while seating "still, tap or sparkling water?" In addition to this, while 10% surcharge on the overall ordering on weekend was made sense, there was a seperate surcharge for water too😭😭, all in all, although we were very happy with the food itself it all came down to being pricey when we only ordered 2 pizzas and 2 pasta

A little bit average if you’ve grown up with Italian food but other friends from Australia enjoyed it better. The staff were really nice and helpful. A big minus for me is the toilet not being in the restaurant (just outside) where I encountered 2 giant cockroaches! I’m thinking they might not be managed by the restaurant? So I had to refrain myself from drinking all night to avoid using those toilets again!

Fantastic take away customer service tonight by the lovely and friendly lady that served us. We have eaten here many times pre-Covid times but we find the take away service superior than their dine-in service (generally slow, in-experienced staff with little English). Tonight we ordered the $37 deal; 1 traditional pizza, 1 pasta and a garlic bread. What a great deal. Also they do $15 take away pizzas Sun-Thur. The garlic bread is fresh and homemade. Loved the chunks of garlic! The best pasta dish is hands down the Penne alla Norma - my toddler son who is a fussy eater thoroughly enjoyed the Penne alla Norma and ate 1/4 of the dish! That’s a lot of food for him as he also had 2 slices of the pizza! The best pizza from Andiamo is their Quattro Formaggi gourmet pizza and the Margherita pizza. Tonight we ordered the Margherita. Bellissimo!

I have had take away from here a number of times and the food has always been very consistent. I have also dined in previously, I would recommend if you don’t have kids. We have been there with a toddler but it’s got more of a couples and friends getting together vibe. Tonight my family had the $37 Pizza, Pasta and Garlic bread deal. We had the Pasta Alla Norma which I recommend.

We came to Andiamo with high expectations and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent - the wood fired olives and pasta dishes were particularly delicious. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for our small group. We'll definitely be coming back here for a dinner date or with a couple of friends in the not too distant future!

It was my fifth time visiting here and took away pizzas. La Potata is my fav, but I do have some questions about the Prosciutto Buon Gusto this time. The displayed photo on Uber Eats is quite attractive, while the real one suffered in the comparison. Is it because I bought it in the combo with pasta that you wanna save some costs? I don’t get it.

The seafood pasta was super nice(perhaps one of the nicest pastas I’ve had in Sydney) it was an explosion of flavors yet it was the total opposite when it came to the prawn pizza: dry, no cheese, sauceless, decorated with some unappetizing looking tomato slices and prawns😑 Baffling how can one restaurant got such different standards with their dishes. They also placed the menus on our plates which was not hygienic at all... I missed the pasta though and will go back for that.

My partner and I visited Andiamo trattoria and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. We had the spinach fettuccine ,chilli crab linguine and tiramisu for dessert. This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment!

Such a cute place, tucked away in a little haven. The outdoor seating was perfect for the warm weather. The service was wonderful and the food just exquisite. We got the Caprese salad (a special), the penne soprano and a small Margherita pizza as a starter. The serving sizes were perfect for the two of us. The pasta was divine, 100% recommend it if you're coming here. It was simple, creamy, perfectly cooked. The flavours of the sausage come through wonderfully. Our first night out after lockdown! We were feeling a little nervous and excited too. So glad we chose Andiamo. An excellent selection of Italian dishes and wines. Attentive service from the lovely manager, treating us as valued individuals. Highly recommend this restaurant for a dinner out with your partner, family or a group of friends.

Wonderful friendly atmosphere, elegant Italian decor and excellent service made our family evening out a truely rememberable experience. Delicious southern Italian food coupled with excellent wines and apéritifs. Definitely recommend the shared Signature Grilled Vegetable Antipasto to savour the different entrees on offer. As a vegan I was genuinely delighted with the variety of vegan dishes, I throughly enjoyed my Penne Alla Norma as my main. Located in a side street just off Spice Alley, not far from Central Station this is an eatery worth visiting not just once but over and over. I look forward to going again on my next visit to Sydney.

The slow cooked approach releases rich and authentic flavours. We tried a wide range of dishes including the pizza, pasta, and desserts. One of the surprise standouts was the Spinaci e Ricotta Fritters. Also be sure to try the tiramisu done with sides of espresso and gelato. Yum!

If you're not into Spice Alley then this is right in the lane for alternative palettes. Lovely decor and service. Only wished I got to take a photo but next time for sure.

I was in the Kensington Eat Street area in Central looking for a relatively quick solo feed before walking over to Carriageworks. Do not look around there very often but know they are mostly Asian eateries. The idea of an unplanned Italian was therefore an unexpected change and I had not seen this place before. Quite a large outdoor seating area, attractive in these Covid times. Ordered tortellini boscaiola (27) and a glass of nice earthy primitivo red (14). Pasta nice & hot, shaved pecorino? on top, lots of ham & suitably creamy, but unfortunately rather too heavy a hand with the salt (it's usually soups that suffer that problem). Passed this on as a comment to the nice French waitress who offered to change it but I was half way through, no time and it was not that unbearable. Particularly as there is a general lack of decent Italian at reasonable $ in the city would definitely visit again to explore more of their menu.

