Long wait during school holidays - but they tell you when to come back. Food is a mixed bag, we had a fisherman's basket and whiting. Chips - below average Fish cocktails and whiting - top notch Prawn cutlets - average Seafood stick - very bad Stick to the fish cocktails and fish.

Brilliant fish and chips meal for our last night this coast trip. The pictures do not do justice - I was fighting the family to get these shots in before they grabbed the food. There were twice as many chip on arrival to the table - 1/2 gone in seconds!!!! Potato scallops and fish cocktails were a work of art in terms of lacy batter!!

Great fresh and not greasy!! I got the Big Dal burger (beef burger with the lot) and this thing was massive and without the food hangover afterwards. It's the type of burger that reminds me of the 90's local fish and chip shop. My partner got the fish burger, she spent the whole next day talking about how good it was. I only give good reviews when they are deserving. This place is more than we'll deserving!!!! If you are in town don't miss it.

Had fish and chips in Batemans Bay & from 2 places in Narooma before going to Blue Octopus in Dalmeny on our last night. Best value for money and best tasting fish and chips at the Blue Octopus out of the 4. Highly recommend to anyone who is staying at or passing through Dalmeny.

The staff were really kind! The burgers and sweet potato were really tasty, the burger was just a little big and salty, that's all. The grenadier was at a decent size too and was delicious.

Great location, friendly staff and good food. We got burgers and squid with sweet potato scallops. The burgers huge, hearty and tasty. The salt and pepper calamari was tasty and very tender and the sweet potato scallops are gigantic, tasty and have a very nice and light batter.

This is our second visit. Our first was in 2016 and the food here left a lasting memory that we remembered to come back again this year since we were in town. We ordered the $40 seafood meal and it was just as good as we remembered it. The fish was freshly cooked to order, and the calamari rings were large and crunchy. We'll be back again - hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Called in for lunch and grabbed some fish and chips. Cooked well - crispy batter on the fish and chips had that crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Only drawback was that it probably took a bit too long to cook and serve, otherwise would've been close to 5 star.

Talk about being flat out, while still providing yummy burgers and of course, fush and chups (sorry for the Kiwi accent slipping out). We were there during peak session, 2020 Christmas Holidays. Had to queue up to order, and wait for it to be cooked to order. Yes, it took 20 mins to make the meal, but as previously mentioned....peak season. Was it worth waiting for, you betcha!! And, once you have your meal you can sit at picnic tables with classic Aussie beach views.

Great friendly service! The Barramundi fish was so fresh and tasty and the chips were nice and not really oily. The family pack was great value and they happily swapped the calamari for more fish bites instead. Highly recommend!

Honestly, the chips were stellar. Perfectly fried with just the right crisp. I wish I had eaten them all first :'( The chicken burger was just tooooo salty :(. The ingredients for the burger are great and look fresh, and the chicken looks to be good quality, but the breading and the salt was so overpowering that I didn't get any heat or flavour from the sriracha mayo or other fixings. I got 3 bites into the burger, but had to stop eating it and the chips because I'm like salt overloaded. I reckon with much less salt this would be a terrific burger

Perhaps a little more than you'd usually pay for fish and chips but worth it in my opinion. We tried the local kingfish and it did not disappoint. Chips were fresh and just perfect.