Quite loud, and it wasn't even full of people. The mozzarellaless and tomato sauceless lamb pizza was interesting. Because there was a lack of lubricant it felt quite dry. The taste was very good though. And the base was the killer, I could've eaten it without any toppings. Arancini was not bad, but a bit lacking. The barramundi skin was well crisped and was not fishy at all.

I came here on recommendation from a friend. The pasta I ordered tasted good, but the service was very slow. Our table's drinks arrived 15 min after each other so my friends waited tilI I got my cocktail (which was lovely). I also got hit in the forehead when the waitress opened our table's bottle of wine (but she was apologetic). Our shared garlic pizza came around 30 minutes after that and I didn't love the texture of the crust (perhaps this is the way it's supposed to be, but it felt doughy to me) I was also distracted/bemused by the kitchen - they slap their plates of pasta quite aggressively after plating and before service. I was glad to try it once but don't believe I will return.

The food was quite tasty. We had garlic and herb bread, polenta chips (yum!) and a pasta each. Unfortunately our mains took over an hour and 15 mins to come out which meant we were late to a show. We dined here with 2 little kids and the food and service was brilliant from the moment we walked in. The restaurant is located in a niche alleyway, close to central station and has a real rustic feel. The setting is charming and the staff make you feel like family. The kitchen is open for anyone to see the chef cook, which in itself demonstrates the confidence these guys have in their meals! Fresh and on par with some of the best pizzas and pastas I've had. We are already looking forward to our next visit and recommend you try their garlic cheese pizza. The calamari was a hit with the kids.

Random pick for my family and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Ordered their lamb ragu, house special pizza and a rocket salad. Lamb ragu was a beautifully done fresh pasta with a tomato base. Pizza was juicy yet with a crispy crust. Will highly recommend it. This was always our favourite Italian restaurant, we have been coming here since it opened and loved the ambience, staff and food. But our visit a week ago was not good. We walked in and a man asked us what we wanted, when I said a table for two he just pointed and said over there. I didn't know until later that he was the new manager, because he was not professional in his approach and wasn't dressed the way a manager should be dressed, with old jeans, a black skivvy, and an order pad stuck in his back pocket. Nobody brought us menus, or water, we had to try and attract a staff member for service. The person that came questioned our order for both garlic and herb bread, told us they'd run out of ginger beer (they hadn't), and after we ordered our mains asked again if we would like some garlic bread. The lovely staff, Vicky, who has been there a long time, saved the night thankfully, brought us ginger beer, and apologised for the wait when we arrived. The ambience has changed, Nobody to make us feel welcome or cared for. Not like it used to be, but maybe we will give it another try. It's sad to see a place go downhill like this.

She was friendly, charismatic and made us all feel very welcome. There had been a recent menu change she was unaware of which resulted in me ordering incorrectly. This restaurant is an absolute jewel. The food is perfect, the staff are amazing (Janade and Louis - sensational). We were in Sydney for our daughter's birthday last night. Organised my birthday dinner at Andiamo Trattoria (Chippendale) recently and staff were very helpful and patient explaining group banquet options. On the night the staff were fantastic and very accommodating to my group as we bought our own wines (note corkage $5). The pizzas and pastas were delicious and we were all impressed by the food, particularly the lamb ragu with pappardelle and pasta alla norma with enough for goody bags, which the staff kindly packed for us. Love the food and the team at Andiamo’s Trattoria Kensington. I eat there pretty frequently, and it’s due to the consistantly great tasting pizzas and the friendly staff. The pizzas are cooked perfectly, ingredients are fresh, and being able to watch the chefs craft the pizzas is a nice touch. Rustic, homely, yet contemporary, you'll be warmly welcomed and well looked after by the highly personable staff. As they would say, benvenuto nella nostra casa (welcome to our house)! Enjoy honest, homestyle Italian cooking. We were treated to a Tuscan feast, with a delicious journey through antipasti, pizza and pasta, and culminating with a succulent 24 hour marinated, six hour slow roasted lamb shoulder with a lemon gravy and roasted potatoes, and finishing with tiramisu with Italian espresso and panna cotta gelato. The Polpette were small bites of deliciousness. The meatballs in the tomato sauce were wonderful. The Arancini and Spinach e Ricotta Fritters were both crunchy on the outside with creamy fillings in the middle. The pizzas had crispy bases and the toppings were rich in flavour but not heavy at all. Just the right amount. The gnocchi were soft and the accompanying mushroom sauce was lovely. Spaghetti Marinara had a good balance of seafood in it. The Lamb was so tender and melt in the mouth. A sign of a great slow cooked lamb is if it can be cut with a spoon and this certainly fulfilled this promise. The potatoes were crispy and the accompanying salad was a great foil to the richness of the other components. Absolutely scrumptious! Finished off with a decadent Tiramisu & Panna Cotta Gelato.
